hello everyone welcome back thank you for tuning in always a pleasure having you guys here today happy Thanksgiving and I hope you guys will have a good one for this week's tutorial we're gonna focus on a winter Christmas scene and I'd like to thank my patrons who helped me vote on what I should teach next if you'd like to be a part of color by Felix community I'll put the link right here all your support helps me improve my recording and my video editing and and hopefully I'm in trying to invest in better camera and better lighting systems so that I can have different angles and and improve my recording here for you guys so thank you guys for your support and I appreciate it everyone who is here today alright let's go over the materials we need for today if you haven't seen my last video I talked about this blending brush it took me months to create and now it is available at wkyt-dot-com also these will be on sale for 20% for this Black Friday so be sure to check that out the link is right here the sale will go on until Monday and you would need to use this code to get a discount so we'll be using this blending brush today we need some of these artists love brushes there are different sizes they're flat and double zero round detail brush for the details and then you half an inch flat brush and for paints I like to use heavy golden acrylics we need to tinium white carbon black ultramarine blue now so red light and cadmium yellow medium hue any of the primary colors will work whatever you have available it's totally fine doesn't have to be exactly what I'm using of course we need a palette and an appellate knife to mix it color we need any type of jar of water so when you're not using your brushes you put them in there so that your brushes won't dry and of course some paper towels to clean out your brush and I think that's and then also any if you'd like to use a hair blow dryer to dry out your first coats use that but I think that'll be all I've got a 16 by 20 inch canvas here it's already pre Jess load I bought it from Michaels you can use any size canvas you'd like and also I always say this but the amount of paints you put on your pallet depends on the size of canvas you have because you know you need to cover a certain amount of area so the amount of pain I'm shown here is the amount covers 16 by 20 inch canvas and what I got here is here's my nail and this is carbon black and ultramarine blue and a little bit of white and I have more of the ultramarine blue and then just ultramarine blue and a little bit of white and same thing pretty much these are pretty much the same thing I'm just the reason why I did that is I might add different matter add a little bit more white probably here or some other color we'll see but let's mix and see what colors it gives us we want our sky to be dark so I haven't really paid to the winter scene like like what I have in mind today but so this will be kind of new to me as well which will be a learning experience for me as well so we'll see what happens and how it's gonna turn out but we're gonna have it be in the evening we're gonna have an evening so that we can have some of maybe have a little like a ginger house or something and some lights and Christmas trees and a little bridge with a lake that's the kind of painting the idea I have so this is what we have this is what it turned out we have it's like a dark a grayish blue color right here so that's the color where we want this is gonna be a lighter one who knows we might draw moon in there we'll see in an hour final color right here should be the same I think what I'm gonna do is add there you go so I added just a touch more of white here so I'm gonna mix that first it's just gonna give me a lighter color here okay doesn't have to be perfect there you go that's good enough and here instead of adding more black what I like to do is sometimes just grab a little bit of this color that we have mixed here onto my palette and I have just a little bit of it and mix it in here right there there you go so we've got our three shades we're gonna probably our horizon lines gonna be down the middle so we're gonna cover half of it with the sky and we're gonna make this guy very plain we're gonna grab our water jar here and our blending brush we're gonna dip it in halfway about this much squeeze it a little bit out leave some in there just so won't be too it but it has some water in there so then I'm just gonna grab this dark color right here as you can see there my brush has water and so I'm gonna put it right down the middle just like this just cover everything like that nice and smooth and easy right there and then also just spread it out maybe there's someone here maybe it goes all the way on top like that maybe it comes down like this just take it all in spreader realm and then grab our second color here put it right in the middle right in here and then maybe also add some in here maybe go up a little bit dance you know blended and kind of spread it out evenly we want it to be pretty dark and it's going to be very dark cuz this it's a night so there won't be too much color so then we're gonna grab our final color and fill in the areas the white areas don't focus on blending anything perfectly yet because we are going to do that next first we're gonna lay down and cover our base coat our our background fill in the canvas with the paint I'm grabbing everything and spreading it around there you go as you can see it's very rough and that's kind of what we're what we want all right so now what I like to do is grab my water and I'm gonna lightly press down like this and get most of the paint out of my brush if there's still a little bit of paint that's okay just get most of it out just lightly press back and forth down like this and this is good enough and just grease the water and gently squeeze most of the water and then once you have it squeezed you grab your paper towels Oh grab your paper towel and then just kind of lightly press what we're trying to do is get most of the water out and then swirl it onto your paper towel very easy and and this this actually goes a lot faster when I'm not describing and showing you guys this and I have a camera on this side so it goes a lot faster and it's it's a lot of fun but blending is one of my favorite parts of painting so I get most of the paint out it doesn't have to be perfect you know just that's good enough like this it's good still damp but we got most of the paint out don't worry about the some of the paint there you can clean it with water and soap after you're done using the brush but so once we got most of the pain out it's still damp we're gonna start blending and what I like to do is just pull it