Robert Madu "I've Seen This Before"

[Music] anybody ready for God's Word today I'll come on would you stand for the reading of God's Word because if you feel like hearing it like I feel like preaching it it's gonna be good I want to look at the Gospel according to mark today mark chapter eight well like in verses 22 through 26 and this is a message that I actually shared at social Night and this will be the last commercial but next social night is next Sunday at 6 p.m. at the Granada Theater on Greenville Avenue and if you hadn't had a chance to come out you should be a great time for you to double dip next Sunday just come to church in the morning go get you a nap and then come back Sunday night on Greenville Avenue or Granada theatres really is amazing and I think you'll love it but I'm gonna preach this with everything I got today mark chapter 8 will start a verse number 22 I always ask this do you like who you're standing next to okay cuz if you don't you could change your seat you have time I will give you that opportunity you don't want to be on the wrong road just make sure you're sittin next to the right person the mark chapter 8 we'll start at verse 22 when you're ready to read it say yeah you not ready say hold on alright was a half of a hold on come on a mark chapter two and look what it says starting verse 22 it says they came to Bethsaida and some people brought a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him he took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village and when he had spit on the man's eyes and put his hands on him this is unsanitary Jesus and Jesus asked do you see anything and he looked up and said I see people they look like trees walking around so once more Jesus put his hands on the man's eyes then his eyes were opened his sight was restored and he saw everything clearly Jesus sent him home saying don't even go into the village can you say Amen come on that is good and pretty interesting I want to preach today using a title see I don't want to say this a title that I would say if me and you were chillaxing at the house about to watch any pins in Washington movie okay one for any Denzel movie starts up and look at you and I would say my title and that is I've seen this before I'll see this before do me a favor and look at whichever maybe you like the best and just get in their face get in their personal space just say laver oh come on don't be afraid to talk to your neighbor at church come on say thank you bro I've seen this before okay now look at the other neighbor the one you completely ignored come on say other neighbor I'm telling you I've seen this before oh you got an expectation of a God to speak would you give us some praise in here today come on remain standing remain standard we're gonna pray that you can sit our base data let's pray let's pray father thank you for your word father I thank you that your word is a lamp unto our feet it is a light unto our path before let your word come across today with power let it give life let it give illumination or truly I'm asking that we would leave here different than the way that we came in and Lord because it is Sunday and you're a great God nothing is too big for you but nothing is too small for you so I humbly ask that you would help your team America's team to defeat the Washington Redskins today in Jesus name get the Cowboys the victory that everybody said hey bad you may be seated the presence of the Lord I'm not afraid to pray about it you have not because you ask not I've seen this before Church family my wife Taylor now we have three kids three little humans three reasons to have a real prayer life three distinctly different personalities and I affectionately call them the madhu crew there is Everly I call her Evie she is before she's my oldest there is Robert Madhu the third he is three he's my man child and then there is Remington Elaine who is two going on twenty and she is well she's my favorite she is my favorite I gotta be honest now some of you already mad at the beginning of the sermon she's like Oh Robert you cannot say that parents are not allowed to have favorite children I disagree I disagree because kids have favorite parents okay and my other two have made it blatantly obvious that the Obama is their favorite okay you know I really is my favorite because I'm her favorite all right my relationship with Remy is like our relationship with Jesus we love Him because He first loved us my four-year-old before your own Evie she's in a fun imaginative state right now everything used to be princess everything was Elsa Anna Mohana daddy I'm a princess she's now in a new imaginative phase where everything now is Supergirl okay she wants to be bad girl Supergirl she has superpowers and it's amazing and annoying at the same time okay cuz people how we'll be eating dinner in the middle of me eating dinner my four-year-old Eve you will walk in and go Daddy like Oh what because I just freeze your hand you can't eat anymore I'm like okay first of all it's froze grammar haha can you unfreeze my hand I want to finish my food okay unfreeze people Taylor and I will be in the middle of a conversation here comes easy I'm like what I just freezed your mouth you can't talk anymore daddy okay carry on their conversation unfreeze I'm watching the football game watch a football game and here comes easy it's always the same move how only powers are two fries she's like I'll just freeze your eyes and I almost told her to unfreeze and I was like hold up I'm gonna nap in right now I'm like no no I'm freeze keep it keep it frozen everything is superpowers and what makes my daughter's fake superpowers real is the fact that I comply like whatever she says to freeze I immediately do it and if you're honest that's really the power that every little kid has is their ability to make grown taxpaying adults play pretend again you realize that's their power people all I got to do to make anybody in this sanctuary look crazy