so I recently made a video talking about how Roblox stopped caring about promoting good games on the front page I suggest you go ahead and watch that video If you haven't but I asked you guys to give me your favorite game on Roblox and you did just that I went ahead and picked the most recommended games for me to play all to answer one simple question that came up in my mind are underrated Roblox games actually good [Music] I will take the most recommended games in my comment section and I will rank them based on how good I think their gameplay is their art style and my overall enjoyment playing the game and I'll also be giving them a video game soundtrack equivalent because why not don't forget to subscribe and without further Ado let's [Music] begin combat initiation is a wave based shooter game heavily inspired by Ultra kill you and up to six other players fight waves of enemies using a variety of weapons each with their own branching upgrades the game is currently in beta but there's a good amount of stuff you can do in it I honestly really enjoy this one there are a lot of unique weapon synergies and it's pretty fun to play although it's a little too inspired by Ultra kill in my opinion a huge majority of the enemy types are directly taken from Ultra kill you even have a style meter you can Parry with your melee attack and uh this is just the knuckle Blaster dude what I like is the old Roblox esque art style it's fairly easy on the eyes compared to regular Ultra kill and the enemy types are very recognizable in total there are currently 30 waves of different enemies you can fight with a boss at every 10th wave my only real complaint with the bosses is that they don't die easily it takes so long to kill them which more or less makes them feel like a bump in the road rather than a fun part of the Run pair that with the jankiness of the Roblox engine and honestly they just kind of suck the fun part about this game is that you can change how you play it and what items you use every time it gives it a lot of replay value I guess you could say it's Ultra kill with Rog likee elements and as fun as that sounds it's very rough around the edges but it does have a lot of potential and I can't wait to see where it goes in the future gamep playay 8 out of 10 art style 7 out of 10 enjoyment 8.5 out of 10 I recommend playing this one with friends this is if the cyber grind song from Ultra kill was a Roblox game also just just the Cyber [Music] [Music] grind so this game's main message is that you will die a lot playing it and should use set deaths as a learning opportunity what it doesn't tell you is that it's trying to hide the fact that it's very convoluted on its own even with dying or not decaying winter describes itself as a survival and wave-based shooter with a heavy emphasis on individual as well as team performance and not failing you and up to four other players spot on a map get to explore it for a bit and find weapons and resources and at the end of each day have to fight progressively difficult waves of bad guys now why is this game convoluted it sounds pretty simple you may ask well go ahead and press K on your keyboard in this game so many am I playing ultimate custom KN what the is this okay I'm sorry it it doesn't look too good but what's somehow even worse is the fact that you don't actually learn much from your deaths at least in my experience how do you expect me to explore the map find weapons and understand the game if there are random dudes with guns just waiting to get me things might just appear on your UI without any real explanation there are a little too many methods of healing yourself please tell me me which one should I take the antibiotics or the medkit and why because I don't know in this clip it's my fault that I didn't notice the Trap but just look at how confused I look around after it goes off what that's a sign that I definitely understood what happened I'd appreciate it if I at least got some sort of message in decaying winter that would say something like you should avoid wandering from the safe Zone too far on your own or something like that I might try to give it another chance but uh yeah probably not gameplay 5 out of 10 art style 8 out of 10 enjoyment 2 out of 10 I'm all for games with in-depth mechanics but unfortunately I don't recommend this one decaying winter is the Roblox game equivalent of night soil from The Binding of Isaac repentance it just it could be better [Music] I honestly had some fun with this one but that's as far as it goes dummies versus noobs is yet another wave based shooter that although it has a more lackluster art style compared to decaying winter is way more simple to understand and the objective is clear you are a dummy you kill waves of noobs that evolve their technology the more you progress H I guess you could say this is like the skibbidy Toilet Wars eh okay okay I'm sorry I'm sorry this gave off the vibe of a game I'd be obsessed with in my childhood it's simple and repetitive and that's the formula you need to follow to make a decent Roblox game when I started playing I'd instantly get killed whenever a wave started but once I got the hang of how things worked I got pretty hooked that's not to say that I didn't get annoyed by the imbalance of the enemy types most of them are a little too strong and some of them just one tap you cuz why not all of this probably could have been excused if the game overall wasn't so godamn repetitive yes I said repetition is good for a Roblox game and new enemy types show up and you also fight bosses but it's a snor Fest there are some pretty fun tools to use but it's hidden underneath like 10 layers of grinding gameplay 6 out of 10 art style 6.5 out of 10 enjoyment 7.5 