[Music] hi everyone this is anna from all diy crafts and i'm going to be doing a dolphin sea glass resin in a photo frame these were on sell at michael's um with the coupon so the 20 off like there was like it was like three for 15 dollars plus 20 off so i would get to michael's use your coupon and use in to do this and they have different color frames it could be white it could be gray and it can be the walnut color so the first thing i'm going to do is i'm going to go ahead and take apart this frame and then we'll get to step two you for the next step you will need a silhouette so basically i drew this just with a sharpie and and a dry erase pen so let's let me go ahead and get this off and we'll be right back okay so for this next step we have the glass out so you can see it moves up pretty easily um these little things have come up and that's fine we can get those out or depending on how big your your frame goes you can just keep it in and you can push it down and it still won't be seen but we need to keep the glass into the frame at least this is the way i do it there's other ways to do this but this is my preferred way of doing it you can do two things and i've done both you can get a glue gun and what i do is i will go around the edge here and it kind of makes sure that the glass stays into the frame the other thing that you can do is to get the e6000 and the reason i'm going to do the e6000 on this one is because this is a real thin lip here and so it'll show less i think because on the glue gun you know sometimes it's it'll put a big glob down and i'm not that coordinated with the glue gun so i'm going to use the e6000 and basically what i'm going to do is i'm just going to go around and i'm just kind of making sure that it also provides a seal in case any resin seeps through so we'll keep the glass in place it's hidden behind the lip right there it's not touching those clips which we can pull out later if you want and i think i'm going to keep mine in because i put it down and it actually looked okay if you get any on the glass you just take a q-tip and you can take it out if you get any on the glass and you forget or you don't notice until it's already dry then depending on your design you may be able to if you can't get it off um you can go ahead and maybe put your design over that part so it's hidden anyway so what we're going to do is we're going all the way around and it's a nice generous line there but it's also hidden and if you see that you've missed any spots you might want to just make sure that you fill that in and always pull away from the glass so if you see like there's just a little dab spot then you're just gonna i run i run a q-tip through there so that it kind of gets into the little crevices and this should dry clear so even if you aren't the most perfect with your line like me it's okay okay so we're going to wait for that to dry and then what i'm going to do is i'm going to position my dolphin on this side um i'm sorry on on this side let me show you this is wet so i have to be careful okay and i'm going to make sure i know exactly where i want my dolphin to be because i'm still going to do some water and i'm going to do a little bit of sand down here and then what i'm going to do is i'm going to trace it with the wrong side up with my dry erase marker and the reason we're going to do that is obviously because it'll wipe right down so what i'm going to do is i'm going to i'm going to first of all i'm going to clean this with some windex both sides put it down if you get any smudge marks on the wrong side no problem you can clean it off later again and what you're going to do is you're going to trace i think i can show you a little bit here just make sure this doesn't move and it's going to be a very light trace but it'll help you stay where you need to be and i don't want to lift this up to show you just yet it's going to be very light very fine and then you're going to just wipe it down when you're done but at least you have your basic idea of where you want your whatever whatever you're doing just make sure it's like a line art and very easy we're then we have some shells here we have our stones our sea glass and that's extra glue sticks and then we're going to go ahead and create a design we're going to wait for this to dry first and we'll be back okay so this is now pretty dry and we're going to go ahead and move our dolphin picture out of there and now you can you can maybe see the outline what i usually do at this point is this is the picture that was inside the frame i'm going to flip it over now the whole reason we do it on the wrong side up is because we're going to put our sea glass on this side and we want everything on the side and then we can go ahead and we can just wipe down the dry erase marker so what i do is i take this and i flip it over like this we're just going to recycle it so that we can see we have to be careful though because remember this is a dry erase and so what will happen is if you rub it around you're going to erase your design okay so just gel and you can see i rubbed off a little bit of the the nose there but so i have my design here and it doesn't matter that's going down here a little bit that's fine i just need to be able to see this design and be careful doing it so it didn't smudge off so the next thing we're going to do is we're going to get our epoxy okay so i'm going to go ahead i'm going to mix about i'm using art resin and a link to everything i'm using um is in the bottom in the description i'm using art reggie i'm using about 40 ml so 20 part a and 20 of part b [Music] my [Music] to [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] do [Music] so [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so [Music] so [Music] so [Music] [Music] [Music] so so [Music] okay so here we go it's been dry now for probably about four or five hours and here's what it looks like i'll put a picture out in the sun now you'll notice there's a pink outline and what you're gonna do is you can just take a cloth and you're gonna just wipe it down and it disappears and it's gone and there you go so we'll take some pictures and there's your project i hope you enjoyed this please like and subscribe and we'll see you for some more fun diy crafts [Music] you