it's just to bring in a little four-year-old girl with a pink plastic Barbie flip phone like I do to make you look crazy it's had that little girl hold up that phone and go hello or not yes for you and hand you that hoe I'll bet you answer that phone if you don't answer that phone you're crazy if you don't answer that a thug it's don't answer that phone that's the poor the kids have in fact recently we're on a daddy-daughter date and I took it to a whole nother level we're about to walk into the mall Evie and I and I see the automatic push button for the door and so before I get up I go Evie I wonder if your superpowers will open the door she's like you think I was like let's try it and as soon as Evie went I leaned on the button that automatically opens the door he looks at her hands like Peter Parker dear when he realized he was spider-man yes I say yep you got power you got power it was on a whole nother level the whole day was everything was freezing to the point I'm driving on i-75 on the way back home and she's like yeah I just freezed your hands I said Evie daddy's driving she's like I just freezed your hands and finally in frustration I said to my daughter Evie I think your powers are running out she goes they are I said yeah I said I think your superpowers are running out is that statement that I made to my daughter that really drew me to this text today because what makes this miracle and Mark chapter 8 not only profound but provocative what makes the healing of this blind man not only a mystery but an anomaly is because for the first time in the ministry of jesus christ somebody is touched by the only hands that can heal somebody is touched by the only hands that can set you free somebody is touched by the only hands that can deliver and after being touched by God this blind man seemingly says to Jesus Jesus I think your powers are running out because I mean I can see but it's not real clear like no disrespect I know you God but I think you glitch in because it's not really as clear as its supposed to be ladies and gentleman I am confused as to why this miracle is in the Bible like seriously why is this miracle here it's interesting to me that you will not find this miracle of Matthew you will not find it in Luke you will not find it in John only mark records this to touch miracle of Jesus and that is so marked because mark is the only dude that doesn't even record baby Jesus he just starts his gospel with full-grown Jesus this dude is so gangster he skips Christmas and go straight to full-grown Jesus leave it to mark to record the to touch miracle of Jesus where on the surface is same like Jesus missed the free-throw he missed the jump shot since when does Jesus take two touches to heal somebody if you're here today and you don't even acquiesce to the authority of Scripture and you basically believe the Bible is a conglomeration of fabricated fictional fairytales and you scoff at the notion that Jesus was the son of God and the ideology of his divinity is absolutely asinine to you and you think this is ridiculous today and that miracles were made up by man in an effort to make Jesus look better I mean no even you gotta ask yourself then why they put this miracle in the Bible where it takes Jesus to touches heal somebody you realize up into this monumental moment in mark chapter 8 jesus has not missed every person that he touched immediately got their healing because our God does not need to touch anybody twice come you know one touch from God can change your life one touch from God can push you into your you don't need to touch anybody twice up and to this point every person they brought before Jesus got their healing all sickness and disease was here it's like Jesus was an omnipotent Oprah lining people up talk about you'll get a miracle you'll get a miracle you get a miracle yeah everybody gets America since when does he take two touches to heal somebody it's not a fact there are 37 37 recorded miracles about the hand of Jesus 37 how many know he did more than 37 but it's just 37 recorded but he did way more than 37 don't get it twisted so much so that when John concludes his gospel he says these are just some of the things that I'm telling you that Jesus did because if I recorded everything that this man did there's not enough of books in the world to contain all the mighty works that our God did he did with one touch except this one all it takes is one touch how do you know if Jesus was coming your way you can almost bet that one touch was gonna do it if he touches your eyes get you a Netflix account you are about to see if he touches your ears go ahead and buy the Beats headphones you're about to hear if he touches your leg you know what dance you gonna do when you get up because you're about to dance again and you're sure you don't want the person in the Casta to come back from the band you better put a note on that casket and say please do not touch Jesus because if he touches that casket that person is gonna get up from the dead some of y'all don't know your Bible you remember that's what happened in the city of nain they had a funeral procession and a mama was carrying her baby boy out to the graveside service and here comes Jesus with that touch stuff bow one touch on the casket and that boy was the only boy in the history of kids to have the funeral at three o'clock in the evening she just pressed her way through the crowd and touch the hem of His garment all it takes is one touch if miracles of field goals and free throws your God doesn't miss mark chapter 8 some people invest Seder brought a blind man before Jesus one day some people brought a blind man before Jesus in best shada oh look at that some people and a blind man how convenient and the Bible says that they brought the blind man before Jesus some people brought a blind man beste some people as the blind man they brought him before Jesus they brought him because he was blind blind people had to be brought he didn't stumble upon