hello my wonderful beautiful friends guys welcome back to our slash i do work here lady where instead of karen's mistaking regular joshumo customers as employees they don't believe employees are actual employees and in today's episode a karen calls 911 for trespassing and tries to get him jailed when he disobeys her and he's just doing his job the stories are super duper crazy so strap yourselves in don't shake your heads too hard and hey subscribe if you haven't okay so i work for a company that sells insurances for appliances however i'm just in a call center in south america colombia and i do the billing from there so on this day i get a beep and i pick up saying thank you so much for calling the name of the company may i have your phone number please out of nowhere the lady says no who are you why are you answering my call to which i say well i do work here in the billing department so i'm here to assist you now the lady can tell that i do have an accent and she says where are you from i say to her i'm from south america colombia she then says so you're mexican i don't want to speak with mexicans which i say um no miss i'm from colombia so actually i'm kalam now before i can even get that out she says i don't care where you're from can you effing help me with this or what i tell her for sure miss no problem however just for your information i would like to tell you that this is a professional call so it's not necessary to talk in that way she doesn't say anything so after i made all the process to validate the account i asked okay miss so from my understanding you want to update your credit card right she tells me yes i then say to her okay so in that case to update it i would need your new credit card number also the expiry date and the cvv code at the back she then says to me and why would you need that let me give you the last four digits i tell her well miss unfortunately i can't only take the last four digits i won't be able to update the information for you without the full number at this point she asked to speak to my effing supervisor so i tell her miss this is the first warning if you keep using this language i will have to disconnect this call she then says to me you're trying to scam my information you want to steal it i don't trust you at all because mexicans now at this point i'm losing my patience and i say miss this is the second warning and she says let me finish talking now i'm trying to say that mexico is full of nothing but monkeys and immigrants i tell her miss you are being racist hearing that karen explodes and she says if you don't let me speak to your supervisor right now i'm gonna call the police my lawyer and the social media is gonna know about this you mother effing monkey so at that point i say thank you so much for calling and have a great day i then hang up the call to this day i wonder if she still thinks i was a scammer after she called me for help fun fact it was also the first call of the day oh silly silly karen on top of being racist she's dumber than a freaking brick like she calls in wants to update her credit card details gets asked for sad details and immediately assumed it's a scam because opie has an accent and on top of that she only wanted to give out the last four digits of the card like oh my word my sympathies so i work at the infamous bullseye mart i'm sure you guys are familiar with the uniform there it's khaki pants a red shirt of some kind a name tag and closed toe shoes you get the idea so i'm lucky that the marte workout is pretty chill on uniform as long as the outer layer is 90 of some shade of red and the pants aren't ripped to high heaven and everything is work appropriate we can wear whatever we want including jeans so here's the incident it's a warm summer day at work and i'm wearing my coolest work appropriate attire the lightest pair of jeans i have sneakers and a red and white striped t-shirt and also my name tag displaying my name and the store's logo on it since i'm working self-checkout that day i'm also outfitted with the right equipment namely a walkie-talkie a portable scanner and keys that jingle with every step i take now i do want to note that the keys are the only thing slightly hard to spot just by looking at me the walkie-talkie and the scanner are pretty bulky so for the last five minutes i've been running every which way helping the small crowd that descended upon the self scan lanes so it might appear to the unobservant that i'm some clueless customer trying to find a certain candy bar on my lane or something finally the line calms down enough and no one needs my immediate attention so i walk over and stand next to the woman waiting in line for the self scan i exhale and enjoy my brief moment of peace when the woman the karen of the story gives me a surprise wow now me thinking she was talking about the long line we just had say i know right nice summer days bring in a big crowd huh karen then says i can't believe you just cut in front of me now hearing that i'm a bit confused and i say i didn't cut in front of you karen says yes you did i watched you walk over grab a candy bar and then stand in front of me you cut me in line hearing her say that i just stand there confused i had no candy bar in hand and then it clicked she thinks i'm a customer so i say oh ma'am i work here at that karen kind of scoffs and says a likely story i then looked down at my bulky walkie-talkie my scanner and my nametag and say very likely at that karen rolls her eyes and walks away muttering something about how rude people can be she then proceeds to get into the only other open lane which had three people ahead of her one looking like a fairly large order i just kind of shrug and share a people will be people look with the next guy in line but it's not over yet about 15 minutes later the cashier waves me down so i walk up to her side of