okay you already read the title you already know how icebergs work I won't bore you with a drawn out intro today we're checking out Infamous controversial and sensored episodes of kids shows which were banned for one reason or another in a chart created by silven road so grab your snacks a blanket and relax as we dive into the Band episodes of kids shows Iceberg explained tier one barbecuer Dexter's Laboratory in the fourth overall episode of the Dexter's Laboratory series which aired on May 18th 1996 the second part of the episode was titled barbecuer and was a part of the dim for monkey segment which typically would feature Dexter's pet monkey who was given superpowers and fights alongside his telepathic sidekick agent honeydew this particular episode only ended up airing once before it was banned and never aired again there were a few initial theories in the early 2000s as to why the episode was banned ranging from the character crunk getting drunk at the end of the episode to the silver Spooner being a gay stereotype well it was actually because of the silver Spooner but not for that reason actually it was just because the character was deemed too similar to the Marvel character the Silver Surfer which the episode was paring the character barbecuer that the episode is named after is in his own right a parody of the Marvel villain galatis Buffalo Gals Cow and Chicken the first half of the seventh episode episode of season 2 was called Buffalo Gals airing first on February 20th 1998 the episode revolves around a group of female bikers breaking into the house of cow and chicken with one of them taking a fancy to cow and inviting her to join their group leaving chicken to try and rescue his sister the episode ended up being banned and replaced from subsequent airings due to the many sexual innuendos and jokes present throughout such as the Buffalo Gals referring to pitching and catching according to one of the writers who worked on the episode Bill Bernett the lesbian undertones were never intentional and they merely took a liking to cow and hated chicken because they liked that she was bulky and disliked chicken scrawny frame censored 11 Looney Tunes the censored 11 are an Infamous collection of Looney Tunes and Mary Melody's cartoons which have all been pulled from Air due to their ethnic stereotypes and racist depictions of black characters the full list includes 1931's hitting the trail for Hallelujah land 1936's Sunday go for meet and time clean pastures and Uncle Tom's Bungalow both from 1937 jungle Jitters and the aisle of Pingo Pongo 1938 1941's all this and rabbit stew the infamous Cole black and de Seven Dwarves as well as Tin Pan Alley Cats from 1943 and lastly Angel pus and Goldilocks and the jiven bearss 1944 deadly force gargoyles the most controversial episode of the Gargoyles cartoon has to be episode 8 of season 1 deadly force which concerns a member of the Manhattan Clan Broadway who accidentally shoots oisa with a gun he does take her to the hospital and she ends up recovering but this plot point is pretty dark for a kids's cartoon especially since there was blood present in the scene the episode was meant to be about gun safety a positive message for kids but was pulled from Air due to the subject matter being deemed too sensitive at the time although it was later re-aired albeit with the scene in question censored so as to remove Alisa's blood electric Soldier Porygon Pokemon also known as denos Sensi Porygon is the most infamous episode of Pokemon ever to air which it only did so in Japan on December 16th 1997 after which it was pulled from broadcast and never aired again this is because of an incident that took place in Japan because of the episode known as the Pokemon shock in which over 600 children across Japan suffered epileptic seizures as a result of the flashing lights in one of the scenes where Pikachu blocks incoming missiles using his Thunderbolt attack which caused a series of flashing blue and red lights some people got off easy with just headaches nausea or blurred vision though some suffered actual convulsions and full-on seizures not only leading this episode to be pulled but also to the entire Pokemon anime going on Hiatus for 4 months probably the only episode on this list to actually cause real life physical damage to its viewers Leap Frogs Rocco's Modern Life here we have the first segment of the sixth episode of season 1 of Rocco's Modern Life released on Halloween of 1993 it was rumored to be banned after just two airings of the episode but in actuality it aired for quite some time up until 1997 when it was pulled from Air due to controversial sexual humor between Bev bighead and Rocco as throughout the episode she invites Rocco to her house and tries to seduce him in order to get back at her husband the episode is available for streaming and home media and it did even reair unedited on Nick Tunes in 2002 Mr Ratburn and the special someone Arthur this is one of the newer episodes featured on this list releasing on May 13th 2019 and being the first episode of the 22nd season of Arthur which was not aired by two PBS Affiliated TV networks in Alabama and Arkansas because it payed a same-sex marriage of Arthur's Teacher Mr Ratburn and a guy named Patrick overall the episode was positively received for its message and was even nominated for an award despite it being controversial among some Christian groups Mr Skinny Legs Peppa Pig airing originally in November of 2004 Mr Skinny Legs was the 47th episode of the very first season of Peppa Pig about Peppa trying to get rid of a spider that became friends with George the episode episod is pretty tame overall so you might be wondering how