know it's labor day weekend but it's also the kickoff of our church anniversary celebration season 37 years on a labor day weekend our apostle took the leap of faith the step of faith to do what others could not do would not do but trust in the word of god that when he answered the call that god gave him to have a faith teaching church to teach the word of god line them online precept on precept they said in 30 days we would be closed then they said 60 days then they said 90 days here we are 37 years later to god be the glory so i just need somebody to rejoice this morning and give god a praise this morning for the faithfulness of god for the goodness of our god i'm just looking for a few thankful people that are grateful for the obedience of our apostle your obedience it has to be the 23 that trusted the word of the lord and here we are today and there's much more to come to god be the glory can you just lift up a shout of praise this morning thank god for what he's already done thank god for what he's doing right now but then i need you to put a praise in the atmosphere that thanks god in advance that we've got to thank you in advance for what's to come because there's much more to come for new life the best is yet to come there's much more that god wants to do in and through our lives and i'm going to praise him in advance because i know it's already done i'm going to raise him in advance because i know the angels are already working on our assignment coming to past i'm gonna give him praise in advance because guess what the future looks far better than what it's meant and you gotta have that in your sphere this morning that my future looks better than what it has been what happened yesterday is yesterday but he is the same god yesterday today and forevermore so i can rejoice in advance because what's to come is far greater than what has been and if you believe that can you lift up a shot in this place this is the day that the lord has made we will rejoice and be glad in it i'm so excited to be in worship this morning excited that you're here excited for those of you who are in our virtual sanctuary and i need you to do me a favor this we have been blessed all year long instead of just having one revival at the beginning of the year we have these scheduled revival nights where we expect god to shift our lives take our lives to the next level we started in january with uh bishop mckissick then we had i think it was may with uh pastor ypj and then of course my big brother bishop william murphy will be our speaker for this revival edition of reviving the identity of the body of christ and i am looking forward to that knowing who you are and whose you are is an amazing thing so we want you to come out and be a part of that and make plans a september 22nd at 7 00 p.m amen can you do me a favor can you put your hands together and uh just celebrate our apostle and pastor be this morning [Music] we bless god for them so grateful for them of course we're in a we've taken the month of september to step into a season of consecrated prayer for generations uh last week we were praying for baby boomers this week we're gonna launch another generation group that we're gonna be praying for and i'm asking that you take time you can join dr laura every morning at 7 00 am for prayer but also we'll give you the prayer guide each week i think they'll post it on and then of course we are praying for those who were uh affected and impacted by hurricane ida i know from time to time some because louisiana is so close to us some of our members you may have been caring for some of your family or your family is staying with you from louisiana if that's the case we always just like to know what's going on and so i want to encourage you to call membership membership services this week and let them know if you have family from louisiana that have had to like train have to you know you had to lodge them and care for them during this season uh we are connecting with churches in the area we've already made our first donation to church in the area i think pastor moses is the pastor i'm not sure of the church name but we've already sent funds to them to help them recover and so while we're praying for those we're also know your church is actively involved in making a difference in the lives of others and then of course we'll be doing some things with the mayor this week to send supplies and goods to those who've been impacted by hurricane item the louisiana area and so know that your church is making the impact we're not just sitting back on the sideline but we are a church that cares about reaching everyone and when others are impacted we step up and we make a difference in the lives of many and so can you give yourselves a big handclap for being a part of that group to make a difference in the lives of others new light it's offering time in the house of the lord you know as i just stated we are always doing things to make impact and so we remain faithful in our ties and offerings and of course we set funds to uh make sure that that church gets back and there's there are more things that we're going to be doing we've taught we're talking with the pastors in new jersey because we know if we just like pastors partnered with us when we would needed hurricane relief we want to partner with other churches to make sure that we're making an impact on the families and the churches that are there in those community communities in those areas we closed august strong i have not got the final numbers but i want to thank you for doing your part in making up the shortfall of june and july and remember it was a two-month plan that we had that we would do so an extra seed in the month of august and september because we needed an extra 150 000 each month and so i want you to do your part let's remain faithful in our ties and our offerings but also i want you to start now with your extra summer recovery seed for this month you know we had several levels some did a thousand dollars some did 500 some did 150 some did 52 but let's all do our part and if everybody would stretch to at least do the 150 we can make up that shortfall from june and july and close september strong and we give because that's what god he requests of us but it's also how we tap into god's financial plan for our lives because what you make happen for the kingdom of god god will make happen for you you don't get here to 37 years without people faithfully supporting the kingdom of god and faith being faithful to give their tithes and offerings and there's much more for us to do and so that requires another level of faithfulness and can we just pause and thank god for the faithfulness of those who have contributed to the vision with their regular tithes and offerings over and above seed and in this season god is required we just completed that series he's requiring much more of us and so i want you to stretch that you're going to not only just expect much more from god but god can count on you to do much more so you're going to do much more in your ties you're going to do much more in your offering as you sow towards our founders compensation or our weekly debt freedom seat or our media ministry let's all do our part but most importantly too i want