Jesus he'd in Google Jesus location he was brought because he was blind blind people have to be brought I'm already getting excited on this message you know why because the miracle already started when they brought him he did not stumble upon Jesus he could not get to Jesus on his own the miracle started when they brought him just the fact that he was brought is indicative of the fact that grace was already working it is alive because he was brought Jesus see I want to talk to some of you that's been saved for a long time you're super saved you floated it here and all of a sudden you've got anointed amnesia because you've been saved so long and when you tell your testimony you got the nerve to say yeah back in the day I found Jesus I want to remind you blind people cannot find anything you didn't find Jesus Jesus found you that's the power of the grace of God is that before we even knew that we needed God grace was already working in your heart he was already moving yes you might have got out of your seat and came to an altar but please believe you didn't find him he found you you know to know that you needed him so I want to thank God that they brought him this is the condition of humanity that we are blind paul says that god of this world has blinded our eyes we don't even know to know that we need him and they brought him so i want to stop in the middle of illustration and I want to thank you some people how I want to thank you for bringing him I want to thank you for bringing him I want to thank them for knowing that bringing him was their responsibility but healing him was Jesus responsibility to have the wisdom to know that the healing was on Jesus but the bringing was on them just gotta bring him and I want to thank you mr. blonde man because you don't have to come out here oh yeah you better stay backstage but the fact that he let them lead him here is proof that God is doing something in your life and they brought ya now this is where this illustration is gonna get a little crack right because I am the executive producer of this illustration and so as a consequence I get to pick the cast and I've picked Anthony and Melissa to be the some people I've picked my younger brother Nathan to be the blind man so my brother and I have humbly humbly cast myself as Jesus in this don't judge me don't judge me I'm trying to be like him in a way but I got the mic I could be the Messiah so I'm Jesus illustration now my brother cannot can't see you can't see like you for real had your sight before you came out here we made him blind via this night mask that I got on a flight to London shoutout to American Airlines so he's not blind for real but we made him blind but right now you may as well be blind cuz you can't see anything can you no can't see anything completely blind don't lie in church you completely block he can't see so he's blind right now so watch this because he is blind he is now experiencing the vulnerability of having no vision the vulnerability of having no vision vulnerability is the byproduct of being blind the burden that the blind carry is that void of their vision they now have to rely on the voices of those around them and whatever the people around you say is truth you've got to accept it because what else you're gonna do research it no void of vision you are completely vulnerable to their voices oh that makes them incredibly powerful because they can tell him anything and he's got to believe him I'm going somewhere they could tell him he's got blond hair they could tell him his elbows they can tell him tell him to take ten steps forward and he'll get a blessing they can hand him a cup of poison and say this is a new drink Starbucks just put out they can tell him elephants are pink whatever they say he has to believe because he cannot see and I've seen this before I've seen this before no wonder when we are in our mother's womb with no sight and it's dark but yet our ears are developed at 18 weeks in it crazy even though you can't see you can already hear the voices of your mother of your father of the people around you speaking things already in the wall all over you that's why some of you are struggling right now because of the voices when you are vulnerable that tried to shape you some of you telling you that you're dumb that you're stupid and look at you today get out you've got more degrees than a thermometer but yet with all those degrees you're still fighting the voices of your past that told you you were dumb this is the human condition is that we are vulnerable to the voices that we are surrounded by and they Jesus not to heal him but to touch him oh that's clear brand identity they even knew hey just touch up he's gonna be healed all it takes is one touch but I find it intriguing Jesus did not touch his eyes the first thing he touched was his hand and the Bible says that he told this man outside of the village Thank You y'all can leave because I want some one-on-one time with him the first thing Jesus did with a blind man is not to touch his eyes but to take him by the hand and lead him outside of the village and I'm glad that Jesus didn't touch his ass take a staff and took his hand because he was showing us what the embryonic stages of faith looks like you know what pace begins faith begins when you forsake the voices of the village that formed you that told you who you were and you take God by the hand and you allow your heavenly father to reshape your identity to tell you the things that you really are come on some of y'all know what I'm talking about not blond it's black and you ain't got ashy elbows come on keep walking with me and you are not table you are my child just follow me and he'll begin to show you who you really are this is where faith begins it's forsaking the voices of the village and following the voice of your father and I'm glad Jesus didn't touch his eyes but took him by the hand because if he didn't I wouldn't got my first point and that is your village affects