Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
Really interesting. I don't even own a Subaru and watched the whole thing. Something was relaxing about having a master mechanic show you WHY things need to be the way they are.
Really informative vid for newbies.
Keep in mind a motor this small requires a lot less work and man-maneuvering than a big V8 for instance.
What would be great is if Mike there explained why the hell Subaru chose a 10mm allen bolt for the cam gears and torqued them down to 9000 ft/lbs so that the stripped the hell out ratio is nearly 100%. The SB is a breeze compared to 4 shitty bolts on the head.
The person behind the camera has no idea what the guy was saying about neutral balance. It was annoying, I only wanted to hear from the guy who knows what he's talking about.
great engine hp to weight seen one in a 914 porsche 'Anklebiter'
Half of the cameraman's questions were great and added to the video. The other half made me want to slap him. Dude needs to stop beating the dead horse once the mechanic answered you five times or when he basically told you he didn't know.
Lost me at "boxter" engine.
Great vid! Thanks for posting.
This guys channel has loads of great videos! If you are saying to yourself, "I want to learn about cars..."
That channel is a good place to start.
