The Complete Lore Story of Lotus | Valorant Maps

hey everybody Jeff here and welcome to the complete lore video of lotus valorin's newest three site map now just like every new map that gets added to Valor and it is met with a lot of polarizing controversy from the community some people hate it and some people love it before we get started with the amazing lore of this beautiful map where do you guys stand when it comes to Lotus do you like the three sites the interactive doors the design of the map and the artwork used to bring it to life personally I actually really like Lotus from a gameplay perspective I like how you really need to call so many audibles throughout the round focusing on weak spots in the defense or preparing for the attack anything can happen and it really makes me have to think a lot and predict their movements which feels like a game of chess for me but anyways let's get into the lore so Lotus takes place in the western Gods area of Karnataka India I'm sure I butchered that but it shares the same similarity of the map Pearl which that it isn't located on our Earth but on Omega earth the earth that is home to the battle Legion King Ministries and all the civilians there with the mirror replicas from us over here on our Earth Alpha Earth so for the second time now in instead of us on the valid protocol defending the map like on every other Alpha map we are the attackers here are Lotus and the Battlement Legion is the ones that are defending Lotus is a beautiful Ancient Temple constructed by ancient civilizations of India with the help of an other world's presence and beings called the Guardians fans of the channel in the lower Valerie know a decent amount about the Guardians they were beings with immense Powers who sought out to help the inhabitants of Earth long long ago and give just powerful artifacts embedded with ready night like Yo's mask Carver's wristband and Asher's Gauntlet the Guardians had the ability to travel between universes and one of the ways they did that is by using a secret here on Lotus lotus's story may just be the very link we need to explain the history of valorence lore the guardian's involvement throughout humanity and the last remaining guardian importance of lotus and why did the Astro Guardians choose this place to construct its Temple well it has a far greater power than what meets the eye over over here on B site we can find that Harbor and Astra have called the Nexus Now what is the Nexus it's a means of traveling Between Worlds using the strong connection between those worlds think of it like a portal with the portal having an equal significant and Powerful portal linked together that powerful link was at the Lotus site on Alpha Earth linking Alpha and Omega together through a conversation between Astron Harbor we have learned that the city of flowers now called Lotus on Alpha Earth was destroyed they don't know who destroyed it and for what purpose but it's pretty much annihilated leaving Lotus on Omega Earth in a now freestanding isolation now Harbor and astronaut and killjoy theorize that if the Valor Legion activated the Nexus on Lotus but the Alpha version was destroyed there would be nowhere for the excess energy to go leaving a total Destruction over on Alpha Earth extending a vast distance from the ruins of alpha Lotus which would kill Millions don't ask me how the science works with this because I'm still confused on how that would be possible but their fears may have just been that Fierce because we actually saw Omega Earth's Astra activate the Nexus not too long ago it's a really cool video that shows the power this portal would have but just as it powered on a spike that Nation coming from the attack of our agents on the Valen protocol looks like it stopped the Nexus from fully powering up so I guess in a way it's still uncertain if a fully powered up Nexus will destroy a part of alpha Earth but from what we saw from the short time it was on it looks like that it's all clear for now I'm sure you guys are wondering how we even got to Lotus in the first place and to answer that I'm just gonna have to direct you guys to my Harbor lore video make sure to check that out after watching this one because it goes way way more in depth with it and explain to Harbor's integral involvement in the story to sum it up here we needed Harper's wristband to unlock the doors to access Lotus while astra's Gauntlet is the key to powering up the Nexus that's why we see omega's Astra be the one to turn it on earlier upon entering Lotus asteroid and harbor were walking around the ruins and she was amazed to see sculptures of humans and Guardians working together as far as we know guys Astra is the last astral Guardian in existence personally I'm sure there's more out there probably a ton more you know in different universes but we haven't seen them just yet I thought it was interesting how she was surprised to see them working together you know the Guardians on humans we'll talk more about all the sculptures around Lotus later but why is the map even called Lotus well it's because of the lotus flower that grows in murky swamps and Damned locations like India for example some cultures associate a Lotus with commonly serving as a sacred for Purity rebirth and strength obviously we can see Lotus is scattered everywhere across the map it seems to be that wherever a bomb site is located on the map you know a b and c a significant amount of lotuses are nearby take beside for example where the Nexus is two there is a massive Lotus above which appears to have a sort of crystal in the middle of it could it be rainy night sometimes you'll see lotuses glow around the map which tells me they are likely rating night coursing throughout its roots I wonder if it links all of them together in a sort of hive mind if you will like the infected in my new favorite show The Last of Us based off of my favorite game of all time but that hive mind concept is just a theory I have this doesn't have much to do with the lotuses but check out this