Today I will be making rotis. Rotis are made several different ways. I will make whole wheat plain roti. They are very delicious and very healthy. The recipe I am making will make 4 rotis. So I will use 1/2 cup of flour. And pinch of salt. Mix it. And put 1/2 cup of luke warm water. And just make a soft dough. Now this dough seems ready. It should be soft. So I will take just couple of drops of oil on my hands and right here. So it's easier for me and it doesn't stick to my fingers. It's good to make the dough about 5-10 minutes before. If you are using the real whole wheat flour if you make it very early then it changes the color. So my dough is ready. Now I am going to divide this into 4 parts. And roll between my two palms into smooth balls. My balls are ready and I will start rolling them. To roll it I need some flour. It makes it easier to roll. And I already have my skillet on medium high I like to use the iron skillet because roti comes out much better. Rolling is little bit hard but with little practice you can roll them. So this is about 5 inch diameter. And you can see the thickness of it. To see if my skillet is ready, I am going to just put couple of drops of water. If they sizzle slowly then my skillet is done. And I am going to put my roti over. And wait till it starts changing the color little bit. And I use the spatula to make the rotis. So you can just lift it little bit and see if it has brown spots. Right now it is not. So wait for few more seconds. And you can see the bubbles coming on the top so this is the another way you know that it is ready to turn. So i am going to use the spatula to turn the rotis. And you can see these brown golden spots. Now we should be able to see the same thing on the other side. And you can see them. I am going to turn it again and just very light hand I am going to go around. And it will puff up. That's how roti should puff up. And just turn it and see how it looks other side. And this is ready. Now I am going to put just little ghee or clear butter. And it is ready to serve. If somebody is eating hot otherwise you can put it in the pan while you are making the other rotis. Now this is my last roti. So keep rolling it, not hard by he time you roll your 4th roti you will have enough practice. And it's ok if you have to put flour more than one time to roll it. And here it goes and just wait. You will see the color changing and it start bubbling it. So as you see, bubbles start coming up. It's time to turn. Time to turn again. And just with the very soft hands. Just go around and roti is ready. So rotis are ready. And my son is waiting for his dinner. I hope you will try this. And thank you for watching my video. And I will see you soon with the different recipe. Thank you.