or why this episode was controversial and banned well it was only banned in Australia along with another spider themed episode spider web because of the simple fact that it sort of encouraged friendship with spiders to its young viewers when in Australia spiders aren't really always just harmless little guys like this Mr Skinny Legs character they can be straight up Dark Souls bosses I mean to be honest this is one I can kind of get behind it's a bit of an overreaction probably sure but come on this is Australia we're talking about every mob in this country one shots I mean we all know that by now and I'll spare you the images that I had to see of some of the more dangerous spiders found in Australia trust me you don't want to see them also they can be poisonous and actually deadly they don't just look like bloodborne enemies they will actually kill you one beer tiny tune Adventures one beer is a segment featured in the third episode of season 2 of Tiny Tunes Adventures which which aired on September 18th 1991 the segment became controversial and was pulled from syndication due to it involving the characters of Hampton Plucky and Buster finding a beer in the fridge and getting drunk off of it after which they proceed to do a bunch of Reckless stuff including driving off of a cliff the episode was definitely meant to be a warning of the dangers of underage drinking drunk driving and alcohol as a whole although maybe it was perceived that they made the character's drunken Adventures look a little too fun and less like something kids should be scared of Rude Removal Dexter's Laboratory this is quite the infamous one that I've brought up countless times on this channel by now it's an episode from season 2 of Dexter's Laboratory that never aired due to Cartoon Network disliking the concept of the character swearing even if they were censored the actual story revolves around Dexter making an invention called the Rude Removal Machine which removes his sister DD's rude behavior from her good behavior although eventually the rude clones managed to get out of the lab and wreak havoc on the house the episode was shown around at a few conventions but didn't air officially until it was broadcast on YouTube as well as adultswim.com before it ended up being taken down although it had already been archived by that point and this piece of lost media had been found although there were rumors circulating of an unreleased cut of the episode with the characters uncensored swears but these are merely rumors and there is no evidence of its existence to date see me feel me know me the Powerpuff Girls this episode although broadcasting in October of 2003 in the UK and March of 2004 in Canada wouldn't be released until 2009 in a DVD release because of it being banned in the United States it was speculated to have been pulled from Air due to stroboscopic lighting effects such as those seen infamously in the Porygon Pokémon episode as the episode does contain a seizure warning for the flashing lights there was also another rumor that that it was banned because it had something to do with Communism I guess because of the red everywhere and it was even stated that it was also banned because of metal beams in part of the episode that resembled crucifixes for some reason as well as one of the hippie characters that looked like Jesus Christ so take your pick on why it was never actually aired I guess though I think the one about the flashing lights is the only one that really makes any sense to me personally sugar time Hinesburg Vermont postcards from Buster even even before the same-sex marriage featured in the Arthur episode Mr rabburn and the special someone there was a lesbian couple featured in a postcards from Buster episode called sugar time Hinesburg Vermont the episode aired only once on March 22nd 2005 before going unaired ever since it was an extremely rare piece of media after this with no home media release of any kind and no real means of archiving The episode leading it to becoming lost media until the episode was uploaded anonymously to a cartoon piracy site to which it is now readily available online episode 847 Sesame Street this is a certified lost media classic also known as the Wicked Witch episode which you guessed it is a wicked witch themed episode of Sesame Street it originally aired only once on February 10th 1976 and was met with almost Universal distaste and quickly became one of the show's most controversial episodes most of the feedback came from parents believing the witch was much too scary for their kids leading to the decision that the episode would no longer reair and after this it faded Into Obscurity and became one of the Holy Grails of lost media only surfacing in 2022 when the episode was anonymously uploaded online in June of that year tier two Beauty and the beach Pokémon Beauty and the beach was the 18th episode of the first season of the original Pokémon anime about the main gang of characters having a relaxing vacation on a beach which was banned in the United States and didn't actually air making it one of the Lost episodes due to It featuring scenes that were deemed too sexual such as one where James cross dresses and wears inflatable breasts there were quite a few other very questionable voice lines in the original Japanese version which were changed when the episode was finally dubbed and aired in America although any sexual references were censored out of this version Big Brother Caillou Caillou airing in November of 1996 during the first season is the fourth episode Big Brother Caillou which was about a younger toddler Caillou however the episode became banned in the United States in 2006 and was pulled