to make sure that by the time we close out september we we hit our goal for august but i want to hit our goal i declare we will hit our goal and exceed our goal for september because new life we always rise to the occasion in every season and every situation so remember that's our summer recovery seed you'll put your extra 150 i'm gonna give another thousand dollars this month because i am committed just like i'm asking you to do your part i'm doing my part and i'm expecting some things to turn around in my own personal life i'm expecting to recover in some areas in my own life so if i help the kingdom of god recover i know god's confession together because we believe in the power of confessing god's word over our lives the bible says death and life is in the power of your tongue and so after we sow we want to declare our faith declare where we are declare increase over every area of our lives let's pray father we thank you right now for this privilege and opportunity to sow into your kingdom and so father we thank you for every tithe for the windows of heaven blessing and doors of opportunity father for those who give towards our founders compensation we release our faith with them for your best in every area of their lives and so father we thank you right now for the max return on every siege so we declare abundance for the kingdom of god we declare abundance for this ministry we call every need met father we thank you that our goal of 150 150 000 over and above is already met and already done so father we thank you in advance father your word says that you give seed to the sower and so father we so rejoice in because we know favor shall abound to us we know increase is our portion and so father we declare abundance for the kingdom of god abundance for your people we call every knee men over and two three we are new life a faith teaching church a favorite filled church a praying church we are new light a family church a caring church a mission-minded church we are new life giving church we give cheerfully to support our church's vision we give because god is a source and sustainer of our lives we give our debt free seed decree debt relief debt resourcefulness and debt reduction favor increase blessings and doors of opportunity our covenant righteous givers this is our year of big manifestations as we step into our best life in jesus name amen can you rejoice over your seed souls [Music] minister melissa is going to come and we're so blessed to have our praise team lead us in worship but for the next few moments i want you to focus on worshiping god how many you need to hear a word from god this morning how many want to hear what god has to say to you in this season we we've got four months left of 2021 and i declare that we'll finish it strong go into 2022 but i want you to take a moment for the next few moments and worship god there's something powerful that happens when we have corporate worship but when you take a moment to individually worship god god goes to work on your situation and your circumstance and then when we're all worshiping together there's a supernatural power that manifests there's an acceleration to the promises of god that takes place in our lives and so for the next few moments i don't want you to be distracted by anything but i want you to give that attention to god i want you to worship him exalt him adore him thank him for who he is and then we'll go into the word for this morning that i know it's gonna bless your life i give you minister melissa wonderful jesus just open up your mouth and worship the lord come on and raise your morning honey believing for something big in this season i don't know about you but i'm glad i'm living in something that two people believe that manifested god said that he would make the name great god said that he would do much more in their lives god said that if he would just teach the word that he would bring men and women to this church we are living in the manifestation of believing the report of the lord no matter what it looks like and if that doesn't encourage your faith this morning i don't know what else will encourage your faith but if you can just look around from termite city to where we are now if you believe it it shall happen so can you just put some faith in the atmosphere and whatever you're believing for i need your faith to rise in this moment to understand if he said it if he's spoken it's done i know it's bigger than you i know it looks impossible but if you could just trust the word of the lord this morning that if he said it he's going to do just that he said he's a healer he will do that he said that he's a deliverer he will do that he said he'll make your name great he'll do that he said he'd give you houses that you didn't feel he'll do just that he said that he'll open up doors that no man can close he will do that and he said it i believe it can you just lift that up [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] is [Music] [Applause] god [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] you said [Music] [Applause] god [Applause] [Music] it's a finish work you know the end from the beginning it's already a finished work i don't have to cry no more i don't have to worry no more i don't have to limit fear anymore because [Music] father we thank you for your word this morning thank you for your word that it is the truth that we live by [Music] thank you for all that you've done over the years but father we are grateful that you have much more in store for us not just as a church but you have much more for our families much more in our relationships much more in our health much more in our businesses and so father we trust your word so father we thank you for all that you've already done but father we trust your word to carry out the instructions that you have for us in this season we trust you to believe bigger than we believed before we trust you that we know that nothing is too hard for you and so father we praise you in advance because we know it's already done that even in this moment healing is manifesting that cancer has to go in this atmosphere of faith tumors have to shrink pain has to go and father you said it that we are the healed you said it that we are your children and so father we believe your report father we thank you for the word this morning that the word will minister to our hearts our lives will never ever be the same after hearing your word and god as your vessel as your mouthpiece i decrease so that you may increase holy spirit speak through my lips and think through my mind give me clear articulation of speech clarity of thought so that i may open my mouth boldly to make known your word let your anointing flow freely in this place holy spirit have your way and as your word goes forth let it shift us to another place of expectation shift us to another level of believing but god most importantly let it shift us to another place where we will boldly act upon your world should god be glorified in and through our lives we give you praise in advance for all that shall be accomplished and revealed in jesus name amen can i get you to lift up one more good shout of praise in this place [Music] i need you to know it's already done why don't you look at