right chaps this is going to be a nice short video explaining the in limbo event chain this is one of the best designed event chains inside the game at the moment now of course there are a few problems due its ending and the fact that it really could be continued but otherwise I really enjoy this one a big thanks to yonas or Jonas who found this event chain in game and brought it to my attention via a message over YouTube I've I've never really been contacted in that way before but hey thank you very much so this is not a large event Chain by any measure however it has the potential to have a big impact in your game the event begins with an event called in limbo in which your sship stumbles across an interesting find it is a facility that appears to house the uploaded brains of a civilization that existed eons ago and has long since died out however these guys have successfully uploaded themselves to a machine for you to discover you can leave the data alone which is fine but this won't give you the best rewards for the event a scientist who discovered these data banks will think that there is a chance to resurrect this dead Empire using some of your own droids now it is important to point out if you don't have Droids then wait till you have at least researched them and built one Droid before you attempt this event change just leave it sitting in your situation L otherwise you just won't get to experience the wonderful joy that is the in limbo event chain so you have three choices if you want to resurrect the dead you can either resurrect these guys and let them join your Empire this will grant you free robot PPS which will settle on one of your planets inside your Empire you can also let them join but settle elsewhere which will see them colonize a planet in your borders and spawn free robots on it alternatively and the best option is to spawn an entirely new Empire you can resurrect them and send them on their way into the G Galaxy this will see a new Empire called the awoken set up nearby in space this is a Droid Empire that has nothing to do with the AI endgame crisis an independent Empire of dead aliens now in the control of synthetic bodies what could possibly go wrong well actually the answer is nothing could go wrong these guys will be a small Empire that are likely to be friendly to you and due to their late start in the game they're generally crippled when it comes to expanding the AI also struggles to know what to do with an Empire consisting of only droids this is sadly where the event chain ends however they will continue to live in your Galaxy as a standard Empire even though they are a large disadvantage now this next bit is just speculation here but I feel that this might be related to the volor these guys were a precursor race who had an interesting end which I won't completely spoil as it can be for another video basically most of these guys were absolutely paranoid and committed Mass suicide so my guess is that a few of them might have attempted to upload themselves into a machine just in case and come back as the awoken the link of to being trapped in a machine just seems rather obvious to me and you will of course understand this if you've been through the event chain yourself of course this could all be wrong and I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments thank you all for watching today's short video I hope you guys have an amazing day a huge thanks to my new patrons who have now paid for the controller which I'm using to get these wonderful cinematic shots in other news there is an event happening at Paradox HQ at the moment it is a Stellaris cinematic competition the rules are simple make a short one minute cinematic and the winner gets a GTX 1080 and a Blog plushy these are some great prizes so I urge as many of you as possible to give it a go the deadline is in August so get working anyway see you guys in the next one [Music] n