from additional screenings after parents and critics complained about one disturbing scene in which Caillou violently pinches his infant sister Rosie which was disliked for setting a bad example exle for siblings as well as for being too disturbing for such a show directed at young children in general blue cat Blues Tom and Jerry this has to be the most infamous episode of Tom and Jerry and for a good reason it was even rumored at one point to be the dark finale of the shorts it was first released on November 16th 1956 and is one of the darkest episodes of any kids cartoon I've seen as the episode concerns Tom sitting and waiting on train tracks waiting to be hit by the train before he is also joined by Jerry as they both lost their love interests in the episode that's right it's a Tom and Jerry episode where they commit game end it cuts away before they're hit by the train but you can hear its whistle before it fades out unsurprisingly it was banned for a while due to this controversial moment but it did continue to air infrequently from time to time especially in the '90s on local stations as well as on TBS and TNT Caillou's getting older Caillou another episode of Caillou season 1 which aired in April of 1999 and was also banned from airing in 2006 due to it prominently featuring the concept of death as is shown through the death and burial of a bird it also discusses a fear of getting old as Caillou's dad talks about how it's harder for him to see as he gets older I guess it was just deemed that these subjects were a little too much for the Caillou audience at the time conspiracy Buzz Lighty year of Star Command originally airing first on November 21st 2000 this episode of Buzz Lightyear Star Command centers around Buzz Being Framed for attempting to assassinate the president and subsequently breaking out of jail to find the ones who framed him nothing all that controversial it seems however this as well as the episode titled Inside Job were baned from airing on reruns after the 9/11 terrorist attacks due to the episodes revolving around terrorist m in some form or another durf fur's Face Donald Duck also called Donald Duck in nutsy land or a nightmare in nutsy land was an anti-nazi propaganda short created by Disney in 1942 that depicts Donald Duck working in a hellish Factory in Nazi Germany the piece was actually widely acclaimed as it won the Oscar award for best animated short film at the 15th Academy Awards however due to its subject matter as well as the fact that it depicts kid-friendly Disney mascot Donald Duck as a Nazi the film wasn't made widely available until it was released as part of a DVD in 2004 the short was also banned unsurprisingly in Nazi Germany as well as a few other countries famously it's been rumored that Hitler was actually a big fan of Disney and his films flying dupes Tail Spin this is the series finale of the Disney animated series tail spin which released on August 8th 1991 the episode follows beloo from The Jungle Book delivering a package to the high Marshall of thria the country in which the series takes place only to find that the package was secretly a bomb it only aired one other time in 1999 which was likely a mistake and from then on it was not aired again although it did receive a DVD release in 2013 it was likely banned from airing due to the terrorism theme once again even though it stopped airing for the September 11 attacks he in a hand basket Rocco's Modern Life this episode from the fourth season of Rocko's Modern Life concerns heer selling his soul to the devil to be on a game show who in the Rocko's Modern Life world is called peaches who sends heer to heck this world's equivalent of Hell only to get eventually fed up with him and send him back to the real world because of It featuring The Devil as well as a main character selling their soul and going to hell for it the episode was pulled from the Teen Nick lineup although it did occasionally air on other networks and even joined the Nick rewind Block in February 2021 hot spells Darkwing Duck a similar case here with Darkwing Duck of an episode that aired on Halloween of 1992 and was pulled from Air due to it prominently featuring the devil or in this case beel abub who disguises himself as a janitor in the episode and tries to steal dark Wing Soul this is in fact one of the rarest episodes in the show which is unavailable on any known home media releases and is unable to be streamed on Disney Plus or purchased digitally Inside Job Buzz Lightyear of Star Command this is that other terrorism themed episode I mentioned that was also banned after 9/11 alongside conspiracy this one was the fifth episode of the first season and debuted a year before the attacks on October 6th 2000 the plot of the episode follows another assassination attempt interestingly Enough by a group of terrorists targeting the ambassador of garganta who is under the protection of Team Lightyear mass transit Trouble Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog here we have another episode that was affected quite heavily by the events of 911 this was the 46th episode of The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog series which aired on November 8th 1993 the episode revolved around a terrorist plot by Dr Robotnik to blow up a train using bombs which was a premise that led it to getting pulled off the air for the first time due to the Oklahoma City bombings which took place in 1995 I said in the beginning that it was affected by 9/11 as well because after that it was pulled a second time from it airing on ton Disney after the September 11 attacks midlife crustation SpongeBob SquarePants here we got our first SpongeBob episode of the