somebody and just don't get too close you still social distance but say it's already done and then you may be seated in the presence of our god i know you gave them a handclap earlier but can you honor our apostle and pastor b one more time [Music] when living by faith wasn't popular they believed when it wasn't popular to be a church of integrity and do things as a couple they believed and we are grateful for their faith we are grateful for their commitment we're grateful for their faithfulness because our lives are the better and so can you applaud them one more time get your bibles out and turn to ephesians chapter 2. we're going to get into the word this morning i'm excited about our new series for the month of september and uh if you can see it on the screen i want you to shout out i make the difference i i heard somebody say it with the way i wanted it said i make the difference i need somebody to say that one more time i make the difference i need you to say it like you believe in yourself i make the difference come on i'm starting to say i make the difference and i know normally when we start a new series i give you the foundational passage at the beginning and uh but due to the magnitude of this title i wanted you to hear yourself saying it first and then we're going to build you up in faith shout out i make the difference the bible is filled with scriptures that reference our participation in impacting our world go over to ephesians chapter 2 because in ephesians chapter 2 you're gonna see that it is you have to do something you have to you have a role to play god is great and god is sovereign but he needs our participation and you make the difference ephesians 2 10 says for we are god's own handiwork his workmanship recreated in christ jesus born anew that we may do those good works which god predestined planned beforehand for us taking paths which he prepared ahead of time that we should walk in them living the good life which he pre-arranged and made ready for us to live the scripture says that we may do those good works go over to matthew chapter 5 and since we be the light we i live out this scripture matthew 5 16 it says in the amplified let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy noble and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your father who is in heaven let your light so shine before men say i make the difference you know this is kind of an in your face statement and uh it's not meant to be arrogant but it's really meant it's a declaration of hope because the scripture teaches us that we are the catalyst for things happening in our lives you know a catalyst jump starts something a catalyst kicks something off a catalyst is important in an audible milk bill moving forward you are the catalyst for things happening in your life and this whole lesson series is designed to reveal to each of us that we have been set by god in a specific family in a specific generation in this church for his purpose and his glory i keep saying it because it it it does require something to be said of a church that started in 1984 that today marks the 37th year anniversary of new life church world outreach and worship centers i know we go by the light but every now and then you got to put the official name out which by far has been an incredible amazing accomplishment in our times and to god be the glory can we just say i'm gonna do a reverend hilliard this morning put the picture up put the picture up uh you know we got termite city okay but then we moved over to jensen i i know they were waiting on but you got jensen and then you got termite city they're trying to find a picture i'ma let them find a picture why they finding the picture because they were supposed to have those pictures okay that's jensen wrote right there i remember jensen i remember the glory cloud and jensen i i remember uh jensen i remember termite city vaguely but i remember jensen but it was there that uh even at termite city but apostle back then reverend hillary stood up it was there i make a difference attitude that he had that my mother had and the 23 that stayed that catapulted our ministry from jensen road to a global worldwide wide ministry and how do you go from jensen road put the picture back up i get to do rev this one put the picture back up jensen road to put the building collage up look what the lord has done y'all giving a little pity pat hand clap and i know i'm on my time but can you really celebrate what the lord has done [Music] [Applause] but here is what i know i know it was not a passive attitude about the things of god but it was i make the difference attitude that they had that got us from there to where we are today and it's that same attitude that's necessary to make a model ministry for this generation for us to go to the next level and do all that god has called us to do shout out i make the difference my assignment this morning is real simple i want to allow the holy spirit to use me to help cultivate this i make a difference mentality in your life yes you make the difference in your church you and i make the difference and things are about to change for your life for our church to the glory of god but you got to get a little swag about it and say i make the difference because you make the difference you set into motion positive change in your home in your community in your career in your church if you want something different you got to see i make the difference i'm not negating god's act because there's this sovereign partnership perspective that we have to have because we cannot do it without god but you are important your participation is necessary and the first thing for you to know that you make the difference i've got to correct some religious error that you've been holding on to because see you've got to understand god's point of view about how things work in the in the earth realm how things move in the earth realm because there's this erroneous thinking about god's involvement the bible says clearly that you do air not knowing the scripture nor the power of god so for a few moments let me break down some erroneous religious thinking that you have because the first thing that we hold on to that is not true is that god his will is automatic see it's clearly noted that most christians erroneously believe that the will of god will automatically come to pass because again he's all-powerful and he's all-knowing and it sounds good but scripture does not bear to that account it is the will of god for all of us to be saved and if the will of god was automatic all would be saved but the truth is that all will not be saved because they will not do what is required to receive the salvation that's freely given and god wants us all to be saved but everybody won't do it because remember the promises of god are received by faith so for god to manifest the covenant promises he must partner with a believer who will invite his intervention in every situation that's why the bible says in galatians 3 13 that we might receive the promise of the spirit through faith so that lets me know that all the promises of god though revealed in the word of god are received by faith so you can't just sit back and say god is going to just his will is automatic no no no he