out of 10 I somewhat enjoyed this one so bring some friends I recommend it the most with friends I thought long and hard about a song equivalent for the this game and I think Boss 2 from Terraria works [Music] perfectly I'm going to start by saying that I did not expect to like this game as much as I did block Tales is a multiplayer turn-based RPG inspired by Paper Mario 64 and Earthbound personally I've never played any of these titles before but I can tell it does a good job at taking inspiration from them and also managing to be its own thing where do I begin with this game it just oozes charm all over the screen bro it's got Charming characters an awesome soundtrack really fun gameplay and it's a demo yeah that's right there's more to come with this game but it already has so much to offer I experienced almost little to no bugs playing it and honestly felt somewhat disappointed when the demo came to an end because I wanted more then the game came up to me and said you want more well we have it and proceeded to give me post game content like the pit which is basically this game's version of a Boss Rush post game content in a demo by the way now this is an actual goddamn game on Roblox not an experience not something stupid no this is an actual game there are no micro transactions No Loot boxes no playtime Awards it's just straight up an amazing passion project don't let the Retro look deceive you because this game has a lot of attention to detail it honestly gave me the vibe of if Toby Fox made a game in Roblox and I mean that in the best way possible I also have the most gigabytes of footage from this game gamep play 10 out of 10 art style 10 out of 10 enjoyment 10 out of 10 I strongly recommend playing this masterpiece as soon as possible you already know it's the forest maze song from the Super Mario RPG but as a Roblox [Music] game I got a lot of requests for this one and I honestly don't know why juke's towers of Hell or J toe for short is a platformer with an assortment of different towers that you must climb without checkpoints it's just hard Roblox obies but vertical I immediately thought of rage games when I first played this but at least rage games have some compellent mechanic or gimmick that you can Master but on Roblox platforming is dry as hell bro you just jump that's it and because of that this game gets really boring really fast it probably gets more interesting if you're better at platforming but I don't have the mental capacity to find out while rage games always keep me hooked and whenever I fall it's always a learning opportunity for future attempts in this game if you fall it's just annoying there's not much to learn from falling back down and returning to where you were almost feels like a chore some people probably enjoy this and there's nothing wrong with that but I don't and it's my video so yeah honestly there's not much to talk about regarding this game they technically have a difficulty progression system but in my opinion the towers are very imbalanced when it comes to the difficulty you'll have easy Parts made for babies squeeze between parts that make you want to punch a hole through your screen gameplay 3 out of 10 art style 1 out of 10 enjoyment three out of 10 if you like obies then go play this game but otherwise I do not recommend it personally this is just that one goofy ass song from batro was a Roblox [Music] game even though I'm pretty sure everyone knows about fighting at this point I figured I'd have to mention it it is one of the biggest names when it comes to underrated Roblox games after all oh the irony in that statement fighting is a team based shooter heavily inspired by titles like OverWatch and Team Fortress 2 now although it's inspired by OverWatch the game doesn't suck it's actually pretty good fun and there's a big cast of characters to choose from each with their own abilities and synergies unfortunately the Roblox shooter Jank Rule still applies to this game meaning that sometimes hits don't register properly or things just don't work the way they should and alike most other games I've talked about it's currently in Alpha Testing so problems like this might get fixed later on similarly to OverWatch though there are so many goddamn tryhards that just wipe the floor with you with a support class you know I don't support sweating at a Roblox game godamn anyway the game is is charming the characters look really cool and it manages to mix a retro Roblox look with modern elements very well gameplay 8.5 out of 10 art style 9.5 out of 10 enjoyment 9 out of 10 if you're a shooter kind of guy then I recommend giving this one a try this game is the equivalent of the song war without reason from Ultra kill on Roblox [Music] robot 64 is Super Mario 64 on Roblox uh the game is pretty fun though I can't lie but I have played it before it's been around for quite a while now the game play Loop is pretty simple you just go to a world collect as many ice creams as possible by doing wacky missions and platforming then go to the next and do some more platforming and that's all you do there's honestly not much to talk about here the movement works pretty well but there isn't anything all that special about it and to keep this video short I won't talk about the world's mechanics or anything like that gamep play 7 out of 10 art style 8.5 out of 10 enjoyment 8 out of 10 I recommend it it gives me the Vibes of dire dire docks from Super Mario 64 but if it were a Roblox game [Music] regret avator is a game full of silly goobers and silly things happen and it's so silly if you've ever played the normal elevator before this is just that game but with a modern twist it's surprisingly well polished and designed and I never really got bored