your vision that's what Jesus said we gotta get I know you heard about your vision I'm worried about this village your ear I know you're worried about your eyes I'm concerned about your environment I know you're concerned about your sight I'm concerned about your surroundings I've gotta get you out of this village because your village will affect your vision somebody say check your village I'll slap your neighbor tell them check your village I'm telling you your village affects your vision who is around you they will affect your vision jesus knew what good is it for me to give you new eyes and for you to be in a negative environment because of new eyes in a negative environment will contaminate new eyes we gotta get on preaching better y'all are talking that's alright new eyes in a negative village will infect your new eyes and some of you need to check your village too people around you some of you get so much hope on Sunday and so much power and you go right back to a village that just squanders and squashes everything God did you know those people that light up a room when they walk out just how always got a negative forecast your village is more important than your vision I'm telling you God made this clear to me I'll never forget I had a friend of mine that came here to Texas to visit from New York and he was so excited he wanted me to take him of all places to the State Fair of Texas you want to go to State Fair I was like man I will take you anywhere he's like no I want to go to the state fairs like oh come on go to the State Fair since I was a kid I'm over the State Fair I don't want to go he's like no we gotta go so here we are driving to the State Fair he's so excited he's never been to a fair before complaining the whole hours to take you to the car yeah you know the first one burned down this is uh it's the second what it's not even a good is [Music] I'm telling you you're worried about revision God will constantly have you check your village your village will affect your these that's even deeper than spirituality that's how you see life that's how you even view other people some people are quick to write off other people because your village has made you think that certain people are this way and certain people are that way but you better check your village because your village affects your vision we got to get you out of this you know I gotta get you out this village because you the village is Bethsaida that was the village Beth Seder and if you go book a trip please don't let your travel agent book you the best Seder go anywhere but best Seder is a horrible City you know why cuz Jesus said it's a horrible City I didn't know that Jesus had a list of cities that he hated you don't believe in Matthew chapter 11 look at the cities Jesus Haiti said then Jesus began to openly denounce the cities where he had done most of his mighty miracles because the people fail to turn away from sin and return to God he said how tragic it will be for the city of kurzon and how horrible for the city of bethsaida for if the powerful miracles that I performed in chorus and and Bethsaida had been done in tyre and Sidon they would have humbled themselves and repented and turned from their sins you know why Jesus hey the best Satan in those other cities is because he did every single miracle you can think of he showed his power but it is the city of unbelief you cannot convince somebody to believe something that they have already committed to not sin or not believe it and that's why Jesus cursed those cities and I want to pause at this service I didn't get first service this some of you need to take that word right there from Jesus quit trying to convince some people in your life that have already committed themselves to not like you to misunderstanding you kiss them goodbye and say that's cool because you cannot convince somebody that's already committed to not seeing them Jesus couldn't do it come on Bobo you know you came to it he said look yeah those cities Bethsaida was the village I gotta get you out the village and what did Jesus do next oh yes once he got them out of the village hmm I got to stay true to the text the Bible says brother I got to be real to the Bible the Bible says Jesus once he's got about of the hill I gotta be true to the text the Bible says he's like you put it on there Jesus and not just once twice to us tous two times he spit I'm not gonna spit how are you he spit and touched his ass he spit on this man's eyes people why did Jesus spit on this man you ever just read the Bible and gone for what I'll just skip past the skip the spin I won't even gonna deal with it y'all read it we have to preach this stuff Jesus why are you study a word you'll know this ain't the first time Jesus has spit on somebody oh yes turns out Jesus is a cereal spitter chapter 7 yeah almost the same way he takes a dude outside the village death guy spits on his finger and then put I believe don't you think there's another blind God Jesus spits in the ground makes a little Mud Pie and this starts rubbing it all in the guy's the most gates the thing up he says go wash that off and then call me tomorrow temple of heaven sick or is he compassionate depends how you see it is Jesus spitting on people because he's being mean or could it be possible even plausible that spitting in this man's eyes was the kindest thing our Savior could have ever done you have to read the Bible in his context you understand in Bill contacts they believed its spit had healing power there was power and spit that spit actually carried medicinal value almost to the point of superstition they believed there was healing power in spit so I submit to you that spitting in this man's eyes was actually the kindest thing our Savior could have ever done because by spitting you know what Jesus was saying I'm willing to meet you at your current place of belief you think there's healing power and spit guess what it's not isn't me but if spit is your current