Saying Goodbye

[Music] hey everyone we know you've seen our fourth of july video because we posted it on the fourth but this is actually what took place on the day of the fourth we're in our backyard we've got family over and we are enjoying a little barbecue we had tri-tip ribs casserole salads and just hanging out visiting this fourth of july is different than any other fourth of july that we've probably been to in the last 30 years and that we don't have a rodeo to go to but uh this pace is okay as well we're we're just enjoying being with our family today hope that you guys are having a great fourth of july wherever you're at or that you did have i should say good it's really good have you tried the red not yet okay first things first what um that [Music] it sounds like beer broth it smells like beer smells like beer right now [Music] we need more ribs oh yeah we need more ribs because the tri-tip is gone look at that i gotta get me a piece four leaves here your tri-tip's gone there you want that that hit and it's gone here all right let's get some more rib drop [Music] all right amy we're both having a hard day it's time to say goodbye to moon we've done everything we can there's just too much tendon and ligament damage and so we're gonna have to let our friend go as much as we want to keep him here he just we've talked to some vets and yeah it's we're headed right now to the vets so we're gonna say our goodbyes we just can't stand to see him go through the pain that he's been going through every single day so we've got a shot of beauty here for him so the trip will be easier when you uh when you love your animals like we do whether they're cattle or horses or whatever you're raising and we know how a lot of you are out there with your animals it's a little bit tough to tell them goodbye and i know we're gonna have some people in the comments wonder why we didn't try to do more to saving you know the reality of it is there's there's just no there's just no healing that's gonna take place on that foot the way that it is a break would be easier to heal than the tendon and the ligament and the nerve damage that he has and we've had x-rays taken we've had as amy said we've had several vets look at him and i talked to vet yesterday and he he he agreed with me said it was probably time to let him go so we feel like this is the absolute most humane thing that we can do for him is to uh end his suffering we've had lots of people um that have given us advice and helped us john and jamie some other people that have really helped us at you on the vlog and it's just realities of life so anyway i guess it might make it a little bit easier he's uh i don't know what it equates to in man years but he's he's we looked on his papers he's 21 years old um you know none of us are going to live forever nothing lives forever so i guess it's just kind of a tough way for him to be able to go and so we've just decided that we're gonna let it be taken care of today and and uh give him a little relief ready okay [Music] [Music] [Music] so hey [Music] oh are you protesting huh i've never seen him act like that have you not really i think he's missing him already he knows come here [Music] [Music] ah