needs your participation your faith is a part of this number two the erroneous religious thinking that we have to uproot is that god does whatever he wants to do and throughout the scripture we can see how god seems to wait to be invited into earth's affairs that's because god gave dominion of the earth to man and adam lost his dominion rights when he sinned but jesus came back to restore all the authority and dominion status back to the redeemed man and though god is all-powerful he does need man's permission and participation to get involved in earth's affairs you've got to see this in ezekiel 22 because in ezekiel 22 verse 30 it says and i sought for men among them that should make up the hedge and stand in the gap before me for the land that i should not destroy it but i found none so that lets me know that it is clear that god did not want to follow through with the judgment that was due so god yes our god was in need of human intercession to have a justifiable reason to waive the judgment but since he could not find an intercessor he had to do something he expressly did not want to do that's why you can't take this 30 days of praying for every generation lightly i need this church interceding because when we intercede it gets god involved and this is a revolutionary truth that if god is just going to do whatever he wants to do why should we even pray if it really doesn't matter and he says when you pray i go to work so if i'm going to uproot some things then i got to be establishing some things so we just pull some things out because we don't want it to stop us from getting to the place where god has us but let's establish the truth about god's intervention because god responds to man's invitation and unless it is a providential matter that god has established before time he waits to be invited into earth's affairs see the common denominator in the god intervention moments is man's invitation and oftentimes his participation through various means so let's talk about how god intervenes god intervenes in response to man's prayers we understand that god requests to be called upon and he makes the commitment to answer and get involved that's why jeremiah 33 3 says call unto me and i will answer thee and show thee great and mighty things which thou know is not the common denominator that you can see all throughout the scripture is that god we have to make a request to god so in essence the catalyst in the prayer mall is the prayer moment where a person chooses to make the difference by petitioning for divine assistance see you make the difference when you pray you make the difference when you pray when you pray that is the catalyst that prayer moment is the catalyst to god getting involved in the situation number two god intervenes in response to man's faith and so when you go through the bible you see that when people came to jesus he would condition their results or commend them on the results that they received for their faith on their faith so the very teaching on faith reveals that god responds to the faith process remember mark 11 22 23 24 it says and jesus answered and saying unto them have faith in god for verily i say unto you that whosoever shall say unto this mountain be thou removed be thou cast into the sea and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things which he said shall come to pass he shall have whatsoever he's said therefore i say unto you what things soever ye desire when you pray believe that you receive them and ye shall have them it is your faith that makes the difference that's why he said according to your faith being unto you the woman with the issue of blood she invited divine power into her situation with her touch of his garment she kept saying if i could just touch the hymn of his garment i know i'll be made whole jesus says to the lepers faith that their faith was the catalyst for their breakthrough he says arise go thy way thy faith has made thee whole so god intervenes in response to man's prayers god intervenes in response to man's faith god intervenes in response to man's faithfulness see faith and faithfulness are two different things because see a person what a person does you got to see that when a person is faithful that moves god to get involved see when we're faithful in our serving and in our giving god promises to respond so our faith is that action that we take that trust in the word of god but the bible says over matthew 25 it talks about you got to he you know the man gave the talents out to the various individuals and one just held on to it and he says thou has been faithful over a few things i will make the ruler over many things it was the faithfulness that made the difference and when it comes to our giving and how we give in the kingdom of god it is crystal clear that god will respond rewarding the faithfulness of giving go over the second corinthians i know you read this all the time but i want you i want to pull something out of this because the catalyst again is what an individual chooses to do on a consistent basis what you choose to do on a consistent basis because faithfulness is consistent obedience without wavering our consistent obedience which defines our faithfulness moves the hand of god that means that man is the difference maker when he or she chooses to partner with god for kingdom success and the bible says in second corinthians 9 7 every man according has he purposed in his heart so let him give not gradually or necessity for god loving a cheerful giver and god is able to make all grace abound toward you so your faithfulness and giving your faithfulness and service makes the difference i make the difference i just need somebody to shout that out and declare my faith i make the difference i make the difference with my prayers i make the difference with my faith i make the difference with my faithfulness so that lets me know that the significance there has to be i have to see the significance of personal participation but see if you're not careful you will roll off the participation on somebody else but you've got to understand your importance and the value of your part that's why i said i make the difference because i've got a part to play in the plan of god coming to pass and the reality of scripture reveals that you are the one who will make your way prosperous and have good success i need you to go over to joshua 1. y'all know this is one of the apostles favorite scripture but you've got to see that it's not what other people are doing you are the one that will make your way prosperous and you will have good success i'm not negating god's involvement but remember he's waiting on your actions so he responds to your faith he responds to your prayers he responds to your faithfulness so you make the difference joshua 1 8 says only be thou strong and very courageous that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law which moses my servant commandeth thee turn not from it to the right hand or to the left that thou mayest prosper whethers whoever thou goes this book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth but thou shalt meditate therein day and night that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous and then thou shalt have good success this means that