the lord i came shouting when they said unto me let us go into the house of the lord go ahead and wake somebody up cause you don't want to miss this we are going to celebrate jesus today can we bow our hands in prayer father god we lift you up we magnify you we praise you today we honor you god we give reverence to you because you alone are worthy jesus we thank you for interceding on our behalf for letting us know that we can come boldly before the throne of grace now holy spirit you are welcome in this place come on holy spirit we can't sing right until the holy ghost come we can't pray right until the holy ghost come we can't even preach right until the holy ghost come so father creating us a clean heart so that our worship will be for real and we give you all the praise glory and honor in jesus name we say it is so now our scripture reading today is coming from john 4 and 39 and it reads many samaritans from the village believed in jesus because the woman had said he told me everything that i ever did when they came out to see him they begged him to stay in the village so he stayed for two days long enough for many to hear the message and believe then they said to the woman now we believe not just because of what you told us see sometimes you can't go on mama's jesus you can't go on big mama's jesus but you got to hear jesus for yourself and it says now we believe not just because of what you told us but because we have heard him ourselves now we know that he is indeed the savior of the world can anybody shout i believe it i believe it [Music] praise the lord those who've given the numerology that nine is the number of birth and if that is the case and i believe sometimes it is i want you to know that god is still birthing some things in us in a spiritual realm as well and i want you to prepare for that i don't want you to ever uh get us to ever get so satisfied to think that god's best days are behind and i'm believing some things are gonna be birthed even this month if you believe that type that in the comments something's gonna be birthed in me this month god is doing something great and wonderful and i thank god for all of you for being here with us listen we have been trying to minister holistically since the pandemic and for the past 18 months we've been in this digital space and i'm just grateful to god for all of your support we still are ministering here even though our doors are closed right now for public worship and public activity i want you to know although the masses can't gather in this room we're still doing massive we're doing this we're still ministering to the needs of people uh we've had to say goodbye to some of our very best members and my heart has been broken uh deacon leon wright one of our best deacons was deacon emeritus we celebrated his life a few weeks ago brother jimmy scott who's like my right and left hand uh passed away we said goodbye to him and of course janice phillips been here a long time the sister of melvin phillips she just passed away and we celebrated her life and so it's just been painful but we're still taking care of those families and making sure that they're served and to that end if you're watching and you have a life transition or crisis uh hospitalization or if you need us we're here to serve you so even though the doors are closed we're still doing ministry and high school that whole football team about half of the football team contracted covet and so it's i'm just my my heart has been just kind of grieved and concerned and so this coming tuesday at 6 30 a.m i want you to join us for prayer online and uh we're going to stream it through all the hope tv platforms we're gonna have a prayer every week uh and early morning prayer it'll be six or six thirty this time we'll do it at 6 30. we'll hold you along but i want to pray for all the teachers principals uh paraprofessionals uh custodians uh you know those who work in food service bus drivers everybody who's connected with teaching our students i want us to make sure we pray uh because i i'm just my heart is just heavy about this and so this coming tuesday at 6 30 uh join us for early morning prayer and we're going to be doing with our with our team here just just a quick prayer i think some things uh only happen by prayer and by fasting and i'm so concerned what's happening in our school systems and i think in many instances it seems like uh they're more concerned about money than they are lives and so i want to make sure that we're praying uh i mean because this is a novel virus y'all and they keep telling us stuff and because it's new they're doing the best they can science changes daily uh first they were telling us you have to worry about little kids only old people can get it then first they were saying black people couldn't get it and so it's a lot that changes and i just think here's what god said if my people which are called by my name he doesn't need everybody he just needs his people to do it and so this tuesday this is going to be september the 7th at 6 30 a.m uh join us for prayer we're gonna have a we're gonna have a press service once a week for our school system until the lord gets this burden off of me but i've been very burdened by it and you don't have to come to the building we're gonna do it all online and uh you can watch it through the through the platforms online and so we're gonna be praying once a week uh just invading our school system as teachers administrators and our students in our prayers so would you do that for me and get the word out this coming tuesday it's going to be on hope tv on facebook platforms so make sure that you're here uh and this is uh just something that god dropped in my spirit to do it this was on the calendar but i think we got to bathe our students and our teachers and our and our parents