[Music] [Music] it's the toughest beach race in the world 750 amateur and professional riders will line up for the final [Music] an all-new feature pack track will demand everything from the athletes with an epic sting in the tail the mystery X loot gear up the grand finale of the 2018 world enduro Super Series this is Red Bull knock [Music] [Applause] hello and welcome to the 6th edition of the red bull knockout we are back at the Hague the fans have come out in their thousands for what is without question the toughest beach race on planet earth now today we won't just be crowning a knockout winner it's also part of this year's world enduro super series the final round now Billy bolts and Manny lettenbichler come into this final round separated by just 275 points so it's all to play for we will crown the first ever west champion here at the beach on the hague let's take a look at exactly how we got to this point in the championship so far the world enduro super series started in Portugal at extreme XL agura's when Billy bull cross the finish line first to win the opening event of the newly established series round 2 took the riders to the infamous Hertzberg rodeo Red Bull hare scramble we saw nail-biting finish between Johnny Walker and Graham Jarvis in the end the silent assassin came out on top only five days after the Iron Giant the first classic enduro of the season awaited the treflan Azarian amv in France was a hard time for the west favorites only Spain's Joseph Garcia got on a roll took a third place overall the 15th edition of the Red Bull Romaniacs saw two legends dropping out of the race due to illness both Mizzou's yak and Jarvis received zero points and paved the way for the youngest ever Romaniacs winner a young Red Bull 111 megawatt turned this season upside down with the overall West leader Johnny Walker crashing hard in the main race as a consequence Walker had to end his season coming to Hawkstone Park for this year's first cross-country race it was young gun Manuel lettenbichler meeting the overall championship with lily bulb close behind but for the rest of the season it's the playground of Nathan Watson especially Joseph Garcia young Spaniard dominated in Britain and took his first ever win now it's his time to catch up Nathan Watson came second and scored valuable points for the overall local riders once again ruled at the Gotland grand national with an all Swedish podium the only non Swedish rider in the top ten was Poland's Taddy Blazusiak who came in fourth for the overall Billy bolt is still in the West lead 275 points ahead of manual lettenbichler Joseph Garcia sits in third 445 points back it will be a three-way battle between these names as Blazusiak will not be attending the final race of the season [Music] there is so much to play for today Billy bolts mani lettenbichler or Josep Garcia one of those three will be crowned West champion let's talk about the knockout though now as I said earlier this is the sixth edition the last edition 2016 was an absolute belter Jeffrey Herlings was present and when the Sandman's around everybody better watch out Renville knockout has noticed the toughest beach race in the world the last edition took place in 2016 and saw many amateur riders battling through the Dutch stands [Music] 20:16 saw many crashes amongst the competitors but there's no time to rest at all get up again and fight through one hour 55 minutes of race time [Music] battle for second place was tight as Nathan Watson and Glenn coldenhoff went flat out side-by-side [Music] but it was another guy from the Netherlands who dominated in 2016 Jeffrey Herlings was unstoppable so in 2016 everything went really well you know I want more qualified I need so it was actually a great event great racing and you know the Gauri r11 and the special winning that final was pretty amazing so Jeffrey Herlings winner here at the Red Bull knockout last time in 2016 critically he's not riding this year so keep your eye on Nathan Watson milk iPod to sake of course we've got Camille chapelier and of course Glenn coldenhoff as well he finished third in 2016 we were last here now the track has evolved as it has done every single year it is unquestionably the toughest track we've ever seen at the knockout let's have a look at what the riders are in for the last race of the 2018 world enduro super series takes us to the beach of sceva new total length of 4.5 kilometers the track features various obstacles the riders will start in front of the famous pier and blast into a two kilometre straightaway The Joker loop has to be taken at least four times during the race throughout the track challenge after challenge awaits pros and amateurs alike including the infamous galaxy John a pit-stop is possible during the race but time is of the essence for the last hour of the mystery X loop opens its gate the final challenge before the race and ultimate enduro champion is crowned at Wes so that's what the riders are in for the X loop is back remember it's only the final hour of the race and believe me that can turn the whole thing on its head it did do that in 2016 another point this year is the introduction of the Joker loop now they've got to go through that four times at least four times so we caught up with Robert Robbie Maddison motocross legend and Greg Atkins the man responsible for this track to find out a little bit more about what they've set for the riders [Music] g'day i'm robi medicine here with legendary track builder the man behind the madness Greg Aikens Greg this is an insane track well it's it's a masterpiece that I come up with and it's really to get guys like you stomped and Stuckey out there is my dream to punish you guys basically and hopefully I succeeded this time Robbie I threw in the Joker Lane there just to make it a little more confusing for you guys because here you're out there on the bike was so long you got to run at four times basically and it's at a random period so you can run it whenever you want Robbie inside that thing it's gonna be a hell of a mess in your bike so good luck when you got to go in there though so the X loop there it's not the entire race you have to do that it's how do we know like when we're racing when you when we have to go through that yeah we're gonna intersection built there with a bridge that bridge will be sitting on red the whole time and once it alight Stoke blew that open and we closed off for the following normal lane for you it looks mean it is mean the hills in there about four meters tall right and there's about 45 50 million yeah that's about that we were running for 250 meters and straight of them and we're around four and a half meters deep on them once you get to that it's a 90 degree turn then we come back to a minefield of tree logs there goes another 250 meters which is also got an X inside it just to make a bit of confusion with you because really the key points go to the centre but that's obviously gonna be a horrible bottleneck with holes digging in it so you're not trying to run the outside then the last hour is that loose yeah you get a hole out of paint don't wait thank you so much for building an amazing track I'm excited to deal with your masterpiece right on it is without question the toughest track we've ever seen and that's one of the great things about the redbull knockout every time we come here it just gets more and more difficult now this morning we started with a thousand riders believe it or not when the entry list opened in 40 minutes it sold out - we start with a thousand riders this morning we had heat one to get it down to 750 riders for this final let's take a look at exactly how the action unfolded earlier today a thousand riders then came down onto the beach for the red board knockout qualifier and the top end on the foot off the grid there all of them like number 57 Billy bolts seeking the hole shot but the mono really made it count wasn't the pre-race favorite Glenn coldenhoff the local star the hero of the motocross of Nations putted a colossal first lap and fought well clear but confusion was to follow especially at the huge galaxy job it was absolutely riddled with parked vehicles desperate riders nobody going anywhere very quickly but Milko 40sec winner at the 2k at the beginning of the season did make a move the Frenchman got to the foot on his Yamaha and not possibly to have it in the bag but after a very late pit stop number 91 on the Red Bull KTM Nathan Watson closed in dramatically on the Yamaha and within sight of the flag he dived past Pro to take on the right-hand-side beat him to the checkered flag and took the win just over three minutes to go before we get the redbull knockout 2018 underway in just over two hours time we will crown a champion will it be Billy bolts Manny lettenbichler or Joseph Garcia and remember the favorite for me on the sand is Nathan Watson we caught up with both Nathan and Billy earlier on yeah I hope so obviously I've done it twice I'm experienced at this race yeah by the some good success here but keep finishing second and again tired of it say yeah I want to be on that top stair and it would mean a lot as well to win an actual round of the West series and this is the one beach racing is your speciality Nathan yeah definitely I've been looking forward to this one since to start the season so you know it's my favorite type of race I love it only I want to go out with a good result now Weston was good practice but I think this is definitely another level to be honest there it's so much deeper that is so much crazier to be honest it is definitely eye-opening out there how dense it is with the other riders the lapped riders because they're going so slow and it's so soft they can barely go in a straight line and you're trying to pass them flat out it's so sketchy so main plan is to just finish in one piece safely today I think if we can avoid trouble clashes there are other people that there is all should be there should be good enough so just try and stay safe and get home to the finish line we're looking for the ultimate enduro rider what would it mean to you to be the first ever west champion Billy huge you know like you say is a mixture of so many different disciplines spend a long championship with lots of races lots of different kind of races sort you know to be out the top commander just be massive you know we've worked worked hard in the last year improved so much from where I started and you're just a few years ago so it's just relieving that everything's paying off and everything's working so beer be nice that's for sure we're pretty much ready to go down here as you can hear behind me the riders are fired up their engines believe me there is an incredible atmosphere when you've got 750 bikes all giving it the beans on the start line now we've got to get out of the way guiding you through the race action this afternoon three legends Jack vertical Rob Warren and a man who should have been racing today mates out through injury Shani Walker it is indeed mr. Jonathan Walker alongside me here in the comms booth and they size 12 feet of Rob Warner we've somehow shoehorned him in as well for the next couple of hours of redhot action we virtually got two races in one we've got a decent pair find out who's gonna win that the Red Bull knockout of 2018 and we got to find out who's gonna be crowned the world enduro Super Series champion definitely the boy from Wallsend in Tyneside Billy bolt is the pre-race favorite as far as wes is concerned the world enduro Super Series crown but that man we glimpse number 91 Nathan Watson second on the last two occasions here at the rail but red bull knockout and second ATLA 2k on bike number 91 the Red Bull KTM in February of this year we'll be looking to finally get on to the top step of the box Johnny Walker who is your do you have a pre-race favorite here can you give us one yeah hello everyone it's nice to be here and yeah Nathan Watson's my number one favorite place win this is where my money is is on him so I think if all goes well for him he should be able to put it on the top spot he did have a phenomenal battle with Glenn coldenhoff in 2016 which he actually edged the half out of saw that light in his favor he won the qualifier the start is going to be so crucial here on the line it was a wreck got a food truck over the gate and they were speakers cold enough away the man who led the Smalley under get maybe that they's Mazen Watson getting that waiters far back over the back wheel as he possibly can as they hit the 2 kilometers straight and all of them pretty cleanly away but the men at the front of the men who count and if we not at the front then you get a fearsome bombardment from the shells and the sand [Music] to 5/9 Glenn coldenhoff we expected him to make a ripping start once again and both of those Red Bull KTM there's coldenhoff and in between them you could see the number 65 have picked up Rossi a who surprises with his speed of qualifying this morning look how rough this stop is there's been no smoothing out here since the qualifier fastly going down that starts about two kilometers and it's just gone by in a matter of seconds here they are under the rough stuff already 100 miles an hour they top it down there that's just fearful still cold and Ava's got the start and this is what the opposite should perhaps didn't want to see because they can't let him escape too far and do a bit of a Herlings from 2016 try and stay with it now as best they can already rough and qualifying the smaller in this track but you've desperate to be out of front because they're going to get to some Stoppers on this opening lap where there's gonna be some fall neck so the lead riders have got to get through and thus and ever so deep a Johnny it's definitely difficult and cold enough you know you can see him pushing really hard and that's Nathan I think beyond him and he's gonna push so hard early on in the race because this is what he's good at you know his overall speed out front double in through these massive whoops I mean they are incredible he's to power there in 2016 looks like it might be the same today next one Watson said he tends to go for it very early on there's me Johnny he says you can kind of hang on by the skin of your teeth late in a race but you just put everything into that first hour and a half yeah definitely he's definitely got a stick with cold enough beer because his he's riding motocross all the time you know his pace is really fast early on you know for the first 30 minutes and then we see Nathan Watson come over that brow just there but horrible vomit I thought he got down but certainly then he wasn't as close to call the knot as I expected there's not giving it big airtime over the finish tabletop and you know Tavis or former's is cold enough ani feet Jeffrey Herlings at the last race that rock West's nation of three weeks ago his motocross of Nations performance at Red Bull in the USA was simply sensational he blew the world away in two races and they really never saw the tray where there is what's enough glad to say he's just made a bit of a meal of something but he's still in there behind called the la flaca called the not very accuracy with which he's able to deal with those that is incredible Bruno's a triple-double in through those unbelievable in this deep sound like that you can relax dutchman of course accustomed to riding Sanders all their tracks are generally fairly sadly it being a fairly sandy country the rain is beginning to comprehend ttle Martin's running in third place on the Rockstar espanha so gentle Martin's appearing at and that he is a bit of a threat he's the joint leader with milk or pot isaac of the french sun racing championship after the