place of belief oh I will meet you right where you are oh come to where you are is this what you believe if that is your starting place I am willing to come to where you are the power is not in the spin the power is in me but if you believe there's power in the spin and that's where you start I will spit so good in your eyes because I love you enough to meet you where you are can I tell you what kind of annoys me about some church people today is that a lot of church people especially been in church for a while they know a lot of Scripture but don't know spin oh don't know spits no don't know spit no all the worship songs don't know spit and some of y'all think I'm being cute some of y'all think I'm being crass it's alright pastor hey be back next week fix what I'm saying huh but to me spit is deeper than just the word spit but the word spit up there to me spit is a person starting place into truth started be awesome if that came up starting place in to truth starting place into truth by faith they're gonna get their sight back there and it's gonna come up but that's what spit is that's what spit means to me it is you're starting play into true hallelujah can we be a church here me it would be a church that will spit can people have a starting place in to choose what does every person you encounter gotta merely be speaking Christian ease and come in and know how to say hallelujah and praise God and float in the room and have communion for breakfast or can we allow people just to have a starting place into truth and still love them and still care about them let it be possible that somebody that come could come to truly church hate the worship hate my preach and think it's terrible but still walk away and say you know what those people should love me I sure did get a good hug and service they sure didn't make me feel welcome I mean believe there's a god but I felt welcome that's spin that's meeting people at their starting place into truth he just want help and then after he spit he touched his eyes now this is where this miracle and this service is supposed to end because the pattern of Jesus is the touch the spit and then after that this man is supposed to say this crazy miracle of Mark chapter hey it's not what happens Jesus touches the dude and then watch this ask this man a question Jesus the one who knows the end from the beginning ask him a question he says to him look at the question do you see anything Oh since when does Jesus do follow-up questions after a miracle huh it's like he's checking to see if his power still works do you see anything he don't even sound like the Messiah he sound like a magician trying to car trick for the first time is this your car no Jesus ask you a question the answer is not for him he knows earth a if he asks you a question it's always for your benefit why do you ask him do you see anything I think it's because Jesus wanted to see please don't miss this was this man gonna be honest enough to admit that I did not take you from line to full sight I took you from blind to blurring and I did it on purpose to see if you would be honest about your blurry condition I did not take you from blind to full sight I can say I took you from blind to blurry cuz I want to see will you'll be honest with me that is you don't have the full picture if you can see but you can't see moly what do you do when Jesus did not take you from blonde to sight but from blonde to blurry and he does it on purpose it's quiet here because I found that some people especially church people don't want to admit when God takes them the blurry we have this problem emitting when the pictures look we feel this spiritual pressure to act like we can see clearly can you imagine this do what it be like oh yeah that was better than it was before I'm good I'm good he would have knocked and bumped into everything down the road thank God he was honest and say yeah I can see but it's not clear what do you do when Jesus takes you from blind to blurry is there anybody in here that can admit that a situation in your life is blurry it's like God do I quit my job my boss is crazy and Ross thought the business I don't know but God do I marry them cuz they killed and I'm seeing some character stuff and that credit score and is it it's blurry I'm telling you people don't want to admit when it's blue I've never met so many people who are do you know who scares me it's not people that are blind I can deal with that it's not any people that are blurry it's the people where it's blurry and they're acting like they got the clear picture you know the hardest person convinced they need glasses the person that needs glasses because I can see I'm fine see so many people who God speaks to you so specific about everything yeah God told me to wear this blue shirt these polkadot socks yeah God told me to make a left at the stop sign man he told you all that before 6 a.m. holy waters like man I don't know if I'll meet anybody that God healed in heaven I want to meet this guy and I want to say thank you for being honest he might not have got the second touch if he wasn't honest I'm so glad he was honest in it interesting that his honesty about his lack of clarity is what brought him clarity because God can deal with your honesty you can't deal with pretense and filters but when you're honest can you believe when it's blurry because blurry is actually for believers oh he got a touch from God blurry is for believers if I had time I would show you the fact that this is not just a miracle this is a parable it's a parable for his disciples cuz just before this miracle his disciples are on the boat with him he had just fed 5,000 people with a few fish and loaves and then felt fed 5,000 people with a few fish and loaves and all of a sudden they're on a boat with one loaf of bread and they're like do you think this is enough bread for the journey and Jesus like are y'all serious ready got about to kill him all right now are y'all serious rina where you get