iceberg season 3's midlife crustation episode 55b you remember this one you know the one where Mr Krabs tries to act young again hanging out with SpongeBob and Patrick eventually going on a panty raid in which they attempt to break into people's houses and steal their underwear yeah looking back this was kind of a wild premise for a SpongeBob episode but it kept airing for a long while ever since its initial release in 2003 up until February 2021 which was the last time it was aired on Nickelodeon and Nick Tunes with the episode even being removed from the streaming service Paramount plus Mickey takes care of Pluto Mickey Mouse works this short was a part of the Mickey Mouse Works animated series and featured the characters Pluto and Minnie as Mickey drops off Pluto at her house and Pluto has one side of himself telling him she's out to get him and the other angel on his shoulder telling him that she loves him the short became somewhat controversial after airing and was pulled from its ABC schedule and was never broadcast in the us since this is due to a few nightmare sequences that Pluto has that were deemed too scary for kids such as a scene in which Minnie buries Pluto alive another where she tries to kill him with a mace one where Minnie poisons him and another where Pluto even Goes to Hell apparently though not the first time this happened as this also occurs in Pluto's Judgment Day Pingu argues with his mother Pingu also called Pingu quarrels with his mother aired in August of 1995 and was part of its third season the episode contains an Infamous scene that led to it being banned and pulled from many networks and even home media releases that being a scene in which pingu's mother slaps him on the face although the episode did still air on Cartoon Network at some point on the small world block and can still be readily found today pingu's lavatory story Pingu also known as little accidents is an episode from the first season of the show and the only episode from season 1 not to be released on DVD in the US and interestingly enough with a lot of these entries usually the episodes are just banned in the US or the UK or some other country but it usually doesn't expand to all over the world but with this one it was banned in many countries including Japan Canada and the UK and why you might be asking well because of an uncensored scene where Pingu pees on the floor at least that's thought to be the reason why as the VHS release shortened this specific scene from that cut room to ride Arthur another band Arthur episode This Time season 12's room to ride which debuted on October 13th 2008 and features the character Binky Barnes attempting to get more bike Lanes in the city after getting into a biking accident himself the episode was said to have been pulled from Air after the Lance Armstrong doping Scandal an Olympic gold medalist that faced accusations of taking performance in enhancing drugs during competitions Binky even watches one of his races in the episode which led to it being pulled off the air although the episode did release on home media and even continued to air on other channels such as on certain PBS stations Supernova Buzz Lightyear of Star Command airing on October 25th 2000 this episode was taken off the Airing schedule after only two showings due to the plot of the episode revolving around the character Mira NOA becoming addicted to phasing through radiation which some interpreted as being too similar to drug addictions as the character even suffers from withdrawal symptoms and struggles to stop even when her father pleads with her tentacle and Tentacruel Pokemon there are quite a few early Pokémon episodes featured on this Iceberg and here is the 19th episode of the show which aired in the United States on October 1st 1998 but ended up being temporarily banned due to 9911 once again as the episode contained a scene in which Tentacruel destroys a skyscraper however you can still briefly see the scene in the intro sequence and it also did air again when Cartoon Network picked up the series but was pulled again after Hurricane Katrina in 2005 as the episode also depicts a city that is flooded the great McGrady Arthur interestingly enough this episode was also pulled from syndication due to its association with the Lance Armstrong doping case the actual episode is very sad as it is about Mrs McGrady being diagnosed with cancer however Lance Armstrong gets brought up because of his own cancer diagnosis and recovery and he even eventually comes to their city and goes on a bike ride with Francine the episode today is now kind of hard to find at least when it comes to streaming services and its last airing in the US was in 2012 however a revised version of the episode was released in 2021 which replaced Lance Armstrong with Uncle slam a wrestler that dresses like the US mascot the mask of matches Maloney Batman the Brave and the Bold this episode of Batman the Brave in the Bold never aired on Cartoon Network because of a specific scene in the song birds of prey which received some backlash for its sexual references such as one line in the original version where Huntress holds up her finger and waves it while talking about Aquaman's little fish in reference to his uh you know this part was eventually edited out of the scene when it was eventually finally released twistery the Fairly Odd Parents airing on October 19th 2001 the 20th episode of season 2 twistery centered around Timmy wishing for the founding fathers to help him with his history assignment which causes an alternate reality where America is never formed due to them not being part of part of their timeline after its debut the episode stopped airing