first two rounds at Wiktionary large extent leave that some finished second to be opening gladly up seriously that was Billy bolts come through that's he's running up front and there's Manny behind him so that's the to go over world enduro Super Series title today so we'll keep an eye on those for the afternoon if you watch sniffing on here you'll go right to the the see the water line where the sun's a bit harder than it is on the inside because they weren't telling me there's a lot of routes and the bikes can crossed in the books because it's so hard like the sampler yeah probably Madison told us that he said that like he was pride in a hundred K down the state and riders just literally crash it out for no apparent reason just because the ruts grabbing them so but look at the fight to stack we're playing in down and look how big the tanks are how many field stops do we know these guys are doing the self because that's going to be pretty critical date the KTM tough 14 litre tank so what's plan is 12 and a half liter and I've Huskies therefore definitely have to do two stops with Katie n Johnny think they might get away with one yeah they've done a lot of homework and they they told me they're only gonna go for one stop and the Husky guys and a spokes and so like Billy he's gonna go for two stops just to make sure you know for the championship really gets it brings at home this is yet told Martin T is the son of the 1993 World 500cc boardercross champion jockey Martin's almost as tall as the 6 foot 4 inch jockey as well Yentl Martin's joint leader of the French Sun rated chubby chip won his first major Sun race the opening round at Burke's Umair just three weeks ago so he's on Form he's running in third place ahead of Camille chapelier October under Sun at the 2015 winner is in fifth place Craig Smits son of five-time world motocross champion chose meds in his first-ever sand race meeting is in sixth place ahead of Milko pot Isaac Jamie McCanney the Manxman is 8 Daymond Martin's no relation is ninth a spend Vandermeer Dan in 10th place checking further down Steve Ramon double world motocross champion running in 16th place Joseph Garcia in 18th place Billy Pont in 20th Todd Kellett winner of the western beach race just a couple of weeks ago for the 3rd time running in 21st place and he and his dad nips and headed back overnight to compete at Skegness than the beach race there he lived into tomorrow complete another madness so called the common barking is way around at the front this is Nate and Watson former winner of the western beach race and the reason that Nathan saw enjoyed getting the better of bill called project this morning in that qualify it was that project beat him in the ATLA 2k in February so their mates out on the track and Nathan his dad they must be the only father-son duo to ever win Western yes credit off meet one except Mason's father won it five times including a hat-trick it appeals to a special heart beating des Thorpe who was a three-time world motocross champion you could see some people don't get into quite as racy opposed as others do you like to get crouched down doing a road racing polls on the on the two kilometers straight John yeah I do just looks good for the pictures I'm coming through can you see it cold enough on the left they're coming through all the carnage I mean they're already into the pack Marco this is the Karman to beat race and that's starting to unfold already yeah it's got to be hard to come through if you make a mistake you know and you lose a bit of time someone crashes into you you know there's a lot so much can go wrong in a short period of time and of course you've got to look after the bike in these conditions you know they're war called the radiators gets full of sand they're not going that fast of the bikes overheat quite easily the clutches go through it there's a lot going on out there a lot of reasons to stay out of trouble for sure yeah the guys a KTM they have they have like hose pipes as soon as you come in they'll give the the radio is that a clear out and then we'll be off again you'll see if you like steaming up this afternoon that like I put a Carol on when confidently you've got in the lead at the moment you've got to make some you must have to make some pretty split second and late decisions as to which way to go around opponent to your laughing they don't really know how much control they've got over the motorcycle themselves or let alone where they're going to go it's so difficult because they're going they're swerving you know it's not like they do not on purpose but you know it's so hard to ride in the sand if you put a bit too much weight on the front you know it'll pull over to one side and if you're committed to that line there's nowhere that you can really go and have them into someone so definitely makes it difficult so I see him there go through that gap you know he's probably doing 190 miles an hour now chopping the tongue in old-fashioned torn-up terms and you catered at the end at the end of dinner last night I said to him good luck tomorrow enjoy yourself and he said I'm already enjoying myself he's just loves this whole weekend so pulled it off then Ripper oh and as a collision that's just an an indication of what can happen who could have predicted that that rider would have virtually high-sided himself into coldenhoff hafidh nightly rounds at bounced off kagra no yeah didn't bother him on bit just down in front of it it's pretty hazardous out there you gotta say especially when he's blind June's they come over at such pace these leaves you know since two hours of maximum concentration and they've already done that qualifier this morning as well and while your father at knitting sort of our timings top mxgp boys though they don't race for two hours straight like this but he's not such a fast pace early on because he's so used to you know like going hard for 30 minutes and Gabe he's not gonna get slower later on but I think the like someone like Nathan will pull through a little bit later on in the race and that incredible have incredibly comfortable did he look in the sand though I mean all these guys from Belgium and Holland these they ride these conditions a lot but well Garcia down in 21st to see the first of the West yeah he's the first of the words and then Billy's second in the camping trip well first house or not sometimes the good times just roll to a halt to do is just sit there and gather your breath I know he types Edomite people toy past left and right I get a scaling right there when he's sitting in the sanding is the sort of bigger yeah you you you know you think the wrong what wooden is this this could be the moment really uh doc Glenn coldenhoff caught his handlebar there and that's what nothing was it really well there wasn't many like playing around with his parents and I guess he was that guy Levin Jung called it off almost completely doing the yeasterday she probably just sort yourselves out their part that gentleman's finally picked himself up out of breather yeah that's one of the steamers already bike boiling up and one I don't know whether there's the bike made it through by the way but one of the who was that in trouble that one of the bikes out on track this morning was a 1988 RM Suzuki one of the old yellow frame jobs good to see so Glenn coldenhoff leads at the moment gentle Martin's has moved into second place ahead of Nathan Watson so Husqvarna splits the two Red Bull KTM Camille chapelier in fourth place last one Bert almost fifth Greg Smith still sixth ahead of her beg your pardon milk Oprah does it goes forth ahead of chapelier and axel van der sander moves through because of course these guys have the choice whenever they want of using the chocolate yeah so some guys are gonna use it earlier than others yeah that's the thing and you can't really tell but you can see that cold enough has got a 24 second lead already so he's pushing the a hard pace but the other guys maybe went through the joka lane early on that's right yeah keeping on [Applause] long way to go in this race a lot of things can happen that's for sure this was the start at all the big rook men got a really good skip over the gate at none better than cold enough the rest of the lads left to their way through and some of them falling straight away as they come off the line this is now I would be one of those sensible ones at the back waiting for everybody else to clear off just sit there and get it clearer on [Music] Lackey one a good start for Nathan Watson straightaway getting his put right back over that rear will forget as much Drive from that beef back wheel as you possibly can that is what you call hanging out in the back yeah for the fights geared to Aquila bikes Tiffany today Johnny for that long straight sorry - my gear the bikes differently if I got higher speed than they will yeah they'll do a bit but they don't want to go too much you know so and then it's not that good in in the rest of the track because you can you can be back up to much that it doesn't Rev hard enough you know to pull here so you can go too much I've done I've been too much in the past so and then that makes it hard on the rest of the track you've got a big first gear more stress on the clutch yeah you've got a hyper speed but also your bikes not revving at the table so you're not actually pulling a faster speed than about that's revin full gas and there's no such a thing you only learn from experience is how to gauge the best compromise on yeah I said no called enough had put a bit on Instagram knee of the day was Tesla's bike in this board he was absolutely flying toy sure wasn't much room for error in the trees either up what looked like a hundred miles an hour and the rain that was threatened this morning has now arrived that the stuff Turner's rather unkindly just to make things just that little bit trickier when it comes to beating that's gonna make the visitor their nightmare yeah it sounds different on your goggles and you don't want to be riding around it without goggles it's almost not an option really coldenhoff setting a scolding pace he's almost broken the four-minute barrier four minutes 1.99 seconds on that last lap that is a wicked time that's about ten seconds quicker than people were doing this morning during qualifying look at the style of the man the 27 year old tough is it is riding on a wave of confidence sensational unexpected performance at Red Bull at Red Bud sorry in the motocross of Nations when he just hammered to victory in both his racist nobody else really got to see where he'd gone so he's comes into this race in unreal ring of confidence what Watson in second place four minutes 17 not a good lap for him Milko 42nd four minutes 18 is behind him in fourth place this is number 57 billy bolt he's the would-be World Endurance Super Series champion is running a 20th place at the moment and it's not to get you know must be super Mare beat race very comparable to this not part of the West series but he finished third which I thought was incredible really bubbling it's know the sound is a specialist environment and he he rides it brilliantly Billy does and that was it that was his debut as a shunned racer yeah exactly I mean incredible with me yeah he's looking so come to learn now it's a big solid lad he said you just might be in 15-stone but he's pretty much always bit even during his his trials day snockered called enough in the audacity to double up through the traffic finding himself a clear route down the right-hand side look how tall he's working yeah balance the ride in the sound like that yeah if you jump in stuff like that you'd definitely save energy you know later on in the race there Nick yeah you rolling through everything pushing all the time it'll go hard on the bike luck Park international early this year February of this year a lead Herlings until the very end of the the truth the main final race just a fabulous performance he is a great rider of sand most of Martos far the world i reck'n dey's East East his lead and bit he said if he lacks anything its strength you see quite quite a slim built lad that's quite strong to me out yeah exactly Atlantis under still in fifth place six up to six scores van Berkel Maxine shot is in number 69 in seventh place Damon Martin's in a Cheney of a carnie nine Jeff leader dwarfed close-up Camille chapelier is dropping down and I just wonder if something's happened to chapelier on the number two Red Bull KTM top Colette's on his way up 12th place ring now yet calyx building the western beach race winner for the last three years can you mix it total there's some of these guys can't help but becoming a motorcyclist gummy I mean nibs colored his dad was a and trials Rider the kid was on a quad bike for two and a half ride around their little Somerset ranch oh it's gonna be problems for her but any anybody who's not a lot of really competent rock riders out there who who really do astonishingly well as well as the boys it was really absolutely struggle I mean it you know I've been the essence of the West series though that the top where the amateurs the riders that go out for fun can rub shoulders with the world's very best professionals and certainly here today you know fact I might have rubbed shoulders a little bit close with me the law that's been cold enough is he bounced down the beach but the options there but come off building a good lead now in the West coming crisper does that mean every struggling because he's got a bad knee spoon it's Norma she's coming back from injury isn't it that's Alfredo Gomez yay was showing his last night is he didn't like he can't fully straighten it and can't fully bend it though Alfredo gamos currently in 60 second place in this race there's over 63 Yentl Martin's running in second place brilliant victory his first major Sun race victory at Burke's Amer at the opening round of the French Sun racing championship speak melt or Potter's Eck into third place and then milk old beat gentle into third place in the second rounds or they're actually level at the top of that series but dirt Martin's he looked so like his dad on it behind feelin very similarly lanky style when you got legs like that you couldn't almost like having an extra suit well you've got pretty lengthy monkey legs both of you up there's like having extra suspension does it help you a lot in the Sun when you roll it up it's been a while since I did a beach race but yeah when you get stuck they come in handy nothing like a good long pulling me bike must be handy in your trials form as well now we're going to take a quick break here from the action on the beach at the hague what the Red Bull knockout will continue unabated and we're back we'll be back very very short you can see if Glenn coldenhoff can retain this pace [Music] full throttle into the world of Red Bull motorsports at its finest all over the globe make it your world and download the app for free Red Bull TV is available on all your devices anywhere at any time go beyond the ordinary get the app now the WRC Australia just a man and machine [Music] rally Australia the last stage of the 2018 season Rally Championship on Red Bull TV once a professional lungs in evidence both are hardcore the passion and the love for for racing and for bikes this is what puts us next to each other follow Taddy Blazusiak and Andy no clue as they prepare to compete in one of the toughest extreme endurance races in the world parallel universe Red Bull hare scramble now available on Red Bull TV welcome back to the Red Bull knockout 2018 and welcome back to the sight of Glenn coldenhoff coming to the end of the two kilometer straight and also towards the end of his fifth luck with