Slay the Spire Mods: Downfall - Gremlins!

all right let's get things rolling hello everybody welcome welcome welcome it's been a long time since downfall uh last time which downfall was a long time back on our mod list if you remember downfall is the giant mod that has all of these enemy classes and you go down the spire instead you know we have our [Music] uh last night's stream give me dreams playing card you might didn't comprehend and got me frustrated yeah slime boss guardian hex ghost the champ [Music] the automaton and the seco we did all of these [Music] but now there's a new one it's time for gremlins oh [ __ ] i didn't do the unlocks well that's on me i suppose uh i completely forgot that this was one of them with unlocks i guess i didn't do that on the rest of these either you can see there's unlocks on a lot of these so at least it's consistent let us learn about the gremlins are you ready here's our starting relic at the start of each combat gain an energy draw a card and swap to the next gremlin uh we can upgrade a card we can obtain a thousand soul 100 sold 5 000 souls choose a rare colorless card to obtain or boss relic which we will not be doing all right let's take a look at what we got we got strike it upgrades how you expect we got defend it blocks the way you expect tag team swap to a living gremlin of your choice switch places with another character does nothing if they're not valid targets gremlin dance is a strike that has a bonus effect depending on which gremlin you are interesting let's go ahead and take the extra souls all right yeah we have 16 health but if you take a look at this we don't just have 16 health there are a few of us [Music] wow uh all right are you ready for like the the worst idea possible it's not broken like over time it's kind of annoying me the like highlighted paths doesn't know how to click on things anymore like sometimes has to be all the way to the right sometimes it'll be all the way to the bottom it doesn't quite understand anymore like it's it's been this week in the last it's been very bad [Music] so anyway crumbling below the cut uh as well grab her key i don't have anything to get down and we'll take a fight over the shop early we already have a shop here in the shop is a bit of a pain grumbling wizard nope never mind we're shield grumbling whenever you play a skill gain one whiz whenever you play an attack apply one weak doll targets whatever play attack three damage center random enemy two temp strength when attack uh play a skill game to block well oh my god hold on we can see all the gremlins they're in in in the corner there's a special effect that's cute not so cute uh let's think to the wizard yeah deck is being incredibly unkind today that's all right so each or gremlins has different effects and they all have different health bars i wonder how we heal i want to swap to [Music] mad gremlin game five temp hp swap to fat gremlin add two wards to your hand swap to shield gremlin you have three stacks of whiz all attacks will technical consumer stacks deal 10 plus damage huh five temp hp that's like a better block [Music] this is like a million blocks let me try the bulk up all right [Music] okay we got it oh okay love love to praise it love that helix we can afford to become regret because we are about to do a shop um max hp up is that oh god how does max hp up work is that only the gremlin i'm on they can't be all gremlins it's got to be only one gremlin but how does it choose which gremlin um but what's in the box what if the box is plus hp right um will it split one to all it could be that um i guess i'm willing to hit the plus 5 max hp ah all right plus one to all you share the donuts all right we gotta fight our buddy here um we want do you want to go to sneaky grumbling [Music] okay because the idea is we want to go as heavily over as we can cam uh we want to go dance okay we're on the correct gremlin then they're gonna soul steal [Music] just to gain strength okay so we didn't get a lot of damage here because we're early but we got that's a lot better than usual damage here on shop one whoa [Music] double barrier whenever you play card things you block sure let us twist the knife all right sacrifice right remember we have these cards what the hell if you have strength it's the dumbest thing in the universe we also twist the knife you cannot lose strength is this any good i mean i guess with the temp strength right that's the idea is that you use it with temp off the fury goblin there's an orey card removal you put a boss card in the deck yeah i'm not [Music] sold on this right now that i wasn't sold on that either but i actually think this card's very strong so that was me every once in a while when i right click it'll do that that's okay i don't mind g3 whiz i don't want another twist the knife it's really annoying that that happens with the right click i don't know what causes that but okay what are we switching to right away okay today's goblin is we're the wiz um i want to go into bulk up now we're okay now we're going to oh boy this is going to be rude check this out whenever you play an attack weak all targets so [Music] um we want to go [Music] swap the shield gremlin and then full block all targets yeah i guess all targets of the attack not all all targets i was expecting that to be different as well but sadly uh okay we're not taking damage yet okay hopefully we can kill this with two attacks next turn and then things kind of get easier from here we still have our buffer left ooh throw the knife isn't enough i will shiv you okay so we're gonna take oh no we're actually gonna take nine here oh that's tragedy that's very bad because the buffer was very poorly timed uh okay we wanna okay there we go