upwards and press lightly start from the bottom okay pressing lightly and pulling upwards now you might not see the colors in the video a lot of color in the video but once once it dries in real you know you like I can see so much transitions from darks to lights it's very cool very cool and I wish you guys could see it in person what's happening but this is the best way I can do show you guys so far what I've got but it's blending very nicely and I'm just lightly pressing not pressing hard and just carrying the paint upwards slightly don't press too hard there you go so we've got our first coat of blending done now I'm gonna do the same process and clean out the brush that it easy it's actually easier the second time because the first time you have to take more paint out but the second time you don't have to spend so much time trying to get the paint out squeeze it out do the same process clean it out dry it out but this time you want to get a little bit of more water out of there so just lightly press onto your paper towel and if you need more paper towels you grab a paper towel and grab some more and just swirl it on there and then you'll be good to go so here you have it it's pretty dry as we can see a little bit damp and then the second time blending you do the same thing lightly pressing this time you press even lighter and just go you know blend it in maybe you don't maybe switch it around maybe instead of pulling upwards pull a little bit down you know whatever whatever you have to do to blend back and forth the colors because it's carrying colors up and carrying colors down you know I'm gonna just blend some of the areas and nicely wow these blues are really glowing I really like how it's turning now and and some of these blues can act as clouds so naturally what's happening is they created the natural clouds start to appear in your grading natural lights by just blending very easy and that's cool cuz you never know where your clouds will appear unless you you know plan it add the lighter colors onto the certain areas of your canvas and this time it's very easy you just go over and blend just some of the areas where you want it to be a little more smoother all right once you got that done and you got your second blending layer squared away we are going to dry out our first coat and I like to use a hair blow dryer like I said before so I'm going to quickly do that all right it's uh our coat our first coat is dry and we're gonna grab a half an inch artist laughs brush you can use any brush that works for you but this is a rough cheap brush from Michaels right here we're gonna dab it in the water halfway squeeze it out make a damp and what we're gonna do is we have some of this paint left and with just the slightest color right here this blue that we have left I'm going to create some clouds in the sky so I'm gonna try to connect some of these areas so I'm gonna try to add a cloud maybe far away there's a cloud that's you know kind of split up and you know it fades away like this okay and then maybe it attaches here to this one so just with water and this blue color we're gonna add another cloud right in here going in like this and feed it out gonna grab some more of this blue and just create some clouds that's what we're doing and I'm just pressing a little bit harder with water and a little bit of this blue and just you know blending that in creating some clouds that's what we're doing okay very easy very easy very easy could do so much with water in one color maybe add some here maybe yeah you know wherever you want your clouds to be and just swirl it and blend it out like don't be afraid to carry that pain and blend it out into your blacks it's very we're working very transparent and the way you work transparent is just by adding a little bit of water and grabbing your color so it carries the paint you know easy easier let's add some in here so I'm gonna grab a little bit of more water here I just dabbed it in the water just a tip and grab more of this blue and I'm gonna carry this cloud up like this and they're gonna be very very very you know like a hint that's what we're creating with creating hints of clouds in the sky okay just hints maybe we want some clouds continue on here and feed it out on as you go off like this okay and then grab more and then add some clouds in here just naturally attach them to the lighter blue areas that you have and just have fun creating your clouds where you want it to be okay maybe something here going up like that very easy guys just just a little bit of water on your brush and this light blue color that we have here we're gonna create a few more you know attach maybe this one up here have more and then maybe add some in here some little ones we want to make it interesting we don't want this guy to be just very plain you know one color type of thing we want to add some interesting shapes in our clouds and shadows and things like that okay so just have fun and maybe add and if you want to make some blues pop out even more that's where you don't grab water you just don't grab any more water grab this paint this blue paint and and you know your lighter blues okay that'll really make your clouds pop out that's you know if you want want to do that like I like to do that on some of the area's some of my clouds just to give it some definition and depth I guess maybe add some in here and then feed it out okay and then we're gonna do the same thing here we're gonna just create you know a few more clouds we don't want this side to be empty so this is where I'm gonna dab my brush in the water so that I won't carry too much paint and just naturally create your clouds all right let's go on let's keep moving grab more of this blue maybe add something here bigger clouds and as you can see what I'm doing here is I'm creating like a like a kind of like a big smile effect with my clouds because those clouds as you look far away they become more of straighter you know like more like this but as you get as you look at the clouds closer they become circular and more you know you want to create that if you if you just draw straight clouds like this all in this guide that's fine too but then that means they're like kind of like further away I mean clouds can be a different shape but this brings out more of you know like like a 3d look shape into your painting 3d I don't even know how to describe that but I hope you can see what I'm talking about sometimes I I describe things better in just painting been speaking so just create your clouds carry them up lightly in the water in the corner of my brush grab a little bit more of that blue and lightly here create some straighter ones and fade it out now I'm working