For having 24GBs of RAM and a new Nvidia CPU and GPU, the software is surprisingly laggy and unresponsive.

His final question is interesting. He sets it up by saying this is like the anti-Tesla. Teslas have minimalist interiors, lack QC and fit and finish, but have great software. This car has the amazing Mercedes interior of super high quality and every luxury feature, but has some slow, ugly software.

Which is more important and who catches up to the other first?

Personally, I don't see Tesla getting better at quality. They just don't care to. Its all about scaling. They'd have to sacrifice growth to focus on quality.

But at the same time Mercedes and the other big manufacturers don't seem to care about software usability. So who knows.

The literal Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 integrated into the rear armrest is sort of... absurd... I echo his comments. Could Mercedes not find a more updated tablet, or at least modify it so it appeared proprietary??

This is probably the best look at the EQS exterior so far, as well as the most in-depth look at the interior we've seen so far, which is nice.

• The thing with the mirror adjustment is insaaane. Can't see any reason that won't become a standard feature across the lineup as DMS becomes more prevalent, which is nice.
• Multiple bluetooth connections for each seat is again incredible. Same with the seat-specific voice commands. I don't think we've seen it to this detail until now.