due to what was perceived as mocking representations of the founding fathers although it did eventually air again starting in 2016 tier three alive in chicken 101 Dalmations the series 23A or the first segment of the 23rd episode of the 101 Dalmations animated series focused on the character spot who believes that the Human family is out to get her which leads spot to eventually deciding through the help of her friends to try and live her life to the fullest breaking past all her fears one of which is flying and a scene in the episode shows her flying into a windmill and crashing a plane which was enough to get the episode removed following the September 11 attacks the episode can be found today on Disney plus Caillou makes a new friend Caillou airing on March 27th 1998 is another episode from season 1 of Caillou which ended up being banned allegedly it's because of cayou's friend Jim's behavior in the episode as he wants to be first in everything and makes Caillou Cry by wanting to be first on the swing or on the slide and stuff like that sounds pretty tame to be honest at least when compared to some of these other episodes and Jim even learns his lesson at the end of this episode so this one seems kind of random to be honest Caillou's quarrel Caillou Caillou's quarrel is an episode from season 1 which aired on April 1st 1999 and in the episode as the title suggests Caillou fights with and yells at one of his friends Clementine which makes her sad the episode was banned around 2006 because of the harshness of Caillou towards Clementine who really did nothing wrong the episode was later finally aired again in 2021 although with the fight segment heavily edited with most of Caillou's rant cut out capture at the Pokemon Tower Pokemon a lot of episodes were pulled because of 9/11 we know that much by now but this one is still a bit of a mystery it was never mentioned why the episode stopped rearing on Kids WB but the theory is simply because of its English title Tower of Terror and really nothing more than that what of the more insane reasons if I'm being honest here dance Pokémon showbo Pokemon also known as stage fight is the 90th episode of the Pokemon anime which aired in the United States in February of 2000 but was subsequently left out of many home media releases and was also made unavailable on streaming services such as Netflix and wasn't even seen on pokemon.com the reason is because the episode included the Pokemon Jinx who had a controversial original design with it being compared to racist caricatures the Pokémon subsequently would have its skin tone changed to purple flight as a feather The Mask this episode of The Mask from season 2 became quite controversial due to its relatively intense subject matter at least when it comes to a TV y7 broadcast it was a different time though clearly as the episode aired in September of 1996 the scene that likely got this episode removed from broadcasts was one in which a character named cookie de booom a scantily clad woman takes off her coat to reveal she's naked except for Dynamite strap to her body which she intends to use to blow up her and the mayor before she is stopped and the dynamite is removed from her body leaving her naked you don't actually get to see it but you do get to see the reactions of the other characters a pretty wild scene for a kids show I can't lie quarantined crab SpongeBob SquarePants quarantined crab is a SpongeBob episode from season 12 which aired in America in April 2022 however the episode was in production much earlier in 2019 and even released in Canada in 2020 however coincidentally the plot of the episode ended up being similar to the pandemic that would affect the world around the same time as the episode focuses on the outbreak of a disease called the clam flu which leads to the Crusty Crab being locked down and put under quarantine because of this the episode was not included in the season 12 DVD release and was not aired when it was initially completed in 2020 because of it similarities to the pandemic and was only finally officially broadcast in the United States on April 22nd 2022 last Horizons Tail Spin premiering in November of 1990 as part of the tail spin Animated Series this episode received backlash for its plot which some deemed too similar to the events of World War II as well as for its Asian stereotype depictions as the episode followed beloo finding a place called pandal la which at first welcomed him with open arms only for them to turn around and attack the city of Cape Suzette which in this case represented Pearl Harbor with Emperor Juan low and his people representing the Japanese its last official airing was in December of 2022 and since then has not reran at all not even being made available on Disney plus although it can still be watched on some home media releases magnificent Sonic Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog this episode of The Adventures of of Sonic the Hedgehog aired on October 7th 1993 and was not initially controversial upon its release it's a western type episode with the name of it taking inspiration from the Magnificent 7 movie as it follows Sonic and tales stopping at a town called tranquil Gulch where Sonic is convinced into becoming the Town's new sheriff and Robotnik even challenges him to a one-on-one duel nothing too crazy but the episode does feature quite a few guns as it makes sense for the time period they show showcasing however after the Coline massacre in April of 1999 it was deemed too insensitive to continue airing this episode although today it has since gone back into circulation Pingu at the doctors Pingu also called I don't want to go to the doctor is the first