you have the potential to make the difference in the outcome of your situation so with boldness you can say i make the difference i i think i got a couple people who picked up i make the difference because i'll make my way prosperous if i stay locked into doing what god says to do but see what happens there is this subtle devastation of passive christianity so if you're not careful you'll become have this victim mentality conditioning that's broad spread and it really is you get so comfortable blaming others for your lack of personal progress and so instead of being a passionate christian you more so lean to the side of passive christianity because you start thinking when it comes to kingdom matters that it's somebody else's role and not yours and so instead of being passionate about what god called you to do you take the more lesser approach and have a passive christianity where you know what passive christianity is it's about being saved by the grace of god loving jesus but leaving the work of the kingdom to somebody else that even though you know it was his blood that saved you and delivered you and forget he's been forgiven of your sin you love jesus but you don't want to do the work so because there are too many passive christians in the rank our ranks are depleted because passive christianity sees insignificance instead of understanding you're according to the work of the lord see believe it or not passive christianity really doesn't believe that their part is significant and when asked to participate or partner in the kingdom of god they are the first to point out their deficits and insufficiencies and so the ranks of the faithful are being depleted because of the need for others to step forward to take their rightful place because there's too many people thinking they're insignificant when you're the one that god wants to use see if you go through the bible it's the order of god to partner with those who have the insignificant complex that even when you think you're not worthy you're the prime candidate for him to use so he gets the glory moses felt insignificant by his speech but yet god used him abraham felt insignificant and yet god used him gideon felt insignificant by being the lowest in the family but but yet god used him elijah felt insignificant and yet god used him jeremiah felt insignificant because of his age but yet god used him esther felt insignificant and yet god used her mary felt insignificant but yet god used her i'm glad god uses insignificant things because when i read in the word i look and i find out that god selects seemingly insignificant partners so that there's a total dependence on him and the results will be credited to god alone you got to see this first corinthians 1 27 because i know sometimes you scratch your head and you say how did god why is god using them they don't have the degree they don't have the eloquence piece they don't have this you got to understand how god selects the ones he used he's just looking for somebody who says lord i'm available to you i'm going to be passionate with all that i have and you can take this insignificant stuff and do something grand with it the bible says in first corinthians 1 27 no for god selected he deliberately chose what in the world is foolish to put the wise to shame what the world calls weak to put the strongest shame and god also selected he deliberately chose what in the world is lowborn and insignificant and branded and treated with contempt even the things that are nothing that he might depose and bring to nothing the things that are so that no mortal man should have pretense for glory and boasts in the presence of god he likes to take the ones that others discount and put to the side and he makes sense man is so significant to the plan of god that you can't hold on to your insignificant or your insufficiencies but you've got to understand that god will use that very thing to bless the lives of others and man is so significant to the plan of god that god is always looking for those of integrity because it doesn't take out your integrity but your integrity to be sold out to him that he can partner with you for kingdom success and reciprocal blessings and we are always under attack with insignificant thoughts from the devil so we can sabotage god's plan for our lives and others but you got to know i make the difference if he can use a boy from the ghettos of fifth ward to do all this he can surely use you i make the difference if he can use a single mom to be a pastor of a mega church surely he can use you i make the difference our ranks are diminished because passive christianity makes excuses see if you are not careful passive people are quick to fabricate excuses to avoid making a commitment to make the difference in kingdom endeavors and to make the difference whether in the kingdom of god or in a life situation you must be willing to eliminate all excuses for remaining in your present state you got to get beyond your excuses because excuses are crutches of the uncommitted they're smoke screens of the deceit jesus wants us to get beyond our excuses for lack of pursuit of god's best and just because your excuse is just beyond your excuse just beyond your excuse is the move of god you need to accomplish your goals see beyond moses's excuse was the move of god for extraordinary things beyond gideon's excuse was the move of god for extraordinary things beyond abraham's excuse was the move of god for extraordinary things beyond the lame man's excuse was the move of god for extraordinary things beyond the disciples excuse was the move of god for extraordinary things i'm so glad our apostle and pastor be did not use the excuse that the others didn't go with them and revert back because beyond every excuse is the extraordinary thing three our ranks are dwindled because passive christianity thinks exemption see we often try to find ways to exempt us from doing our part see the mighty ranks of the kingdom committed will dwindle if passive christianity keeps thinking that you are exempt from kingdom service see though giving is significant it's a significant part of the covenant partnership we have with god it does not exempt you from being used of god to make the difference in some kingdom situation see a lot of people want to say well i'm tithing so i don't need to serve an excellence team i'm tired and i gave my offering but there's much more because when you look at it he does not exempt us from our role because there is no age exemption in the kingdom of god moses was 80 caleb was 84. jeremiah was around 13 16 years of age there's no age exemption in the kingdom of god there's no gender exemption in the kingdom of god with god there's neither male or female so stop using who you are that what god made you to be as an exemption there's no gender exemption there's no age exemption there's no tithing exemption some people think their offerings give them a pass they don't give you a pass i knew y'all weren't gonna say amen on that but what is this demand that god makes on us because i make the difference shall i make the difference when you look in the bible you see the scriptural demand for participating a participatory commitment you don't have to look far or look long in the