i mean going to one there was just the the worst choice sadly um um [Music] okay so if i go and swap see if we can't kill this way hope we don't lose a gremlin that'd be tragedy i don't want to lose a gremlin um okay still have a lot of dazes yeah we're all the gremlins they all have health totals they all take hits independently whoever's in the front takes all the hits um you want to [Music] finally get you off the table [Music] and block all right now i think we're flying okay we made it out of that fight only taking a little bit of damage on defense gremlin that's okay i guess we're gonna take a little bit of a hit on our front ground our front gremlin as well not great but what can you do okay very slow fight we don't have a lot of attacks yet let me use this gremlin more okay whenever you apply weak gain one whiz up to three times per turn oh so the whiz oh oh my dlt damage all enemies three damage enemies two times it's like a bad fan of knives or whatever this one swaps to the next gremlin which can be used so it's also zero which is take that all right what's in our chest we have a bunch of elites coming up let's take the 25 off them puny graham give soul oh my god puny graham give soul [Laughter] we had 38 that's worth buying the fight draw a card for each living gremlin discard three cards consume always to resurrect a random gremlin kind of like this [Music] that's a fun no [ __ ] okay who's in front right now um i want to swap [Music] i think reserve insects just brought this one down to 300. i wonder if that bring them up i'm saving this potion for a bigger fight okay um we're just gonna defend yes [Music] i don't have any souls to steal you get your strength up though that's a pain um i think it's stinky grandmother [Music] we got good damage there again this is act one damage so okay sure hmm whenever you gain strength no my pecs hold on heart please okay it's fine why don't you apply a debuff to an enemy game two temp hp oh my goodness with all the week we have turn oh that makes this very nice damage all hate to you um you're on the skill liker what if i patsy block and then we're going to sneak over to stevie gremlin all right man well the difference is i didn't know that relic existed so it's like oh i did who knew that the torso was real none of us oh maybe some of us not i though okay let's get some free damage and then hopefully we can just kill i even have a buffer i can't lose any hp in this fight yeah it's impossible anyway that went well [Music] okay all right this makes up for the oh to grip hey random assortment now we got the the ah the [Music] that should be two hp for each gremlin yep i have two encores now i feel like this upgrade is pretty big because this gives us an immediate artifact on play [Music] which makes that card a lot sneaky gremlin who makes this card draw too oh that was ordering right that card falls that's fine um let's go ahead and use our drink and then nice nice nice nut yeah plus one for each gremlin that's actually wow that's way stronger right now that's five hp all right just three like three tanks chango whenever you would gain block this turn instead deal that much damage to enemies sure [Music] i think i'm fine buying the kunai soulburn is like play like a buildup poison after three turns it explodes we our fights generally don't go long enough that i care about it i'll hold this last 108. and we have we're building up hp on the gremlins we'll pocket a power potion and call it good hello again [Music] eighteen on one all right you're gonna come out the gates that's fine i know how to come out the gates tet swingin too all right what grandma what am i on i'm on blocky gremlin um we want to go [Music] [Music] ooh is odd this attack does not consume whiz twist the knife all right um anything that looks like a cool upgrade for us the pinprick flex becomes flex plus as we expect it to be um pinprick is like a draw to kind of like that that makes our like combo turns stronger yeah we should be able to recruit recruit a gremlin all right who's our lead gremlin today all right we are flexing and i do not have a way to swap gremlin but we can dance flex flex dance dance dance dance mind blast [Music] deal three additional damage to weakened enemies [Music] that's nifty all right today's gremlin is whiz on skills so [Music] then is attack so whiz [Music] swap to next gremlin put you on the ground mind blast targeting you [Music] anyway that's turn one we this deck is very silly because like our deck feels like a very random assortment of cards but it somehow just works [Music] take the hv here all right what are we doing mushrooms all right we're starting a week in gremlin okay so let's go apply the weak toe stub [Music] [Music] and then i think we just gremlin arms a million times [Music] plus three strengths well under 50 percent there's our block for the turn okay [Music] um we're going to slop over to [Music] believe how much decks we're gaining gremlins and grumbles too that's a hard question also thanks to the sub number and they're such different beasts gremlins and gremlins too you know [Music] um 200 on turn one okay we'll buffer the hit ruled i really like like it feels a little fiddly with like five different gremlins and like you get a different one every fight but like i like the options available in all the kremlins there's defense gremlin there's strength gremlin there's offense gremlin there's weak and gremlin and then there's like uh charge up gremlin and they're all really like they all play a different purpose and that's cool all right i see bets are in and it's time to hit the button here's the thing you start taking any damage things about super fast yeah the moment gremlins fall off i can see this becoming
