Dark Souls 3: Strength Build Invasions!

know if it's like twitch we have to do that before hey what's up guys today we're going to be doing some strength invasions here is the build for today um yeah there we go just looking at my weapons here also okay we're good that's the stats on the right there for you guys yo what's up rico yo what up trace hello how is everyone's weekend how was your days the power of youtube red nice nice i don't even have that actually let's just warm up with an invasion uh y139 so i was doing 140 recently just because i seen prod and lost and a few other streamers doing it for fun and they were actually getting a lot of team invasions so i thought i'd give it a try and then chat told me to try 139 since it still hits a lot of the medical level and also hits the higher solos so it's like i get i get the best of both worlds here so i've just been doing 139 in the past couple of days hey what's up nicholas how good is your day the elden ring soon yeah man uh two months ish i guess a little over because it's like february 25th but yeah we go it has man see i always loved like 120 and 125 builds but like lately it's been a little bit inactive so um if you go like around like 133 139 you still hit those soul levels and you get people that over level so you get you get both so i've just it's been pretty busy no i know i think 120 125 will always be like the the the regular meta this is just for activity while still being able to hit up the player base yeah 133 still completely fine honestly the stat that i put into this didn't really do much for me i just added the three extra levels to like endurance and one decks and a few more vitality points they weren't very important stats oh yeah it's monday it is monday i know i still enjoy soul level 90. uh i just also enjoy the weapons that i can use at meta you know what i mean hello safira what's up like i can't use lido's great hammer at soul level 90 well third dragon center great acts or like a few of the other weapons on my quality build so we're trying out the past week i've just been like in the meta and higher yeah i'll give you a gift you seem to not want any fights you can have my amber sleeping witch i'm doing good today though man doing good i i just woke up recently to be honest yeah superior just uh vibing by the bonfire so we'll leave them be also uh i recently used the setting on my my gpu to sharpen my game let me know do you guys like the way look at the way the game looks right now okay and then i'm gonna sharpen it by doing display capture do you see the difference which one looks better for the stream i'm not really sure what people prefer but i'm trying out the the sharpening scale looks good i think and then off would be my game capture again crisp right you can see the rock texture is better it's so good okay i'll use display oh but damn when i use display capture though you guys sadly see that i play in windowed mode and it's at the top so i might just keep that to recording since you don't catch that maybe the streams will stay regular damn that's annoying i wish i could have windowed mode and have it like full screen windowed you know like borderless windowed doesn't seem to work though too over sharp i can always play around with it and like less sharpen it no i play windowed because i get more input delay uh caitlyn full screen i have no idea why i don't know if it's my gpu settings but my input delay and my game overall just looks so much better winded i've always played windowed i do i do shaggy i do remember hd extra crisp you play on windowed mode too yeah honestly it's weird like most games that i play i play full screen windowed i don't like full screen because like you have to manually tab off the game to use your mouse and stuff whereas when i played windowed like this i can just uh slide my mouse left and right off my screen i don't have to tab out of the game so it's better for streaming gtx problems is it we go yeah maybe we need to fix up our nvidia settings to have it prioritize performance to quality maybe yeah it's mostly the tabbing to be honest that's a one of the big oh damn hang on a second here wait you're gonna fly back just install a reshade yeah you could do that but reshade makes your game a little bit laggy when you run through uh doorways i find because it has to reshade the shaders every time you go to a new area so i don't like using your [ __ ] come back here boys no of course of course hello hello lapis bom bom on my lap you're gonna fall down that hole and i'm gonna plunge you oh oh i got an first you know what now you guys got me thinking it's a little bit too sharp on my own screen let me just filter it down a little bit to like 70. there we go double kill let's go that was pretty good uh but yeah caitlyn i did try that fps thing a long time ago it has a lot of issues though like i can't run up and down staircases a lot of my chat told me about that fps thing a long time ago might give me an excuse to practice pvp if you are hey let's go reuben i hope i honestly hope the pvp comes out great uh the network test i would say didn't really hold up to dark souls 3 but you know they they have potential if they could fix the few issues it had literally insane i play on pc jacob uh let's go with some bonk stick action shall we wait where did he go maybe my vertical hearing is terrible in video games because i never know if they're below me or above me wait this means he ran by here right uh yeah i use a ps4 controller do you r3 when doing pivot backstabs i do not owe it no uh the way i pivot i usually just like run behind and i turn my character i don't i don't lock on fire it kind of messes with my vision because it rotates the camera when you lock on so i don't do it um okay let's go this way lacking the aspect of combos i think strength is going to dominate the meta voice traits are a lot scarier if ducks can't hit more than once that's kind of true yeah in a way it is because like light weapons don't get their