scripture before you run into the mandate for individual involvement and commitment in the immediate plan of god see the prophets had this participatory mandate through the uh the prophecy the prophets talked about it go over to jeremiah 7 so you can see this because i want you to listen to the voice of jeremiah jeremiah says in jeremiah 7 23 but this thing commanded i them saying obey my voice and i will be your god and you shall be my people and walk ye in all the ways walk in all the ways that i have commanded you that it may be well unto you but they they hearken not nor inclined their ear but walked in the councils and in the imagination of their evil heart and went backward and not forward see you gotta trust that god has a better plan for your life and get involved so you can keep moving forward there's a participatory mandate that's given to us through jesus that he lets us know that there's this need for partnership all throughout the messages of jesus because it will be you and me who will make the difference in times of ministry see he can't work without a vessel to work through i want you to get that he can't work without a vessel to work through that's why in matthew 5 16 it says let your light shine before men over in john 15 16 it says you have not chosen me but i have chosen you and ordained you that you should go and bring forth fruit and that your fruit should remain that whatsoever you shall ask of the father in my name he may given you so we see this participatory mandate through the prophets we see it through jesus and we also see it through the apostles the apostles echoed the kingdom call to all they came in contact with paul writes to the church committing them to get involved in the work of god without fail that's why romans 12 1 says i beseech you therefore brethren by the mercies of god that you present your bodies a living sacrifice holy acceptable unto god which is your reasonable service and be not conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of god so when i go through in the new testament i see writings about us participating in the kingdom plan of god i make the difference you make the difference because when i go through i see this documented partnership consideration from the old testament to the new testament and the bible says that these are examples are there for our learning so we see god works in partnership with moses the fugitive and we marvel how god was able to accomplish so much through moses in bringing deliverance to the people of god see he went to confront pharaoh and he led the 2 million israelites through the wilderness you can expect god to work through you in amazing ways if he did it for moses he'll do it for you i make the difference i need somebody to declare that with me this morning i make the difference then we go over and we see that god used a female judge by the name of deborah don't you think that your gender eliminates you but we marvel when we read the list of all the anointed judges of israel who led the nation and there was a female listed among the bunch it proves that it has always been the plan of god to use female voices in leadership deborah was a judge in israel with amazing victories and battles comparable to gideon sampson and others so please the women of god that you know god has a purpose and plan for your life do not discount what your partnership with god can produce because i make the difference i just need somebody to shout that out i make the difference i need you to declare it by faith i make the difference god works in partnership with david he's a team shepherd we know the story everybody's scared of goliath but he shows up on the battlefield he kills goliath he trains and leads armies to victory he reigns as a righteous king in israel this proves that young people you don't have to wait till you get older to partner with god but you can partner with god in the here and now and watch god work in your life i make the difference i need somebody to declare that this morning i make the difference so glad our apostles said yes at a young age at nine years old preached his first sermon at 10 if god could do it for our apostle surely he can do it in your young life i make the difference i know we got our young people in here today but we also see the virgin teenager that god used in bethlehem he god works in partnership with mary she's a virgin she's in bethlehem and we marvel at the willing partnership that she has with god that as a young virgin teenager uh bethlehem from bethlehem she partners with god to give birth to the son of god and what we see in her life is she models for us how to give birth to a prophetic word that in essence her partnership made the difference in a vital part of all of our salvation i need you to declare by faith i make the difference don't you and use lord you allow anything to exempt you from doing your part because you make the difference and there's a supernatural potential of partnership that's their supernatural power and potential that's linked to your partnership see what i want to close out with today is you understanding the incredible possibilities of your partnership with god that he will work through us to do great things i already told you i'm believing for a supernatural september i'm believing for that supernatural the intervention of god into earth's affairs that is not always spectacular but it is considered supernatural because of his divine origin and so sovereign participation defines the kingdom supernatural possibility amazing things occur when god gets involved that when god gets involved we can expect supernatural results from our partnership with god as we attack life's situation he's waiting on our involvement and invitation to get involved but when he gets involved when he gets involved that you're the catalyst but when he gets involved something supernatural happens because remember jesus is the same yesterday today and forever more so remember that young teenage virgin girl she makes a decision to partner with god and she gives her partnership uh she's given this partnership proposal with the angel and the angel tells us that she's found favor with the lord and that the holy ghost would come on her and overshadow her but i love one thing that the scripture says for with god nothing shall be impossible i don't care how big that dream is right now for with god nothing shall be impossible the amplified version says for with god nothing is ever impossible and no word from god shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment if god said it he's gonna bring it to pass and jesus goes on to raise our expectation of the supernatural results through our partnership with god so we have the right to dream big we have the right to believe big we have the right to think big we have the right to plan big we have the right to go for being when you say yes to god and you understand i'm the catalyst for the change in my life i make the difference here i am god i'm ready to serve here i am god i'm gonna be faithful here i am god praying the supernatural power shows up and the supernatural possibilities are endless the bible says in matthew 19 26 but jesus beheld them and said unto them with men this is impossible but with god all