transparent so this after it dries you could see with water the what's transparent is when you use water and a little bit of paint it sees through the coat that you already have underneath the base coat that's why I always say transparent because water does that now you can get mediums that help you create transparency you add it into your acrylics and it helps you do that but I've tried that before and it's not my forte but I do like the water effect better so it works better for me so fade it out land it in all right now once you added the clouds where you want them to be we're gonna move on and add a few stars in our sky so I've got this detail brush I'm gonna dab it in the water make the tip pointy and then and if you have a thinner brush than this that would be also nice to use but we're not gonna add too much stars but just a few stars in the sky okay just a few so just add wherever you want them to be maybe some one here maybe there's some further ones out there just a few maybe there's some bigger ones up close okay just have fun Adam where you want them to be okay let's have that little moon grab any half-inch brush and dab it in the water squeeze the water out so it could be damp and then grab titanium white and then we're gonna just draw the moon let's do it right in here damn my brush in the water again and just draw your circle all right we roughly draw it in there and then you can get the corners of it and spend time on trying to get it you know that's perfect as you want the circle shape so I just grabbed a detail brush and a little bit of water and this white and just fix the corners just patiently make your circle okay and then let it dry and then what we're gonna do is clean out a brush and use the detail brush with water and white and get the corners blend it in create like a little reflection around your moon like a glowy effect alright so now the moon is done our sky is finished we added some clouds a few stars and then a little moon there you can spend as much time detailing the moon and the way I showed you on this video that's how I do it I just spend a little bit more time with a detail brush going over and just creating my little details here and there but we're gonna move on to the next thing and we're gonna add some trees okay and so what I got here is just carbon black a little bit of red and yellow and it's gonna be very dark so you won't see most of these colors but so it's gonna be very dark still almost like a brownish color so we're gonna create some trees and first I'm gonna grab our detail brush and what we're gonna do is draw out some trees okay so we're gonna grab water and this black and let's actually looking at this let's actually go ahead and grab our 1/2 an inch artis lock brush okay since these are gonna be more covered in snow we don't need to add to find details on their branches so let's just grab our artist law brush and grab this paint and let's go ahead and add some bushes right along here okay some here and then maybe there's a little tree going down this way and we're gonna just create a very very plain simple shape of a tree just coming back and forth like this creating our darks first we're gonna go over with a snow on layering the snow on top but we're creating our base coat it's just this black and then maybe there's another tree a little bit taller going in here how about that going all the way down and let's create our branches all right very easy okay next let's create some bushes in the background it's just a dark and maybe a few more trees here little ones and then another one next to it and then let's add some bushes in the background and just bring it down like this and then this is where we're gonna have a little house here okay so don't focus on trying to cover this area we're gonna start from here again let's add the bushes here and then we're gonna add another tree let's make this one let's make this one grab a half an inch brush let's make this one a different type of tree let's make it angled okay I'm gonna make it a little bit circular actually like this I make this tree a little more than just a pine tree okay I'm gonna have it some branches sticking out there's a branch going out like this grab my detail brush using the same color in water and would go into just a few more add a few more branches detail and maybe even carry it out like this okay just draw your branches could spend as much time as you want on these trees maybe draw another one going like this alright that's good enough for that tree I'm gonna detail it later now we're gonna grab our artists loft brush continue on adding a few more bushes far behind just dab it in there just with water in this cover just cover some of the white areas there you go alright so now we're gonna draw out and fill in some of the snow in here and then add in the house details and all that stuff but here's what I've got I've got ultramarine blue and a little bit of black and I mix that real quick this will be for our little river this color and then next we have is ultramarine blue and just white mix that in that will be for the snow there's no areas and then I just added white just in case I might use it as we paint and go along but I'm gonna make another shade real quick I'm gonna add ultramarine blue I'm just gonna make a little bit of a darker blue just for the highlights in the snow so just grab part of this and mix it in with the blue right about there okay we're gonna grab an artist's fluff brush and then we're gonna start with this darker blue color as the snow and we're just gonna create some snow far in the back just randomly add them in just cover it all and go in here a little bit alright doesn't have to be perfect and then you can add some of the lighter snow areas in here and then I'm gonna grab this blue again and just add some in here I'm gonna have a little creek going I would say starting from here it's gonna be bumpy bumpy bumpy and it'll fade out somewhere in here okay and here it's gonna start in there and then going here and then probably gonna make a make the river just about like this okay all right now what we're gonna do is cover remember this dark blue that we made just put that end here it doesn't have to be perfect put that in [Music] okay and continue on keep adding yet now we're gonna have a bridge here and it's gonna go in and there will be like a little circular kind of shape okay so it's gonna go like like this and probably and right here it's gonna go like that okay something like that and then so this parts gonna be a different color so we're just gonna continue on from here and cover it all with this dark blue and then here you can start blending in some of the lighter blue maybe