enjoyed Minecraft dungeons and Minecraft Legends I guess it's more like a an RTS for dummies but it's I think one of the criticisms of it even though it's easy is also difficult it's easy to get into a difficult situation in that game and that's been like the hyper critical part of the reviews I've been seeing so far but I'm definitely willing to give it a try because it doesn't seem less strategic as your general RTS game so okay yeah uh I don't think the uh the Minecraft Community even cares about reviews uh and don't most of them any of these games yeah because they mainly just play big planet right because I was playing Little Big Planet when it first came out there were levels and I we for the community has always thought that it's actual developers making levels as random users and or they have people like a select group of people because what these [ __ ] are able to pull off it's it's possible because you can unlock the tools and use them but the way these [ __ ] pull off these levels since a little big planet 1 is mind-boggling that they even know how to use it that way in the game and on dreams I play [ __ ] on dreams that felt like double A games like I there was this one game I remember I streamed it but my channel got flagged um it was like what'd you get flagged for I used to stream um I used to stream games oh I got I got flat because uh what was that last game Jack that came out that wasn't until dawn the one before me brother I was I was streaming the Quarry and it had some licensed music in it but over the years I always get flagged for music but anyway there was this game where it was like a Temple Run slash Tomb Raider slash uh it was it it was just amazing to me I thought it was crazy I really when I got this psvr too I was gonna go play Dreams again but unfortunately they haven't updated to where you you still have to use the uh Playstation 4 controller to even play dreams so when I got it on PS5 I was playing it with the old headset you had to get the PS4 controller out I wasn't trying to do that every time um and they had to update some of those games to work on VR and which is cool because there were certain levels that people made it wasn't for VR you can go into that level and make it VR compatible there was a lot of [ __ ] you could do on that game and there was a lot of very cool Niche experiences that people had and if you really played it you see it's not a bunch of [ __ ] that's just saying uh let's play Peggle I made my own version of uh tic-tac-toe no they had Jack and Daxter clones in that game they had um uh what was that other one that was that Sonic clones in that game there were clones of Sonic on that game that people were saying were better than what Sonic was releasing [ __ ] on PC make fake Sonic games that they feel like were better than what they released and Shout out right star so I say that to say although a lot of people don't when y'all see games like this y'all see it as a chore y'all see it as a job y'all see it as we need to do something I've never created anything ever ever in any media molecule game never created anything have tons of hours in it dreams and that genre of I I I will go double or nothing on this BET right now oh [ __ ] so okay let's move you there come here okay man all right let's do yeah let's do the the so The quick summary is uh the redfall account confirmed redfall is going to launch at 30 FPS for 4k 30fps on the Xbox series X 1440 p30fps on the series s uh the 60 the performance mode at 60 is going to come at a later date how later we don't know they didn't say it's probably not going to be soon otherwise they would have said it so maybe some months I would assume before the end of the year shouldn't take that long but uh sometime this year I would I would guess um and yeah it's it's just been a bad PR week for for redfall in general like the like the de Nuvo thing that's gonna have the new ball and PC then there was the IGN gameplay and then um and then the game is launching between tears of the kingdom and Jedi Survivor that ain't looking so good uh uh yeah so but the 30 FPS that's that's the thing the major thing that happened this week very mind boggling baffling confusing go ahead smooth world's most powerful console it makes no sense um I can't even defend it if I wanted to you know but the thing is is that yeah this is coming off the tail end of the whole IGN bad gameplay um the whole always online requirement that they needed to do when the progression system is just like a series of bad news kept coming on after every week there was like an update that for redfall that was not as promising um as it should be and then this one they just decided to put like yeah let me just throw this tweet out there uh to have it at this the way they put it is that there is no uh quality mode no not there's no quality there's no performance mode it was like oh yeah it's only launching with a quality mode only 4K 30 14 43 uh 30 when I when I read the tweet for the first time I had a similar reaction to BG I thought it was a PlayStation troll account just uh messing with me and then I looked I'm like what go check go check and then um look at where it says 60. I thought I was like oh the 60 I just wanna know what the resolution is gonna be for 60. I was like oh wait come in later um unfortunately this sucks this this really sucks I'm not worried about the other games that are coming out um tears of the kingdom and Jedi Fallen redfall is it's going to get literally outshined by a game like Dead Island too just just giving to you guys right now it's gonna get outshined by a game like that um and I don't I don't know how they felt comfortable doing this and the one thing yeah I called for a delay because I don't want to play the game at 30 FPS we consider the factors that redfall is an Unreal Engine 4 game so this is the last gen engine period right now it's the last gen engine and it doesn't it it doesn't have like the plague's tell excuse or the flight Sim excuse where the games look very very very good the game looks like a last gen game you know with a little more shine to it so it's not to me it's not doing anything technically sound where I would think it would warrant a default or I didn't think it even worn a quality or performance mode I just assumed