a handsome lead at about 47 seconds at the moment over Yentl martin's nathan watson at just three seconds less than three seconds adrift of the tall lanky belgium and then milk Oh potty SEC Roddick in fourth place ahead of actual van der sander they got Luthor politic of course the cousin of the lake Timoteo Potter SEC who won this race in 2008 ten years ago also wasn't heard twice winner at the year and euro 2qk on the northern coast of France which was kind of the daddy of all these amazing events really launched back in the early 1970s then coldenhoff Burt was at the moment guys he looks superlative I know that there are any amount of things that could just go wrong at any conceivable moment but signals luring ready smooth very comfortable not taking a lot out of himself just flowing and he looks brilliant but you know he's one of the top motocross riders on the planet right now in probably one of his favorite I'd imagine go in sand eats and he actually oh this is his last race for the factory Red Bull KTM team but sorry obviously like to go out on a high E he moves to the stunning construct KTM team and motocross Grand Prix next year alongside our very own max Anstie who has only just signed up with them actually having looked as if he may not have a ride he now has a ride as teammate to coldenhoff so they'll be yeah there'll be a strong team together chap ended up a long way from his bike looks like he's picked himself up Italy they they that although that picture doesn't particularly show it though there's a massive crowd here from first thing this morning for the start of the qualifier huge waves of people of all shapes and sizes were plastered along the prom look at this for every possible vantage point and just enjoying the carnage really all of these men become an entertainer for the day however fast or slow they go oh that's reminded the spinning wheel you might just abandon me for a moment that Johnny buried that vehicle we were traveling in yesterday didn't we well I would have brought her up Jack it was a little embarrassed let's just say that Johnny Worf has no Toby crisis even his truck driver think I do we are sane I'd stick with me now you're going from four so two common foods you seem to have one position for the throttle which was on the floor which just buried the back wheels but is Jamie McCanney then their former world enduro champion who's really becoming quite a hot rider in he was finished ninth at the 2k he's finished third a couple years back at the western beach raised and the Cuddy's really adapting well to be tracing he enjoys it you know they do a lot of riders back at home on the other hand on the beat so yeah they are all good on both him and his brother Danny dad Billy bolt then still very much in the driving seat as regards the world that Jareau Super Series title the first crown to be awarded in this wonderful Chapel shipment that has made enough an actual aim of not interfering with the basic nature of the event but just taking in all the different disciplines of enduro it very extreme enduros the old-fashioned card in two rows everything's been involved why we've had so many typically winners sadly Wade young ensure no one here this week that because weight is the only guy who's actually want to event destroy the verse of the event spin that make up the series Moser Garcia this kid this kid is 21 years old inspired by Ivan Cervantes he actually went road racing for a year did the Red Bull Rookies at the MotoGP circuits for a year and then went back to motocross decided he didn't like enjoy offroad more but this is his first Beach race at this first ever race on a 450 I mean talk about learning things quick how many things do you need throw dirt you're here son here's the 450 for the first time there's a beach go out and race it with groups 700 other guys but you know he's after school after qualifying big smile on his bike he's loving it yeah loving it he's like that every race and now let me go back to the pits he's there he's wild and the winner of horse told me yes sir where's round in hortense that we know he's got form in the sand is done at the moment this guy Manuel lettenbichler still running second place in the championship his dad andreas of course with a fabled veteran now retired veteran now hard enduro but let ridiculous getting speed as well he's must be working on his speed I think and you gotta say though I mean we saw his thumb at dinner the other night and you know from the Gotland race to the last round of the where's he only got back on a bike on Tuesday for the first time since that race and his tummy ripped the nail off partly do you imagine the Mert that got in it market going she had to change his gloves and remove is now and as he said it we all flinch but yeah he hadn't been back on bike a few days first time on a 450 as well so he's doing well out there but honestly he said it's really hard to hang on with that thumb it's clearly painting for him and that Gatlin dendera legs jump and that was an old-school Swedish 3 hour event with a 3,000 riders involved and it was filthy wet horrible horrible monsters at Rice pigs really wouldn't know it was like it was very nasty Gustav and it was dominated by mild native Swedes but it was a Billy Bob managed to rescue 13th place but poor lettenbichler ended up 43rd so that's where he lost a lot of ground on on the Englishman that's the luck time to consistent he's just in a forced six a four five point seven four Yentl Martens they are that's him getting caught up that's what can go wrong so quickly though yeah dangerous lines and the people in front of him changed lines as well he's not sunbathing he's had enough this fella just practicing heavy breathing coughing off once again goes for the major kick Iceland down this strike phenomenal so much water as well the finger straight is gonna be pretty relaxing it's not really the bikes just squirming around under aqua planes on the wet sand and the water this is Daymond Martin's that the lad who is related to the Martins family but we know how quickly is because it's performed really strongly here before now Damon Martin's 23 years old Belgium and he won the two K in 2017 so we know how quick he is is a saturation I wonder if the other guy like who's taking the joke plane and who wasn't rather cold enough preparedness four times during this this intriguing me how do you remember Howard what Todd Kelly has done he's got four pieces of white tape on his handlebar and he's gonna rip one off every time he goes the chocolade because he's it otherwise I'm quite likely to be thinking I've done the chocolate three or four I need to do it again all right now Marvin his dad lifts whose idea I think so hey taking care of business tell it now into the top ten so right behind Jamie McCanney there so the moment as we catch a glimpse of guys taunting down the two kilometer spray probably the most enjoyable part of the whole game it's coldenhoff Martin's Watson what is it madness under Damon Martin's Maxim SOT Jeffrey DeWolf Jamie McCanney Todd Kellet are the top ten Camille's chapelier in 11th place Steve Ramon doubled world motocross champion 39 years old now good in fact almost 40 remaining 12th place out of last van Berkel Billy Bolton 50 Greg Smith's 17 Greg Smits has a right hand injury from an accident motocross shatter than three weeks ago and even when a feeble creature like myself shook him vigorously by the hand earlier today be quite as hard as that something there's some grip Joe it must be is that is that doesn't it bother you when you lied and typically just like he's done these guys don't know the meaning of pain sometimes and you want to be out there everybody Jonathan you did suffer some pain with that draw how is the wrist things coming on yeah it's good it's been seven weeks now I have about two operations done it one outside fixation play and then flew home got some metal plates put on the inside of my wrist on my left out some plates in my right hand and I got nothing doing my shoulder but yeah I'm happy with it up side riding last week there's slowly good yeah it's good I wish I was out there eight I wish it never happened obviously but it's racing so you're back into this series obviously fully for custom-fit next year yeah honestly can't wait to start again when they said that they were doing this championship we've like all these different races I was so excited and I mean we don't lead in the series when he crashed that's the worst thing about it you know I've no lead in having a nice little lead having to you know like I was hoping I could get back within a few weeks but it never happened it was worse than what it was so we wish you a speedy we've got a restful winter and a speedy recovery from that there's no resting since I'm back riding Dora now which is that their the playground for road racers and offer orders alike yeah it's amazing that so many people are so many people to ride with and yeah it's so good with the weather and that song now the bit of snow so I don't know I'm gonna do a flip down the spine there the worst things you know if that happens see the guy the guy there we just passed it on the side that's one of the KTM train and see we looking out seeing where everyone's at and reporting back to the paddock I guess one of the trick what telling the road yes looks worn out no no we've got a tree we've got train and I guess all the teams have got their trainer or a spotter out there and he's there with like a headset and he'll report back to the pits or maybe he's there to tell him to go in luckily sure excited speaks and be father a very very easy thing to forget that joke alone you know yeah sure like I know when you're in the here bowel yeah you've seen it we've seen it and they do it in Supercross that's right Villopoto could have won the million enemies better let's calculate the joke in Vegas alien exactly we have an expensive mistake we haven't done any evidence of anybody going into the joke Alania glowing an effect on their luck times or lore Billy Bolt was saying last night that he would prefer to do it early while the joke Alain was fairly smooth that's not so many people in it it's not particularly long is it I mean it's not it's it's a pretty nip in and out off that start strike you don't get stuck yeah it's really only like 20 seconds I would rather do it later on when the feels spread out of it you know and obviously riders drop in our the X could be opening up you know what in 20 minutes time or so and that that's where you got all those logs and most what I would call some real it some new stoppers to really maybe hope the progress of some of these riders as well it's not going to get any easier for the last hour at this price this is Victor Brasi aid shot and now we're looking at Nancy van de Ven this this brilliant young woman oh she lost the women's world's motocross champ ship at the last race in Italy by 8 points at the second time she's finished runner-up in that series and lost it to the Fontan ad the Italian girl so Nancy van de Ven bless her she keeps on no that's her ambition to win that Women's World Championship and it just hasn't quite happened yet Presley price here in San yeah well she was 54th in the qualifier this morning Maya so she beat a fair few men for tilaka thousand people set out and I think incidentally we forgot to mention earlier Robbie Maddison sadly I've got disqualified from this file because he rolled through the pitlane this morning and you during the qualifier and you're not allowed to do that you have to push your motorcycle through there but Robbie we believe is with Jenny down there on track so Jenny if you've got hold of but the Great Australian freestyle motorcross her over to you well Phyllis I'm down in the pit lane with modern my absolute heroes you should have been riding today Robbie Maddison mad I shouldn't laugh what happened I missed the rider's meeting there's a strict rule that no riding in the pit and you know you think you're holding hear people ride around on motorcycles on the footpath I thought for sure we could ride here but other Beach races you are allowed to I've read the rules I think you know it's it's fair that I follow them so I'm out it's an unfortunate but I'll learn the highway it's good you get to hang out with me in the pit lane man yeah you know what I think is a blessing in disguise that the track out there is absolutely brutal I saw some crazy branches when I was out there so props up to these guys you know hats off like me in a better these guys are insane riders and a new level of respect for them from my perspective yeah the sky for a little wander down through the pit lane it is without doubt the toughest beach racing on planet Earth and of course you would have qualified had you not been excluded so you've got an idea of how difficult it is and we've not even got to the excellent yet yeah I mean the track when I was out there it's very soft sand from something like Western betray so it gets very hard a navigator you got to carry a lot of momentum the bumps form quickly it's it's really insane the section where the whoops are they they cop out on the backside there's there's so many opportunities for you to lose control and go over the handlebars I was actually going down the straightaway at full speed and the guy just cartwheeled in front of me so it's tricky down there even the straightaway which probably looks smooth it's so unpredictable what's gonna happen in any moment we love it quick word on Billy Bowl and Manny lettenbichler been a great year for them both worthy champions who's your money on that now like Billy we just met and he's a great guy a phenomenal rider so if he wins out they'll be stoked for him I know you're a legend thank you very much for man Cheers back to you boys and commentary Robbie Maddison then the man who said done a lot of thoroughly jokey things that any normal person would think about like jumping and a backflip over the open Tower Bridge in London who wouldn't give a bash at that by the way I've talked to her about knee replacements and the say is too young bless him but he certainly needs water need one soon yeah he's a just put it all out there Robbie during his career he's important I Evel Knievel and he's concerned Alain is absolutely that that's the way to describe incredible and he still comes back for more yeah there's no it's it's a bit of him it's motorcycles isn't it kind of gets blood that's money that we've gotten scream that owns gonna now but he looked back he's riding solid you know at about a film and that's Nathan I mean that going through there like that landed on the face of the next jump still moving though yeah he's going good ill I think he'll hook a few more gears later on in the race and start pulling back sometime you know Nathan's an enduro rider will the X loop out him and a Locksley stuff that's probably gonna play more to him than to say cold enough yeah definitely it's gonna make a little bit of a difference you know when they get into their cuz you know it's an hour in there so when it all gets dug out the logs are gonna get dug out a lot so he'll have a little bit more experience than some of the other riders to say you know say he should be more confident through there Nathan you forget that he's been a red ball roll national champion a couple of times in the UK in the 85 CC class on there and he's also he's also one at a Maxis British motocross championship races raced at a high level in mxgp for Kimi räikkönen's team he's got a lot of a lot of quality time as a motocrosser we take a quick break again we've still got a huge amount of time to go the redbull knockout 2018 [Music] ready set the toughest kind of