there's some rocks and snow kind of going like this so we're gonna grab that darker shade just blend everything in just blend it all in this dark color that we have mixed all right just like that and then here you can grab your fluffy brush squeeze the water out and you know dry it out it doesn't have to be fully dry but just make it take most of the water out of your fluffy brush here like this and just lightly blend that those colors in so you won't see any brush strokes just go up and down doesn't have to be perfect okay just open down like this just like that and it's okay if you go over a little bit because we're gonna cover this with snow anyway all right so that would be yard like a river okay we're gonna continue adding snow and we're gonna grab our artist's loft brush mix some of this darker blue with with with this color this blue here because this will be the snow and we don't want it to be too bright here because it's under the bridge so then as you get higher up you can start adding the lighter snow and your snow could be you know fluffy and have some shapes so that's why you want to evenly create like split them up equally you know what I mean like create little Hills like for example like there's a little hill here so just grab some of this darker color maybe add like a little hill that'll create like a little separation okay and then go back to the lighter color add it on top and kind of do the same thing all around you know here for example add the darker and then as you go up and the lighter blue split it up evenly we're just covering your base first that's what we're doing all right and then here I'm gonna grab our lighter color and add it on top maybe there's like a little bump here so we're going to add some of this darker shadow here and bring it down maybe carry it out this way kepta blue and then add it like that just evenly spread it out we're gonna have a house here like I said so don't add too much in they're gonna be all covered right here at this area so then we're gonna grab that dark blue here add it all alone here this add some darker area so grab this darker one add some darker areas here create some bumps natural bumps you know how the snow is it's always has these interesting shapes and things going on you know on the ground fluffy things and as we got you know we got that really quickly put on there we're gonna grab a fluffy brush and squeeze out the water do the same thing what we did with the water and you know mostly try to dry it out it doesn't have to be perfect okay just get most of the water out and it's still damp that's okay and just lightly blend in just dab it and pull the paint out and it blends in nicely it makes it very smooth okay that's what we want we want our snow to be smooth and fluffy looking and this helps a lot okay there you go and now we're gonna add some snow up here in closer area what we're gonna do now is grab our light color and we're gonna add it right here on the edge of this snow just split it up maybe come out in here just with that light and attach it right there and then go with a darker snow and darker I mean shadow and first create your little bumps you know and split them up evenly just grab that blue it's never perfect grab some of this dark hair you know and if you don't have it just use a little bit of the black if you if you ran out of that color okay it doesn't have to be exactly this color just use a little bit of the black mix it in with this blue whatever color you have it's going to be just fine put it in there you know you want see I ran out so I'm gonna grab borrow this black right here that I have now I could just use just straight black like I said but that's okay I'm just gonna create some highlights and stuff and my snow evenly spread it out right there go back to my blue and add it try to cover my canvas with the rest of the color here that I have okay just cover it spread it evenly have fun you know create different highlighted what this does is I mean right now it looks like it's blobs of paint all over your canvas but once you blend it blend all these colors in it really makes beautiful highlights and things in your snow so now we're gonna do the same thing grab our fluffy brush squeeze out the water grab our paper towel you know quickly dry it out gently swirl it onto your paper towel like this he gets most of the water out and there you go that's good enough and then we're going to blend everything yet so lightly press and land it all in lightly press and blend it all in okay see how naturally that just happened you didn't have to try to create these highlights you know trying to I mean there's different ways to do it but I love doing it this way because it naturally creates your own highlights and it's fun like that way okay there you go yeah I'm gonna drive this coat and we're gonna add some details to our trees okay so for some of the bushes in the back what I have here is white and a touch of yellow and a little bit of red okay just a touch okay I just want some of that red like and yellow onto my bushes okay so that's what I'm gonna create this color right here it's just a little lighter than this one okay and what we're gonna do first is grab our artists off half an inch brush clean it out and grab this blue that we have here this light blue and we're gonna create some snow okay some snow in our tree very easy just dab it lightly use one quarter of the one corner of the brush sorry and just add snow as much as you want onto your trees okay right there as it gets lower maybe split it up a little bit okay I'm gonna stop there for that tree I'm gonna go and add a little bit maybe mix some make it a little darker so it won't be too you know - too blue because I want to split split it up evenly so that's why I'm gonna grab that and then add some on top here these bushes remember these bushes we want to add some snow behind as well like that okay so just the darker once all right behind maybe maybe you don't see them that well but they're there okay and had a few more in here very very far away one's easy easy just add lightly press don't press hard and dab it in there okay just like that and then fade it out it gets darker and darker as you go out and add a few with him a little bit brighter on the top because the light is hitting those the trees okay so we're gonna grab this color again and to remember some of these trees we added here I'm gonna create some snow very lightly press and have fun go back and forth just like that okay same thing on this tree just lightly press this one might have a little bit of more snow okay just like that and then this one remember this lighter one so we're gonna grab this and add it onto this one let's