all he had to go through with these like how many people died feed the first time they're like 5,000 the second time four thousand how many all is 12 I think we know we had the power to do it yeah but it was it was blur you laughing but that's you that's me gods made a way but I don't know hurry I'm glad he was honest cuz he gave me the second point of the message which is blurry is a blessing I know you hate blurry and you want God to give you the full picture in 4k and HD detail but I'm telling you God will often take you from blonde to blurry on purpose because there's something about a picture that hasn't fully loaded then makes you lean in I feel like I'm preaching better the others talking you see the picture that's taken forever to load and you're like oh is it even movin what are these pixels do it makes you lean in and that's what God wants he wants your lean in to him you need to thank God for your blurry you're blurry makes you pray your blurry makes you see kept your glory makes you throw up your hands and stop trying to fix it and say God oh you know how this is gonna work Lurie is not a burden blurry is a blessing blurry shows me that his power is not just potent in its immediacy it's also potent in a process and he'll take you from blond blurry y'all get my brother Han thank you so much I appreciate you I'm done cuz I never saw this before notice what the blind man said I told you that God took him from blonde to blurry but we didn't even look at what the blonde man said to Jesus what he said do you see anything he said I what you say I see people uh-huh they look like trees uh-huh walking around I see people huh they look like trees uh-huh do it what walking around one more time for the people in the back you said what I see people uh-huh and they what they look like they look like they look like you just got your vision like blind people say are you smoking cheese they look like trees how does a blind man know what trees look like since when does a blind man have a context for what trees look like you just got furthermore they look like when did you see trees you're blind ladies and gentlemen this man did not have his sight received his sight was restored this man was not born blind he became blind he saw before this man saw before this is not the story of a man who was born blind this is a story of a man who became blind he lost his sight a long time ago I don't know when maybe after he saw trees but at some point in his life he lost his sight his sight was not received it was restored the power of this text is that this man did not go from blind too blurry decide this man went from sight to blind too blurry back to say sight to blind blind to blurry blurry back to sigh sight to blind blind to blurry blurry back decide a fill of mixed a sight to blind blind to blurry blurry to say a sight to blind blood it's a blurry blurry back to sight join anytime I said sight to blind blind to blurry blurry just say blood it's a blurry blurry bad to say now you can leave thank you so much younger brother or y'all still stand behind those trees I'm so sorry yeah my bad y'all can go I'm so sorry I left you standing there you can because I've seen this before sight to blind blind to blurry blurry back dis I've seen that before site with two trees and please believe they were created with perfect sight humanity was not born blind you do know we were born perfect in the image of our perfect creator with perfect size perfect in the presence of God we were born with perfect sight until they went to those trees one of those trees and took up the forbidden fruit and we're disobedient and sin entered the world and guess what sin made us go we went blind that's why as soon as they sinned they started covering up themselves and started hiding who they were and for the first time felt shame because sand made them blind humanity went from sight to blind and then we went to blurry waiting for the promise of a redeemer waiting for the hope of redemption that's the Old Testament it was blurry so yes David defeats Goliath the pre salvation but it's blurry yes Noah saves people in an art but it's blurry yes Moses lists up his staff and brings deliverance and people come out of slavery into sonship but it's blurry but how many are thankful then one night in Bethlehem that which was blurry all of a sudden in Jesus Christ no wonder John the Baptist said behold the lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world oh it was not until Jesus showed up that that which was blurry became full sight he came to bring restoration this is the story of humanity that we went from sight perfectly created by God to blind because of the consequences of sin the blurry waiting for a redeemer that could get us out of the mess that we got ourselves in to full sight and the promise of Jesus Christ I've seen this before so what our God does this is what some of you today who have lost hope he wants to restore that which he lost that man didn't receive his sight his sight was restored he knew what clear vision looked like and he was honest enough even in the blurry to say God I can see but it's not clear you know what the enemy would love and the blurry season actually the enemy would love for you to stay blind and never come into the knowledge of who Jesus is even worse he would love for you to have an encounter with God and just because the pictures blurry you walk away and give up or deny the touch that you have from God just because the picture isn't clear don't tell you blurry is a blessing it makes you seek him and he will give you clarity I love the last thing he tells him thank you so much the last thing he tells us man which is in the last words of Jesus that is blind man last thing he tells him is this after it restores his sight fully he says to him he sent him home so he had a home I said don't even go into the village you see Jesus not playing about that village don't even go back don't go back to that village go home which