motorbiking and insight into the disciplines terminology and how it all began hard for your head not for your body for your back TABC of hard enduro now available on Red Bull TV the biggest longest-running and most prestigious breakdance crew competition is back b-boys and b-girls from all over the world celebrating one culture hip-hop Snipes battle of the year watch live on Red Bull TV to battle at the bumps is back [Music] no turns just a half mile long straight rhythm section to have racing action with the best riders driving the evolution of Supercross Red Bull Signature Series straight rhythm now available on Red Bull TV [Music] welcome back to the 2018 redbull knockout and the fastest mud on truck with an absolutely demonic four minute 12 second love on that last lap on his eighth lap gentle Martin's closing the gap a little on the race leader number two five nine Glenn coldenhoff Nathan Watson four minutes 31 not able to match his pace on that lap drops back a bit in third place Watson ahead of milto pot isaac axle van der Sadler Maxime Scott Damon Martin's Camille chapelier ad Geoffrey DeWolf no surprise then with last one Buerkle in tenth place but men of the Lowcountry so dominant when it comes to son racing and in France the French of course since they introduced their own son race and championship of inevitably got better and better happy or not as the case may be Dicky sail felt nice like 450 KTM on Tapia Sletten ban de mierda then Greg smitson just got the better of Todd Keller - we were watching just a moment adore looking very very good but he had a long lap on that lap four minutes 57 on that luck they may have been one of his runs through the Joker Lane that's a interesting position these two got ourselves into see your ID has come together meanwhile the number 68 Damon Martin 20 in seventh place his last upper for bass 24 foot flat [Applause] with regards then the West content - Billy bolt still in the driving seat in 18th place yeah he's riding solid really good ride come in there I'm sure he's gonna come come stronger towards the end he's a big lad in its not gonna be going too much longer fully boiling up that one look at it either he's really taller that by its really small he's me I think he's the Dutch child that tallest race it in the world that we think what it is they are you right so a woman's shook I think it's about time women gave his Honda a break really looks like it's gasping for air it will break if he doesn't pull over soon that's for sure that cold enough on there glimpse of 160 km/h looks like along the beach folks right on the edge of the water where it's smoothest but quite deep in place that's pretty gnarly that he's got it on there that's me yeah can actually get quite dangerous you know whether the wall comes out sometimes it makes like a little stream where it keeps going Baron and that can get pretty deep and you know when you're doing that speed it's not nice to hit now you've seen a Western almost water bars just riders get sent over the handlebars of culture he like yourself at the mega watt yeah I think yours was looking for your ribs that were folded afterwards yeah turn koltunov whose first ever Grand Prix victory was at Mattingly Basin and the British motocross Grand Prix in mx2 Grand Prix of 2013 the peach this stretch will bleed out a few seconds until 150 didn't leave in four minutes eight point four on that lap that was a fast lap that was 30 seconds quicker than Nathan Watson there's gentlemen done Billy Bob and they finished doing what needs to do to take that you know where's title today though it's a strong ride solid ride for him he's lit him I'd say fair say that Billy when he came into extreme our venturi was probably a little bit of a hothead you know what I mean he was quite young and just Winfrey's calm developes he was Miss Brian today that's sure yeah honestly he adapted to like different brand trends like son you know so fast so you can go somewhere and then a few days later he's absolutely rapid done yeah that's fast he says he crushes a lot and whatever that what they all say in road racing is you can you can you can teach a lad who falls off quite a lot to just control it a bit but you can't make a laddoos the thing courses go any faster that's right the pace was very just needed sir and he's happy - very happy to admit to the fact that he was a crusher until really just this year used to fall off a lot even in his trials days this is gentle Martin's running in second place and having had that good lap that close the gap has gone from 49 seconds behind to a minute 15 having got himself to Juli either take of the joke Elaine I've got into a bit of traffic and cold enough let's just pulled the pin again and also I guess jackets not completely stupid a sign out at this point that Rose might be thinking of coming in the fuel Laura yeah nipped in if they're gonna do a two-stop strategy this afternoon which we know some of the riders or most of the riders will have to so we're on one minute 11 seconds one minute one hour 11 minutes to gold plus one lap so yeah the guys are going to have to be thinking about that now aren't there especially the Huskies yeah I'm pretty sure the guys on a standard tank they'll only do like 40 minutes on a in the sand so a guy with the 12 liter tank you know maybe get close for an hour but it'd be risking fur for the two hours and then the the guys are the 14 li and they should just do the one stop and I'm not sure colonists are far in year as new yeah and so Yentl mine so close his milk old pot a sec number 10 on the right of picture under right behind him this is the battle of the long side fourth and fifth placement maximum the son of the young Belgian on the left he was the winner in 2050 we never heard of him he came from Norway to beat Nathan Watson for the 25 year old look you know I'd round the outside of milk or potty set absolutely nailed the Yamaha to Yamahas neck-and-neck that was impressive what's your answer is a cracking rider this just a Lewis team was just him and his dad just really quiet guys and they really came and did the business but look at this I think Milko taken the rapid line around the outside of women but no he didn't manage to get back they're still just ahead of him the two Yamahas again side by side made all the more difficult by the back marker they got to find their way around and through it is like threading a needle this note this it's unbelievable watching these top riders in the sand out multiple they are and why they just put the fight wherever they want point chart no problem and it's rough out there now I mean that dragon ye chop here that it wasn't it was like a billiard table first thing this morning yeah it's crazy how rough they said it got rough so fast in there in the first race there no they were surprised I guess that's what happens eat son [Applause] there's a consistent top-five finish Iran the friends suck bench sucks now we've got rusty won the championship oh what a bit messed up there he's really kicking it up high the cottage stuck to our rice is today absolutely attacking everything how do you the problem is it establishing a rhythm across that stuff Johnny because once you know if you can keep a rhythm going which should describe which requires impeccable timing as well as as well as as Gutzon and finesse and shield resilience really really attacking yeah if you get a rhythm going you good and then as soon as you get out that rhythm it's so hard to get back in you know the confidence all the time you know when you're in it you just keep building building confidence and then something happens you know square one then you gotta start jumping things again so cold enough leads the way at the moment second place for Yentl Martinsburg at one minute 21 then Layton Watson and 38 seconds further back in third ahead of the battle between van der sander now fourth hottie second fifth place sixth place for Daymond Martin's and that Maxine who saw him cameras supérieure Billy bolts now moved up with 15 bluefin he's closing on the Connie now he's yeah he's writing well impressive in there really impressive watching him ride and he you know Billy he looks like he's well on track at the moment to take the title the ultimate enduro champion good like you said Johnny so diverse and he won the last round of the super enjoy World Series last year came out when his first major event really outdoor with the extreme lagares and here is in the sand as balance like a top 15 I mean that's incredible yes knockout riding so good that's what's so good about this championship you know it's not just suited to one rider you've got like you got cold enough now who's riding awesome out front but then you can go to lay another race where no one else's so that makes me wince every time I see it that was not just the bloke who hit the ground yeah got a little light got clipped by cold enough oh that's that he wasn't happy there no oh we just get run over no unfortunately guys skip the crushing I'm here he'll jump on us to cities - oh you just remind me there was a wonderful a lady holding up own homemade banner that was near the start area of upon the prom this morning before the qualifier and it said Rick warm ished here the moment stopped what starts tons here Here I am son keeping an eye on you wonderful well the X loop is about to open so things are gonna get a bit shaken up now so once the red lights on the excellent turn blue then that will open up according to Greg Adkins you he shuts down the other route so you have no option no easy way around it yeah there's no easy way to go so yeah he'll be nice to be the first rider into that joke alone alone yes Joe claims over there directly the the X loop to get it clean yeah his foes a survival specialist it's got water out there he could live on that on that beach for weeks if you have to and he might have to actually there was the JCB without digging bikes out the sand after qualifying they get so easily buried you have to get a metal detector out there like you know know what you might find first time I've ever seen a JCB lifting a bike out of the Sun it been backfilled I think at bottom one of the Jews the loop under the famous pier here at the hague of Skaven Ingham Beach because it's a beautiful popular resort such a superb place to come and visit now is that not necessary to do this on of course and they as the aquaplaning to 5/9 net number two five nine Glenn coldenhoff he always used to race number 25 until they started mixing the Belgian Dutch championship started mixing mx1 and mx2 and they found that Clement Desalle how already had the number 25 and because his racing heroes James Stewart who used to ride to five 90s in his youthful heyday glen just took a nine on the back of his 25 and made it to 59 and he's ridden with that ever since look at that even when you write against the water it's shaking its head Johnny that looks horrible it's crazy honestly the speed makes me cringe actually knowing what happened to me the other week what are you going to have one anything to happen to anyone were you going very fast when you had your accident yeah I was I can remember coming out the corner and I can remember just like hooking a low degree is really fast just to get it high up in the revs you know so I could just like if anything did happen I could wheelie yeah I remember I just jumped down a hill a little bit and as soon as I landed I hit like I think it was like a concrete bow or something in under there under the Sun so I was basically in Top Gear I landed and he says I hate it just keep no handlebars no yeah I landed miles away from the bike and of course any it's speed that couldn't read that that the month the sheer momentum these guys are going it only becomes truly evident when something happens and it's something here flying through the air one thing that sound might be a soft landing but if you dig in it's like a meteor landing up and it I've dug in and story the shoulder where you know yeah it hit enter soft landing with any pace to it yeah it's not like you you can like slide or not you hit the ground you really yeah exactly you stop dead and it's pretty painful it is you know from quite recently Johnny earlier Glenn coldenhoff to 5/9 third place this is number 26 at Joseph Garcia Garcia was running in about 30th place in fact Dijonnaise moved up to 20 first place Joseph Garcia Montana as well moved up to 20 first place his rival for the world enduro super series Billy bolts as Billy Gunn can someone just jerk just have a quick look for me Billy bolt in 19th place just two places ahead of Garcia at the moment so Gus tear acquitting himself amazingly well in his speech races and his first ride on a 450 KTM he did of course win the Boston Park round they absolutely blatantly motocross circuit that first hostile it British grumpy but at 1952 when throughout the last century in fact was the home of British motocross he's a good one for you Jack little testing the legislation did Nathan Watson's dad brought me lead the British Grand Prix at Hawkstone know for a bit I read he did he actually led a crown prayer hall called masters from Oh cousin of just one oh there you go Island rider so he's got to just heave his bike back the X loops about to open but not that you could see that that probably only affected his lead by about half a dozen seconds but such incidents can always just well lead to something just a little bit more but Glenn coldenhoff quickly extricate himself a minute and 45 seconds to play with who should be alright it was pretty frantic getting at where'd that fella rather why quick till there's where first second and third place men are situated at the moment second place Martin Yentl Martin's Billy Bell is he riding his way towards the cross bargain oh yes of course the cross-border prize the first prize is the cross bolt the second prize the second and third prizes an entry in a round of the cross poll rookie challenge next year where a tenant worth 10 grand each I'll tell you what I'm amazed how choppy that strike is Western strike doesn't get that rough it's softer here yeah no it's totally different sand at Western much as we'd say and Billy talked about the fact that he was getting hit so hard by shells as well as Sundering though he was in a higher after Paula he said I've never known paint like it and he asked you to find him a chest protect it was only a six mile walk back to the hotel to get it for him but I did it so he's wearing your chest protector now yeah he's got it all he'd better have it on anyway because if that was a wasted walk I'll be over to word later I looked at last night at dinner he was keeping him he was keeping himself up at that meeting 15 stole miss Johnny boy's eye by nicking food from the South Africans table he had a kite a complete set and helping of his main course he'll burn some calories this afternoon certain he's think you're pretty white on this weekend but a guy you never actually warned a youth trials championship you know he was always finishing second and third to the likes of Jack price and you and Rob he's gone down oh is this gentle martinized Billy oh it's Billy that's Billy bolt has to drop it and may may have been overtaken by Garcia but the moment that we left him he's dipped off so no drama for the West though he only needs to do is play it safe then he's got it yes oh why mark now through this final so yeah yeah we're gonna see it come across I mean that was if he's broke my chest protector after one afternoon Charlie what about getting back into your rhythm when you've had a little get off like yeah it doesn't it plays in your head a little bit you know because you could come over another home and