make this one a little bigger like that just go back and forth maybe grab some of the blue add it on the edges and go back to this color and add it okay you could see and the reason why I'm adding this a little bit lighter is because when that the house is going to be here maybe it's the light hitting to this tree here that's why it's a little lighter than the other ones okay just keep that in mind all right now it's had a few lighter ones over here on top few little bit I want to make them a little lighter they're too dark here in the back okay all right yeah we're gonna add continue adding this blue on to these bushes right here far away just add it on top they're far away but they have snow okay a nice snow so grab this lighter color and let's add some bushes maybe on the ground link there's some little bushes or something some snow that's laying around and some bushes that has some highlights from the house shining onto them okay there you go just like that now you can go over and remember this black color that we have mixed here you just grab some of this and then add some on the bottom here create a little highlight from the light and from the trees on the bottom here fade it out maybe like this use your finger if you have to okay and then maybe there's some if there's a highlight in here from these trees all right number these trees maybe it goes over you up like this dips down comes back up here create little highlights in your snow just little once not too much though just a few places okay maybe there's something going on around here use your finger little rock or something and clean my brush out and add this blue take some of this out a little bit all right now I'm gonna grab with this color right here it doesn't matter which color you use actually just grab whatever you have and then draw out some rocks in your water there's some rocks in in there by the river floating away maybe there's a big rock right here and as it gets closer the rocks becomes you know bigger and bigger but they have snow on them okay and here as it gets closer here because of the bridge it the rocks are little darker so grab this blue you net a few more bigger rocks up here and add a few more here in the background there you go and you could touch it up with your detail brush go over and you can like create like little more details on your rocks you know make it more circular maybe add a little bit of more rocks there you know just just play around and as much as you want and if it's too bright you could dim it down by adding a little bit of darker blue whatever color you have but that's what it takes you have these little details you just go back and forth and details the more you know shadows and time you spend on it obviously it'll start to come to life more and more so I just grabbed some of the black and water here I'm gonna create like a little Hill here like going up like this and fading out maybe a fades out in there like this dab my brush in the water create maybe maybe another Hill right in here attached and okay just very quickly and easy and a few little Hills fade it out okay fade it out maybe snow is maybe it's the shadows from the snow you know going up you play around see what you can do where you want your highlights to be in your snow okay all right I think I'm gonna carry this up a bit and bring it down here down my brush in water and create a little highlight like this maybe it goes down in here and comes back up there like this and then here we're gonna create a little highlight as well just using your finger and drawing a few little lines few little lines there you go you want your snow to look 3d not 3d but you know what I mean I have depths and shadows and things like that there you go I'm not gonna add too much that's good enough right there and we're gonna work on the bridge later but let's now add our heart house and what we need is all right so I added some red yellow black and a little bit of white right here we're just gonna mix that and it's gonna be like a brownish color okay we want our house to look a little red from the light from the light that is inside the house it's hitting the house and it makes it look red so that's what we're gonna do and I'm gonna grab a little more black and this time I'm just gonna use straight black out of the tube and so now I'm gonna grab-grab my half an inch and grab just pure black okay let's start with that first I'm gonna create now I know one of my patrons showed me that they used chalk to draw out there you know sketch and that works really cool I have to try that sometime but the way he showed me how he does that using a chalk because it once you draw your shape then you can easily erase it you know it doesn't damage your painting and doesn't do anything so that I kind of like that idea so but I don't have chalk today so I'm just gonna use water and black and this is how I always would do it is first sketch it in my house out and and first I'm gonna add a little uh okay this will be where the snow will be so the first part of the house like this and then here kind of wraps around like this and then another one goes like this goes tall like this and let's draw it like this and then maybe it goes down here and then there's a little chimney up here it's all gonna come to life once I start adding color I'm lightly just going over and drawing out my shapes of the house how I want it to look like okay and then it goes down you know there's like a little other little window or something here and it comes down like up to there okay and you try like this it's gonna be very simple I'm not gonna spend well I mean you could spend a lot of time making these look really nice you know what I mean these houses could spend a lot of time detailing them and drawing out your shapes and the way you want it to look like and all that awesome cool fades so now remember this red color so I'm gonna just go ahead and cover everything here like um just on on the inside right here just cover it all with just red maybe go down here on top there's gonna be snow there so don't add anything on these tops okay yes add the red everywhere okay and then grab more red and then add it here doesn't have to be perfect and then here we're gonna go straight down and it kind of goes down in there right the snow covers it but it goes down in oops all the way like this okay and now we're gonna grab our artist love brush dab it in you know clean out our brush dry it out and we're gonna grab this blue remember this blue and we're gonna just fill it in all right that's the the snow okay that's the snow just head in fill them don't cover everything because we're gonna go back in detail and add more you know more details on