things are possible so you got to decide what kind of existence you want as a believer you got to decide what kind of existence you want to have as a believer and i'm so glad that 37 years ago there were some few believers on jensen road that decided that they wanted to live an extraordinary life that god had promised to do some things in their life that eyes had not seen and ears had not heard and trusted a young man and a young woman 23 some of them were their senior could have been their parents but they said we're gonna go with god you gotta decide i don't wanna average life in christ but i want an extraordinary life in christ and i'm just looking for some people who wanna have an extraordinary experience with god i don't care what's happening on the left side or the right side i'm going with god because i make the difference and i'm expecting something extraordinary i'm expecting something supernatural i have decided to live an exceptional life i've decided that i'm going to live the life that god talked about i'm going i've decided i'm going to live a life that with god nothing is impossible i've decided that i'm going to walk with god and see him do things that are exceeding abundantly above all that we could ever ask or think because when god gets involved all things are possible red seas don't just part in two but supernaturally they can because you can go ask moses he'll tell you i made the difference protection and uh the protection walls around jericho they didn't just pause flat but supernaturally they fell down flat you can ask joshua he said i'll tell you i made the difference he instructed the people they obeyed it supernaturally the walls fell down 300 men don't win against 132 000 but supernaturally they can't you just need to go ask get it he'll tell you i made the difference teams don't kill giants with a stone but supernaturally they can't ask david he'll tell you i made the difference he doesn't just leave the fire but supernaturally it can't access the hebrew voice they'll tell you i made the difference hungry lions don't lose their appetite but supernaturally they can you just ask daniel he'll tell you i made the difference fire doesn't just fall from heaven but supernaturally it can you just ask elijah he'll tell you i made the difference bareness doesn't just get reversed but supernaturally it can just ask hannah she'll tell you my prayers made the difference poor people don't just get rich but supernaturally they can't you just ask jabez he prayed a prayer indeed blind eyes don't just pop open but supernatural they can't you just ask blind bartimaeus the once was by the blindfolded man dead folk don't just get up out of the grave but supernaturally they can you ask lazarus he'll tell you make the difference 23 faithful people don't just build a 28 000 member church but supernaturally they can you just asked apostle and pastor b you know it was their faith and faithfulness that made the difference you don't have a name around the country where young people are saying i just got to get your spiritual encounter by chance but supernaturally it'll happen just ask dr i make a difference i'm just looking for some difference makers in the house i'm just looking for some people who don't believe at another level what are you believing for because supernaturally it can come to pass i make the difference i make the difference in my family i make the difference in my home i make the difference in my church shout out i make the difference your participation defines the kingdom supernatural possibility but it also defines your suit your kingdom's supernatural potential can we think back for a minute 300 members 277 walk off 37 years ago an apostle realized that with the 23 that their supernatural potential would make the difference uh this ought to inspire you in my closing moments to not settle would not fall backwards but you got to keep moving forward you got to hope against hope because the god factor is involved when you choose to trust the plan of god because your potential is not defined by your past many who god used in this generation they did not have attractive past but yet god worked through them to make a difference abraham was old jacob was insecure leah was unattractive joseph was abused moses stuttered gideon was poor samson was codependent rahab was immoral david had an affair and all kind of family problems elijah was suicidal jeremiah was depressed jonah was reluctant noah was a widow john the baptist was eccentric to say the least peter was impulsive and hot-headed martha worried a lot the samaritan woman had several failed marriages zacchaeus was unpopular thomas had doubts paul had poor health activity was timid what is your excuse i don't care what your past looks like you gotta hope against hope that if god can use them surely he can use you your potential is not defined by your past but it is only defined by your partnership don't you ever discount yourself and what you're capable of making happen if god could do it for them surely he can do it for you you don't have to wait for others to invoke change you are a change maker you make the difference i just need somebody to declare by faith i make a difference [Music] the bible says clearly i can do all things through christ who strengthens me my past is in the past but i understand there's a potential that's only defined by my partnership but i gotta demonstrate it with my praise you don't understand why i rejoice sometimes but when you realize who you are and you realize what's possible with god on your side you can't help but erupt in praise there's a supernatural hope that is birthed when kingdom potential is released i understand why there was so much prey on that little jensen road i understand why there was so much praise and praying at crown park drive when god blew people into that location with no sign outside it in a warehouse building but the 23 realized their potential when their praise they knew things were about to change and when you know something's about to change there ought to be a praise that erupts in yo [Music] in my closing moment reminded of a story of a father who had planned to meet his family the high school football game of his son he had to work late he told the family i'll meet you there and i promise i'll be there before the game is over during the game there was a malfunction of the scoreboard so there was no display of the score or the statistics the father arrives to the game and he says to the mother how much are we behind she asked him how did you know the team was losing because there's no score on the board and he hadn't spoken to anyone how did you know so you know so you knew you you asked with such assurance how did you know that that we were behind that that said it was easy to come to that conclusion all i had to do was look at the demeanor of the coaches and the team and you all in the stands you all have the look of defeat on your faces and it gave the state of the game away but i looked across the way at the other team and i saw their jubilation and cheering and their expectation of victory and i knew immediately who was winning when i heard the story y'all know i got the clothes to sing out i was wondering what others think when