ramesh has got his second book out ladies and gentlemen um it's called as good as it gets and this you're giving out life lessons life lessons from a reluctant adult but it kind of makes sense because first of all i thought what why would he do this but then what do you mean you thought why would you do that because you being you why would anyone want advice from you you know what i'm saying but then what do you mean by that well because i've got no embarrassment i've said this because you come across and you talk about yourself as you're like essentially a massive loser right now can i say that i have never used the words massive loser that's come straight from you you know what i'm saying though i know what you're saying and i'm offended i'm essentially paraphrasing your life right for you because you're talking about the way you're the one you know you're not you're clearly not no but but you'll write yourself out you're right no but but no but genuinely i do you know the truth is this the book is i just feel like i'm pretending to be all of the things i'm supposed to be pretending to be a comedian pretending to be a father pretending to be a husband and and and you know you you look you look at other people doing stuff and i i would go to like i'd go out with my family and i'd look at other dads and i'd think are they pretending like you know well that's what that's what you know they're all acting but that's what i mean but so i'm sort of watching going these you know when you watch people you think you look like you've got it all together you like you you were born to do this i just don't feel like that's inside no they're all like you inside oh thank you yeah i have to pinch myself all the time to actually go i'm here i'm in the real space and i'm a mom and i'm well that feels like you sort of you've got a serious problem i need some help you have to bring yourself back into the room but i mean i i just i'll be honest with you i find it you know that the whole thing with the book was like i just don't know what i'm doing and so the the kind of the thing i thought was i want to write a book that's inspirational because when you read it you think thank god i'm not him do you mean that that's kind of that's kind of where the book is coming from because i just i haven't got a clue man i'm very honest yes and i think the thing is is that people feel like they have to present themselves as good parents and have to present themselves as as knowing what they're doing and stuff and i just don't think any of us doing i've been very honest with my kids in the past you know there's been times when i've told my son off i've had a go at my son about something and then when i thought about it later on i thought i was actually out of order i've overreacted there i haven't really got that right what well um like you know i i i remember you know sometimes when i i would joke around with my kids and then what you don't realize is when you joke around with them they have they they're getting the message that that's okay right so i this is really this actually this is actually paint's been quite a bad light but i i i said to i said to my son as a joke oh you've been a bit of a mate yeah and and a laughter bad i said and he went oh my god you can't say so many joking i'm really joking and then about a week later he said to me you've been a bit of a mate and yeah and and i lost it i mean you can't call your dad a flipped out and then later on i thought hold on i've taught him that it's okay to say that so so then i went to see him and i said uh listen um the truth is uh i i don't really know what i'm doing you know this this is this is told your son yeah you didn't know how to be this way i said so i said to him look i said look i'm not i said to him i am sort of learning as i go i said so i'm not entirely sure all the time that i'm doing the right thing i said i thought i was doing the right thing but now i've realized that because i used that word you thought it was all right to use that word to me i said you didn't do anything wrong i was in the wrong so i'm just apologizing i got daddy incorrect in that instance yeah but how did he take it uh we just well he keeps saying [Music] you