our snow and all that stuff I just kind of add in your shapes okay and it's a little uh little snowy area right about there and so now I'm gonna go back with my detail brush and add a few details of this snow going all over okay so here we're gonna add the snow we're gonna make a little curve and it kind of fades out to the other side okay grab more snow and draw out your you know where you want your snow to be remember this chimney here goes down and then it comes up here so I'm just going over and adding a little bit more detail you know with the snow covering my hobbit house with the snow create these little details that find details that will make your house pop out that's what we're doing here here maybe there's snow in here in the back we didn't see and it attaches there just like that remember this is a little one you don't want to leave it alone when I had some snow on it as well there you go maybe fix this area now I'm going to just kind of outline my shape of the the fireplace and try to add a little bit of more details on it and maybe pull it down with the finger so won't be too perfect okay I'm just lightly doing this so we can see the chimney okay and then maybe here there's like a little circular window or something yeah just have fun adding a few details gonna add a few windows right in here and first we're gonna use this color because the same color we're gonna go over and add the little details later to it little window here and then maybe there's a little window red in here okay and then also there's some windows in here some taller ones let's make some taller windows okay just like that add some more water to your brush you can run smoothly and stay consistent with it and add your windows any shape you want onto your house okay and then maybe here it becomes a little skinnier here maybe there's a window right in here like this little windows in there here and there okay and then here we're gonna add a little poll or something going on here and just add some like life lights shadows all right and we're gonna continue and let's add a window right in here a bigger one and maybe one in here okay make these a little bit more taller skinny and tall there you go oops it's okay alright now we're gonna grab some white and just add in your light add in the light yes put it in there with white doesn't have to be perfect okay all right and here we're gonna create so glowy effect so we're gonna grab yellow and this remember this color we mixed or you can add a little bit of red okay and what I'm trying to do is make it like an orange color okay and like like just in one color doesn't have to be exactly actually let it not be exactly like mine you know just make an orange color because I'm just mixing these as I'm going and as long as it has that light orange yellowish glow then you're good to go and we're gonna add some oops not in here I'm gonna add some right in here just randomly okay randomly get that color in there I might look a little weird at first but there is a plan put it in between these okay but I'm in-between these lights just quickly see I use my maybe some in here as well and I'm gonna fix this real quick and add it a little bit too much okay now we're gonna grab some white just grab some white and let's create a little light bulb right in here and spread it out like this like it's shiny okay maybe even we're out of yellow straight out of the tube and let's add yellow straight out of the tube and let's edit on the edges just like we could use your finger to kind of spread it out evenly if you want middle lights shining here and there okay and I do the same thing maybe add that yellowish on top of the snow here and then maybe around these edges this yellow white mix it with white and add it around these edges like this alright it makes it your house glow more bringing it up here okay as you could see it's starting to glow because of the light that maybe some here okay grab a little bit of this yellow and put it in the middle of these windows maybe you and you know create some light shining through and then add a little bit of white so can really should start to pop out okay let's add another one of those somewhere in the house let's add it maybe there's a little one here and it's glowing and shining down my brush and spread that color with just water more of the yellow put it underneath you know makes a glowy effect and then grab the white and then final touch just touch it in there and then we're gonna grab yellow you just put some yellow inside your windows so it's a warm feeling okay it's a warm feeling people are welcome to this house so we're gonna create so grab more yellow with water create some glow effect onto your house here cuz the light is shining so so hard that it's hitting some of these areas even here okay and now add some of the white and same thing why didn't yell oh and maybe add some on the snow here okay a little bit of more white just on some of the areas on top just on top right here blend it in with the finger it creates a little glowy effect from this light and then continue and add it a little bit on top right here because the top is shining down and hitting this part same thing here just a little bit like that creates a little nice glow unto that part of the snow and now here we're gonna create some some beautiful little Christmas lights with the detail brush grab our white and let's go and add a few little Christmas lights middle ones okay just later ones spread them out evenly my brush in the water just and as much as you want okay make your house very welcoming maybe some on the chimney here and a few more here okay you know we are now grab our detail brush and some of this yellow and white kind of the same thing as we did right here on top right weird of that light hitting the snow we're gonna do the same idea I'm gonna draw out a little highlight from this building and let the light kind of you know fade in into these the snow on the bottom here from the house and just fade it out like this same thing here and that yellowish lightest color right here and just faded out create a little bumps in the snow little highlights here and there you only spread that color so that people can see that you're a nice person and you like to have people over just feed it out like that there you go maybe there's a little bump here in the snow in that light is hitting as you go away further and further just fade it out there you go now remember this tree we kind of left a blank so let's go back and add grab some of this blue here and let's go over some of this tree just some areas the highlights you know in a tree you don't want to leave it very plain you know so just I had in your highlights in