like that could but you could be thinking about that you know someone's gonna come across in front of you so just it just knocks you off your rhythm a little bit I think he's pretty confident they'll uh he'll be back fast straightaway up to the one hour mark then we're at half distance in the two hours of the Red Bull knock out 2018 Glenn coldenhoff at nursing a one minute 48 second lead over Yentl Martins who in turn has a 30-second advantage over Nathan Watson who in turn is 52 seconds ahead of milk or potty SEC this is the half Glenn coldenhoff he's looking so good doesn't make sense knees absolutely incredible watching him I mean so smooth almost looks effortless for him yeah it's like he's taking no risk a he's just like son do ride out when he's meant well he was the first man to kind of in inflict a ruby feet on Jeffrey Herlings in that final race of the motocross of Nations at red board last month and and that was a pretty heroic feat but he did it he I'm afraid we hardly saw him because there was so much else going on in the race that Glenn had taken off at the fronton and the torch actually although they'd lost their third man Calvin London who crashed out in the first race and saw his his deep DNF his did not finish score had to be added to there's Burlington he went 1-1 one two and that meant that they finished third overall despite not having a third rider which was quite a pretty event no no we saw Joe I know wonder if Geoff feelings he has done a lot for this truck earlier today his eyes eyes were on store Friday night doc our car he was in the duct Arco is the Faustian long yeah never seen Geoffrey look like look at the way all the houses then is to find a smooth line and keep right under the way of everybody and now is the next loop the X loop takes off here we go this is called an off first picture into the X loop and our first look at it yeah it's deep it's surprisingly deep oh it's surprising how deep these all that's we are gentle Martin's and Nathan Watson of both pitted so I called it off now this is a huge advantage for the KTM yeah they're about four and a half meters deep here is Nathan Watson he painted up hitted early because he might need goggles you know he's been out there with the clean goggles on although that is just past the halfway mark so fast his first stop that means he should make it tonight nothing mine looks limp Anakin he's putnik English it goggles he's looking for he's got Sun let's hope they've been well prepped that's usually your your wife or girlfriends job is near honey girlfriend's job so this is cold enough having got through the first major part of the man down and here's those logs that are gonna just dig out and get higher and higher off the ground afternoon goes on right through the middle of the ax you said you wanted to hit it like you'd want to hit it while it was nice and smooth and on you so it looks fairly straightforward really at miss condition at the moment you might get worse this is gonna dig out yeah especially on an uphill with sand and loves riders in the laps time that it's gonna get done looks so nice up in the Sun doesn't it ain't picky beautiful so smooth vote you decide I'll see it next luck so we got the French q on what a second chef chilly air in fourth and fifth place active understand I've just dropped down to seventh place at the moment whether heart is bended into the pits he might have been his last luck was a five that it's 50 so I suspect that he might have hit it yes he has so I can understand though has been in the pits and those pit stops take longer than we think because yeah the riders have to push the bike from the start all the way through that pit lane which is why Robbie Maddison isn't in this fire call unfortunately he decided he'd miss the riders meet in a road straight to his pit there's cold enough on Billy so Billy's been through there and is the absolute filling up nicely this you know when the riders leaders come around to this there's no way through they're gonna be in as much trouble as anyone in the race could change in a heartbeat at this point yeah it's going to be tricky yeah then logs are gonna cross tie offs looking good with Billy at the moment no the boy looks good he looks good so I'm pretty big crash because his mechanic who I was chatting to after qualifying ly edmundsa who they've fondly called Stanny his mate and a note that not the that's Billy bolts mate then Rochdale way where Billy goes and practices extreme stuff in the chrome quarry there he there upon the Pennine she said that he caught the call him Stan Stanley what are you being stunningly Edmondson yeah laziest Sunday name he says the rest of the week I understand but Lee said that this is going to be a decider and they decided look at it they're queuing up they've nearly filled the track on top they're the leaders ain't gonna want to mess about with that it's this is gonna be trouble but that's what it's there for to shake things up when you've just about had enough you get an hour of the X Luke a lot of people got a Carol on in their jerk a lot of it's 13 laps complete now for Coleman off the Yentl Martin's milk all parties like Nathan Watson there's Paul Bolton riding him through there yet moments in much of him we haven't lovely wish very sports Paul Bolton the leading prodigy in this 30th place at the moment bike number 13 obviously not worried about unlucky 13 respectable respectable position enough just pulled into the pit zone today yeah here is yep walk into the pic just has enough picture a lot later than Nathan Watson look at a quick fill on your going no why bang dog leash on him back out there hey these are the guys who were who were around his table yesterday inaudible yeah when one of them was working on that bike on that Red Bull KTM in the pits the parks were made this morning after the qualifier and he had a kind of Gansey as we call in the northeast of England I'll sit for a minute on a cardigan and sweater we don't know him down south and I said you look a bit incognito like it's your kind of Sunday job and he says yes well you're only supposed to have one man one mechanic working in the pit and they notice me less if I'm just gonna sweat along I had not realized I'm a second mechanic oh really eight races a bit of fiddling goes on here and there I think but that's getting pretty bad now thanks Luke called enough out and back quick cuz then so that's it with that he had a big advantage at the moment that he took that break he got the thick end of three minutes his heart rate will be through the roof after running up load is by when you have to run to a star and someone zeros you won't believe how high your heart rate is you know just because the guys told you to set up it's unbelievable when I could stop for a breather by the time I got to me you nearly got between yundal Martha's in that the new third place Martin milk for parties Equis it's big about 18 seconds between them another 13 back to Nathan Watson as smooth as the traveler climatic option yeah Sonic's slightly misleading here and also look there's our be anybody there they're all stuck in the X loop the truck certainly looks empty where this is gonna get interested now and this is where you know Colton off mxgp rider he's not used to locks and and people getting stuck look at the where's riders Billy Bo those guys they are this is their bread and butter Johnny in there they should get through that traffic quicker than than fake holding off yeah hopefully we can see Billy go through the pits there's Manny just leaving the pits now but hopefully we can see Billy go through that loop and yeah see how he gets on because he should be a just swerve kick out the riders through the riders but I think cold enough won't be as fast as in know what's in I mean it could be a danger man now opening up definitely what what's the dividing line between riding through the pits yeah just don't jump on me I mean you push me they're getting deep their logs already cut the back end of that Kisuke there Perry that's like the deduct oh really you're buried yesterday Johnny I'm gonna come out mate get old there's people going in opposite direction you're gonna see people doing ghosts in their bikes over the top in desperation this is getting wild and think I just saw Nathan Watson in there Leonard so cold enough been good because he was first person today so he's been again a lot of time when he did look he ended up with two minutes 55 Wow hopefully we can see Billy I just didn't go through in the background Wow yeah that's serious those lots are getting bad and remember you know there's cold enough in the back roads not cold enough struggling there yes still 50 minutes of this to go it's only gonna get a lot lot worse look at the steam so Colin off they're going through the huge four and a half meter whoops and yeah he's a tyranny we just have to roll through them with the other guys don't use yeah I mean you come over the top of there fast there's a very good chance you're going to find someone laid on the other side I think he's riding just like you say using his there to be insensible eeeh you could throw it away though in this part of the track you can throw that lead away so easily yeah because he's going to look up now and he's gonna be like here we go I hate India he's gonna think hey what's my Kissin record he's using is that slowing up having a look where there is actually a route through the worst thing is stopping before an obstacle yeah because then you'd end up digging a hole so hopefully he gets through good this is where Rob meet Nathan Watson's gun used to Pat people on the shoulder at Western say excuse me I'm leading this do you think you could let me through when their butyl nervously I can't imagine Billy doing that and 15 else Tony's not gonna miss them oh well this is that this is cold enough wrestling his way through the X Luke now : off it's not gonna be an easy passage for him but so far he's managed to keep going there he is fighting his way through I think we've got Billy bolt down in pit lane with Jenny sorry Jenny over to you really very quickly I difficulties out there chaos there he go I saw Billy bolt has to say about it chaos but still on course to take his first ever West title he will be the first world enduro Super Series champion if he carries on like this we're expecting another stop from Billy as well so it will not necessarily just be one stop we think we might see Billy do too he said he's playing it safe for that's what you got be so careful of now Billy just jumped on the fight and the lads had to stop him you're not allowed to ride the bike out of the pit lane here the repple knockout of the Western you can do here you're not allowed to so Billy here just having a bit of a moment there in that moment Glenn coldenhoff as fought his way through the X loop then saw a safe passage on that lap for the Hoff he continues to lead the way he's completed 14 laps he had an advantage even after his pit stop his two minutes 55 shrugged to two minutes 15 but still well good enough over at the new second place man Nathan Watson what's in the head of Yentl Martin's Milko potties neck drops to fourth place he's changing them and how easy is it you know Johnny is what as well as anyone in the heat of battle just to make a silly mistake I doubt it you know just to get on a bike and in a get DQ'd you could I mean all right there yeah the last thing everything good now is walking his bike out the pit it's been like get on it and gone it's an easy mistake to make corrected quickly that chapelier we're looking at now yeah who said currently in fifth place last luck time of 5 minutes 43 so I suspect he's been in the pits weird especially chapelier join me the Red Bull KTM team and I'm honestly not too sure because they just does beat races I did milk or potty sec winner of the 2k enduro in February after a colossal but with Nathan Watson without a motorcycle he is out of it potty SEC out of it winner of the skegness beach race in the u k-- in the UK lusts last year but what a shame that's a sad sight soap what a sec man looks to be out of the reckoning altogether oh come on this Beach right this is typically what happens on the track I'm afraid Greg Adkins master Pete's makes no sense then no I threw it you all of them yeah so sure piglia I'm not too true when he started riding that was a few years ago and he was out on a KTM Lance I'm guessing that's when he started riding for ferry ollie but he just does beat races so yeah there's a beat races and then he works for his dad he said for a couple of months just at 90 beat racing again so Camille chapelier currently in fourth place then benefitting for from milk or potty sex departure [Music] I'm a bit deflated about about everybody bypassing yeah yeah actually I was looking forward to the mapping to really pick their way through the chaos here's number 91 Nathan Watson back up to second place who kicked off in second place behind teammate holding off still somewhat find they the mild-mannered smiling nottingham Shipman do now I asked him why he was named after his mom rather his dad rather than his dad and he said it's because to thinks it's because she didn't want his name associated with the thumb the scrap business the meek Empire is built around a scrapyard that Rob makes old man Ron as scrap man and I think he was but Nathan got born what Sam instead is number nine that was our first clips there just for a moment this yoseop Garcia who's challenging Billy bolt for that West title in his debut in the sand the 21 year old Spaniard inspired his heroes the four-time world enduro champion Ivan Cervantes and he still talks to a lot who now you know like it helps him out a lot yeah they do a lot of training together in Spain at the moment so number 26 Joseph Garcia as I mentioned the very belief Gibbs brief glimpse of the solar set glad Todd Kellett who's just won the western beach race for the third time he's running currently in 12th place he's got another go tomorrow though well yes he has they were really dismayed to find that their motorcycle won't be released until 6 o'clock I thought with the race finishing by 4 they could be headed for the ferry straightaway so it's gonna be a long nights journey to do some more of this tomorrow they must be mad then holes look like they were getting dinged another bit of despair out on the track now yet he riders a despairs of good motivation is leaving them fast I think even the cheetah laying up a side looking like it might be getting block now but the logs getting deeper and deeper let's look at the sand there's hardly any Drive to even get your front wheel off the ground for those logs 1-0 which are in there I'm just looking at lap times and Glenn coldenhoff who's been a 7:15 and they from Watson's than a 551 a lot faster lap time so the interesting think now is a cold enough just completed 15 laps Watson is still on 14 the gap when they caught when Watson crosses the line is going to be fairly crucial and I'm looking at them I'm looking at the screen now willing it to come up Oh dear me and meanwhile people taking rests whenever they can around the track not advisable when someone's coming at you at some speed the the guy Billy ball currently 16 the World Endurance Super Series leader I think that Joseph Gus a 21st he beat early ed of manual lettenbichler in 22nd place you were saying that lettenbichler another wonderful Catalan entry that led big la has a even better gear than you guys do from the Red Bull KTM factory because he's a local boy who lives almost on the doorstep yeah he gets he gets a lot of help from the factory and he's kind of a test rider should I say like he tastes a lot of stuff before