How to Install Mods on Starfield the EASY way using VORTEX - Beginner Friendly!

hey guys what's up welcome to the channel my name is Tony this is the 15 minute gamer and today I'm going to show you how to mod Starfield as always we're going to keep it super simple I'm going to show you all the steps you need to do it and we're going to make a beginner friendly so anyway let's get on with it so the first thing you'll need to do is enable modern with inside star field so to do this you need to go to your documents folder my games and star field you'll see something along these lines right click go to new go to text document in the text document you want to name it just like this star field custom with a capital S capital c dot i n i so you just tape that in there until it looks like that of course in the description I will put all the links all the things you need to do inside there once you've done that open it up so you can double click you can use notepad um notepad plus plus whatever you want to do just to edit that file and you want to copy this in again it's in the description once you've done that click file click save and close it down and there you go Star field is ready to be modded so to get the mods we're gonna need to head to a website this website is called Nexus mods if you've watched any of my videos in the past you know I use this website a lot it's great and you just want to create a free account I just recommend going and getting one because whatever game you do there's always mods there on the PC and you'll need to download something called Vortex now you can install mods manually but it's effort we don't want loads of effort here just get this installed and it manages all your mods so you had in the link in the description come down here go to files and click manual download this will then download The Vortex mod launcher when you've downloaded installed it it will look something like this it takes two seconds to install it's not very long at all so once you're in here you want to click games on the left you want to go down the list I've got a fresh install here just so you can go along with me so it's not full of them because obviously I've got seven days to die and everything in there go down to look for Starfield when you've found Starfield if you hover over any of them you'll see it says manage click manage and that will add it up here it will ask you to install the extension or something on them lines from Nexus mods just click yes it'll take its Nexus mods you authorize the app and that's it it will be installed it will probably then say look I can't find the Starfield directory so what you need to do then is click on the three little dots click manually set location and set where star Fields installed now if you are using steam like I am it will probably be installed here which is steam steam apps common star field if you're not sure where it installed bring up your Steam right click on Star field go to manage and browse local files it'll tell you exactly where it's installed if you've got it through Game Pass open your Xbox app select the game click the three little dots here click manage go to files go to browse and now you go there's your location for your Xbox games that's where it'll be installed again just like Star field and click ok and that is star field setup ready to be modded now that's done we're gonna head back into Nexus mods and download earmod it is super easy said back in here go up to here type in Star fields and select games from the list click search and there you go there's Starfield these are all the mods there's so many mods out already like there's hundreds unbelievably hundreds of them already Batman signal for flashlight I mean what more could you want but you can see there's absolutely loads and most will install the same way or work in the same way the one we're gonna look at it's the first one I installed I think a lot of people are installing like 15 000 downloads already is the better Hood which basically just changes things around in the hood so that's the one I have selected again Link in the description you can read about it here it's always worthwhile just having a little read of the description as you can see enable modernness a bit we've done already and now we're going to install with Vortex you can manually install I said that just means you download then just have to click and drag the stuff yourself just do it automatically so we're gonna head up to here we're going to click files you can see the two main files there so there's disable enemy health and hit marker I personally wouldn't want to knock that off but I can see some people might we're going to download better Hood location and XP all you do is come down here and click mod manager download you may get some pop-ups just click yes when they come up once that is done go back into your Vortex go to mods on the left hand side click this little button here that will install then down and enable the mod and as easy as that that Mod's now enabled when I go back into star field I'll have better Hood now if I want to remove it I can disable it see if it's causing some problems or I can just click remove and it will uninstall it as easy as that it means all your mods are going to be in here you're not going to lose track and most mods will install the same so if we just go to another one and look for I don't know bad signal one there you see it's time to do the same thing again go to files so there you go I would click mod manager download click slow download you can't set up to a premium account if you want by the way but it obviously costs a little bit of money open Vortex going to here click install enable done easy as that that's how easy it is to mod star field so now that I've showed you that I hope you can just go