your trees okay doesn't have to be perfect because the light is hitting that part of the tree we want to make it a little bit more Chloe so we're gonna add a little bit of yellow in there just like that do the same thing on this one right here and your highlights blowing us on to your tree so that everyone be alone and too much there that's okay and we're gonna what we're gonna do here is use our artists law brush and let's just add some of the mix it in blue whatever color you got there make our tree have some color in there and just dab it in some of that areas okay you don't have to cover everything but I want my treat you have some snow in it okay so I'm gonna create like a little bump here in there so grab some of this color add some tips no one here maybe as it goes up a little higher it becomes a little darker so mix it in with a black and and a few few of them right in here okay grab our colors here and just add the snow as much as you want it onto your trees maybe it's falling down here like this as much as you want okay and we can obviously go back and with a black and cover in some of the you know in the middle some of these areas that they can be a little more darker it doesn't have to be you want to color here and then I'm going to clean my brush and because of the light hitting onto my house I'm going to add this remember this color we added to this tree it's like a very bright peachy color it's just white a little bit of yellow and a touch of red but you could see right here you just had it on some - some of these you know branches here because of the light okay and the moon the moon is hitting this side a lot more so just even even it out spread it out you and me and then not everywhere just on one side okay on your left side okay that's what we're gonna do just and then maybe some in here maybe some of them are popping out at you a little bit closer but there you go and because the light is hitting like I said that part of the tree I'm gonna actually drawing a little bit of the highlights from the moon and house hitting this tree okay just on one part yeah all right so now I'm gonna grab my hardest left brush grab this color and just add some of the highlights from the light okay I'm gonna add a little bit more brighter once around here and fade it out all right fit out maybe handsome in there to my rocks someone here may be far away creating a few adding a few little details in my snow really quickly just land that in kind of what we did with the same thing with the sky just we added that color with water just mixed everything and doesn't have to be perfect okay just roughly put some back color in yellow glowy color that's here snow just to create some of the highlights and your snow and remember this part right here we kind of left a blank not kind of we didn't leave a blank what I'm gonna do here is I'm gonna grab this color and grab the yellow you just put it in here I know you may think what why yellow just yellow and this leftover or white okay white or yellow and just put it right in the middle like this and then feed it out to the blue just blue okay which will kind of turn into green and you'll see why I'm doing this and I'm here I'm gonna grab the rest of the blue but I don't you know have loosen just gonna mix it with black you just blend it out in two shall we let's grab that black in here it's gonna be like a bridge with some lights on it okay that'll be the last final details we're gonna focus on okay now this is why I like my blending brush because I squeeze out the water and to save time I just you see how rough it looks with that brush I just swirl it on like this and clean it out and then I just blend that in land it all in I know might look a little rough but that's okay just blend it in here blend it in and grab your paper towel if you need to you just wipe off the areas where you don't want too much going on and what we're gonna do now is I'm going to add more blue so I ran out of blue so I just added ultramarine blue white and a little bit of black yeah we're gonna try to create a lighter a balloon color here so I might need to add a little bit more white actually I do so that's not a problem I just had a little more white and we should be good to go there you go that's good enough we want our snow to be still you know pretty dark so that's why we don't want to add too much white so we're gonna grab that and add it alongside this bridge right here just roughly add it in there and then here we can add more white edges okay I know it looks rough but we will get to the main point soon maybe there's just no right about in here so here I'm gonna grab a little bit more yellow and work yellow and white again so I just added some yellow and I'm gonna grab white yeah and a little bit of yellow okay and here I'm gonna just slowly add some snow fade it out and fade it out maybe add some of this yellow color some of its glowing right here all right now what we're gonna do is drop the rails so I'm gonna grab my half an inch brush and black just pure black very simple and what we're gonna do is start adding our little bridge okay so we're gonna add a little log here and then maybe there's one right in here and these don't have to be perfect just draw them in at first one in here okay and then also I want to draw one in here more of a little one it fades out okay it fades out and then one more in here even smaller like that and here I want to draw one right about here right about here yeah and draw it about this high all right and then next we've got one right in here but this high and one in here and then here I want to add another one right about in here just straight down like this okay and then I'm gonna continue on add one more in here and then add another one grit in here and then one tall one right in here okay like that we're gonna continue on this side and a little one they're gonna want in their split it up evenly and finish it off maybe somewhere in there okay and then here is the fun part we're gonna connect them and just draw it out just like that roughly dried out connect them okay do the same thing here connect this it kind of goes in like this so and then it spirals like this and then you go all the way like that there you go looks a little rough but that's okay and then what we're gonna do is create like these little little caps maybe there's a cap right in here you can't see it just easily and maybe there's a bigger one right here just create little caps all right now we're gonna grab our hardest stuff brush clean it up now let's have some snow what we're gonna do start off with this blue that we have here yeah we're gonna add the snow right on top of our rail make it a little lighter