the lane while still keeping an eye on the self scan i asked her hey what's up she tells me the machine won't take this lady's coupon i glance over and karen and i lock eyes karen scoffs and rolls her eyes and i ignore her and glance at the coupon that the cashier is holding i say to her oh here's the problem the coupon's expired the cashier says just by a day though i then hand the coupon back to her and say we can still honor it just enter the price change manually and put the coupon with the others the cashier then tells me i don't know how to do that all of a sudden i can hear karen groaning and karen says then call someone over to show you how to do it and stop wasting my time i then say out loud i can show you karen then at the same time as the cashier says you can i say yeah it's pretty simple so i show the cashier how to enter the coupon manually and what to do with it afterwards she thanks me and i'm about to head back to my post when karen looks at me absolutely flabbergasted karen then says wait so you do work here at this i'm slightly confused and i tell her i've worked here for a couple of years now why do you ask to which karen then says so it's not a halloween costume now hearing that i just kind of stare at the woman and the cashier later told me that i looked exactly like that one meme where the mouth is floating around a woman's head i then told the karen why would i lie and why would i be wearing a halloween costume in the middle of july i don't know what's worse the i don't work here ladies stories where karen seemed to think that everyone is an employee or the i do work here stories where karen's are convinced that nobody is an employee i mean what kind of mental juggling was that karen doing in her mind to convince herself that opie was wearing a freaking halloween costume like are you kidding me karen yes people love to dress up as target employees during halloween okay so earlier today i had one of my biggest jobs yet re-keying 19 locks all to be alike normally for the bigger jobs my boss would help but he isn't exactly the most organized and he keeps losing his bidding tweezers so i was on my own they were all to some side rooms holding only some thick piping the sign above them said something along the lines of fire room or something but that wasn't my problem somewhere around lock 14 i heard the signature karen ahem me having made a parking mistake pointed out by a kind lady earlier and expecting something similar turn around and say is everything all right now i should have known where this was going karen says hey what are you doing here to which i say i'm re-keying these locks and karen says you aren't allowed to do that that's illegal i say to the woman ma'am this is my job the owner of the complex ordered me to do this please leave me alone karen then says no i live here and you aren't allowed to do this don't make me call the police do you even have a license to do this now spoiler alert there is no license needed per se but there is some sort of certificate for identification so i can't just copy the key and come back or something i tell the woman i do have a license now please let me do my job you're a tenant of this place not the owner i know this because i was ordered to do this by the owner himself besides these are side rooms to some sort of fire control area you don't even have access here and yet i do is that not proof enough karen then says show me your license or i'm calling the police i say to her then call them i have no obligation to show you verification numbers you aren't my client the karen then screams that she's calling police and they'll make sure i never do this again i was absolutely pissed at this point so i say lady i'm doing my job so leave me alone go waste someone else's time well karen then pulls out the big guns and she says well i'm the owner's wife you are not allowed to do this i'm calling police to which i say to her no you're not the owner doesn't live around here and he's single try again lady so sure enough she calls the police two locks later they arrived they asked if i was supposed to be here and i say yes i then showed the text between me my boss and the real owner i got them on call to confirm and showed the police my number it wasn't very interesting from there they basically told the lady to not waste police time ever again that this wasn't her business and i wasn't in the wrong they ordered her to stop and let me know everything was good and to continue as normal i got the job done well this incident was shown to the landlord and if it was up to me i would change one pin on her door the next size up now that wouldn't make her key not work it would just make it harder to turn sadly the landlord just laughed and said i couldn't do that now i just want to add a side note you people who need to deal with karen's regularly have a newfound respect from me guys i love how when she didn't get her way she just pretended to be the owner's wife like that's a karen's ultimate special move right there right like i would be so annoyed if i were op and had the police called on me for doing my job and speaking of that the psycho karen in the next story tries to get op jailed alright so the story starts off with myself and my co-worker at the time we both worked in california in g4s guards for service i was on graveyard and at the time this wasn't my main post i was at i was just sent here to give a hand with a guard that called off and apparently the supervisor wasn't given any information on my arrival so the main story this took place before covet was a thing back in 2019 it was peak season in november and i was a guard that was asked to come take up a post at the farmer joe's distribution center in bloomington california it was a graveyard post and my friend that i knew for years had been working at this post now the field manager