true combo well any weapon doesn't get a true combo where did this guy die so the only thing is if they're very slow weapons like ultras they're easier to dodge but then there's like the passive poise i really won't know until the game comes out what build i want to start with or think might be the best at first that's a good that's a good guess honestly roone thank you man i appreciate that always strength i do love strength builds though they tend to have some of the more fun weapons but uh elvenar has like the twin blades and a few other weapon types so it's gonna be different for sure uh yeah me too nicholas otherwise i mean the backstab is pretty much useless they should remove it if they don't at least fix it a little bit [Music] far as we know of him from all the weapons that we got to test in alden ring none of them had like a a combo chain like light attack light attack or heavy heavy you could uh sort of roll catch but they they can just like attack you at every frame almost when they all spam but if you do land a combo on them they're probably dead so you just gotta be patient underrated weapon i absolutely love um i mean i love the black knight great acts and i don't see people use it often so i guess it's kind of underrated i use it a decent amount though so it's not like underrated for me you spawned right in their back you did like right behind the tom i didn't even know where you spawned at first that's funny oh the stats no problem i am there you go the tailbone weapons are that's true a i agree they're really situational i wouldn't say they're like the best weapons but their weapon arts are really useful so they're pretty underrated [Music] offhand poker yeah it is really good i just tend not to because i like using webinars on my strength build especially uh so i like having a bare hand for weapon arts on my dexterity build i do that a lot or i'll have a shield on it just not really much on my strength build um i'm gonna use more bunking yeah they are they are more like tools when people like corner camp you could wind so good yeah the black knight great axe is like does high damage but its stamina consumption is pretty high and if you miss you can get punished pretty easily so you gotta play it a certain way bonk this the semen demon okay okay i'll give you that much wait what's need to aim super low though because the fog wall like distorts the shot that's fine if he wants to be a baby he can be a baby the true giga chad havel yeah it does work you can't hit them through it but it's hard to aim i've done that in the past you can kill for his first phase that way really if you've never uh entered the fog wall or does it have to be activated uh there was just like two invasion event was it like someone hosting or people somewhere organizing some event uh yeah that's true you can't the boss can't take damage i've seen some uh pve runs where they glitch out uh the abyss watchers as well where they did they just stand still in the boss fight i think that's an interesting one i don't know what they're doing but that's true lots of bosses don't have the fog wall so you enter for the first time interested in a fun invasion event got one on my radar that would be fun done by new frame plus i like the name that's funny um wait wait i'm gonna check up here quick because sometimes i get screwed where i roll down and they're just up here okay we're chilling very good big night spear let's go with the ring knight spear oh they are there oh wait how funny would honestly it's i don't i don't find a lot of people use the bonk if anything i mirror them just for fun but i wouldn't call it the best weapon you just need to not panic to not get roll caught by it the reason a lot of people are getting caught by the walk forward bonk is because they just keep hitting circle when they're stunned um as long as you don't spam circle and dodge on reaction you'll be visuals work in those elevators sometimes is like right near the door frame it doesn't load the player model so he like walked out of the doorframe and then became visible or something i have no idea why he was invisible on the elevator though it was really weird it's really funny though that's funny ah not me taichi i mean yeah everybody has like a favorite game style you know that's like asking like like do you get caught or tired of playing like first person shooters some of them are slightly different but they're ultimately the same so if you enjoy the core mechanics of video of a game i don't think you'd ever really get tired of it like if they made a dark souls 4 with the exact same mechanics as dark souls 3 with just new maps and a few new weapons and stuff i would play the hell out of it you know same with eldon ring coming although i think it needs a little bit work mechanically to be as good as ds3 pvp wise but um it depends so if you're if you're trying like mid to low level i i try not low level sorry i only really go mid to meta like 90. at 90 i i aim for 37.6 to 40. so 37.6 poise allows you to trade with a great sword swing once with your own greatsword um i think 34 point something poise lets you roll and tank like a light hit from a straight sword or a curved sword if you have full poise like if you roll on someone curve sword r1s you you'll you'll take the damage but you won't get stunned so like i like that poison mount minimum and then 40 is just for like ultra weapons and stuff i can trade with ultras and stuff with ultras uh yeah rentaku so i i think that taking out the the true combo of weapons really dumbed down the pvp a little bit just personal opinion i think landing one r1 at a time and r2 just makes the fight take a lot longer than it should i like dark souls 3's mechanics where if you get a light attack you get a follow-up helps progress it along in speed i would say otherwise you have to hit that opponent like 10 times 11 times with a light weapon it just takes long and if you're fighting outnumbered that's even more challenging whereas like dark