and everybody in prayer all right and so thank you for what you're doing all right we're for major productions and we're we're thankful for that because of your support when we get back our youth will be able to have it for youth church we're gonna be able to do some i got some some crazy ideas uh that we're gonna be able to have some fun as people that's the people of god uh right here on our campus uh on the weekends on sundays so it's gonna be exciting i promise you that and uh right here uh because of your support is up so we're getting to worship god through giving today is the first sunday in september and i need you to give today and give as god has prospered you some of you were unable to give last week due to the fifth sunday but as old folks say everybody has some money around the first so i need y'all to give today and if you love what we're doing to invest in special provisions special blessings you said if we give you give back to us good measure pressed down shaken together and running over you said that if we cast our bread on the waters it will return now i speak a thirty sixty hundred thousand fold blessing on all who's gone who was so on today use these gifts and multiply them for your glory and those who don't have a job don't have anything to give would you open up the windows of employment lord so they can take care of their families and then make a contribution for kingdom building lord help us to finish the assignment the vision you saying she had to go to emergency surgery and they had looked at it and a doctor saw something on her heart they were taken up to emergency surgery i already did the pre-op and were taken under the surgery for a heart and when they got ready to do the operation they checked again and what they thought they saw they said we saw we made a mistake that's why she's out here right now while she's both working cause she can testify that we serve a god who is faithful if you know god is faithful come on type that in the comments that he's been faithful and he's faithful right now and he will be faithful come on give god praise give god the glory because we serve a faithful god hallelujah i say he's faithful come on clap your hand right there and give him glory to the faithfulness of an call your attention to the book of genesis there's a word god has given me and i think it's so incredibly apropos for the season that we're living in and uh it's the book of genesis and when you found the book of genesis i want to look at the sixth verse chapter eight genesis eight and six i read verse six and several of the following verses genesis eight and six i want to thank our praise team for blessing us they just been on fire man lord have mercy nothing like worship lord have mercy genesis 8 and 6 you'll see these words and it came to pass at the end of 40 days that noah opened the window of the ark which he had made and he sent forth a raven which went forth to and fro until the waters were dried up from off the earth and he also sent forth the dove from him to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground verse nine is interesting it says but the dove found no rest for the soul of her foot and she returned unto him into the ark for the waters were on the face of the whole earth then he put forth his hands and took her and pulled her in unto him into the ark and he stayed yet another seven days and again sent forth the dove out of the ark verse nine is interesting it says he sent a dove the dove find no rest and noah took her and pulled her back in to the ark with him i want to talk from this thought the danger of going back to normal too soon the danger of going back to normal too soon brothers and sisters last year god gave me a message at the onset of the pandemic that dealt with the life of noah and how god made a decision in genesis 6 6 that god repented that he had ever made humanity and god decided that he start the world over that god will clean up the world by allowing flood waters to come and that book of genesis tells us that god told noah how to build the ark and gave noah instructions pertaining to the cubits and then god told noah who to take on the ark with him and god sent waters the first time it had ever reigned in scriptures took place with this flood noah had preached that was going to reign the people didn't believe him and god inevitably allowed the flood waters to come and every part of civilization was wiped out except those who were on the ark noah's wife his three sons shem ham and japheth and their wives and two other animals uh male and female of each of the animal kingdom according to this scripture were on the ark with noah it's a view very beautiful beautiful passage because genesis chapter 7 verse 6 tells us that all this took place it started listen very carefully in the 600 year of noah's life noah was 600 years of age when god sent the flood waters he was 600 years of age when god sent the flood waters i said he was 600 years of age when god allowed the flood waters to come and what is interesting here is a genesis that's in genesis 7 and 6 but in genesis 8 and 13 it tells us that it was in the 601st year of noah's life the first month the first day when the waters were dried up from the earth it's very interesting because in our times we would call that january the first of the 601st year of noah's life noah was not on the ark 40 days it rained for 40 days and 40 nights but noah didn't get off of the ark brothers and sisters uh the scriptures tells us that noah did not leave the ark uh until the 14th verse of verse chapter 8. i want you to get this because it's very important relative to where we are now as a nation as a world in this global pandemic it says in in genesis 8 and 14 that was in the second month on the 27th day uh we called it our time the second