had called me in and asked if i could work there for the night which at the time i didn't mind taking extra overtime so after i was shown around by the supervisor that was there i was let off to go about my business like any other person it was a 10 pm to 8 am shift 10 hours yay it all started around 1 am when the head supervisor came which in the company is known as a post commander and all guards are required to call the post commander by their rank which is captain at the time i was minding my own business in the trader joe's yard helping a trucker back into the gates until i heard someone come up behind me and suddenly i hear a yelling she's the supervisor of the story a real piece of work out of nowhere i hear excuse me who the f are you to which i say um my name's kyle nice to meet you i was told to come work this shift by another manager to which karen says no i asked for someone specifically i didn't ask for a random like yourself now at this moment i was getting very pissed off because of her rudeness i say to her um well they sent me and i'm sorry you didn't get who you wanted but i'm only here to do a job that the field manager sent me to do karen then says to me well you can kindly escort yourself off the property for trespassing as i didn't request you to come to my site otherwise you'll leave me no choice but to call the police again i say to her i'm sorry but as required by the field manager i'm to stay at this post until the end of my shift i was asked to do a job and i will be doing this job regardless you can call police if you want i'll call the field manager so of course she calls police and roughly 30 minutes later police officer number one shows up with his partner and he says what's the commotion about i begin to explain saying sir if i may when karen interrupts me shouting to the cops saying officers you need to arrest this man immediately he threatened me with a knife and he's trespassing on this property hearing that i give a massive sigh as both the officers were confused because i'm clearly wearing a g4s standard issued uniform that has all the patches on the uniform but because they heard the word knife this is what happens officer number two pulls out a handgun and he screams on the ground now hands behind your back officer number one follows by placing handcuffs on me now even though i'm restrained the second officer still has his gun on me like i'm an active threat with metal cuffs on me i'm not gonna lie i did nearly crap myself because i thought i was going to get shot for no reason i did indeed have a pocket knife on me literally a keychain pocket knife officer 1 searches my pockets and he finds the knife he escorts me back to the vehicle where i'm then placed into the back of the vehicle still in handcuffs at this point in time my friend comes to see what the commotion's about and he says hey officers what's going on here the officer says well he's being placed under arrest for possession of a deadly weapon and charged with threatening that woman over there he's also charged with trespassing hearing that my friend says wait wait wait wait what deadly weapon what are you talking about he would never threaten someone's life even if he hated them he's not that kind of person that would want that to happen and he's not trespassing he was asked to come work here the officer tells him well that woman over there claims that he threatened her and that he's trespassing on this property my friend tells him sir i can assure you that none of this is true he was called up on his day off to come down here and work when he wasn't supposed to be working if he wasn't supposed to be working he wouldn't be here the officer says to him well if you can find me the evidence that supports these claims then i'll release him until then it's a he said she said situation and he did have a knife on him my friend then pulls out his phone and calls the field manager and told her of the situation he then rushed inside to grab the building manager both police officers were talking with karen a little bit away from the vehicle and i can barely hear but i guess one of the officers called for a supervisor of their own shortly after a second police car shows up and it's the police sergeant he comes to the window where i was patiently sitting and waiting and he asked my side of the story and i told him everything finally the field manager shows up with our office's regional director my friend comes outside with the manager of the building everybody pretty much talks calmly at this point since there were so many stories being thrown around the field manager asked me hey why are you in the back of that police car i explained well that's why i had my friend call you that's because this psycho woman decided to have the cops called on me for trespassing and then she told the cops that i threatened her with a knife both the field manager and the director look towards the police to get their attention and say officers this is all a big misunderstanding he was called on his day off to come work at this post as asked by the field manager the police sergeant says all right well that doesn't explain the threat with a knife and that's when the manager of the building says i can take you inside i can show you the cameras which have audio recording the police sergeant and the building manager goes inside to look over the footage now at this point in time you can see that karen effed up because she turns pale white knowing she's just gotten herself in trouble the police sergeant returns and pulls me out of the car he then takes the handcuffs off me then hands me back my knife and my backpack he then says all right i've reviewed the footage and there's no hostile threats from you all charges will be dropped and you're free to go i tell him thank you officer i appreciate your assistance with this manner he then