we start to run it so if it's good enough for him it's good enough him it must have been good cuz his road solid all yeah so we'll see what we get next year Glenn coldenhoff and the gap I shrunk dramatically stop yeah there's cold enough how long has he been stuck then cold enough his stock and if the gap astrak-- till 40 1.5 seconds when they crossed the line last time now he's got little pulling out it's probably got : offs pulling off is there a problem with his engine noise noise he's being shown the chicken lane is that what you call it the chicken lane yet the chicken lanes they're so calm enough can follow that let's hope that they they're equally keen the Dutch Marshalls to show Nathan Watson there are the children if I'm honest tracks the track isn't it yeah I thought you many ride on the track so coldenhoff then with 42 minutes to go past a lead over who said well he had a lead over the line over Nathan Watson a 41.5 that may now be a little less this is Camille chapelier bad mood you can see why Billy bolt riding his first son Grace of Western a few weeks ago said I did try taking me and off the bar to deal with Nichols once but out sharp he shut it back on again because I can't understand how that door 100 down the street I need home on grimly all the time this is a chalky strike that isn't I mean yeah Nathan's close the gap is 41 seconds down now that was two minutes lifted something revolve and get also that was before Glenn got it do a bit of a mess so he could get through there just a little bit there cleanly have a clean lap yeah George possible there you know what's it is moving in on him sorry it's cold then often to 5/9 back onto the straight track where he's gonna be stronger than almost anyone it's those logs that are causing the problem it's Billy Billy bolt in 16th place 13 laps completed so he's been lapped once of course by cousin of pontiff's got the west leader in his sights again because they're both on to the straight father not won his 16th laughs Billy on his 14th that's the Joker line there for the Joker line still remember four times the riders up to do this during this final technically forget that they dodged the jog delay in fact the riders don't but it's so easy to forget it this is his final timing he's done it three times already so last luck for him in now these guys are discussing how to get back out believed it's over it's a so stuck it can't possibly get it out so Glenn coldenhoff there is in the frame there with his you could see very much the influence over I think it's an Indonesian grandmother in there in his looks work very much a Dutchman Glenn coldenhoff then comes to the end of the back straight the two kilometer back straight plenty of room there in the second turn to swoop round so he's coming up to completely sixteenth lap and he's got under forty minutes now plus one lap before he achieves his ambition of winning the Red Bull knockout and who would bet against it right now two five nine then called enough on the Red Bull KTM on his curtain call with the Red Bull KTM me most a standing construct for mxgp mixture this then could be a victorious finale into the world of redbull motorsports at its finest all over the low make it your world and download the app for free Red Bull TV is available on all your devices anywhere at any time go beyond the ordinary the best beat'em up players are ready for the final who will conquer them all right I'm the best you can be beat and watch her back [Music] watch Red Bull conquest live on Red Bull TV once a professional ones in Avenue both are hardcore the passion and the love Ford for racing it for bikes this is what puts us next to each other follow tatoeba Suzy action and in Oakley as they prepare to compete in one of the toughest extreme endurance races in the world parallel-universe Red Bull hare scramble now available on Red Bull TV [Music] Glenn coldenhoff dominating at the moment the redbull knockout of 2018 but his advantage I beg your pardon his advantage may even have expired Nathan Watson has actually just crossed the line ahead of Glenn coldenhoff we saw Colin Hoff hit problems in the Joker Lane he's back to the Joker linked to the I beg you pardon the ex loop he's back to the excellent now but Nathan Watson was able to take advantage of that problem that he had and Watson the Englishman has a ten-second advantage right now so this just dead this could be a real decider well it was really as mr. rock Warren had predicted that it could be a major factor in the outcome of the race whether or not Watson has got what it takes to stay clear of cotton cold enough and have a carving of head on his shoulders to deal with areas coldenhoff is that coconut still in the excellent you know that was Nathan that was it on the outside yeah so maybe they're all getting diverted onto that line now so they're doing kind of part of the relax loop and then getting short on the chicken one yeah the chicken line a chicken thing it did look pretty impossible up on that June on that uphill June with those blobs on it and if it's plot where riders then we do want to rice and we're getting one but we are going back that's incredible so Nathan Watson that is Dada Sayer is mom Xia is kid brother Ben who finished fourth in the mx2 Grand Prix's on a Yamaha this year there's also that there Korea's diverged two years ago when his lad got the offer from Red Bull KTM to to gold and to try his hand at enduro finished second in his first case in the world enduro championship learn very fast but that was because he was writing for Kimi räikkönen's Diamond Kimi räikkönen look at the Ferrari for just X Ferrari Formula One driver looked at all trade riding out in the woods and the former head of the race department of KTM was with them and he said he was impressed with what he said you should try this let's put you into enteral we reckoned I think they offered him a contract to go enduro riding he actually when they were there he actually went faster those Maio when he was the world champion and they were playing on a test in the wood and he was faster than Mayo and on his own test in his own wood so that's I think you better be doing enduro working out well it's worked out well for the boy I mean we are and now he's looking at beaten he just enjoys this stuff so much cheese he's going to do all the rest of the French terry so he'll be racing through December January into the - kano right yeah incredible like you know close to holding off from Watson part of our ear last time in 2016 the herlands had gone this time it's for the for the win look at what a colossal sight is the tide coming in as anyone worried about that so Nathan Watson a tall gangly about 6 foot 2 is me just be getting on for your height walk you don't know one of the worst things in the sand is when you you sure it comes and took at the back in the scrub but so Nathan Watson then now in the lead the critical thing will be whether he's been at this isn't man now in second place two five nine Glencoe another looking look so dominant for three quarters at the race now he's the chaser who's got a real job on his hands it was either the pit stop all that extra but I reckon it was when he got stuck on that log in that eggs nope you've been there a while you know before we saw him I think he'd been there a while because it was pretty frantic at the Marshalls in waving up and not tantalizing gap looking as we made that ten seconds between the two red for ATM this is a proper race boys I love long races because of the way that the story unfolds as anything can happen both on big 450 KTM this is kind of what happened last year and Nathan wasn't as fast early on but let me come strong towards the answer yes is that because these the enduro rider though just you know holding off gonna be incredibly fit yes not used to riding for two hours is he there's barely any bolt in the pits then bought for his second pit stop remember there's Stanley Lee Edmondson ed these mechanic about to the shores is under where is he vowed to pull the bike off it stud village I repent Polito from riding the bike other dog seem to be pushing further building taking his time it was in the pitch it was in 15th place yeah it's twisting to the front that's good twisted Oh was that crash earlier though yeah maybe so easy that's a worse thing you know now you've got sandy home we'll try get the goggles on the rug at the Sun inside there's no point in wasting engine getting angry nobody knows for sure no sir that's for sure you just got to style away in that golf but ever looking see link leases oh he's really looking working within these luster yes advice there if he run down pit lane telling them to calm down because you know he's half an hour away now for being the ultimate enduro champion within the series driving away in a crossbow this is gonna be a pretty tense half after Billy Bowl it's gonna be a pretty tense half-hour for the Red Bull KTM Watson Glenn coldenhoff then as they cross the line now the gap is eighteen point five seconds nathan watson has pulled out will hold they did a lap of five at 23.9 against a 531 and a half on that luck for Glenn coldenhoff so what's another 91 you feel like it's crucial closing stages with some at the length of a Grand Prix motor car breaks away from victory so anything yet can conceivably happen Psalm 91 the excellent Watson and he's not gonna want a hat-trick a second place is here it has it can humming it for the first time he's an incredible rider and now they have taken that log climb out so that's one saw earlier it's gone to overcook cold the novel thumping foot that been great there's a few diehards still were determining retire but I think I'd probably go around it at this point in the afternoon watch it doesn't look at any less comfortable composed than he did at the start of this rice busy find a legend piglet number 304 they lettenbichler and Garcia of course will benefit from the fact that Billy BOTS bit into the pits and things didn't look like they've gone terribly smoothie at the moment Manny's in foot twenty first place Minister fifteen for that I think that might be I think we'll find at least Billy dropped a bit by the time he comes out and he has to deal with her a lot because now he's at the mommies on 14 loves everybody added him on 15 just ahead of him a Greg Smiths learning his thumb battling on valiantly though long time to be riding out there with a not a great grip on the path really today take three times Junior German junior Trials champion like his dad very much of trials background even though his dad became you know more fabled desert extreme enduro rider he obviously made sure that money that his kid long trials first and got well acquainted with that it was your dad a trials Rider how did you get into motorbikes Yeah right he still is now he's an old man three riding trails but yeah that's how I did it and I changed like 1718 I decided to have a goat motocross that's what I wanted to do add my friends back at home Jamie gave me long brother understand and now I was always riding with them and then I just kind of fell into it and started doing hard and you guys went to Herzberg and then finished third day my first time and that was it just got an offer then from KTM that was like when your dad went over there no I went I had a manager at the time and I went with him he's like you got to go and ride this race and I remember getting there and I didn't really know anything about it ad watch some YouTube videos and I remember riding around thinking what is this this is the worst thing I've ever three times so yeah third in my first year and then I want it clear and I think after that but yeah I remember just thinking I was stuck on a hill like 15 minutes and I was just like what is this that was Julian Stevens was it to go and do yeah yeah well I'll tell you what if one race can change a man's lifetime we made it work now this is the X loop this is what happened when the X loop fired off and it was indeed going to change the course of the race that's what Billy did that did that golf's big Mary did that to Mel Paul Cox does when Mel Paul taught was trying to stop him bending a fence to get through in a traffic jam at Western Billy said I just pushed with the bike now this is when it was clear then virtually the first man through Glenn coldenhoff through the X loop and he was all right a nice clean run it was all to change a lot later and logs got dug out and it's now impossible really and this is the current race leader then Nathan Watson but the boss as modest and unassuming a lad as his dad ever was I could watch these top rock lock riders ride sound all day long like it's just amazing now fluid they are in it gentle Martin's back into third place for the Rockstar Oscar on a team ahead of Camille chapelier as KTM Jamie McCanney up to fifth place the maximum another former world enduro chump ahead of last number called and seventh place now for chocolate on his saint lazy hispana riding the 350 which he he said we prefer to have a fourth year and what the 350 was what do you have to bring with him he was note back in 20th at Stars we moved up he's the wild table Kelly to die Jamin he's passing he's lacking a lot faster than Camille young young minds at the year we had some entertainment before this race incidental examine when Sebastian loon but debuted and they had his first drive in his Persia is Perry duck our Red Bull Virgil and in the passenger seat he had an absolute is hysterical we'd never seen Jeffrey Herlings look any with anything other than dead confident and cool look at him on the Left effector absolutely shaking his innards and his eyes absolutely on storms her Sebastian move took it for a little ride we're on the track here at the hague was the nurse I'd never imagined Jeffery would ever look at that little in the before a safe home with everything clean while back on track these fellows are still going very commendably after over an hour and a half gentle mountains back into third place on fight number 63 his [Applause] last lap oh six minutes twenty so where he's been and honest I suspect his second pit stop and then chapelier Makani really impressed with Jamie McCanney this is gonna be his best Red Bull resort if you keep it somewhere around there he's just coming back from injury right Jamie he was leading the world interior championship is going yeah and touchdown and thing he didn't shoulder something so he's just coming back from that great certainly got his his season on the sand off to a good start when he finished ninth foot the two cake marshal meth lot is down in 16th place it's let me Billy bolt in 17th place after he slightly angry pit stop he's reimbursed and only lost a couple of places so in fact still ahead in fact one place ahead and one of his rivals Joseph Garcia Montana but there's a bike in the track someone's given smoke signals to help so come on Gary actually when I was walking back from the pit so a long while after the qualifier had finished there were still bikes propped up against there the banks waiting to be rescued so I presume that they'd be gone rescue them this is Joseph Garcia very much a top motocross a winner of Spanish motocross championships as a kid before that strange season where war and look how the front end can just dig in and cut you out if you're not used to Sun Club Kellett finds the hello but the rooks that yes complete Josip now he's just a tried on the outs like that outside to the track you know try and find a smooth line I guess he's feeling a bit now is to be smiling though what that is GoPro run from Hawks though I mean it's incredible that flying lap with him it's crazy like I've been riding with him a lot and