STEP BY STEP GUIDE on How to Install Mods For STARFIELD! (THE EASY WAY)

hey guys and welcome back to another star fill tutorial this time I am here to teach you guys on how to install mods in less than 5 minutes anyways without wasting any more time let's start the video we will now first want to enable modding for Starfield as most mods require us to enable loose files we can simply do this by heading to your document my games then Starfield here we now want to create a new DOT ini file called Starfield custom.ini thank you if you cannot see your file extension simply click View and enable both hidden items and file name extension Now open up Starfield custom.ini and you will now have to copy and paste the following hit save and that's it now time to get a mod manager and in this video I will be using Vortex but as soon as mo2 is compatible with Starfield I'll make another tutorial anyways we now want to download Vortex mod manager you will need an account to use this but don't worry you do not need to pay anything the free account will do just fine once you download Vortex mod manager all you need to do now is install it and set it up once that's finished open up Vortex click on games and find Starfield since I already have star field set up in Vortex I do not need to do so but if you are setting up star field it will ask you to find your game root folder in my case it's steam Library the maps common star field click select folder and that's it now it's time to download and install some mods alright the mods I'll be installing are tactical Crosshair and a mod called Starfield fov on The Mod page of tactical Crosshair make sure to read the installation guidelines all the time as some mods requires other files to work once you've finished reading click on files then choose which files you want to use in my case that would be health bars and no dot Crosshair click on mod manager download and a Vortex prompt should pop out Vortex will then automatically open once your download is finished all you need to do is click this button right here and wait till it says enabled and that's it run Starfield and there you go alright for the next mod Starfield fov installing this mod has a different process which is why it's best to always read the installation guide for this mod all we need to do is head to document my games Star field and open up Starfield custom.ini then copy and paste this into your Starfield custom.ini it's save and that's it you can also change the values to your liking in my case I will leave it to 100 you can open up your Vortex and click play once again now we are done with the basic type of mod it's important to note that mods like Starfield upscaler or sfsc requires a different process for example sfsc requires you to manually put the files into your game root folder or also the folder where your dot exe is located at this is why reading all the installation guides is essential as for Star Phillips scaler I always separate tutorial available on my channel now time for the most common problem if you have followed all the steps in this video and encounter the problem like a mod not working and for example let's say tactical Crosshair it's most likely that your Starfield custom that ini is made incorrectly personally this happened to me and here's the solution head to this mod page and download the file once you download it replace your Starfield custom.ini by dragging the newly downloaded pile into your Starfield documents folder and hit replace and that's it you may be wondering if it's just the same thing well there are instances of hidden text input that I do not know how to explain but this is the fix I did to make my mods work in Starfield so yeah that's all there is to know as of now I'll be making a lot more Starfield and Skyrim content so if you're interested please check my channel out don't forget to leave a like comment and subscribe to the channel for more till next time
