The way Rob said "Babymetal" it sounded like he was praying for their help. Well, if anyone can help, they can.

five your body disease-resistant Alan Richey footman I'm Rob Halford and we are Judas Priest and this is Loudwire hey everyone grommet from loud wire here and it truly does my heart good to say that I'm sitting next to glend Raymond Tipton from a New Zealand with Robert John Arthur Halford yeah Jonathan coming for a cheese Richard Ian Faulkner do you Richard in Faulkner Tyco Robert John Arthur Glen rhyming Tipton to be a lawful ready brothers in metal well good thing because I got those names off Wikipedia and they are all correct correct yes yeah absolutely so we're gonna do some Wikipedia fact or fiction I'm going to read off some things that I saw on your various Wikipedia pages today yeah you can give us a fact or fiction and elaborate our piece of shoes first off Glen it says that you were taught to play the piano by your mother but you're never fully committed to the practice and you actually started to learn to play guitar at the age of 19 I was about 18 or 19 I picked a guitar well brother used to play guitar and I used to sneak into his room and play it and think he didn't know until he came back and it was horribly out of tune and yeah my mother I suppose between my mother and my brother they gave me really interesting music my mother taught tried to teach me piano but as always don't really want to listen to parents and there were better things to do I can go in my air rifle and shoot shoot stuff you know lovely living stuff up I am so yeah that's that's true cool cool Oh Rob before joining Judas Priest you were the manager of a cinema oh yes what other odd jobs did you have before we were talking earlier about spinal tap on a spinal tap moment you know where they asked what's his name what are the what other job could you do and he could work in a men's shop like that's a nice hat sir would you like to try this one on what size are you you worked in a place like that yeah yeah actually walk to them men's men's were see you wouldn't understand that some British fans would upstairs not upstairs downstairs so yeah and I I did have a slight involvement in the artistic world of pornography really it was a porno cinema but so I did that and then I worked I did a legitimate theater I called the Grand Theatre Warrenton when I came straight out of high school and that was extraordinary for me I think that draw that really was a driving force for me to actually get out on the stage you know just standing on this on the side and watching all of these incredible performances whether it would be Repertory Theater or opera or just for yit tons of different types of theater performances was really really relevant for me and you know pushing me out into the into the entertainment world well I I never heard that porno theater one yeah I don't know that's what you know what so you thought I worked in a regular cinema those are regulars and almost somebody on Wikipedia you know it was about as big about half as big as this room and then like three chairs and guys going on you know and just about to pound to getting uh I gotta pictures on Saturday morning you should cost six minutes to gain the Lied Center last night they let his liar but my experience in Friday morning pictures I was gonna say I really hope that you weren't like the mop-up gaya no I just leave that he just blends into the car punch crunch cries well you do that's the question hahaha I say no well you will always answer the question within the honesty of metal Rob it was suggested by in Hill who was dating your sister at the time don't I story again yes but you Jorah his window kill me now kill me now if we this [Β __Β ] Norris ties to her gone Sedona skies Doris Day it was like just that you were brought into the band by Ian while they were saving well the story goes was that Ian and Ken came over to the house and I was upstairs having a shower harmonizing with Doris died if anything could be [Β __Β ] Gary in the world and knock down the bodies but I wasn't I refute that till that put me in the earth but any what was the crime what was the question just whether or not your sister was dealing Dana yeah that we don't know were dating each other thank you sir she got me she made the connection through through their romantic encounters thank you miss Alfred for that yes thank you I want to be sort of the couch close yeah I'll ask well go skip ahead in the chronology a bit I found this very interesting is that Richie you helped arrange music for Christopher Lee's heavy metal album Charlamagne grams of death I was actually involved in the arrangement of it so Christopher's guy as they called me up and they said we've got this album and it was very soon phonic it was very awkward based and they said we want it to sound like a metal band so can you can you work with us on this and so basically they wanted instrumentation so they wanted parts for guitars and by and drums and I always remember it was just before I joined priests and I'll always remember I was sitting there in my kitchen and they sent me through the tracks as Christopher singing and I had it loud you know I'm coming up with different parts I don't know what the neighbors must have thought you know because it was it was so Christopher I was singing like you know and I was living at the time Steve Harris from my maiden's place above the garage you know so there was like mummies you know and monsters and you had said Christopher coming out of the kitchen speakers it was quite a surreal experience but he was a sweetheart you know I made out with him and he was talking about you know admit things throughout his life and he's a very metal guy embodies the whole spirit of metal in our Acula East fence regular he hates it by