understand first me down next magician Richard Bella's hi I'm Richard Bellas I've been doing magic for 22 years let's have a magic I perform is a mixture of eager close up sleight of hand or mind control if you get majendie off with dodger learn how to do magic that's pretty much my style last ones on the show I got royally busted mainly because I used an off-the-shelf trick I was cheeky a bit of fun first of all the whole study of psychology and implanting thoughts and people's heads is bought this time a bit different when I bring the best I've gone see the tape I came up with the idea for this routine in a dream of hood and this time a world for penance ever to cry and full Penn & Teller once he played the come back and ran do it again is verging on insanity so please welcome the very nearly mad Richard Bellas you he's quite clear last time we met you burnt me pretty bad and I deserved it I didn't try hard enough and it haunted me for a while until I had a dream of a routine that I could do to you guys she would meet again and so clear was a dream I went out and placed a bet on the outcome and that's where this case comes in teller would you mind looking after this for me place it on your chair and could you both join me up on stage every crate give me a hand guys this on the subway and also our new Jonathan as our referee the dream basically raised one question which was who would win in the challenge between Penn & Teller we know you work perfect as a team I want to know who's the actual talent so I devised a couple of challenges I'm hoping one of them is Wesley I can change it I can change it somehow the first challenge is darts if you played before I'd throw darts but yeah yeah come on over John if you stand here a couple of guys what we have circuit aboard 62 different sections of scoring up our rings double in the rings trebled your size work 50 and so on are you gonna get three dots each mm-hmm highest score wins you're gonna go first okay so there's your ducks okay as we say in darts it's game on Jonathan will keep score good luck wait for the high score right yeah absolutely actually tell you after what I'm going for one day I was born 40 I'm going to utilize Oh heads up one that's for one so you got 15 15 oh he's in the is that was its at 19 yeah so that's 34 24 give a hand I'll get those for you we won our chalk you still up oh good okay our 34 to beat you could get $1 good enough no pressure okay that's that's on the board you're paying American walls yes so just outside the triple 13 it's gotta get a double or treble or a ball another 13 26 26 the second game is more about using your mind so really should be more at your Street no events so this is like a really weird edition of the generation go we go so we come over - chatters - you guys which is over here I thought I wish when you stand other you stand on particular sides but penalties you have this side what you have you're gonna think you got 20 seconds to think of a six letter word then take the letters and pop it up on there six letter word six letter word take your time but the audience is going to decide whose is best by cheering the loudest okay so that would be circuits when T seconds starting from now go and I'd no idea whether go for and you're gonna be the judge so I love you so cheers yes so which word you think that's looking good how's he only things toiletries the better word there's a lot of love for toilet in the world see who likes hassle climb it old way yes little guys I'll tell if you drop me here pertinent you stand here for me ah there was a winner in my dream so we've got to decide this who's gonna be our our champions we'll do it how grown men should rock-paper-scissors okay okay okay I think you're gonna put your hand on your back and you can even do Scissors rock or Paper Scissors on three and a half to three okay one two three one two three Saxena wins paper over door opens Rock what we did was to have a prediction which you couldn't see the whole way through but you guys watching that one went over there and so on okay would you mind bringing that prediction up to a table and one more time guys can you give it up foot set up Bobby could you please click those open for me other wanna touch the locks inside here is something that you'll need in just a second army pick that for me I don't like where this is heading well if he's managed to get out there he is a magician no I think you've been a very safe place so I'll just could you would you haven't put on the German accent oh I've got this a little bit no here's nd um I kept it in my shoe and I was a bit nervous I was a bit sweaty I want you to go in after it okay okay so let everyone see I'm going to take this off feel fairly good there just pick that for sure dunes the laces and they can see inside tip it out the other one man inside there is a piece of paper there is and I want it to be very fair when you open that I have in my hands a play funny biz okay squirt on high kind of predicted what would happen right if you guys play darts if you guy did some words the dart score what do we get okay I'm gonna fold it over from a like a children's if you can see that this is darts pen scores 34 tell us cause 26 move down it it says words pens word how see how see tellers were toilet leg you see how to do paperwork scissors and cleaner you won the typewriters at the bottom tell our wings I guess dreams do come true I'll collect my winnings thank you very much you I'm hoping I'm hoping for people who aren't magic fans maybe tuned in saw some dark still great darts understated how confident are you do you think you fooled them I think I've done all I can to pull them over I have a knot is up to the hog pen don't just ignore me I'm not going you got work to do you got off no you this was hard we're onstage Bob that's the whole point it's meant to be hard come on eyes front tell us still thinking either that or he's got some wind guys that's enough time go beer that's uh what we have the reason it took so long is because we're having trouble and we are not by any means sure how it's done I believe you wrote the prediction yourself and I believe you used a some variation on a little thing that allows you to write in your hand secret latent and I think you're really really good at it teller thinks you couldn't possibly be that good at using that gimmick we both believe that the prediction went from your right pocket down your leg and loaded into the shoe I did not write it I'll be honest about that but I also did not cop it and I did not use my pocket assal did I use your pocket at all it never went down his leg then you sir even more than we thought have fooled us yeah he goes winter wouldn't it be awful if this was just another dream okay it's break time again but don't go away because we will be right back here with a trick we're pen in cases port Ellis head in a solid concrete block now that is a great Saladin idea see that yeah see you soon

Right around 5:20 when they are doing rock paper scissors, Richard suspiciously shuffles back to a point on the stage and places his right foot in a specific spot. Then right after goes to the box and places his left foot in a specific spot. My guess is that someone wrote two versions of the note with the other outcomes the same, but in the right shoe wrote Teller wins and the left shoe Penn wins.

There was someone hiding in that random box by the darts that slipped him the paper with the answers on it. My guess is he had something built into his pants that allowed the paper to go all the way down to his show. The briefcase was just misdirection.

He says he didn't write it, so someone else did. It would have to be made after the event, and passed to him. I agree the briefcase - or at least what's inside it - is a complete red herring.

Are there rules against who can help the presenter in Fool Us? Can the MC help? Can they have audience plants?

What about mechanical/electronic devices? Could he have worked up some device hidden in the briefcase to detect some signal and write the paper, then hide it somehow on the gloves to be retrieved when he touched the MC? Then as the MC distracts with putting on the gloves and funniness, he directed P&T offstage distracting them and allowing him to somehow get the paper into his shoe.

Apart from someone else writing, I was thinking he had a bunch of different results stored in different parts of his body. Different pockets, shoes, collar, belt, etc. The numbers being so seemingly random though kind of throws this idea out of the window.

Best guess: Someone is hiding in the box writing the results down. At 5:31 Bellars walks to the box for no reason and turns to face the action. The paper could be deposited in his shoe through a false sole. There's either a small trap door in the stage the paper could be pushed through or it's picked up from the floor of the stage. Also, if the paper had a dark backing it could be pushed out of the box onto the floor with noone noticing. There's a couple times where Bellars jerks his foot back quickly where he could be separating the dark backing from the paper. When his shoe is taken off the host is told to keep the laces forward which hides the false sole from him and the audience.

Teller waits way too long to throw his rock, which he then changed to paper after having a full second to register that penn is keeping rock
