Why do you need 2 second 0-60? To retrieve papers stuck in the center console of course!
They need to fix this yoke problem (adding physical buttons and an actual horn) by the time the cyber truck comes out
Edit: lots of the comments who say their design of the yolk is fine seem to have have forgotten that these tesla models go for over 130k. Imagine driving a car that goes for almost 150k, where the windshield wipers or the turn signal randomly turns on every time to turn the steering wheel.
You pay that much for a car to have that headache? Hell to the nah
I haven't driven a Plaid, but I tend to agree with physical buttons on the steering wheel to make it easier to find and press without accidentally doing it but also easier to feel for without taking eyes off the road.
Worst offense of the Yoke is that it permanently blocks the bottom left of the screen. Others have said that they canโt see the bottom button or two at all without leaning around the wheel.
That to me screams that this was not in the same development path as the screen.
Edit: this also discredits their argument that the yoke design is so you can see the instrument cluster. They did that, but then made it so damn wide you canโt see ~5-10% of the main screen? Makes senseโฆ
For those wanting a summary of his take of the yoke:
The yoke/stalk situation is so unfortunate. Had they made this optional this wouldโve been a near perfect refresh. Really hope they donโt force this on the CT too
Not that I can afford one, but the lack of stalks to use indicators would be the deal breaker for me.
In the UK its common to quickly switch from indicating right to indicating left while going round a roundabout... and the stalk is always in the same place to make that very straightforward.
Not so much if there's buttons on a wheel that will always be in a different place!
The whole yoke and no stalk was a huge mistake by Tesla imo, they have to not do the same to the cybertruck