the game would just launch at Dynamic 4K 60. that's it a first person shooter it shouldn't have a third a 30 FPS option period so um they they let it out and I think they're sending this game out to die unfortunately and that sucks that sucks so you know I I'm willing to concede that 87 meta uh critic prediction because I feel like this game is being hampered and the thing is I think what's gonna happen is the thing that's on redfall aside is that all the games that are coming out around it are more anticipate uh games and people are probably going to forego reviewing redfall if they have access to a game like here I don't know Jedi uh the Jedi game or the uh tears of the Kingdom game or whatever is coming out that same week so it's probably not going to be 50 review scores for the game and the people that do review the game might be a bunch of Xbox sites and that's the only chance I have of it being you know at a 87 or better but um nah this sucks I'm not actually I don't plan to play redfall on the Xbox series X until I get the x60fps so I'm gonna try it on PC and hopefully my PC can maintain but the last uh Bethesda game that I played on uh PC my performance was ridiculously bad and I still understand why so I don't have that same machine I understand why because Bethesda games run like trash yeah this sucks I'm hurting I'm hurting I'm really I'm I'm really am hurting about this because I redfall I'm more interested in redfall than I am Starfield so that that was a thing so it's like I already suspected star film probably is going to be 30 FPS but at least I think something at least I think it's doing something visually red 4 I had no doubt at all like it was no question right you couldn't ask me a question I was like all right I wanted to go on lunch with like 120 FPS more that's the only coach out there but no one's gonna be 60. it's got tears in your eyes so hold on if it's so if it does come out at 30 frames per second you know while they're boasting the world's most powerful console and they're boasting about how they're running a brand new engine this it still comes out at 30. you think that's gonna be acceptable because Starfield does not look like an amazing game by graphically I mean I think graphically it does look impressive I think I think it's there's a lot going on in Starfield and I do think visually it is a decent looking game it doesn't it doesn't look like a lashing game to me it does and for a Bethesda game I'll say this for a bgs a Todd horror game it looks visually impressive I can get beat by Super Macho Man whose gameplay is this it's my game no idea I don't remember um Punch Out gameplay listen uh my thing is man I I I thought about Phil Spencer I I won't have to make that decision yeah this is this is a this is a bit strange so it has it has minimum uh requirements like if you go to the steam page it has minimum requirements there are no recommended requirements you know what's also crazy though uh BG this game has the Nuvo so the PC Gamers aren't happy about it and you know what's even crazier this is the game this is the game that Microsoft said we're gonna start charging 70 dollars for yo and not not not um not a new Forza game not a new Gears of War game not a star flop or Flop field or whatever you want to call it they said you know what we're gonna do because what what was the first seven dollar Sony game like some amazing first party game the bottom line is the nerves of them to launch a 30 frames per second game and say you'll get the patch later and to charge you 70 is absolutely absurd this this is bringing yeah here's the thing though here's the thing though do you guys think this is kind of uh an online conversation and kind of situation because I've seen a couple developers come out and say you know most [ __ ] be switching it to performance on most playing performance anyway so they might be like hey man I'm [ __ ] them hardcore [ __ ] them dudes in the podcast and on the timeline my cat but you mean most people playing quality what's up yeah so I'm saying do you think no I think that's true I I do think most people play in quality I think they they confirm that I think that's true the live game start out on our resolution mode am I correct yeah they do because they want to show off it depends on how it depends on how much how drastic the graphics differences between performance and quality most games start off in the frame rate mode if they if it's still running 4K or if it's running like Dynamic 4K but it's a performance mode it's like like 1440p and lower then it automatically starts in quality mode and they want you to switch it in general or just Xbox because honestly no no in general General most games like when they have those options it really depends on the uh the resolution of the performance mode it usually actually now that I think about it most of the games that I've played in the past few months have been before you even start the game and ask what do you want your audio what do you want your settings to be they do it in the very beginning yeah a lot of games have done that too uh but like there is a fair share amount of games where you got in you have to go into the start menu and see what happens over there the way I felt mine I'm not sure if you guys know you can you can set up and the first two things that the first three things I do on any console game inverted disable motion blur performance mode all three times in every console game I am not playing at anything under 60. um this also brings into question the series s people are starting to question is you know after many conversations about it is the series s actually a problem right now and will it continue to be one it's not on the game right I don't think look at these look at these damn requirements on PC the [ __ ] it's a six they require six gig vram who's doing that in 2023. six gigsb Rams not a lot what are you talking about that's what I'm saying that I'm like it can't be the series s if they have a a minimal requirement of six gigs on PC I saw people say that like there's games right now that you're I asked out if you have an eight gig card like me yo I saw some people saying like it can't be cross-play I mean it can't be 60 on on X and then uh 30 on S but if that's not true it's cross play with