like in the woods it's ridiculous you know how much confidence he has how fast is it in the woods it's amazing yeah like he just he rides a 250f and he just pulls it wide open like this pull the clutch in and he's just clutching it everywhere and it that gap between the took them 30 7.2 seconds now all boys don't hit that nine speed that would be is really pretty serious and no one's gonna want him granting it to go out and rescue it he is Nathan Watson then knocked ER and I noticed on the must the last lap that Nathan had a fund of this waterside group down the straight world why do you think that is look he's going down the rocky side the tides come in or something like that it's just it could have got bad you know and I said the water washing the sand out and making a really bumpy it could have got really bad like that heap actually when I saw penny go through a few laps ago I'm surprised he went that deep you know yeah doc Nathan's ticking so he's going right inside the tightest line possible yo that huge first turn so Nathan Watson then leads the way here by 37 seconds over Glenn coldenhoff way 23 and a half minutes to go Red Bull knockout 2018 [Music] [Applause] [Music] and insight into the disciplines terminology and history of the toughest kind of motorbiking the ABC of hard enduro now available on Red Bull TV [Music] I was raised on the racetrack and my dad taught me everything I know then things changed I'm queen bee self-confessed petrol head and car obsessed blogger I promised my dad I'd never give up a what we built as a team you're gonna believe in the seller I'm heading back into the world of competition I'll be modifying a standard street car to create my very own drift machine you get a crash that is what happens Red Queen now available on Red Bull TV [Applause] it's a fast motocross series is back hard-working sacrifice and struggle it's an hour of pain and the best man is gonna win the championship who will push himself to victory get ready for MX Nations season for all episodes available on Red Bull TV [Music] welcome back to the red bald Knockouts 2018 here at behaved nathan Watson crosses the line in the lead then lap of five minutes 27.5 which when you consider how much the trackers are short and how that the fact that he's having to take the X loop now is pretty remarkable because nobody's actually got underneath the five-minute lap time that's impressive stuff meanwhile other people not enjoying themselves quite as much Presley those that decide that the X loop is good form and they ought to give it a bunch of ever attention as they possibly can Watson coldenhoff Yentl Martin's chapelier tot Kellett having a great ride now in on the private st. Blaise he has gone to st. Blaise he is at the motorcycle dealership way down in for more two hours southwest of Edinburgh the Kellett family home in Somerset and what a great job they do backing the Kellett family so todd Kellet they're having a storming ride and then he'll be off to try and secure 1,000 quid as the winner of the steggy beast race tomorrow 20 minutes off it will be a hard mount a stop on the brink tomorrow though he could be especially if he gets pumped up by a good result here beers good that must carry on doesn't it he's charging dive but impressive that riders Billy bolts still hammering round their bra at the moment Billy in 16th place well 20 minutes away from winning without a doubt his biggest title tonight and world leader Oh Super Series I mean he's nearly there what an incredible year that young man has had and that was that's like his third full season of competition in he was doing British jamming to trials that had never been on the market for spies yes actually really I mean it's impressed me how quickly is adapted to you know Johnny coming controls it it takes a while to get especially in sand and things like that yeah definitely it's just it's totally different you know you used to like hopping over rocks and that and then to start holding it wide open all the time you know we had change to do very different in the turns but he did as he puts it he used to be fairly brutal on trials bike Sydney used to snap frames and things and you know do stuff to them didn't he he was there and in fact he said that the kind of the slow pace of trials possibly similar to yourself as suspects kind of began to bore him a bit in the end and he just wanted a bit more action and a bit more speed that is exactly what happened to me I just cuz just be honest the best bit about a good trial is between the sections yeah just lays it in do right yeah so you just get a proper bike and do it for real there's probably nothing like trials for setting you up for any operate sport Pro Tools yeah that that fundamental discipline destroy control and a different layer is so good for you trials ice down this strike every time I see him takes my breath away look at it wants me if Steve McQueen in on any Sunday at the hours and all Graham presiding through the opposition remember they may lift the defense for him in a Cutlass sports during that Nathan Watson 41 seconds he squeezed down to this now this is phenomenal well you know what I did mention that called an our fealty leaders to train a bit more a couple of years ago he was talking about perhaps just strength not being a strong point in the the race of this war blimey there's a Suzuki boy down big time come on chapelier just ignores it and carries on with the job running in fourth place coming around to complete who's at 19 clap if you know on the gas you sound like this don't just wants to be grabbed so see the way he slashed between those two back market left this fellas exhausts full up nice ship yeah a bit now there's one of the two-stroke there's a lot of two-stroke bikes out there and in this event man's bike good to see ya good to see you here ideal for season up at the end of the strike Capel yeah sorry shuffle the air there and that as this bike is doesn't want to give out two-stroke easy is no real starting yeah no matter how hot I get look there you got the big clear out the Sun clear up the exhaust and away goes he's told mortified that it's just I wasn't a big Ronnie Mac Rev they're gonna get a clear he did yeah this is the race leader how impressive is night from what so I know you know comes from MXG favorite two feet and holding off in the sand oh yeah that's quite impressive it is yeah yeah the locals know I ride this stuff but there's our planet second at Berkshire mare second at the 2k second in the Hoxton Park the West round second at the Red Bull knockout twice sir he's a la who deserves a victory does yeah he really does the kids first where's wig so let's hope he gets it now and press it now he's come back through to set from second place put himself at 40 seconds ahead now we have cold enough oh yeah Billy one at this late stage in the race but better now than earlier on little walk down that strike I think the tide is coming in fella better hurry up and get like a tiem back or it'll be a pile of rust bath time the start is getting long straight is getting narrower now yeah Nathan Watson could become the seventh winner in the wet that now that proves that the West Sue's is doing the job that that win he wanted it to do the guy who set all thing of the the ex sporting boss at KTM because you've got Billy bolt Graham Jarvis lock Leroux mike luery remember another former motocross sir who won the treflan laaser amount in France and the Red Bull Romaniacs Wade young one that and yoseop Garcia winning at Morton mark and Alvin allows him winning the Gotland so they need to be the seventh winner credibly diverse series as you say like they set it up to be the widest hard enduro time Carl enduro classic enduro and you don't even got beat race to finish what a finale so hats off to mr. Kershaw going shackled just that was a really great idea that he had and he's redbull have made it work 40 minutes 40 then stand between a thankless one laps down between Nathan Watson and victory here at the Red Bull knockout of 2018 behind him we've got called him off Martin's chapelier Todd Kellett van Berkel Jamie McCanney axel van der sander innate Jeffrey de wolf in ninth day Minh Martin's in 1024 seconds the board tears in his lead is it's more on our timing screen so I don't know if cold not coming back but coldness last lap was faster than maybe it was yeah oh no last time wasn't actually it was about four six and slowing Nathan's got to are you Cameron when you when you you've got a lead even a kind of what not exactly but it leaden elisa elite of sorts and you've got the finnish kind of almost in your sights is that does it tense your perfect do you tender yeah not as comfortably yeah you do it when you don't realize you know you think you're you're pushing a good pace and you try to manage your gap it's it's definitely difficult to keep stretching the lead you start thinking about winning the race and stuff like that and it starts playing on your mind not to but yeah very often when things go wrong difficult take yourself in it really this is Camille chapelier who last time he did last time he wrote a strong race of course here was on a Yamaha I'll tell you what you're gonna be Moses in the tides come in that father that's a joke Elaine coming out from the joke Lane yes let's pushing them up so they're gonna have to go over the berm now it's a good tapas only 12 minutes left to it you don't have a jet to get here get down that start/finish straight down that start down that Long Beach straight excuse me Oh full chat on the 450 Nathan Watson riding at four racing at six on the inevitable 50 cc whoa is that cold enough I think that's clean cold enough so cold enough then another moment that he wouldn't have wanted there that perhaps short that little bit of fatigue is setting in because the way that he lost the front end there it just sank beneath him and he'll be pushing hard I mean he's yes Otto yes it costs the lowly go for it now I love the way that Watson's the length of leg and Shia height allows him to get so much weight over the back wheel hangs it back over that back into the bind if you watch him he rides so much on his toes and like he's so far back on the bike yeah the bike can just move see how he's on his toes yes I had my last moves underneath him everywhere he's definitely nice to watch he looks as good as anyone in the sand and he shows that almost building the foot rest on the balls of his feet yeah so basically like that'll act a bit like a suspension so the bike can move underneath him without the suspension movement even oh man yeah you can see in fact how much the exact was flexed when he's operating like that he has koltunov he's still on the straight so having had that minor fall he'll have just cost himself a few vital seconds again by the time he comes back around to complete his 20th is 20 crash Club forty three point six seconds and the tantalizing gap between first and second it's a no three and a half minutes back to Yentl Martin beg your pardon another two and a half minutes back to Yentl Martin's in third the rains really coming down it looks like now out there [Music] definitely raining sand on a lot of these people there's mostly parked up look at that I mean get far without on the back of your bike then you go punch on a beach maybe has been locked broken something with a lot of these guys be using a moon stone yeah I would've thought so because he wouldn't in a two hour race and I can get in a puncher on the last lap so yeah the logarithm boost is sometimes some people have run to we we have to run to rip locks in a tire so just in case you break a rim lock you've got another one holding on because there's nothing worse than when the tire spins on the rim [Applause] male chapelier air 24-year old Frenchman let's finish step is one the French son challenge it once finished twice second overall in the French stunt championship including this year it's amazing is it Italian in the in olden days Italians and French hated Sun in the muck the world of motocross Grand Prix racing Sun was absolutely not their thing it's amazing how it's turned around and the French in particular here's Billy Hawk just about using his old trials lighting techniques now some rise to me this thanks today he's in 15th place one of the biggest beat druggies on the planet 750 riders bolt right there at a sharp end of it he just took a glance across them that the guy who was overtaking him and what he wasn't the least bit kind of a better keep up with him was he just kind of leg long as it was emotionally money let him pitch right now he's too worried at this point Watson threading his way through the late race traffic then with less than 10 minutes to go Plus what love he's open to the lead now one minute for Wow one minute 4.8 so that was a cost before by coldenhoff what he's looking as smooth and fast as Glen was an hour ago he's me yeah exactly I mean he is coming from enduro he's used to the longer races and it's a relatively short race for some of them that we've had in the West series this year further sand is pretty entities happen yeah we had race Romania actually was and we were doing like eight hours there's that bit where I said the chicken lane was so he's tried to make the main the joke alone where it comes out he's tried to deny sleep because the tides coming up yeah so we had Romania axis year which was we were riding for like seven eight hours a day what object to go up did you say we got up a half for our breakfast and get ready and then the first ride leaves at half half 6:00 in the morning I remember the first day Nathan didn't get back to the hotel it Matt already got back ya know why they had a long down that I said we used to this on yeah this is nothing I've been a start till midday what o'clock there's the standings the virtual West standing Billy bought four seven three zero four four two zero four legged Bikila four one zero three for Nathan Watson man Watson leapfrog from six two thirds incredible just by virtue of a thousand points for victory here I didn't realize that what happened so he could be a bronze medalist in the first world enduro circuses that is impressive second a horse stone gave Emma could put it yes that was a good home 854 second place and then a win of course to die if he if he makes it less than ten minutes in the lap away now anyone you know there's Xers that yeah everyone was like oh yeah benefits he extreme riders but it actually doesn't when you look at this star the season yeah like you're in a year it's been yeah apply the way it's built actually really good it's so important we're going to have to st. may bet the same half-dozen events next year what a possible change towards the end of the season you know the question mark or for Gotland and here at the Red Bull knocked out we are intriguing to see how the season the second season on the on the basis of the first one might be the first one seems to have lookup which is on the balls of his feet that she was saying coming Morgan level this time is it you wanna put it look how deeply as art is uncle's are angled when he's coming to watch it hey only good it gives it like an extra two-inch no for you for your heels to movement it makes a big difference and look at the one look at the water coming up now what would be the pier that's really surging now true underneath the fear some of these lutz that you don't want to leave your bike there nah this is the last time to break down on the water's edge that's for sure it's really searching in call it pillars of the pier wow look at it parting the sea I get a power washer on that tonight quite quickly after this right side given that like a wash daily yeah I left mine in