episode of season 2 airing in November of 1991 this episode was banned in many countries including being the only episode of the show to be banned in Poland but interestingly enough it wasn't in both the US and the UK the reason for its controversial status was because it showed blood after Pingu runs into a table with his beak ready for the betties Phineas and furb this episode did not go unaired because of Any controversial moment or relation to some real life tragic event but instead it was because the episode features a band called The betties which was a band in real life which the writers were unaware of and due to this the episode did not air until May 22nd 2015 on the Disney Channel when any copyright disputes were I guess settled the episode has still been available though for a while on other services such as iTunes and Netflix rell's Christmas Pokemon also called holiday hij jinkx is another Infamous Pokémon episode which was removed from syndication following the controversial original design of jinx who was prominently featured in the episode it was also effective by the Porygon episode as it was scheduled to be the 39th but had to be rescheduled after the episode 38 Fiasco the episode itself ended up being pulled from Air shortly after release and was also not seen on many home media releases only being seen on Boomerang much later in 2011 the legend of mini Ryu Pokemon so many Band episodes from Pokémon this was another early episode airing in Japan in November 1997 and never airing in America and in fact didn't air in many countries at all outside of Japan this is due to the fact that the episode contains a lot of firearms guns the character Kaiser even holds a pistol up to Ash's head and threatens him with it there was also a rumor that it was banned because of an interrogation scene involving Meowth in which he wears a mustache which some compared to that of Adolf Hitler but it's likely this had nothing to do with the Banning of the actual episode however it Still Remains as one of the original Pokémon episodes never to be dubbed in English tier four Al Leen on the property chip Andale Rescue Rangers episode 44 of season 2 of Chip Andale Rescue Rangers which aired on April 16th 1990 is another episode affected by 911 as it contains scenes that were deemed too similar and so the episode ended up being banned from future reruns although it did exist on Disney Plus and iTunes and even resurfaced on Disney XD during a marathon of the show in 2022 the episode was about fatat and a group of moles underneath buildings which end up almost collapsing due to them messing with the foundations I guess anything involving the damaging of skyscrapers back then was basically just off limits Binky versus Binky Arthur airing on May 24th 2004 this is the first segment of episode 8 of season 10 which yet again ended up being pulled from Air due to its relation to the Lance Armstrong doping Scandal and it's here I learned that there are apparently a whopping five episodes which had to be pulled because of just this one case the episode centers around Binky taking up the sport of cycling en counting a character called Vance legstrong a character clearly inspired by Lance Armstrong pingu and the doll Pingu Pingu and the doll aired in March of 2000 and is the 22nd episode of season 4 with it centering around Pingu pretending to be a Native American which led to it being banned in most of the United States where it was broadcast due to the stereotypical depiction which some might consider offensive it was also interestingly enough one of the only episodes to be banned in Japan and it has since been added to Amazon Prime streaming service Pingu runs away Pingu also called Pingu runs away from home is an early episode of season 1 which was created in 199 90 and follows the titular character storming off in the middle of the night and believing his parents no longer love him at which point he encounters a bunch of scary looking ice monsters at night which were deemed too frightening for kids and so was pulled from Air in both the UK and the United States although it did see a home media release in the form of a DVD in America pingu's First Kiss Pingu a lot of Pingu episodes on here this one is from the second season in in January of 1992 with the episode following pingu and his friends ice skating as well as him having his first kiss with his girlfriend pingy apparently penguin beak kissing was considered too much for children's eyes in the United States and the episode was band Romancing the Clone raw tunage raw tunage is a Disney animated TV series which ran from September 1992 to September 1993 for a total of 12 episodes which each had four segments the third segment of episode 6 was titled Romancing the Clone and was about the character Norman dressing up as a female marsu palami a fictional comic book animal species which leads to another character Mars falling in love with him the episode was said to have been banned because of its depiction of sexual harassment spiderweb Peppa Pig the 178th episode overall which aired in December of 2011 11 is the other spider related Peppa Pig episode which was banned in Australia I basically already Illustrated the whole point behind that with you know Australian spiders kind of being built different and not being something you just mess around with don't try to be friend spiders in Australia kids stoky The Bear The Dudley dght show the second episode of The Dudley dght show aired originally as a segment of episode 16 of The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle in friends show the episode features is a satirical version of Smokey the bear who ends up being hypnotized by a