they come to the house of the lord and they look at the faces of the people of god do we look like we're more than conquerors do we look like the healed resistant sickness and disease do we look like we're the head and not the tail do we look like those who are winning do we look like the victor and not the victim and it's time this morning if you got an assurance and i understand it that i make the difference and even though it may not look like it in the natural i've changed on the inside it's time for me to have a blind bartimaeus moment because the bible says that when jesus called him to him he started rejoicing knowing what was possible after his encounter with jesus the bible says he started taking off his beggar's garments that even though others were trying to shut him up he start crying out jesus have mercy on me he start rejoicing even in that state and i have to declare like the psalmist i will bless the lord at all times his praise shall continually be in my mouth my soul shall make her post to the lord they almost shall hear their love and be glad oh not the father lord with me i think i need to say that again because i'm looking for some people who understand my praise makes a difference oh man the father lord with me i'm just looking for about a hundred of you all that's right there in your home that you will magnify the lord with me and let us exalt his name forever i'm just looking for somebody who's grateful for what he's already done but i'm looking for somebody who's going to put a praise on it in advance for what he's able to do because all things are possible to him that believe and if you're gonna praise him in advance don't you wait for me to usher you in i need you to lift up a shout right now that says i make the difference i make the difference with my prayers i make the difference with my faith i make the difference with my faithfulness you want to look at where i'm gonna be i'm gonna be found faithful you wanna find me on a sunday morning i'm not gonna be at brunch i'm gonna be in the house of the lord you wanna find me in my family ask for me at my house we shall serve the lord [Music] what will your demeanor be for the rest of this month will you let the discouragement of the former months make you miss out on the supernatural that god's gonna do i'm looking for some people who have a demeanor that i always win as pastor b would say i'm looking for some people who have the demeanor that i'm overcoming every situation i'm looking for some people who have the demeanor that i'm rich i'm prosperous i'm looking for some people who have the demeanor that my faith is working on my situation i'm looking for some people who have the demeanor that you're gonna rejoice in advance cause you know it's already done [Music] because it's your demeanor that'll let somebody know who's been searching that a life with christ makes a difference that's why some people didn't understand that when i became pastor we took our praise up because i'm gonna make the difference with my praise that what they saw it wasn't what i was seeing i was seeing every location field i was seeing people stand in line i'm seeing god put our church in new territories and new levels so yeah you don't understand why i get so excited but you don't see what i see but if i got a righteous demeanor praise it won't be long before you join in it won't be long before you start shouting cause you'll start seeing what i see and you'll start saying what's the difference with her i came to jesus just as i was [Music] that's my prayer for you today is that you will see our demeanor of joy doesn't mean we're exempt from problems but we know through every problem he will see us through but it starts out with you saying yes to the lord it's not about preaching a sermon but it's about deciding i'm gonna have a passionate life with christ that makes the difference in every situation every head bowed every i close father we just thank you for your word on today i thank you father that there's one group moving from passiveness to a place of passionate pursuit of your promises where they make the difference then there's that other group that they've been passed passive on the sidelines putting off their yes to you god let today be a day that they don't delay it any longer but they step into a right relationship with you knowing that you don't ask them to do the fixing you say come just as you are so father create in us and stir up in us a desire for more of you a desire to pray more desire to be more faithful to desire to believe again and dream bigger and think bigger so that we can see you move supernaturally in our lives so father we say yes to you again and just as the 23 believed we believe today that you will do far greater than what we've already done that you will take our church to new levels and new heights and just as the 23 have been recorded in history you will record us in the history of this church that we were the people that made the difference in our generation and generations to come so father we give you praise for it now in jesus name while every head is bowed every eye is closed i would be remissed in my duties if i didn't give you an opportunity to make that life decision that you're going to live a life that christ has set aside for you he's got so much in store for you he's got so much that he wants to do in your life but he's waiting on your yes this morning and i know we're socially distanced and we have some protocols in place but right where you are you can say yes to the lord this morning and so if you're here today and you say pastor i haven't made that decision to be saved i haven't made that decision to say yes to the lord i haven't believed in my heart nor confessed it out of my mouth that he sent his only son jesus to die just for me i want you to make that decision today because there's a whole other life available to you but it's waiting on your yes maybe you're here and you've gotta track you straight away from the things of god let today be the day of rededication so if that's you and you say pastor i want to rededicate my life to the lord on today pastor i want to be saved on today i want to say yes to the lord every head is bowed every eyes closed but i want you to be bold enough to slip your hand in the air because i'm gonna pray for you before i leave pastor i heard that word today i've been holding back on you know i've been thinking it's everybody else and why i'm not where i want to be but i see today that i gotta say yes so that that catalyst kept change can start in my life so pastor that's me whether you're watching online are you in the building i want you to just slip your hand up and say pastor i want you to pray for me pastor i want to give my life to the lord i need to rededicate my life to the lord or maybe you're here and you say i need a church that's going to build me up in faith you're in the right place if you'll slip your hand up i want to pray for you as well i see some of your hands up i see him in the balcony i see him on the main floor here is what i'm going to do first i'm going to lead you into a prayer of salvation and after i lead you into that prayer of salvation they're going to put a qr code on the screen if you're online you can