month let's just call it our conversation february the 27th day the 27th so it's the it's february 27th to in the 601st year of noah's life and what i'm trying to tell you brothers and sisters that noah was if you allow me to use this terminology quarantined from the 600th year of his life up until february 27 the 601st year of noah's life noah uh had to be socially distanced if you will from what was outside of the ark for over a year noah was stuck in the ark with only the people that he knew and that he loved for over a year noah's mobility was restricted for over a year if you just let me contextualize it noah couldn't go to concerts for over a year noah couldn't have public worship in some synagogue for over a year let me put in our terms noah could attend a football game for over a year noah didn't have any contact with anybody outside of his own immediate family this was the favor of god on noah's life and noah is stuck on an ark you talk about quarantine you talk about uh social distance and at least you and i can drive to the stores at least we can go to the grocery store even though we're masked up but noah is shut in quarantine a post-diluvian quarantine he's stuck in an ark for over a year and the bible tells us that on several occasions noah is trying to figure out when will things get back to normal it is interesting here that the bible tells us in genesis chapter 7 and verse genesis 8 verse number 5 it says that the waters decreased until the 10th month uh in the 10th month on the first day of the month when noah could see the mountaintops let me put in night time that will be october the 1st the 10th month the first day that's when he was able to see the mountaintops outside for the first time they said the verse 6 at the end of 40 days and he opened up a window are you listening to me here and it says in verse 13 that on the 600th year the first month the first day the waters were dried up noah here we call this january one of the 600 the first year of his life now i'm i'm going some of this it's very important that we get this because noah is trying to figure out the whole time when will things get back to normal noah's trying to figure out when is he going to be able to get out of this doggone ark noah is sick of seeing the same people the same faces he's sick of being shut in with animal fecal matter with seemingly no deliverance from it and noah is trying to figure out when is he going to leave this ark he sees the mountaintops he sees the trees and so what did he do in verse number seven the bible says that he lets a raven leave to and fro to find out if the waters had dried up from the earth verse 8 says he sent a dove out to see if the dove had been abated from off the face of the ground it's interesting that the raven and the dove were if you let me put in our terms were guinea pigs they were they he used them to test and see was everything okay outside of the ark i want to say uh at least in noah's case noah used a raven and a dove and it didn't use children to send them back to school in florida and then threaten uh to punish teachers and school systems uh who enforce the mass mandate when florida has amongst the worst uh uh covet race in the nation it's sad when we've allowed the politicization of this virus to now make it be based on whether we're democrats or republicans and and if you wear a mass that means you're a democrat and if you don't wear a mass that means you support trump it's it's terrible when when even the former president is booed in alabama by his own constituents for trying to enforce and trying to recommend that people get vaccinated we've allowed this politicization of this virus to divide us and instead of coming together to defeat it it is it is as if the economy has been prioritized over humanity but but but but noah would not send out a human being to see if things were safe he sends out a raven and then he sends out a dove to see if the waters were abated and when noah sends the dove out verse number nine of genesis 8 it says the dove found no rest for the soul of her feet that meant that the waters were still on the ground the dove couldn't now the raven is like a dirty bird a scavenger bird we don't see what happens with the raven uh the the ravic but the dove is a clean bird the dove represents something much deeper and that dove uh did not find a place to land so the dove comes back into the ark and noah pulls the dove back inside him into the heart then it is interesting because in verse number verse number 10 it says and he stayed yet another seven days i like noah because noah is not trying to force uh him to get out he's not trying to allow his frustrations with being quarantined to make him do something prematurely he waits another seven days and after seven days he sends the fourth the dove again but the second time the dove didn't come back the dove didn't come back the second time which let noah know uh that something was going on the dove didn't the dove did not come back uh the dove did not come back but notice what happens i'm sorry verse number verse 11 when he sends the ark out the second time it comes back and it has an olive branch uh in his beak i'm gonna come back and that was that's what allowed noah to know that the that the waters had abated from the earth and then he sends out the dove again and the last time the dove never came back now i'm going somewhere because verse 13 says it was the first year in the first month that the waters were dried up from the earth so notice this this is now january 1 if you would 601 when the waters finally got dry and nora removed the covering off of the ark and he looked and behold the face of the ground was dry so in the january 1 601 of his life he looked and sees that the ground the face looks dry in the second month of the 27th day