villain and used to start forest fires rather than fight them this led to the episode being banned in the United States after the US Forest Service protested against their parody of the character the ice cave Pokemon this is another episode of Pokemon which didn't get many airings outside of Japan again this is another one of the episodes that featured jinx's original design hence why it was banned there were certain episodes of the dub that had the Jinx Pokémon but they were able to trim out any sections featuring it but this wasn't one of those cases due to the Pokémon featuring as a main character throughout to this day the episode has not seen an English dub release the kitchen Casanova what a cartoon what a cartoon is an animated Anthology series featured on Cartoon Network for 16 episodes and 48 segments in total one of these was titled the kitchen Casanova Nova which showed a character named Jesse accidentally cutting their finger while cooking which results in blood being drawn we know by now blood and cartoons was a big no no at least in the 9s when this initially aired which led to it being taken off syndication tier five Casanova cat Tom and Jerry here we have another Tom and Jerry short from 1951 which is Infamous because of a scene in which we see Jerry in blackface the episode only aired in the United States with this scene completely removed and because of this controversial moment the episode was not included in many home media releases at least in the US although it did appear unedited in a European Classics Collection contagian amphibia this is another episode of a show that came out at an unfortunate Time released just before the pandemic in 2019 this episode of amphibia shows the character an prot to be sick to get out of work only for her family to actually get sick which leads to Anne having to take care of all of them it's presumed that due to the episode revolving around some sort of viral illness as well as the episode's title that it was banned for being insensitive as it came out just before the pandemic would take place in the real world although it did start airing again in October of 2020 on Disney XD I just don't get it Kabam here we have a season 2 episode of Kabam which aired in 1997 but after the Twin Tower attacks its reruns were cancelled due to a segment called Action League now which was a liveaction SL stopmotion segment in which a character known as the mayor or Colonel mayor hatches a plan to launch missiles to destroy the capital city before his plans are thwarted by the Action League the episode has since gone on to reair a few times and is available on Paramount plus Mouse cleaning Tom and Jerry another Tom and Jerry short here released initially in 1948 but later re-released in 1956 with the offending scene removed in which Tom ends up in a pile of coal only to emerge with blackface and in an even more racist scene mamy two shoes believing I guess Tom to be a black person talks in a stereotypical voice saying quote hey you has you seen a no- good cat around here unsurprisingly this led to the episode being banned from airing in the US until the scene with Tom was redrawn and re-edited the short also never released on home media alongside the other blackface episode Casanova cat One Flew Over the loudhouse the loud housee released on October 15th 2016 this was an episode of the loudhouse that was about a cold going around at their house in which Lincoln believes that it's the start of a zombie outbreak with his sisters being its first victims you can probably see where this is going by now as the episode was pulled from Air after the pandemic due to I guess any kids shows having any mention of illnesses or flu or anything being deemed insensitive at the time quest of The Red Skull Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends season one episode 13 of Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends features the antagonist Red Skull as well as Adolf Hitler yeah in fact it shows a lot of Nazis as well as swastikas in flashback sequences due to their Association with Red Skull leading the episode to only year one time before NBC sheld the episode indefinitely Satoshi and nagaru touchdown of friendship Pokemon so for the Pokemon episode so far it's been mostly the early ones but here we have the 13rd episode of the overall anime and the 64th episode of the Sun and Moon series which only aired in Japan on March 1st 2018 never receiving an American Rel release this is because in the episode Ash tries to impersonate a Pokémon called piman and wears dark face paint resembling black face and so the episode was skipped in the English dub the police competition Bubble Guppies this episode premiered in September of 2013 as the second episode of the third season in which police officer Miranda teaches the kids how police and the laws protect people and tells them why they should obey the laws themselves how however in the wake of the George Floyd protests of 2020 Nickelodeon removed the episode from future airings as well as from on demand streaming platforms however the episode today can still be viewed on Paramount plus the shindig Mickey Mouse the shindig is a very early Mickey Mouse cartoon from the 1930s which sees Mickey and friends at a barn dance in which he dances with Minnie and Patricia pig as well as plays the harmonica the short was rarely aired on TV outside of censored edits and was even outright banned in Ohio because of a scene in which the character clarabel can be seen naked reading a book called 3 weeks which is a 1907 erotic novel that was controversial at the time the spirit of 43 Donald Duck here we have another propaganda cartoon created during World