means the man didn't even live in Bethsaida yeah the whole just got comfortable in an environment of unbelief got comfortable in a certain place it's not your home go home you do know this is not your home heaven is your real home I know you're going through some stuff right now but don't get it twisted lose perspective this is not the final say I have a home don't go back in that village because I brought you restoration and point number three restoration requires redirection you've been restored don't go back to a negative environment it's gonna mess up your new eyes restoration requires redirection would you stand to your feet all over this place that I asked sense God's presence is such a sweet way I'm a nest that nobody leave please father I'll thank you today for your word Jesus thank you that your word brings light it brings illumination but I believe that your word did that in this place today father a predator you would open up our eyes to see [Music] see those around us our village that is affecting our village our vision help us to see and to trust you even when the picture is blurry to know that that's not to tell them to quit and walk away just because you don't have the full picture but to lean in more to you she will give us clarity it might not be on our time schedule it might not even be the answer we want but you will restore if we trust you and if we're honest about where we are father thank you that your restoration requires redirection you're redirecting our path that's about ah so close but if you're here today you'd be so honest I'd have to say you know what this is for me today I don't know which point hit you but for somebody you need to just check your village because it's affecting your vision and there's some people in your life that got saying that relationship needs to end how much you are talking encounter with them that's got to stop it's affecting your vision some you in here right now God wants you to trust him even in that blurry season just because you have uncertainty doesn't mean your touch from God wasn't real trust the one is blurring it's about aza Club if you're here today and we saw and said this is for me would you just lift up your hair as a sign to say this is for me this is for me just lift it up your hands are going up all over this place today thank you Jesus anybody else lift it up put it right back down thank you God it's too bad I'll still closed maybe you're here today and you be so honest to say I've never taken that first step would you say Jesus my life is yours and some of you even the fact you're here today is proof that God has already been working in your life you're just like their blind man who took that first step to allow those people to lead him to Jesus and today God wants to open up your eyes for you to begin relationship with your FSU you've never surrendered your life to Jesus but you say today's a day maybe need to rededicate your life to Him because life got blurry and you walked away yes you would you just lift up your hand today say that's me that's me I need to keep on my life today yeah I see those hands see those here's what I'm ask you to do a man should to be so bold so braided you lift up your hand for either one of those but I count to three I don't care how far you got to walk I just want you to come to this altar I believe there's something powerful about leaving where you are and come into a new place that's why Jesus took a blind man by the hand before he ever touched his eyes it's something about going to a new place if you lift up your head or you should have some people are already coming I want you to come one this is your moment to don't worry about what anybody else thinks 3 what you come would you come see this is for me today's the day today's the day thank you God thank you God thank you Jesus he's a God of restoration he'll restore that which it lost him thank you God thank you Jesus I am standing on every promise that you made I will see it come to pass in your name in your name anybody else come on I will trust every thank you Jesus come on can we lift up our hands and just save this progress come on [Music] [Music] - come on one more time [Music] I believe I'm gonna sue even when it's blurry you're gonna give me the full picture Jesus how much fun [Music] as you at this altar just with your hands lifted I'm a prayer prayer and there's going to be some people even coming behind you now we're gonna have some personal prayer with you after this moment because your village is everything I just wanna let you know even right now that this is a place where you could find the right village do you find people that are going to encourage you and not squander the word God's given you people that'll lift you up and encourage you I wanted to just pray this prayer just right where you are we're all gonna say it but especially if you responded you just say this from your heart today so you do Jesus thank you so much for loving me enough to pay the price so I can see whoo and I know I'm blind and I'm lost with the help you I need you I don't even know to know that at least you but your spirit speaking to my heart so I respond and honesty begging for clarity come into my life forgive me of my sin make me brand new from this moment forward I'm walking with you I trust you even when it's blurry cuz I know you'll give me the picture in Jesus name all somebody save man and give God some praise of this place today oh come on you can do better than that would you give Jesus a praise at this place today hallelujah those are at the front if you want some personal prayer there's some friends that are behind you they would love to pray with you personally no pressure but if you prayed that prayer of salvation for the first time here we please text new life to this number nobody's gonna harass you but we do want to help be the village around you to everybody else may the Lord bless you and keep you they make his face to shine upon you give