actually let's I'm gonna dry it out because I don't want to carry that black into my paint so I'm gonna dry it out real quick there you go so I'm gonna grab this blue mix it in with the white a little bit okay and then add the snow right on top right here and then maybe it goes like that okay and then here it kind of spirals up like this and then this is where the yellow comes in I'm gonna mix the yellow and add some yellow and white okay onto our rails it will look a little rough but that's okay same thing on the other side add your snowmen and as you go out to gets darker with the blue just like that okay really roughly out of that snow in there now you can go back with a detail brush and add a few more fine details around like for example snow around here that's no one top in here than there just quickly sketch them out real quick like this you know it's gonna look a little rough but that's okay you need the sketch first alright gonna draw out a little connection okay what we're gonna do is grab the black and draw a little connection remember how I drew this in here it's gonna go in in the snow like this it's connection and just fade it out into the snow same thing here I'm gonna connect this and it's gonna fade out there just with black just connect these roughly okay and you could bring this down a bit you know draw your shadows or whatever this may look like to you and then maybe you can have because the snow is coming out like this so you want is to be a little more cleaner in with the black we're gonna create little shadow underneath this bridge connecting and stopping right about there so that'll go down it'll roughly connect in there inside this just with black and water and you can loop it in and connect it right there into the snow it's a bridge the shadow inside draw maybe a leg in here somewhere maybe in here going in to the water all right maybe there's another leg in there just fade it out it should be your darkest area okay all right let's see and create a little rock in here it has some highlights just black and water does it can really create some nice shadows and some rocks in your water just with black okay very very simple guys have fun creating it in your own style okay I'll go over and add your highlights with the black on the edges right here and then maybe fade it out you don't need to go all the way maybe it becomes lighter in there maybe had a few darker rocks in there you know and I'm here you just go over and add a little circular kind of like a shape to separate the snow from these things you know it's just drawing the black they don't have to be perfect that's quickly drawn them in there and then here you can can use a little bit of the black the artist soft brush and create some you know shadow effects just draw them in there and you're in your snow okay all right now you're probably wondering why is this so yellow one because we're gonna add some lights now and so we're gonna grab some black and gonna add a few lights maybe one one in here goes up in here and comes up oh we have probably up to this point and then one in here and then one in here okay just three three little lights yeah we're gonna continue adding some details and just clean your detail brush grab some white and add some white right about there right about there and right about there right just quickly sketch it off like that just with white and then grab some yellow and add around your white just pure yellow and then you can also fade it like draw like you know draw it like this drive the way you want it to look like okay now you're thinking well that's evenly push this up like this and spit it out and then I'm going to come back to my white and add the white in the middle pure white in the middle and you can add some yellow going down under your pool some of the seal could be hitting these areas your little caps here let's just draw them in there are other yellow in there and that's why you got the glow here and then I'm gonna go over with just black and my detail brush and add a few little little highlights from the wood one faded out but this kind of gives a little texture to our wood here you could since it's a little too blow you can always take it out with just black just add it in roughly in there just blacken water all righty then and then just with yellow and white add in some highlights like this like how I did here just straight down right here and maybe even you know underneath this would as well just like me that'll create like a nice-looking yeah like a light warm warm light is hitting that log okay there you go okay maybe there's another light right in here all right so now we're gonna add Amen for a few more details just add some interesting rocks maybe in there right here maybe some in here maybe they're little bushes or something grass if you don't like it you can always clean it clean it out with paper towel and wet paper towel just like to add a few more details here all righty then and then maybe add a few more little rocks here in the water kind of cleaning it up a little bit right in here and I'm with a detail brush you can add some bushes and things you know some little bushes here whatever you want you don't have to do this if there's a little bush right in the corner I didn't hear hiding your way in there maybe there's a little one pick picking out in there maybe there's one going up like this there you go alright and for our final touch we're gonna add a little snowman so we're gonna grab any blue you have leftover and white let's start with just white and Adam and red in here let's make them like this big we're not gonna make them too big just add your little snowman said to become a little bigger on this side he had a little too much doughnuts here you go add some blue in here just like that and then grab some black and go around the whoops that's a little too much black no worries so I clean my brush out to make sure it's very fine okay now let's add some buttons there's a button there button there and I'm button right there you can't see his face but he has a little happy smiley face let's add some arms we're branches like that and there's one in there okay let's had the little shadow from the Snowman and a little bit of more blue in here on the bottom because this is supposed to be the darker area and maybe gets lighter as you go up there okay here you guys have it a little nice Christmas winter scene right here I hope you guys enjoyed this you can spend as much time in detailing everything going back and adding Christmas lights or more lights around here or whatever you want to add feel free to do so have fun with this and thank you for tuning in guys and always being supportive I hope you guys enjoy
