sometimes gun companies take something that's really tiny and make it extra large and tiny which is the case here with the 365 xl let's check it out all righty hold on to your butts [Music] all right guys welcome back no more dad humor okay this is eric with iraq veteran 888 all right this is a really cool pistol and when i saw that these had come out i'd really been wanting one for quite some time and i finally was able to pick one up and we'll talk about this gun of course as we go here definitely want to take a moment to thank the folks at big daddy unlimited for keeping us well stocked and everything we need to make videos super helpful the covet stuff has really put a pinch on availability and that's unfortunate but they've stepped forward to really help and make sure we have what we need to get videos out for you guys alright so you know that the 365 has kind of gone through some trials and tribulations right man this one brandy's gun is super super smooth and broken because we've shot this particular one over 2 000 rounds that's a lot of rounds for a compact carry gun okay um the 365 has not been without its teething issues as you guys know if you followed uh you know tim at military arms channel mike over at mr guns and gear many of other you know great channels that we of course follow as well and these people are friends of ours right good guys you know yeah some early issues um sig has worked out many of those issues and from all the reports i can see plus what we have personally witnessed from lots of testing with the original 365 is that all of those minor teething issues have been relieved and everything is good to go now this is brandy's carry gun this is a standard 365. what you get with the 365 xl of course is a longer slide you have a longer grip with a bit of a flared mag well to help those mag changes you also have a slide rider plate so if you want to run a you know pistol uh mounted optic you can certainly do that and one departure that they made on the siding arrangement as well is it actually retains the m17 m18 style of sights that are very big and robust and burly and it just looks like you could throw it across the room and drive a nail with it if you needed to and it probably wouldn't hurt the gun at all which i definitely like that vac quite a bit uh it is considerably larger than the 365 in terms of the footprint but but not that much bigger okay there is a slightly extended beaver tail on the back compared to the standard 365. i personally probably would have liked to see this have the same exact profile as the original 365 just to keep that low profile the 365 is an excellent appendix carry pistol it's also a great inside the waistband holster pistol because compared to something like a glock 19 or even some of the single stacks on the market the 365 holds its own against a wide variety of different competitors by offering a double stack and an extremely tiny frame okay now one minor detractor and it's not a huge detractor but one tiny detractor is that the 365 can accept a flat base 10 shot magazine whereby the xl cannot because of the larger frame so the the smallest capacity mag that you can get in the 365 is going to be a 12 shot with a flush fit plate now of course the 12 and 15 shot mags will work in the original 365 no problem they'll just protrude out of the bottom more than normal we have a 15-shot magazine that we use there in the intro that of course just like the m17 and m18 series has a very non-obtrusive but functional uh grip extension that protrudes out of the base of the pistol i'm going to shoot the gun a little bit more there's some other features that we'll discuss as we go i love the stippling on the grip it's very very simple or you know the texture on the grip okay flat base 12 shot magazine this is a norma 115 grain range ammo all right okay let's have some fun i'm shooting pretty fast there not bad interesting component too is the different trigger bow that is on the xl series the x-series trigger all right the gun is empty we don't have a magazine in the pistol but we can see that as i pull the trigger to the rear the break of the trigger is at a perfect 90 degree angle and you also get a lot better leverage on the trigger so we see as where the trigger is breaking is at a really good 90 degree angle versus the trigger on the 365 as a traditional curved trigger bow which is not a problem it's a little bit snappier and you don't get quite as good of leverage so having the extra leverage on the 365 xl trigger might be something that's good for some of you all right we're going to test out some carry loads this is some spear gold dot 147 grain standard pressure a lot of the stuff that we see with compact carry guns is we always get really really good accuracy out of the heavier pills that group there that i just shot i'm just kind of wrapping them out but definitely not as tight as the heavier pills all right 12 shot mag we're about 20 yards away this is kind of far but i'm just gonna shoot a few see how they do and of course we're testing for function as well make sure the hollow points run in it always test your load ah that's probably about as good as i'm going to be able to shoot a tiny gun like this it is