walks over to karen and places handcuffs on her he then says miss you are under arrest for lying to law enforcement filing a false police report and calling for false emergency after the whole situation went down the stupid dumb karen went to jail that night i didn't ever see her again i went to a meeting with my manager the field manager and the director and they told me the situation had been handled and they offered me the post commander position there i asked what happened to karen even though i didn't really care they told me she was released the next day and completely fired and banned from ever applying with g4s two weeks later i left to get a better paying position with allied universal and the drive was three times closer than my last post a lesson to be learned here never take it over the edge until you've gotten the information and facts first guys another lesson is never ever ever lie to police especially when you're in a public area where there may be cameras seriously though that karen was freaking loony i don't like that the person i requested for didn't come so i'm just gonna lie to have you arrested since you won't leave so guys the last story in this episode is a wholesome story that i hope you'll enjoy so on this day i was outside a restaurant washing the windows with a squeegee and a bucket of water there was a break in the weather and the snow had melted i picked up the garbage that had been frozen under the snow as i did i noticed the car was circling the parking lot leaving and returning a server came to me with a cup of hot chocolate and i thanked her i then drank it and put it into the garbage bag i then took the bag to the dumpster i then saw that the car that had been circling around the parking lot had parked a little old lady exited and she headed straight towards me now she reminded me of the old lady in the courage and cowardly dog cartoon saying oh honey stop stop stop i looked around and she was heading my way she then says to me oh dear if you're hungry let me buy you something to eat my son is a cook here and he can make a nice hot meal for you now at this point it dawned on me she must have thought i was going through the dumpster for food she literally thought i was a homeless person now honestly i can see how she made this assumption i was wearing my favorite hoodie and it was a bit tattered but it was a comfortable hoodie we all have that one article of clothing or blanket or pillow that we refused to throw away right and i hadn't shaved because i had taken several weeks off due to doctor's orders the past two years have been hell on me and my mental health trying to keep the restaurant afloat but on with the story the old lady takes me by the wrist and she leads me into my restaurant every time i tried to tell her that i'm the owner she would just interrupt me saying no no no no no i don't want to hear it we are getting you a good hot meal to get you warmed up i won't take no for an answer the whole way i kept trying to say but ma'am i and she would just keep saying nope don't want to hear it i said we're getting you a nice hot meal there's no shame in getting help from others please make this old lady happy keep me company while we eat again i tried to say to her but ma'am you don't understand i'm actually and she says hush she then brings me to a nice booth by the window and she tells me to sit right down while sitting across from me she then says han i know you're hungry but you shouldn't stare in the window watching others eat at this point i give up trying to explain my server marisa comes to our table and said oh hi mr rodney how are you today i tell her i'm fine thank you can you do me a favor get the manager marissa then went to the back of the house and she came back with the manager and the manager says oh hey dad what's up i then say to my son could you please tell this sweet old lady who i am my son looks puzzled and says um yeah this is my dad he owns the restaurant hearing that the sweet lady got that oh my look on her face i then tell my son hey can you tell mike that his mother's here he says sure can he then heads back to the kitchen mike comes out and says hi mama what are you doing here the sweet old lady couldn't say much so i said i finally get to meet your mom instead of seeing her from a distance hey go to the kitchen make our favorite dinner and show off your skills for your mama as we waited we talked about our families and i showed her some of the pictures of my family i have hanging on the wall i say to her these are my two brothers and my three sisters here at the reopening of the restaurant and this goofy looking guy right here is me this is my wife this is my daughter and my grandkids we then sit down and mike's mother showed me a picture of her kids her brothers and her sisters and she says honey i am so sorry for thinking that you were homeless to which i say ma'am there is no need to be sorry now i know where mike gets his kindness and his big heart he works very hard and he's very respectful to me you should be very proud of him and he should be proud to be so lucky as to have a sweet mother we sat talked ate our meals and had a couple of coffees mike came out of the kitchen and said okay mama i'm done for the day i then smiled and said we would see each other later and she's always welcome i then whispered to mike hey your mama is sweet she has such a big heart and she's pretty stubborn but sweet to which mike laughs and says he knew and boy did he know what a freaking wholesome story right guys we need more people in the world like mike's mom stories like this where people watch over one another truly makes me smile big hugs to mike's mom for being such a wonderful woman and now my friends brings us to an end of our slash i do work here lady guys i hope you enjoyed the stories today i hope you didn't shake your heads too