War II hilariously enough though it isn't a direct kind of War short instead it focuses on trying to encourage Americans to pay and fight their taxes accurately so as to Aid the American war effort and stop the Axis powers this is portrayed through the character of Donald Duck who acts as a surrogate for the audience who gets his payday and has a devil and angel on the shoulder dynamic in which the good Angel reminds him of the taxes he has to pay while the other tries to get him to spend his money on random Pleasures the repeated catchphrase of the short was quote taxes to defeat the axis got a little bit of a ring to it I can't lie it seemed seems though the short alongside der fur's face was banned in Germany and presumably the other access power countries during World War II tier six Felix Saves the Day Felix the Cat this is most likely the oldest entry on our list as this Felix the Cat short released in 1922 and focused on the characters playing baseball with kids seems pretty innocent Enough by that description however many the black kids Felix plays baseball with are depicted stereotypically with big ellips this led to the episode not really being aired or released after it initially came out the short is also kind of strange because it mixes in liveaction footage of cars in New York with the handdrawn animation orphan substitute Time Squad airing in November of 2003 this episode of Time Squad revolved around a mission to stop the then President George Bush from building the big ball of twine for some reason with the mission taking place in 2002 it was believed for some time that the episode would never properly air thanks to the 911 disaster and the fact that it involved President George W bush however when the show was cancelled in 2003 Cartoon Network decided to finally air the episode as there weren't any new ones to drop popy allaha mode Popeye again this is another cartoon a Popeye short which was criticized for its racist depictions of Island natives which are shown to be cannibals with a stereotypical design reminiscent of blackface the short has not been broadcast on TV for decades because of this controversy and it's still not available on streaming platforms although it was released as part of a home media release for a collection of 1940s Popeye the Sailor shorts popey's papy Popeye popey's papy is another Infamous short which is actually a color remake of goonland from 1938 shout out to my gooners out there by the way nice title for this one although this version is less liked due to it replacing the goons of goon island with stereotyped black characters who now serve as the shorts antagonists the Africans in the short are again shown to be cannibals with their King being poop deck papy sea and red white and blue Popeye this is another American propaganda short from from 1943 featuring Bluto who is trying to escape the war draft only to end up having to serve with popey with them having to deal with Imperial Japanese spies disguising as babies as well as Emperor shawa also known as hero hito and Hitler himself due to it being a propaganda piece made during World War II it doesn't exactly portray Japanese people in the best Delight using quite a bit of racial stereotyping which is why you won't find this short on the air anymore and is in fact rather hard to to come by the Barnyard battle Mickey Mouse here is an old Mickey Mouse sound cartoon released on June 2nd 1929 despite featuring a war and combat sequences this one isn't actually a propaganda film at least I don't think so as it predates the second world war and likely isn't even meant to be depicting the first world war although this is still up for debate rather it just shows mice fighting against cats to the 1859 song Dixie Land a song was popular among the Confederate soldiers of the American Civil War which might be the conflict that's being referenced here although it's really unclear the reason it was banned Andor censored was allegedly not really because of any of the war stuff but because of the physical examination scene which was deemed too disturbing as it depicts the recruiter pulling down Mickey's pants and inspecting him he also pulls out his tongue his heart and almost rips his head off all in comedic fashion but still the island fling Popeye another Popeye short this one was removed for an offensive depiction basically the reason for all the ones we've covered on this list so far at least when it comes to Popeye shorts that basically seems to be the main one but this short the island fling was basically a cartoon parody released in 1946 sterzing the 1719 novel Robinson cruso the namesake of which appears in the episode alongside His companion Friday who stereotypically depicted with the big lips and black skin in similar to the characters featured in popey allaha mode and popey's papy the Mad Doctor Mickey Mouse and lastly we have the Mad Doctor an Infamous Mickey Mouse animated short from 1933 which features a mad scientist character who kidnaps Pluto as he wants to fuse him with a chicken Mickey tries to save his dog but ends up captured himself and is strapped to a table where he is about to be sawed in half by these scientist before Mickey wakes up and realizes it's all a nightmare the short ended up being banned in Germany and the UK and was often skipped over in certain theaters in America due to the film being considered too scary for kids and that about does it for this Iceberg let me know if you've seen any of these baned episodes or if there are any you know of that weren't included on this list anyway it's been me Source Brew thank you all so much for watching as always and I'll catch you next next time take care [Music]