of it if you don't know what this game is about you just hop in an elevator and a random thing happens on each floor you go to each floor is uniquely distinct and there's a bunch of them packed with references to other media or just fun and short mini gamess and hold up look at this it's the funny butterfly knife now this is how you make gameplay Peak Jokes Aside though there's lots of love put into this one NPCs might show up in your elevator and if there are multiple of them you might get a special custom dialogue between them which I honestly found really cool this game also promotes itself as a social hangout game although I'm too lazy to interact with other human beings so I play this game for the floors not the people very good game with a community even goofier than it gameplay 8 out of 10 art style 10 out of 10 enjoyment 9 out of 10 once again I recommend bringing some friends with this one it's definitely the song Wave dash. PPT from Celeste as a Roblox [Music] game super block 64 okay I think you can tell what this game is based on already this game is Just robot 64 but newer with extremely similar movement mechanics although this one flows way smoother than robot 64 instead of ice creams or Stars you go to Worlds to collect Player points yeah that currency that serves zero purpose on Roblox remember that while the game doesn't stand out too much from a visual standpoint nothing made me go oh wow that looks really cool the game play is good enough to make up for it it's not like they reinvented the wheel or something the movement is straight up taken from Super Mario 64 and that's where it slightly falls apart I did go ahead and get all the achievements and Player points that you can legitimately get as of writing this but would I play it again no I found the game to be fairly easy but that depends on your level of experience with Platformers the last World the game has to offer is called Starburst Galaxy which features a bunch of different challenge levels that are way more difficult than the previous worlds but those took me about 20 minutes to beat gamep play 7 out of 10 art style 6 out of 10 enjoyment 8 out of 10 I recommend this game if you want to find a fun little time waster going to be a bit creative with this one this game is if noisy notebook B from snipper Clips was a Roblox game [Music] I cannot believe this game was made in Roblox seriously although the graphics of this game could use a bit more tweaking since they're a bit too minimalistic for my taste neon Knights somehow makes me question whether I'm even playing Roblox or not the only real problem is that this game is in beta and it shows it's very lackluster in many different regards there's a lack of character customization a lack of interesting gameplay and a massive lack of sound design it feels very empty with there being little to no background music even though I see the vision for this game and I appreciate what it already has there's a lot of work that still needs to be done for this to be even just a bit good neon Knights is a Rog likee shooter type game you explore different areas and kill robots and that that that's it you shoot a few robots you fight a boss then you move on to the next thing you get some upgrades some new weapons and okay yeah it's kind of boring there's nothing too outstanding about its gameplay which is why I'm giving it a three out of 10 and the art style is a 7 out of 10 and my enjoyment 4 out of 10 as sick as this game looks I don't recommend playing it right now this is the undertale core music if it was a Roblox game [Music] I'm going to end this video with a game that some of you might have heard of a while ago get a drink at 3:00 a.m. the reason I included this one in the video is because the developer reached out to me telling me to play it and was super nice about it so I decided why not and I played it and I enjoyed it so this one's for you redom wave get a drink at 3:00 a.m. is a fairly simple game do I need to tell you what you do in it it's a fun Story game to check out that isn't made for one single singular playthrough getting all the different endings is a part of the process and this game practically demands you check out everything it has to offer you go on wacky quests discover zany things and stumble upon references to other video games or media all to get a drink at 3:00 a.m. now this isn't the first game of this type the get a something at an ungodly hour Trend used to be pretty big a year or so ago with games like this being popular for the variety of endings they have but it only takes about 2 hours to fully complete so if you're bored and want a Charming little game to play then this this is the one for you gameplay 8 out of 10 art style well 4 out of 10 enjoyment 10 out of 10 I recommend this one it's pretty fun and honestly a song that just gives off the vibe of this game is another hym from [Music] Delta so in conclusion a lot of underrated Ro games are very good although you can probably understand why they're underrated in the first place most of them are either too unconventional for Roblox and don't appeal to children or their still works in progress the unfortunate truth is that they'll probably stay underrated at least for a good while there's a reason why a game like Yeet a friend has more players than combat initiation and that's because Yeet a friend is pay to win and has extremely simple gameplay compared to combat initiation which has fairly in-depth mechanics and no microtransactions it's a cruel world we live in but sometimes you just got to move on let me know if I missed anything in this video and I'll probably tackle it at another point but for now I got to put Roblox down like I I got I got to put it down [Music]