tree over by a site I was roaming around the map and noticed that his roots extend out way far out and seemed to line the wall of aceite I'm wondering if there is a huge a positive unrefined radiant in the ground of lotus and that's what's giving these plants all these weird attributes you don't normally see in nature the sculptures play a very important part of lotus's history and linking the evolvement of the Guardians with ancient Humanity we can break down these three sculpture types around the map with the Guardians humans and elephants the Guardians could be mainly found in three poses I don't exactly know what each post is supposed to symbolize but I feel like the one with the guardian sitting down kinda looks like Asher when she's meditating in the Ashland plane right the second group of statues are the humans when looking around the map I really only found statues of humans sort of like underneath a big platform with a Lotus on top of it looks look like they're kind of holding it up what do you think this means could it symbolize humans are a sort of Workforce for the Guardians used to construct the map Lotus and the Nexus or do you think humans and the Guardians were more of a mutual cooperation instead of the Guardians kind of using them the last group of statues I noticed are a bunch of elephants concentrated more over by Seaside elephants in Hindu culture symbolize wisdom I don't think there's too much more to see about these elephant statues besides that it was just important for the humans carving them next we have the important stories carved in the walls on B-side showing how the Guardians arrived on Earth they seem to have taught humans how to farm arable land and possibly even show them how to domesticate animals next I believe this is when the map Lotus was built maybe humans built this Temple as a thanks for the Guardians for sharing this much needed knowledge with them you know farming and domesticating the last one shows the Guardians possibly activating the Nexus which they may have used to travel between universes next we have some interesting murals we can find scattered around the map artistically designed by the humans that made the map Lotus a cool one is the mural of a tree with a door in it that I think these might be like planets or Stars orbiting around the tree I looked at Hindu culture and there is a tree called the tree of immortality that might be what they painted here what do you think perhaps the orbiting stars or planets symbolize the importance of lotus with the Nexus and the ability to travel not even amongst the stars but pass them into other universes there are many other murals though I'll quickly show them off and briefly explain what they might mean there's a mural of panthers amongst trees underneath the sun Panthers are seen as symbols of power there's a mural of elephants around a blue lotus with what looks like stars or even entire galaxies above it likely again symbolize the importance of the and the role of the Nexus there are murals of more animals important to Indian culture like the cobra with the Lotus above it and a mural of three peacocks overall in defender's spawn of lotus we see signs that Atlas has been here and starting to set up supplies there isn't too much important things here with all this besides the lab top on top of this crate this is where we will occasionally see emails pop up on this laptop with Mission reports performed by Atlas if you guys didn't know Atlas is from Omega Earth and isn't affiliated with either Kingdom Industries or development Legion but work very closely with them in my entire Valor lore Story video I talked for like 15 minutes straight about Atlas and their integral involvement of Omega Earth's advanced technology and advancements in interstellar travel a lot of the success can be directly due to Atlas organization originally we thought that their working relationship with the valley Legion was pretty good you know pretty solid but this laptop once had an email on it that read quote the team has arrived setup is done track to conclude within the hour our presence is being kept to a minimum per orders we have received Allegiant ambassadors report of the latest encounter I suspect information was omitted I will conduct our own investigation and submit our findings my team is Mission briefed any Alpha presence detection will be reported immediately there is another email that popped up on that laptop that's still kind of plays into that notion the violent religion is hiding some information from Atlas and possibly even King Ministries as well but determine the Scorch marks on the floor of the primary structure to indeed be new we're looking into their Source residual energy readings don't match the database samples for analysis will be collected and ready for transport by next resupply I request that an unredacted version of legion's original report be obtained by any available channels so that sounds to me that each organization whether it's Kingdom Industries Atlas or the valley region all hold their own Secrets against each other and might want to achieve their own personal goals first above the other major powers of Omega Earth one nice thing I do want to talk about about Lotus is the funny little tactile plus just scattered around the map I always love these little Easter eggs thrown in by the devs just for like shits and giggles as far as I know they hold no story in the lower Valerian but just fun little things they add while I'm sure laughing in the workplace are where they can put the most obscure locations for attack to Plush most of the ones in Valor Maps you'll never find unless you go into ghost mode in a custom game like this this one literally underneath the map you will never see this in game but it's still in there which I always find hilarious besides that guys I just want to give one last props to the art and lighting department because I think aesthetically Lotus is a beautiful map I hope you all enjoyed the video if there's anything I missed please