the way he hates it when people bring now yeah yeah because he's not be known for that and he's done so much so much so much stuff yeah and people were so she's over there so we were actually told when we went into meeting and he actually did in the end so it was it was kind of cool but great guy great to sit and listen to about different stories and his views on things yeah if it's Aryan oh yeah he's 90 something isn't you know think he is incredible incredible and when he does the you know does these interviews in Union when I first heard Black Sabbath and I met Tony Iommi I thought I liked this heavy metal and I joined the forces he's got this incredible charisma you got that cadence pretty much perfect impression is velvety yeah you could have been an impressionist you hear where the metal god let's go we said Las Vegas when I'm 73 hello everybody welcome to Vegas do you remember this one breaking the law breaking the law oh I hope so let's go back to Rocka Rolla before entering the studio were to record that album your record company suggested that you should add another musician to the lineup KK was reluctant to incorporate a keyboardist or horn player so he chose to bring in another lead guitarist mr. Glenn Tipton yeah that's true the record company had suggested I think keyboard player and I don't think the ban we really wanted that they they wanted another guitar player you know hey it was just incredible really when you go back to those days in gold records and we asked for an extra 25 pounds a week that was all so he could buy some sandwiches but we're giving meal tickets those early days were interesting because we found their feet mainly in the writing Department anyway yeah I joined before the poster hallelujah and we knew right away that we've got a formula really really worked particular in the writings it was a really pivotal moment for the band because I can remember those early days when we were jamming as a four-piece and then the extraordinary things that began to happen when when done was with us you know everything just sounded bigger and just more different because so we were one of the first bands that actually incorporated two guitar players and lead both lead guitar player so you'd have some bands with one God would play all evening God would play all the rhythm so I think one of the greatest things that happened for priests was when Glenn Joe Anderson Robson is it was that and the elements of driving and the band itself that that just could be more versatile Rob said one guitarist playing lead you look at my rhythm site was still heavy or you could play harmonies or we could play light inquired bits and he just gave a whole new dimension to the man we would you know listen we're scientists it says that the original bottle cap album cover for Rocka Rolla was originally intended to be used for a Rolling Stones album cover I wouldn't eat my [Β __Β ] about it is that good about it because we see when when we saw that it was like deflation wasn't it I mean it was all it was all done without our involvement or anything of how it should be and I showed it us and we're not we admire this wreck and you listen to it now I mean it's very it's a very simple direct record in terms of production some of the songs are amazing listen to dying tomato for example that's a really really heavy track and then you put that next to these [Β __Β ] bottle top any of you swallow again kill me now it's just you know it just couldn't be further away from our but now you know it's rocker already sabato it's like coca-cola it's them I don't know how we got away with it because he said it's a total ripoff of the coca-cola trademark they would not allow you to do that now I think that was the angle we need an angle well isn't the music enough I mean not the music should be used as an angle the music should be allowed to speak for itself so you know we were we were overjoyed when we were able to get away from my record company move over to save us Columbia Judas Priest band from Madison Square Garden after fans destroyed the US during a 1984 show resulting in $300,000 worth of damage are you mental there's actually quite a funny ending to that man Ken went there to watch McEnroe play tennis at some indoor tennis championship and we went in who lives in that because we'd been done from you know the bandwidth ban from Madison Square and a half way through the tennis match while the oh she's kind anyway thanks for the new seats so Tommy you wouldn't have had new seats without priest I sort of said thanks for the new seat are we still going for Madison Square Garden we are forgiven for yes it is that big inviting act God that the the horrible thing is that if we did play Madison Square Garden there'd be some enthusiasts it was there from the original riot with these penknife back I'm gonna quickly flick it on the study would start all over again that's probably best bang for life Rob you've performed as the vocalist for Black Sabbath on three occasions and you replaced Ronnie James Dio for two nights in 1992 when do elected not to open shows for Ozzy Osbourne yes that's true okay it was a great a great night out a great event there was a little bit of friction at that time between Ozzy and Ronnie so we're all friends you know Ronnie bless you you know word Sabbath the priests we we just look after it what is it we watch each other's backs and that's very true where there's a lot of friendship and we've both lived the life and my moments like that up we need to step up and do what you need to do to make might the night go on thank you guys so much for your time today bye y'all redeemer that was a lot of fun oh good Redeemer of souls pick up the new album it is amazing it will kill you it is out July 15th July no I'm good today p.m. the UK Judas Priest
