I love simukyoto direct drive wheels and for years my SC2 Pro have been my personal Benchmark for force feedback but this Alpha ultimates from symmetric is better than I expected over and over again about the awesome simulcute tool line and for me personally was noticeable upgrade over my SEMO cup one and did it too in terms of smoothness with as less filters as possible for maximum speed of the inputs and I never let a friend who was able to afford one and a half K to take anything else but simokyoto and too often think later for that decision I also read hundreds of comments from other people who move from other direct drive systems and most of them felt just like me first time in the last three years after testing so many bases I felt real competition in the face of Battle of ultimate don't take that video as a review but I won't call it first impression neither as I pushed this base the last four weeks and I have done many official races and tons of practice sessions I will compare my experience foreign and if you drive any older soon I guess you have to wait as all those tests I have to perform will take weeks also force feedback is very subjective mother and sometimes we like totally different experiences so I will try to explain what I personally expect from wheelbase and if that is different from your expectations just totally ignore that video because there are settings which can make all the bases indistinguishable from one another and at the end it won't really matter which one it will not drive because I'm very competitive personality the first and most important thing for me is the performance I will never sacrifice speed for smoothness and when three thousands of the seconds feels like I'm whopped every little detail matters I want to know and feel instantly the exact edge of the grip to be able to break corner and exit on the absolute limit of the tears because race driving is much more than break turn and accelerate and is all about the perfect timing between all those different inputs to create little more grip on the front or a little less on the rear to rotate the car for earlier exit I need this instant and detailed feedback as possible I don't know how it works for others but let me share with you what realism is for my brain after driving one force feedback for more than 15 years and having many years experience with racing Carson's legs my brain doesn't care anymore from when it takes the information from my body or my hands even if those two experiences are totally different and go is to keep the car on the absolute limits and as long as they get proper and instant information through my body and the real car or through my hands from the first feedback my brain doesn't care anymore from which senses the information comes from and that is probably the reason why I'm so convinced Sim racing is so realistic those days that being said most of the filters in any database ever tested slows down the first feedback reaction or kill the details of the road surface and I always try to go as low as possible before the experience become unpleasant and simulated to us the base which did the best job in those settings from any other basis I ever tested I always run minimal friction and dumping filters which fight against the force feedback and minimal smoothness filters which need longer processing time and slow the reaction time of the back I've heard once those differences are so minimal my brain cannot detect them well the what time counter does something like few milliseconds may not be that detectable but when we try to find our personal limits few milliseconds turns into 50 000 at the end of the lab and that can be between win and lose I feel that anyway first feedback we'll always have some delay and I feel that every time I jump in real car that's the main reason I always try to minimize those filters so if I create some picture for you how and why I use those settings let me tell you how the symmetrical for ultimate compared to my all-time favorite Simon cup top Pro on paper they look a bit different with the Simon crypto Pro Bank 25 Newton meters and the Sim magic 23 but in my personal opinion anything above 20 is overkill anyway the simulcoup also have 4 million plus count per Revolution and color reversals 260k for the alpha Euro and that was the main selling point over the years of all direct drive wheels and watching the specs side by side Must Destroy that out for you but that is not the case at all first the settings out of the box on the same magic are not exactly what I want but with little Common Sense from the first tweak I got exactly what I need after driving the ultimate the last four weeks and many races and tons of practices the last two days I moved back and forth many times between the SC2 and the ultimate trying to find some differences and I have to say those are like twins and those low filter settings they both felt equally fast and responsive with very subtle impression and little noise of the force feedback they read the curbs the bumps with the same intensity and in Long Corners the edge of the grip is very pronounced and I can easily stay around those limits I'm not talking about catching slides as that is easy for any direct drive will I'm talking about the thin line of the limits of the gray grip which help us to extract the maximum of the tires also symmetry have one very interesting filter called interpolation level which of sample the low quality force feedback signal and once I set that to Max those subtle vibration on the motor totally disappear without any loss of Road texture or speed maxing out the interpolation filter on smoothness level one we all felt absolutely smooth without any loss of details and to achieve that with my sim Cube I have to go way up on the Reconstruction filter which is something I want to avoid at all cost my personal like or force feedback power is around 10 11 Newton meter for racing and I use up to 15 only if I learn new track or car in the first few practice sessions and in those Peaks both of the bases better change any temperature in the next test I wanted to see how much torque they can produce before clipping the force feedback signal and this won't be scientific as the eye racing sliders doesn't work properly and if I set for example Max torque of 23 Newton meter on the slider feels weaker than 18 for example so in that test I had to trust my own senses and set both wheels on maximum power just before clipping the signal again even if the single Cube 2 Pro have more power on paper on maximum torques just before clipping to me they felt the same both bases those maximum torques are way too much for my personal leg and in both cases I had to fight hard to speak switch slows my times down but for the sick of the experiment they felt the same and both bases got noticeably warm but never lost power for ACC and Automobiles to those settings makes bug bass is unpleasant with a lot of noise and vibration and I had to go at least five phones simoco pre-construction filter and 5 on the smoothness for the alpha ultimate which is not ideal for me personally but I guess that's how those titles runs and that's the case for all the different brands I ever tested usually all different wheel bases from the different brands feels slightly different in the way they deliver the first feedback and some are more muted from Road texture and curbs than others and for me the simul cube was The More Alive particularly in high racing and some of those more pronounced spikes were always very important part for me to understand better the track as I've said before first feedback is very subjective mother and I personally love every single base I ever tested and of course I had my favorite in the face of the simukip2 pro and now the alpha ultimate is the first one which is absolutely indistinguishable and with that interpolation level filter which totally clean all the noises of the force feedback in those harsh settings is really enjoyable for eye racing particularly I know there will be many questions which way to go some Cube or some magic and I can give you that answer I put my head for simokyo for so many years I push it through the hill and never had single problem but I will personally stick with the offer you and my simple cup will take some break my favorite Sim is eye racing and I prefer just click better the Sim magic feeling but that is very minor difference the real reason I want to stick with this one is I really love those new wheels and the same time I prefer using the entire ecosystem through single USB and single software and I can still use my other Wheels another main reason is I really want to see it close the evolution of that ecosystem and hopefully in the future I can my head for those products as I do for simult cube right now in my opinion in the high-end specs I feel so magic though the best job with a very reasonable prices most are great too but some magic products feels just a bit more Polished in terms of features and details I have also camos here to test which is the most but get powerful DD wheel and I believe all those systems have place in the market but as I've said the alpha hero is the most pleasant surprise I had for years of course having all those systems around I will keep you up to speed with the revolution but first I need to test this monster in as many Sim titles as possible before make full review