PC Yeah Yeah well yeah here's the problem I have right if the game can run on the S in any capacity shouldn't it just automatically be able to run at 60 frames per second in the S settings am I am I am I weird about saying that or you're saying like scale it I'm saying whatever the S runs the game at because it has to run on S yeah right I should be able to run the game at 60 frames per second in the s's performance or Graphics settings yeah that's true that's true yeah what they did was they it it's 4K 30X 1440 b30s it doesn't make any sense to me it doesn't make any sense at all and and listen first impressions are the most important ones because there are a lot of people who are like if people beat the game how it launches they're not going to come back and try to play it at you know 60. the 30 frames is going to be you know what they remember in the game and it's like the game's Dead on Arrival it's like people who even come people may not even come back because by the time like you don't know when this is coming out this could come out but it's by the time people have just moved on that happens a lot people just move in like yeah you know it it depends on how long it takes the patch to come out it'll be months they can get it out within the first two weeks he's right the game's Dead on Arrival here's the thing why do you say that but what comes out a month before during and a month after this game Jedi Survivor and Zelda Zelda it's like the Discord it's over oh it's not going to be too I assume it's not gonna be two weeks because if if they knew this this was coming out two weeks they would have just said it yeah you probably right about that I mean like but yeah if it takes too long I mean yeah okay if if it comes out issue right y'all don't understand how much trouble Microsoft really is in Sony is literally fighting this year with one hand behind their back because they're doing everything to block this Call of Duty deal this let's just say hypothetically right this Call of Duty deal went through tomorrow there will be a state of play and Sonia would just be dropping Banger after Banger they got all they got all their their weapons in the garage they they're like uh what does Saddam have we had was hiding those weapons of mass destruction everywhere they trying to act like they got nothing rest assured Sony's got plenty of [ __ ] they just ain't showing their hand because they don't want to [ __ ] up this whole Activision deal but the second that deal goes through or the second that deal fails they lot a lot of stuff going on that I don't understand because you know I'm not necessarily a fan so you go ahead and break it down so I thought you was a Zelda fan with that cap you had back in the day but anyways let's go but what they showed usually what was you thinking bro that was crazy told me I could have bagged all five of your girls with that one what you mean dog boiler oh brother you know as I said all five they always go ahead Jazzy please go ahead I was waiting continue Jazzy continue oh yeah pretty much like this final trailer it's kind of reminiscent of like if you've seen the switch presentation breath of the Wild trailer where they showed like a lot of stuff into it that's pretty much what this trailer basically showed because here that you actually get the seed Ganon like his actual face because before like when they showed the sequel that when they announced it looked like a like a drought up he looked like tales of the creeper pretty much but now you actually got to see ganon's face and what he looks like too and you actually know who the voice actor is from Matthew metzer and in this trailer like in the very beginning you see like the uh construct which is one of the new enemies they have for this game he actually is fighting with another like the Slime enemy so it's very good that we actually get to see like some of the other like enemies actually interact with the turtle to actually fight each other so I thought that was actually pretty cool and like right after that we we get to see a lot more what the NPC is actually interacting with you while you're out in the world actually fight with you like some of the NPCs and when I actually find some of the other evil demon [ __ ] pretty much and we actually get to see some of the uh well not all of them are like descendants of like the Champions pretty much like uh rigi and uh Sada like mithia's brother he's actually fighting alongside link so I actually really think that's pretty cool so we it's obvious we're gonna get a lot more story than a lot of people led to believe it's just a lot of people were just wanting that meaty Pacific trailer then what we begin for the past few months even though I wasn't worried about it because it's a Zelda game this is like the most anticipated game this year from it for most people so a lot of people are fear-mongering of like the marketing wise like we don't know much about that that's why this whole narrative has been about it being a seven dollar DLC which if you thought that I don't know what to tell you you must be just started gaming or you just I don't know you won the whole game like pretty much up front with you because it was pretty obvious that this was not going to be just throw away DLC because they already did that with the uh the Champions DLC for the first breath of the wild game so we're getting a lot more emphasis on like um traversal see like more of like the master in the sky where he Lincoln actually jump on like little things and even though it's the some water demon came out on the ground so there's a lot more to this game than what we're seeing Jazzy I have a question oh wow sure are you are you not are you not sick of the same big Baddie in this game no what do you mean Ganon wasn't in the last game and this now but I was told just last week that Gannon gandal what's this what's his name Cannon it's like a variant because the other one the other one wasn't him because he had a blue pea coat on instead of like a hat or like it's the same no no no the other one was like called Calamity Gammon that's like the big cloud monster that was going around okay what do you even answer this question Alex have you ever played a Legend of Zelda game oh no I don't play double dick rider no have you have