was the earth dry he looks back at it february 27th the first time he looks in verse 13 is january 1st in the 601 year of his life now it's february 27 601. he's waited another almost two months i'm going somewhere with this uh noah is not reckless uh noah is not so haphazard noah realizes that time is uh and and safety is of the essence noah is not rushing to figure out because noah number one knew that god was at work please understand this god knew noah knew that god was in control of the elements i want to tell you something that even though you might think the flood waters had the ultimate power you might think that coronavirus has the ultimate power but there's a god who controls the waters for noah there's a god who's over coronavirus for you and me but when i read this passage y'all it made me ask some critical questions uh why did noah take so long why did it take long noah almost uh one year uh in three months that's how long he was situated in this in this place quarantined and and then it made me ask another question is it possible that you and i are trying to get back to normal too quickly what would have happened if noah would have rushed out in the seventh month and tried to force things to be normal when that was not the plan of god and i'm watching a lot of people in politics and perhaps even in education and sadly even in some of our churches who use the word faith to try to make faith be used for foolishness we we have begun to tempt and test god like we're snake handlers with people's safety not realizing that we're living in a global pandemic which is like a plague in the in bible days but how you and i handle this will determine the trajectory of our lives and not just coronavirus but in any situation when god is shifting and doing something different you got to be careful that you don't try to get back to where god brought you from too quickly and in this text i see there's some dangers of trying to get back to normal too quickly the first danger is if you try to get back to normal too quickly sometimes you end up with a faulty foundation can the church say a faulty foundation a fault of foundation lewis says right here in verse number eight verse number nine that noah sent forth the dove from the ark to see if the waters were abated from the face of the earth lukewarm it says but the dove found no rest for the soul of her foot what what that scripture teaches us is this nor if the dove can't put its feet on the ground then there's no way you your wife your children your daughter's in-law the animals if there's no foundation for the dove to place its feet then that will not be a place for you to set your your feet and here's the question that as i've been wrestling with since god led me to this passage is it possible that you and i are proceeding on a foundation that's faulty is it possible that maybe everything that's happened with coronavirus is to wake us up and let us see that we've been travailing we've been traveling and traversing on something that's not solid and stable many of us are in situations that are not good for us and has no foundation and maybe god has allowed or permitted coronavirus to let us see your business plan was not on a firm foundation your relationships were not on a firm foundation your perspectives may maybe your desires your ambitions were not on a solid foundation and maybe i'm trying to get your attention because if you continue to walk on ice uh that that that is that on it looks like it's solid but it's freezing and it's shaking that your life may end up in an untenable position that you can never recover from cause you're traveling on foundations that's not solid and so i want you to ask yourself the question am i on solid footing am i on solid footing financially have i placed my dreams and my hopes in people who are fickle and not stable have i surrounded myself with people who are like the people who will cry hosanna on sunday and crucify him on friday is your foundation solid oh him writing said my hope is built on nothing less than jesus blood and his righteousness i dare not trust the sweetest frame but holy lean on jesus name on christ the solid rock i ask yourself the critical question am i trying to get back to a foundation that's faulty and flawed already because if the dove can't put its feet down that's a clear indication that it's not for you to put your feet on it's the second thing the second danger of going back to normal too quickly not only can you encounter a faulty foundation but secondly you can operate without oil you're operating without oil operating without oil notice what happened the dove couldn't put his foot down so noah took the dove back into the ark but then verse 10 he allows the dove to stay with him and seven days later he sent forth the dove out of the ark verse 11 says and the dove came back into him in the evening and lo in her mouth was an olive lord have mercy leaf pluck off so noah knew that the waters were abated from the earth it's the first time there was no there was no place for the door of the land noah takes the dove back in seven days later send the dove out the dove comes back the second time and has an olive in his beak it has an olive branch the the dove comes back with an olive branch in his beak and gives the olive brunch to noah with an olive on it that letting noah know that there was some life on the other side but what is even deeper here is that the dove is a symbol of the holy spirit and the olive is a symbol of the thing that produces olive oil the anointing and so what happens is the dove comes back and says inevitably to know uh uh uh from from a metaphorical perspective noah i want you to know that life is out there no i want you to know that the anointing is out there no i want you to know that this olive is gonna be the thing