souls 3 invasions work when you're outnumbered because you can still sometimes land a pretty hard hitting combo even when fighting 1v3 you know and that will that could be a game changer if you don't have any burst damage in a game like this um it'll be really hard to fight outnumbered like extremely hello kyrie oh yeah cora has all the elements that's right i almost went to re-watch cora recently it looked like a good time although we haven't seen all the weapons yet in the game i only got to test out what was in the network test so oh damn you frost bit me sauna's frostbiting okay bring that big sword on me daddy okay that sounded a little bit a little sus just a little sus wind bomb see us as elemental well you know i'm just a normie i don't have fire bending i have i'm a metal bender that works right because i have weapons technically a metal bender haha interesting and profane flame is really cool though uh dark and deep have the same damage type secret it's just that uh dark scales off of your stats so if you have a build that has intelligence and faith then you want to use dark because it'll it'll get more damage but if you just want to have dark damage and you don't have the stats for dark damage you can use deep if that makes sense but deep in fire oh my game just crashed ironic uh dark souls i i've learned that uh running the game as admin might help that but i don't know if there's any risks to that since you know sometimes you come across cheaters in dark souls i don't know i don't know i don't know if i want to give dark souls 3 admin i might try it one day though put an anti-cheat first yeah i mean the game's always crashed on the iron keep bridge that was really it it was very like because i hadn't played any of the other souls games and dark souls 2 was my first it felt great then but watching it now and like seeing it it's very slow it's very like clunky and slow in my opinion i know a lot of people love it it's it's much more of like a slow-paced pvp though which isn't my favorite like it's kind of the reason that i didn't really like demon souls that much it definitely felt like more slow i like ds3's combat speed dark souls 2 is turn based no it's it's definitely like an in between i like it more than like the passive poise the ds1 had um but yeah if you love the slow pace nature those two are your go-to games for sure definitely more slow and methodical the s3 is more reactionary in speed which i i just personally prefer i don't know maybe we go i reset it right there maybe it broke when my game crashed i do have elden ring pre-ordered i'm with you um i wouldn't say it's made harder it was made first so it's a shorter game um i wouldn't overall call it harder i don't think so very similar to me uh elden rings like it is it is very speed wise the same as dark souls 3 but changing like the fact that no weapons have a combo that we know yet like a real like light attack to heavier like weapon art or like r1 to r1 combo it slows down the pace of the fight to where i still prefer dark souls 3 but it's close like the movement is clean um it's just lacking a few things that i think could fix it fixing the backstops actually work in combat the crits um giving weapons a combo so you light attack again so it's like light attack weapon art light attack and it looks like this this is r1 weapon art and then you finish with the r1 again or light attack if you're like using a keyboard the heavy attack one ends like this they're both true combos just this one leaves you vulnerable longer uh and this one i can combo out of sometimes like they'll get it by that and then i could r1 times in one year uh but everything above 90 starts to like taper off a little bit so 90 is like the most active build almost complete to meta soul level and then you can go meadow which is like 120 to 133 and that's like almost as active as 90. a little bit less um and then the range that i'm in is 139 which just hits meta on the low end so i get all of meta and then i get the higher levels as well but once you go to 140 and up you actually miss out on the soul level 125 hosts so i would say it starts to taper off a bit not much but then if you go like above 160 you're really going to start hurting yourself like in terms of how much activity you'll get so i'd say like 120 to 139 is more active than 140 like you guys told me in chat just because it it invades 125 so uh the fps on locker stretches the screen to full screen yeah but the fps unlocker sucks dk at least in my experience chad asked me to use it one time when i was doing a mod run and if you run on any uneven surface like this um even this you run in place so you can't go upstairs with an installed like if i can't anyway i know a few other streamers have tried it amir said it worked for him when he tried it but i tried it for like a good run like the mod run and it it [ __ ] up oh but leave it locked at 60 oh that's a smart [ __ ] idea i didn't even think of that oh [ __ ] i'll give that a try wow i'm so smart yeah bunch of colors for you to download there i recommend purple and green they look really good uh yeah i've done a real glass cannon in the past it depends though like the dex one that light rolls yeah i've tried that oop the rainbow one does that one actually work by tyrion i wasn't sure i've tried the rainbow one like when church was working on it but i haven't seen it since oh i see what you made yeah really like all the visual effects are lightning fighterian damn i have to look at it then i haven't seen that one i only seen the one color one i don't know if i've seen the rainbow actually work properly i'll take a look on the nexus page uh we've tried to make black like flame and black lightning it doesn't really work because you have to the color scheme in dark souls 3 is really weird for the effects when you try to make them dark they get more invisible sadly so like if i tried to make blackfire um just by recoloring it it just becomes like invisible fire if that makes sense yeah
