Rob Halford's speech at Lemmy's funeral [9/1/16]

so much love love lemme hello everyone on behalf of Judas Priest Glen Ian Scott Richie Jane and Bill from 20 fold and chip and Jen from chips to PR I'm here to include all of our love for Lemmy and lemmy's family over the years we've had so many amazing times with Lemmy and Motorhead on and off the road most recently in Europe and South America we always look forward to seeing the lads when we kicked off working together as we knew well in advance there would be more than one lemon almond or a Phil King of Comedy Campbell event yes laughter was the overriding emotion with the guys and as we know if you can't have a good laugh on the road you might as well pack it in on a personal note when I was in the presence of Lord Lemmy I always felt a bit overwhelmed admiration mainly here is a man that lived rock and roll life on his own terms a true rock and roll maverick his music speaks for itself across and as we know the music lives forever here's something I would like to share that took place between me and him in South America we just completed the tour down there with Ozzy and we were all heading back up here I was wandering around the airport lounge very late at night it might have been earlier morning and I saw him sitting by himself in a corner so I wondered over and said alright LEM yeah I'm alright we've had some good fun on this one then for some reason I took his hand and we sat there in silence for a few minutes can I do a selfie he gave me the Lemmy look and I expected no bugger off that tired and got lay out of the morning but he said no now go on then so I did and I kissed him and then I told him that I loved him when I when the news hit the first thing I did was put that on my Instagram it's a moment to share a moment to cherish a moment of unconditional love faith family friends fans god bless you let me Scott here