you ever finished or completed a Zelda game well my question was no my question was more so cute but there's nothing to ask then there you go you know what you know what I'm gonna respect that Jazzy my whole point Jazzy is this game seems to be correcting the problems I had with the first game there is nothing wrong with the gameplay in the first game outside of the salmon meter and weapon breaking the problems I have with the first game were the lack of dungeons I'm not a big fan of the shrines were cool but they should not replace actual dungeons um there are only four bosses fighting four [ __ ] giant Megazords so the dungeons were a problem the weapon breaks were a problem the stamina was a problem the lack of Story characters and an overarching main villain was a problem like until you get to the very end and even then it's just not even like there's no real antagonist in the game it's just a [ __ ] magical Cloud the fact that link is interacting with with NPCs in the world and other characters and things of that nature that's good and the fact that Gannon is back and like he's actually a focal part of the story that's good so right then and there they've already shot this game up to the top of Game of the Year easily yeah because I wanted to see how they even handled that story because the way that breath of wild is structured it's pretty much where you meet up like with Zelda's father like the ghost of like the spirit of Zelda's father to pretty much said that you can pretty much go right to Calamity Ganda if you want to and then you can interact and find the memories to kind of figure out what happened before uh link woke up found that cave so I'm very interested to see how they structured the story because I assume this game is going to be as open and free as just like the first game but we'll see unless you have to go to Pacific areas to actually get through the quest and stuff but it'll be interesting to see but I have no doubts about this game whatsoever also BG just got challenged to a fight oh anyway but yes I'm very excited about this game um outside of City skylines this is probably my most anticipated game of the year that trails in the reverie City skylines yep what's up City skylines is that this year yes it is Skylanders I need that I need that there you go see Tony got some gaming tastes unlike some other people yeah and even some of the the fuse option that you see in this game too and also different areas like one of the enemies you fight like he's actually on the actual cart and the uh looks like would be like a magma volcano area too so it feels like there's a lot more stuff they've definitely added to even some of the old Maps I believe where he actually feels like things that were not the same as before and even like in the trailer you actually get to see um Zelda I'm a damn an idiot where we don't know a character that kind of looks like Zelda but people are saying that it might be like a different version of her kind of looks similar to uh Wind Waker like towards the end of the game but we'll see how it is we'll see more when I actually play the game The Love Letter to gaming I have I have high confidence oh absolutely because I know when Metacritic scores come up a lot of people are in this community about to start down points at Mandy Creek don't matter uh this that and the third but no and I'm gonna win that bet with when the case game of the year yeah I mean I I would say by default it's game of the year or at least a front runner and even better is pretty much out to the second zeld of a generation Nintendo if tries to move on to different Hardware so here's hoping that after this game because I'm I'm surprised honestly that it's not um cross Play Because typically most Zelda games end up as cross play so I'm excited about that what Crosley no I'm not crossbow I'm sorry cross genius nah but we know it probably be I already know the switch dude is going to be backwards compatible already because they're still making games like Metroid Prime 4. we know that's going to be on there so it's just part of the course and plus they've already spent like much everything I think most people like weren't like crazy about watching this because people already felt like they've seen enough and they were already sold but I guess some people were not because they said the um the sales the pre-orders skyrocketed the day after uh this day to play so a lot of people actually went and pre-ordered it so I get I guess it served this purpose it sold me on it it wasn't so before it got me yeah combat combat looks good um the this seems to be a pretty a large game so some visually some things look look really good some things didn't like the environment and terrain like kind of looked like spooky some of those rocks had like no textures some of the some of those rocks look look like they froze it was from for spoken like some of the environment you know just to put that but like other things look looked really good the combat uh some people have problems with that the the the Final Fantasy purist I guess who believe every you know uh all the Final Fantasy Final Fantasy games should still be turn based um they are not a fan of this uh real you know this real-time um action DMC style because he he was looking like Virgil in in that in that gameplay looking just like Virgil um yeah and it just looks really good looks really impressive yeah this has been like the best showcase that this game is Jazzy looks like it sounds cool with me yeah or sounds like you were underwater brother um but yeah the game the game looks good man I'm not the the only thing I'm like just not I guess thrilled about that doesn't really get me hype is like the it's just a setting I think they said this game takes place over his 20s 30s and my I'm not sure if they said 40s but there's going to be time jumps right there's going to be time jumps in in the story um and just you know the whole medieval setting is not something that I'm like super hype about and um I'm sure the story is going to be cool I think most people are definitely most excited about the combat you got you know the combat with Clive you got the icon combat where you get to fight his fight with the summons and all that that is completely Unga Bunga you know just to call spade