that's gonna be crushed to produce olive oil that can be used for anointing and an assignment and for healing and nora what i what i'm saying to you is this i don't want you to move forward don't you go forward until you get indication that the oil is out there no if you don't get the olive in the beak if god doesn't send you a scent a signal that there's anointing outside of here don't you proceed in anything if the anointing is not present i wish i had somebody who's watching me right now i know you want to get back to church i know you want to get back to normal i know you want to get back to the relationship but the question is what if god is telling you you've been operating in something that no anointing was there and so maybe you ought to ask god god send me a dove send me the dove with the olive in his beak to let me know if i should pursue because god if this is not you if this is not that then let me hold on to this until that comes somebody testify i'm tired of relationships that were not anointed i'm tired of people who took from me and stripped me and did not add back into my life god i'm tired of running into stuff that looks good superficially but it's terrible for my life how many of us right now have been brokenhearted and ripped and stripped and depressed because you pursued something that no oil was on but when the oil is on it you can be prosperous when the oil is on it you'll be protected when the oil is on it your heart won't be broken now say god in my emotions in my mind in my spirit center dove with the olive to let me know when it's time for me to get back to normal listen stop running trying to get back to where we were pre-pandemical if you ain't seen the oil yet somebody asked me today pastor let me get back to church when we going back on sunday morning and i'm doing all i can to force it but the problem is i hadn't seen the oh yet the problem is uh we want to get back to normal to do business like we do business uh but i'm gonna tell you something i would rather be on the ark with the oil than to be outside the oil ark and there's no oil present somebody say god show me your oil hold up show me my oil professionally show me my all ministerially show me my oil vocationally show me my oil relationally and if the oil ain't it i don't god send somebody who can grow with me who can flourish with me who can go to higher heights and deeper depths but if the oil is not there i ain't going and so here's the danger of getting back to normal too soon you'll be a faulty foundation you can operate without oil but thirdly you can compromise your covering i said you can compromise your own covering if you try to get back too soon no notice what happens so so that so the so the the dove came back verse 11 says and noah knew that the waters had been abated but he stayed on for another seven days look at the look at the look at the time noah is spending look look at how diligent and how intentional he is he stayed another seven days he sins for the ark but the third time the dove didn't come back and it came to pass in the 600 first year the first day the first month that the waters were dried up notice this that noah removed the covering from the ark lord have mercy on don't miss your shot that noah removed the covering and looked the face of the ground was dry so january 1 and 61st of his life that's when he took the covering off he takes the covering off january 1 601 he takes the covering off and he looks at the ground and verse number 13 says the face of the ground was dry now here's what you you and i got to be careful because the second time the dove came back with an olive letting him know that the olive oil that anointing was brother that life was brother he wastes another seven days send the dove out third time the devil never comes back and knows what he does now and he stays and on january 1 600 the first year of his life the waters were dried up he takes the covering off and he looks and the face of the ground was dropped now here's what you're not getting in trouble he's been covered the whole time he takes the covering off and he looks and the face looks dry here is the danger you and i when we operate without the cover and we operate based upon how it looks you and i can compromise the thing that's covered us the whole time because what happens here is that i like noah because noah just didn't look at the face of the ground my question is why didn't he move then if if it's january 1 he takes the cover off the ark he looks and the face looks dry but notice he does not exit the ark why does he not exit the ark he wastes until the following month february the second month the 27th day and the earth was dried now it looked dry january 1 601 but it wasn't really dry until february 27 601 just be careful of what you're looking at mama says everything that glitters ain't gold and everything that's good to you ain't good for you he waits without the covering but here's what blessed me y'all verse number 14 says uh verse 15 says and god spoke unto noah saying go forth from the ark now you if you message do you write this whole lesson even though it looks right even though he had an olive from the from the dove nor did not leave the ark until god comes y'all quiet in verse number 15 and 16 it says now go forth from the ark in other words i'm the same one who told you to get in the ark and if i told you to get any art keep your ear close enough to my mouth and wait till i give you further instructions and here's why it's important that you and i stay connected to god to get proper downloads because see what happens sometimes some of you got phones every now and then you got to have certain downloads on your phone but if you don't download certain things uh it can malfunction and slow down your process you got to stay in tune for