of the three posts is a is a lead screw and uh the motors turn it does auto leveling blah blah etc in my experience though i found a bug i found a bug in reprap firmware um so project r3d took it to do oh project thanks sean no problem project r3d took that all to duet who who verified it and then they did testing and uh there's a fix so this machine is going to have the fix and so the other machine i'm sending back to project r3d so they can do some investigation but well there you go that's the story so this is actually a machine i've purchased this is not a machine sent for review like five there it is that makes sense i see what you did there oh wait this is uh a two millimeter allen so here's the steps of what need to happen next we need to get the filament sensor on right we need to get the display on yep we need to get the printer configured yep and then we need to do a test print okay ah we need to get the bed on too right yeah that's important yeah yeah that's important so these were these must have come with the previous printer and they're just kind of having you swap them out that's right gotcha auto drop 3d with two dollars two dollars two dollars two dollars thank you auto drop 3d thank you oh is that three lead screws yes yes the z um right three points make a plane and so the three lead screws on the bed plane the bed and it creates a plane it trams the bed to be perpendicular to the nozzle which you're going to assume is straight up and down so then rather than having a if because if your nozzle is tilted in any direction you're either going to be pushing or shoving or pulling filament as you're laying it down so what this level of bed tramming does is give you a perfectly perpendicular nozzle to the bed which means you're going to have the ability to do nearly perfect extrusions and that means you can print really fast at really low layer heights because if you know your extrusions are going to be perfect or as close to perfect as you can make them across the entirety of the build plate you're in a really good spot yeah it's there it's pretty close to resin layer height territory yep yep nuts it's crazy pants hey look at david with can't do because there's no touch screen you can do the menu because there's an enter button back there there's a joystick back there there's a joystick oh there is a joystick look at that i'm sorry you have any suggestions on resin 3d printers let's see uh i'm right now rocking a purpley noir yes a phenom noir uh it's it's a really large resin-based 3d printer kind of expensive but it does make really large resin things there's um any cubic right now has the mono x the mono se and the mono but all three are pretty pretty good price for what they are and i i've seen a lot of really good quality out of these machines great quality for if you're doing miniatures or busts or stuff like that yeah yeah jewelry great great for that um prusa also has the prusa sl1 it's a little bit expensive for the area you get but it has a lot of advanced features and i've had a lot of really good quality out of that as well yep there you oh go now i'm gonna have to look and see if that video works but don't touch the resin that's correct make sure you follow safety precautions when handling resin always wear gloves look at that it followed my face so we uh we can't make the the screen bigger in the corner guys sorry about that it's not something we can do on the fly we have to do it before we go live just step away we need to get that fixed we do print speed on well you have to do it before you go live every single time because every time you turn this thing off it resets back to the regular size oh it does yeah so every time every time you go live or turn it back on you have to okay uploading the video now i don't know if i filmed it in hdr mode or not so we'll find out yeah geez uh what speed is this at do we know uh project r3d is going to be able to tell you it's pre-sliced g-code so i don't know i don't know the answer for sure but okay i want to say it's between it's between 1600 millimeters a second obviously that's going to be on the straightaways and it's going to have to it's got rules for acceleration but it's it's generally pretty quick andrew rogers 9.99 are you out of your mind want to move up in size from 93. i've got about 600 bucks any suggestions ooh any of the any of the cr-10 machines are going to be within your budget they're obviously going to offer you quite a bit larger print volume correct the cr6 has a lot of automated features and that's going to give you a slightly bigger print volume just slightly let's see for that sort of thing i would really go with man the android 3 max if they actually put it for sale a cr-10 i've played with the v2 that's been really good both of those fall i think within the 400 range which then leaves you some money for filaments right so that's pretty good yeah good night kevin be dust and speed show them a time lapse of any resin print you know time lapses of resin prints are pretty cool they're difficult to get too well depend depends on how big the wrestling print is true teo's are zakarius do you recommend starting a youtube channel with two printers how about this do you do i recommend starting a youtube channel yes if you have cool stuff so i did it very well you want to show the world then yes yes you can do it with one printer two printers or no printers depends on what you want to show i uh i started with one yeah with one yeah it was fun i started with none matthew uh parsanian any tips on printing pet g on an under three uh dry it out make sure it's nice and dry before you attempt it um yeah it depends if you can print it on the low end of the temperature scale cause xander three is gonna be have a ptfe lined hot end which means 240c is going to be your max really yeah i know i know some of them say 260 and i guess that's okay but but any it's within that range where ptfe can cook and off gas and right just not a i don't know that doesn't seem right so anyway so anyway yes dry it out and try to print it at the low end of the temperature scale the anchor is out that's correct the anchor yes that's the anchor oh spoiler upgrade to an all metal hot end first that's actually that's a great that's a great idea good idea although some people say an all metal hot end doesn't print pla as well really because it's so slippery it just slides out interesting some i think it's something about the the the friction within the ptfe compared to all metal okay oh there we go aaron f ptfe starts off gassing they're happening at 255c 255c and honestly when you are um when you're if you have your nozzle a little bit hotter and it's a ptfe lined hot end um i mean we're not talking about that much ptfe exposed to that higher temperature but still it's enough where if it's in the same room as you for a while it's going to give you give you a headache or don't they call it uh teflon flu isn't it because uh ptfe yeah teflon flu yeah uh as far as settings settings for time lapse so joel films all of the time lapses yeah i do oh i'm sorry you want my settings yeah do you have settings for that 4k 10 second intervals on prints that are going to be longer than five hours and just in fyi whatever we show them in the um the videos i typically speed them up quite a bit from that 10 second intervals but being able to have that that that detail allows you the ability to shrink and grow the the times absolutely yeah he talks a lot he talks fast so i have to kind of shorten things up a little bit i talk a lot and i talk fast it does happen yeah js3d super jump hulk smash that like button wow that's like a marvel version of on a machine like this right the bed is stable and x and y are moving above the bed so any time lapse is going to be fine if it's just attached to the bed in fact an i3 time lapse works as well attached to the bed because then the model is stationary within the view i mean the rest of the world is just going crazy non-stop but the but the model and the better stationary in the view because the camera is attached to it are chocolate bombs real i want chocolate bombs you are correct you don't have to smell poison for it to be bad for you that's that's true i like this this printer's speed
