SHOT Show 2019: BLK LBL Bipod

alright Carl there's one thing that I really like that is integrated bipod no I agree with you on that the problem is the implementation of that has generally been challenging yes or flawed most integrated bipod TCE are fixed this thing is not this is Black Label bipod and we found up here in like the introductory for the chief demo booths for the section of jock show so commonly the innovation of Chacho is in the less expensive booth areas right so this is a company out of Calgary their website is Black Label bipod with no mouth blk LBL pipe on and what they've got is bipod legs integrated into a standard AR handguard they've got rotation they've got I should have gotten all my terms right no tilt and pan and adjustable length yep there's a little lever here that gives you a jump double length on each side and then you can plant it all the way and there's a button on the side you push and then that closes up so it's nicely away into your handlers worth pointing out because these lock in place you can load it into the bipod you can push into it you can pull back against its and the bug house it has a locking lever in there oh yeah look at that that is like so one of the things you do is you can actually use this on a barricade to see for fish you know position deploy your bipod put it up against the brace and then push into it or when you're on the ground you can push into it or pull back and that gives you the stability some bike locks wobble all right and this is clearly pretty good quite tight it also has a tensioner right here that you use integrated into the actual handguard that allows you to add or apply or remove tension from the bipod swivel up until so they have three different lengths without 16 of 14 and at 11 this is in fact on the 11 here it's too short to have that tension okay there are some things I don't like about this so much it's a fairly heavy unit which okay you know like initially I looked at this from what the stoner dude oh yes but it's really too heavy for that this is beyond our way however when I think about the lage five five six open ball getting guns that use standard a are hand guards that's what I'm really excited about this or any light machine gun application the m27 IAR there are em lock points so you can put accessories on it so you're not completely out of that game and you've got Picatinny rail on the top and you've got sling attachment points as well yeah so I mean this so I would like to see them get rid of this this is just decorative inventing this ought to be more M block yeah it'd be cool if they did the whole thing out of carbon fiber the rail up top is removable like if we were if we wanted a lovely stone to do version of this I think we want to get rid of the Picatinny and just have an lock on the top like our carbon fiber facts on here debatable but yes it would reduce the weight it would but you do have him walk all around the front including at the bottom yeah it's a free float system yeah this really addresses so much of what you wonder if I plus plus once it's folded away it's literally gone exact it is out of the way they have it both soft rubber feet and also spiky feet okay both of these have a soft rubber bugs the other downside to this is their price point here okay like 500 bucks retail all right they don't like they said to buy one go to their website black label by Broadcom it doesn't really seem like they have much in the way of distribution they said they sell directly to a few retailers but they don't have any distribution this might be difficult to get but I think for a couple of applications it's worth the effort to try and find one it would explain why we haven't heard of it exactly now it like it's like you said in terms of weight this is questionable for what what's donor however remember when you make a lighter gun sometimes you can add weight for benefits that you may want right this may be one of those benefits like a bipod is an incredible shooting implement in terms of at you know aiding speed and accuracy we know that we saw with the FAMAS we see with any bipod exactly meant the Bible has deployed man you are on target much better but you know compared to all the bipods we've looked at for the stoner carbines this has enough flexibility and movement to be able to shoot well but it's not so all that the problem we've always had is by pods that like rotate 45 degrees and then the rifle yes yes yes this won't do that it doesn't have that much flexibility to it and it's two plates well it well it's too tight to fall over yeah and even when it's all the way loose you know what I'm really like you know it's an issue question I don't know the math we can't do this on the video now but there are too many numbers to Jill I was like if you were to take our standard we put on my Harris which I gave up and just put it the Arizona yeah you add the weight of the Harris plus the white the carbon-fiber closest how does it equate to the weight of this with the bipod on it maybe I should do the math on that later well I can guarantee you we're gonna be getting one of these to do some more experimentation so there will be content coming but this is one of those cool little products that is sneaking around in the background to Chacho yeah we like it when they excuse me we like it when we can find the neat neat stuff like this you

Was interested until they said $500($625-$725 CAD just went to the website). Better be damn good quality for the price. Love the design though.

Super Gucci design. Little too expensive for my taste, but if it's successful maybe they'll make a lower priced model.

I got a chance to handle their products at Meaford and really loved the design and benefits. Price wise, I'm probably the only one who's gonna say it's priced accordingly. It really feels solid and when you use it and does its job well.

My only problem is that the bipod isn't mounted as forward as I wish for prone shooting and doesn't offer as many features as the (now sold by MDT) Ckye Bipod. BUT, if the bipod offered those features, it would probably go against the main goal of this bipod and would add too much weight.

Awesome idea, but too expensive for my wallet. Not to say that they’re overpriced, making a new product isn’t cheap - hopefully the price will come down in the future