the download noah had to get a second download from god to tell him when to leave he couldn't go by what was on top of him he couldn't go by what he saw until god says now it's time to leave the ark noah does not leave he stays right there until god tells him to stay because if not he would have compromised the thing that had covered him i'm finished right here some of us are so ready to get back to how things were and here's what the lord's his spirit put in my spirit it won't be back there anymore the world that you knew in march of 2020 would not be the world that you would you would know in september 2021 a whole lot has shifted a whole lot of change a whole lot of plans and if you're still operating off of the first instructions and haven't asked god to re help me to reimagine what my life looks like going forward there's some creativity in you there's some ideas in you but if we're still wanting to get back to what he brought us from you might miss the opportunity of harvest and what god tells noah in verse 17 he says no this is what you do i want you to go from the earth be fruitful and multiply in the earth take these things off in verse 20 it blessed me and said that noah built it an altar and took every claim noah had a moment of worship lord have mercy when he got the ark he had a moment of worship and made sacrifices unto god and then god tells them why the earth remaineth there's going to be seedtime and harvest cold and heat summer and one and night and day and night shall not cease noah gets an opportunity to have a harvest that's going to be plentiful now he gets an opportunity to repopulate and grow there if god gives them a principle you have seedtime in harvest you have day and night so noah but if you leave too quickly it's the fourth thing you were you will hinder your own harvest that's some things god wants to give you while you're in this that's going to take you to another level but noah here's a question are you ready are you ready for god to do something new god's gonna do something you know that he's never done before but if you are trying to get back to what he what and who you were with before noah nobody that you talked to prior to this quarantine is that any longer i've shifted some stuff the people you preached to the people you were included you were connected to before they're not they're not in your life no more no the everything that you knew prior to what you saw that's gone i need you to be creative enough to repopulate to reimagine but if you move too quickly you'll miss the download i want to say to everybody who's watching right now i believe what the lord is saying to us right now in it right now i know you want to get back to normal we're trying to get our schools back to normal we're trying to get back but maybe this is an opportunity for god to do something different i know churchill we're trying to get people back in the building maybe god was saying we were in the building too much and i never called you as a church to stay in the building maybe i called you to be in the community if we're so still busy trying to reach those amongst us maybe that's what's been happening uh we we we haven't been evangelizing jesus told us to be fishes of men but unfortunately most churches we just swap fish between aquariums because we because we've been doing it the same old way the same old revivals the same old meetings maybe god has allowed this whole quarantine maybe god has sent the flood waters to quarantine to clean up or wash up some of the way we've been operating so we can imagine something that's greater on the horizon listen god god i want here's what i want to tell you you better ask god thank god for the cdc thank god for who thank god for the government but you need to ask god god show me what you want me to do post pandemic what the same way you spoke to noah when his quarantine was over speak to me and tell me what you want me to do so i don't go back to living what i was doing before i don't know who this message was for but god gave it to me i can feel in my spirit that that that god said i got oil waiting for you but you've been operating in your old oil that's some stuff in you you don't know what is in you that god's been trying to burst out but you've been so comfortable you get so comfortable doing the same way you you and i go by what we know because no i got another oil for you another level for you but will you tap into it or you kinds of stuff people are saying could it be maybe and you want to have a big wedding could it be god was trying to tell you no don't spend twenty thousand dollars on a wedding uh have a have five hundred dollars that you spend in the backyard and have a barbecue and put that money in the bank or could it be god saying no it wasn't for you to marry them anyway i mean just maybe we got to ask god god speak it maybe maybe this person you talk about going into business with maybe god is allowing all these hold up to say no that's the wrong person now i'm trying to show you that you're walking into something in a direction that i never intended for you but i want to tell you something god is the god who will speak to us and if you need god to speak to you right now if you're you're a school teacher i saw something other day that says teachers in new york are being vaccinated people are fussing and fighting about fascination i'm not here to fuss and fight with you talk to your doctors and do what's best to choose life but i am telling you this god is speaking to us god wants to speak to us but are we still trying to get so back into what was that we can't hear god right now because we're stuck in what god said get in the ark what if noah was stuck on god telling him to get in the ark that he was not open to god telling him to get off of it maybe this is your time don't