a itty-bitty little gun it's very snappy um one thing too that some people may not like about the 365 is that it is a very compact gun extremely compact um double stack pistol and um you know it is snappy okay just like especially that we mentioned in the 365 video the recoil impulse is a little on the snappy side but you know there's no such thing as a free lunch in physics right so if you're going to deal with a super compact gun you're going to have to deal with a little bit snappier you know appeal to it but man what a pistol all right federal 150 grain semtech action pistol out of a 15 round magazine again i really love the heavies and these types of guns it seems like they they shoot better for me anyway i just find that they work well all right let's see if they'll run these are subs yeah very very good uh inherit accuracy potential there out of the 150s all right 12 shot box with the flush fit soda geyser that's cool and you really got to hang on to this little guy definitely snappy okay all right couple more carry loads more 147 grain spear gold dot now uh i haven't mounted an optic to this pistol yet we may revisit some of these pistols i know we've got a video on the m17 we got a video coming up on the m18 and all of those have the slide riding component in terms of the cut for optics we'll revisit those they are night sights that are installed on this gun from the factory so these guns are maybe a little pricey compared to some of the other compact offerings that are out there you can buy a single stack shield for about half the money that one of these costs but to be fair you do have the slide riding component the gun does come with i believe three magazines came with my particular pistol if i'm not mistaken hopefully i'm not wrong there and then also night sights which is really really handy to have night sights from the factory and everything be good to go so good stuff all right 147 grain spear gold dot i do find that i i do prefer the flaring on the mag well helps the magazine you know find its way into the pistol a lot better all right let's try the 147s out again maybe a couple i don't know how long i'll be able to shoot this thing in terms of distance but um those little 147s a snappy i would probably consider this gun best suited as like a 20 yards an end personal defense edc i mean this this pistol certainly is going to excel in that edc category because it's just such a compact setup uh the longer slide does give you a little bit better sight radius a little bit higher velocity uh than running the shorter barrel which is always cool uh the trigger x trigger is definitely a nice uh welcome upgrade and as this gun gets more rounds through it it's gonna break in really nice like brandy's gun i mean her gun is super super smooth because man after two 000 rounds of ammo the thing is just butter smooth this one not quite in that territory just yet but man what a fantastic pistol i mean as double stacks go probably one of the most compact double stack pistols that you're gonna find all right good stuff yeah yeah like it and that's just wrapping them out i'm not really trying to go crazy i'm just kind of looking through the sights you know 15 shot 115 grain uh norma all right [Applause] [Music] yep i would not hesitate one tiny bit protecting myself with this gun inside of 25 yards no problem maybe even further i mean some of the 35 50 yard you know an out shot a little bit harder to make you know it is a tiny snappy little gun and that front sight is rather large i know that some of you guys are uh what do they call those x x s dot sights i'm sure you guys have seen them big old huge dot some of you guys are big front sight people and that's cool i personally prefer a little bit smaller front sight post but for up close and in personal defense they're on top of you personal protection this is a fantastic pistol totally worthy of uh of being liked and it's just great okay more norma and of course we haven't had a single issue or hiccup or anything uh all day which i sort of expected that going into this yeah look i'm gonna tell you right now if they're right on top of you that this thing absolutely pits the ace it is a fantastic pistol i i could not be happier with this handgun really cool stuff all right all right every video we've come to our portion of the video where this is the knife of the day okay so let's break into it i figured you know sleek small low profile edgy all right modular okay microtech this one is the utx 85 85 of the size of a standard full size ultra tech this one's got the dlc coated blade which is really nice too you can't go wrong with the micro tech so we thought we would pair this one up and oddly enough i have full size microtech as well so you could pair the uh the 85 model with the little gun and then the full size model with the full-size gun but i thought the microtech would be a nice pairing sleek low profile non-obtrusive fits in your pocket nice and easy super easy and sleek easy to use you got the glass breaker on there in case you need to bust a windshield or whatever the heck you need to do really cool stuff i thought that'd be a nice pairing with the 365 right there really cool stuff guys thank you so much for