the back of the van for three days after Western and you couldn't get out of the van cuz the underbars are deterred anymore come here is chapelier when we returned to the beach in 2015 after an absence of father cousin toz finished third that year and we've never we didn't know he was he just came out there's no way finished third on a Yamaha he was a Yamaha France man back then does that mean he has to do the joke lane one more time he's only got three J's upon their Enzo in Worcester it's got you better do it right time for the wife Easter botany in the poverties if averages left fourth place so he needs to do it fairly handily just me and that be a DQ if he doesn't so Watson coldenhoff the Yentl Martin's chapelier in fourth tadka Latin fifth Jamie McCanney in sixth at the moment we've got three Brits I'm sorry to sound biased in the top six which is a pretty Herculean effort here out of a sand of the Netherlands that is impressive you know consider you got van Berkel bandhas and Ed DeWolfe and Damon Martin's behind ranked more no less behind these guys as well you know that these are old Belgian and Dutch some specialist yeah the best in the world of it yeah they might become and rapidly to a halt they're annoying to get this far and not actually finished yeah that's true just that lovely lady with the checkered flag how would that they're dead Sebastien ler but better move this is red Paul duck our personal fairly soon swamp we have seen vehicles disappear up to go reason water at Western super that the tides come forward again haven't we they don't tell you off inside it could be a problem yeah and that tide is absolutely surging in how far it is in that a third of the way up the straight you might have an added water hazard for the last couple of laps someone parked their motorcycle yeah we might I say although better stood up and laid down for someone to hit cuz yeah your visibilities poor along that strike usually yeah it's not like you you're full chat and you can't see anything after Todd yeah a lot of the time you'll ride the full straight with the worst vision yeah because you don't want to pull your tear offs and straight you roll offs because then you go through them too fast so you literally do the straight wincing do you get to the corner then you pull them and then you go again that's exactly what Finley said he was doing at Western he said I was losing a lot of time at the end of the straight yeah by then I couldn't see anything but I wasn't gonna take my hands off the bars and do anything about it till I get boots to the core I thought it was a good decision Oh Pelly air in trouble the proper firing W yeah and this was the luckless milk Oh what is that when he was still actual this is a remounted camille chapelier there's Billy bought from the 57 using that 15 store to go to advantage different ways of tackling the logs did the curd me that one done we haven't seen is another of the Geordie boys Matt Moffatt we saw him on the start line but when they were lining up or haven't seen him since about 13th in this race last time we were here he doesn't feel good she took him a while to get himself clear of that boy living in a way where ideal yes get on it didn't feel that slim feel good again I beg your pardon Matt Moffitt was taught me was 8 in 2015 you know he was looking to create himself a career in sand racing really with what we do paper doing he had a big crush this year did you know no I did not know you had a really big crash and it was at local mall cross back at home and he was out like an fury was in a corner and up a little bit alright he's in a bad way right so that cuts that would obviously hover among to anything yeah two minutes plus two laps to go then for Nathan Watson the leader of the 2018 Red Bull NACO the return of the red ball knocked out to Lascaux burning on beach here in the hague and Nathan again seeking out somewhere near the CH without going too close to it look at the burn let's farm just from coming out of that one lane yes I was flat straight it's there now yeah time mr. perfection the end of this race I'd say yes you could say that good so that's the tractor that's gonna go out and recover all the bikes that are strewn around the beach afterwards and there will be dozens of them there's the first second and third place men on track it looks as if those three at least will finish on the same up as they did Herlings Nathan Watson and Glenn coldenhoff two years ago and she noticed I knit without levy winning it because he's got a lead of a minute now which must at least beginning to feel almost comfortable I was I was quietly couching my doubts when Johnny was talking earlier about the phone thinking that Nathan would come on strong in the later stages I'm really impressed with how well early on smooth and fast he is now at the all I mean don't know didn't look like he was gonna be touched didn't read it more name and he had a good lead really good lead but it all went wrong when they opened up the X excited I think that's probably where he got stuck and lost that time on that log we caught it on but then it's Watson that's looked absolutely untouchable since then he nice to see him win it after being second the last two tribes here in Philly balls actually moved up to 13 yeah oh well don't William that's a good way to type McDonough lady hates being called William our holy and our captions change besides william bolt I have to call him is fine after this when he was signing all those posters for the Dutch fans I said I hope you sign even William that Nathan come here you could see straight away who that your eye is caught by the guy who's got the perfect kind of timed bounce [Applause] right you know one of the things this table had learned a lot from about from his dad is that Rob meat was a had preparation for a beach Rees race off to perfection like how to prepare his motorcycle all the little nuances that you needed to get right to win a beach race Mickey had that absolutely salty and no doubt he's passed down to Nathan and it's true and Rob as well was a motocross so that when you're a little bit with famous as Nathan right success harvest some success with it as an enduro rider didn't team yeah originally it was a star in the am say the amateur Motorcycle Association last laps sign goes out then and it goes out for Nathan Watson the Englishman more fast one more lap to go to finally nail a red ball knock out of the factory Red Bull KTM this could be looking which is going it's there it's thought that that counterbalancing the motorcycle all the time your body's on the movies Nathan it just kind of to a couch potato like me it kind of frightened you a bit now and then Yin it just takes that one moment where it goes wrong at speed you know and there was yeah I was going to say someone went down the line but Jun then look how good he is feet up through this you know really technical ups and downs here throughs massive worked no problem for Nathan Watson do you get to do much riding with Nathan are you more serious rival now we're now we're all good you know like Billy everyone we all ride together we'll do tests together and stuff like that so no one really hates each other which is good you know know that let me if they impression you get among in the Endura world that everybody is what adduct you know what that's motorcycle sported yeah like that the best thing about the yos at the start of the year we all may often do the team photo shoot which lasts like three to four days yes and like we ride together all day every day it's a that's probably the the best time in the yo you know when you're riding with all that lot onion yes yeah it's really fun so Nathan Watts and then there are all six foot two inches of it you know it's amazing it was it bed and his brother was always the tiny little nipper blogging the hot blonde blue-eyed kinda like angelic looking lads but Ben was very very small and he's certainly straw out and he's virtually the same height as Nathan though Nathan Watson uncomfortably leading the way now Glenn coldenhoff the early pacesetter in second mental Martens inferred as regards the Wes champion it's looking increasingly likely to be Billy Bolton huskvarna they're running in 13th place money lettenbichler has moved up to 16th just ahead of Joseph Garcia Montana they're having their own little kind of private battle would that still mean I'm just running how would that still mean that Garcia lost third place in the champion where - Nathan Watson I'm not sure I think it were the earth and the moment Nathan would get a handy thousand points Joseph Garcia in 17th place there's Billy okay feels pretty good right now 504 net it's just flopping it just means just looking his way through strong lad strength today but he's I mean it's a great ride from him [Music] yeah I did his way around riders still and good for them top lads as well you're not about to look after the bikes a bit today they've all managed that yes yet we had know that we were just up one retirement little Potter set the monster top liners coming around now any time to take yeah I think it's on the street see my partner's a lot my bump they said Watson we must be Pemex national champion MX that's Billy was going through though was it going through the lugs still going through the knock on the chicken line he's keeping it real about keeping it real good point if it is at this guy in his first season and they're on a 450 was the mx1 national champion of platforming the you case that was 2014 Nathan Watson born on the 10th of May 1994 so only 24 years old huge future ahead of him and Billy bolted for said the nut from wilds end said it was fairly handy for going over for EM European trials rounds with his mum and dad because they're only ten minutes from the Newcastle ferry orbitally the evident over to Rotterdam but he looks a bit happier now he's got clear about those mental boots he's just looking a little more relaxed so Billy bought that we got two British riders then headed for their own respective victories here this man Billy Bolton espanha heading for victory in the world enduro Super Series ahead of Manuel lettenbichler and Nathan Watson who at the same time will take victory in the redbull knockout it's been a transcending 12 months but Billy bolt the time is he's there he arrived in enduro just a few years ago but now you know series dare I say it a little bit further than ago but we're almost there and finally at three years after after following is his dad Rob me into the history books as the winner at the Western Beach race Nathan Watson's going to take after a three-year blight where he's finished largely second it looks as if he's going to take the checkered flag and win himself the red bull knockout the top of speech race in the world and learn appropriately for the Red Bull KTM team he's got party on oh and win himself across Bowl I mean where will you keep that Park thing I beg your pardon across bowl dr. Billy bones that will be a hell that light up water you could have called someone else to tell you he is look at this the riders are lining the side of the truck ready to take the checkered flag but the main man takes the checkered flag and you could see the relief that he threw his head back there watson has finally achieved victory in the red bowl knockout ii in 2015 second in 2016 and he won it the hard way he was a long way back mid race and he clawed himself bugging the contention got the better of the real man informed home here all Glenn coldenhoff that was a fine ride and Billy bolt is surely going to be crowned as world enduro Super Series champion that man in orange of course will take the bronze medal in the inaugural world enduro Super Series and Billy riding for the Rockstar hispana T lying in the 13th place in the race well it may be on looking for somebody certainly ain't up looking for him at this moment in time the former trials Rider turned enderal racer he'll come on behind coldenhoff Yentl Martin's coming chapelier tot Kellet Jamie McCanney and sixth man bar called mad Lysander DeWolf Damon Martin's Marshall Medlin and William bolt as he still is on under our timing screen when she's in her takes the expression for the 21 year olds of Wallsend on the mouth of the River Tyne up in my native northeast of England somewhere amongst that crowd will be crossing the line to take the checkered flag Edmonton complete is a twenty-first laps or three laps behind patients are put it matters not he has been the most consistent performer over the whole season although technically Glenn coldenhoff I'm sure will sportingly congratulate his teammate at Red Bull KTM I donek Nathan seen him yet I think Nathan tummy his body off taken is that with Billy no radio Gomez Stanley's mechanic of theirs manager said that was Jess on the right that set your own good lady way and that was Roxie on the left Billy box young woman fella Michael sankarsana know he's gonna bury his bike he's decided he not feed off I never want to see you again we're finished an air of the girls example examine working out times working out times it's got two more corners to go they'll be married if anything went wrong now he carried that luckily yes his shoulder wound especially dr. Alfredo Gomez another ploy he's a former world junior trials champion Gomes to the Guardian jury this year big trials Jay coming back from a nasty knee injuries completed the racing number two Camille chapelier and Watson and Stanley and cognize mechanic there on the right-hand side and the black woolly hat he is the kid brother of Paul Edmondson the former world into a champion and he's there to greet Billy bolt who just crossed the line to be crowned the first ever world enduro Super Series champion Nathan Watson they're as happy as ball tears about that in fact all the guys look pretty chill for a lovely character it's like the Northeast its massive what he's done to win the words massive for it his teammate Alfredo Gomez and a huge hug as well for Nathan Watson wonderful to see these seeds of jubilation and emulsion really because a lot of but I know that it's people harp on about hard work what this is a sport that demands a pretty large amount of work from people there's Joseph Garcia still not reached the finishing line he's rotting in 17th place behind Manuel lettenbichler and there's Paul there's that Paul Bolton Dylan no a big leap Arden I thought for a moment it was Bolton he hadn't finished the race and he was giving a hall to Billy Paul so they're all there congratulating one another on well-deserved victories and hugely entertaining race I'd rather we came back again they come we come back again next year please rather than leave it two years I'm not coming back next year I'm racing we'd have rather seen you out on the track ya mean I suddenly come here coughing there's a company of chapelier there on the left-hand side of picture he looks fresh doesn't he he does look incredibly fresh so there's sand on his face concentrating you know we continue mate we've we've been Sun no Billy bolt they're giving Stan Lee Edmondson a ride back to the pits and that he should have fall off he's bound to fall off with Lee Bob on the back is the trophy well he need to be back for the rostrum ceremony has someone told him we go because we'll have to rostrum ceremonies one for these boys there's the disappointed understandably disappointed Glenn coldenhoff and his beautiful lady surrounded of course by the Dutch media and 204 money lettenbichler it would be second in this championship of course he'll be able to stand on the rostrum of the world enduro super series 2018 don't like that story you told me about hidden ripping off his glove and then having a rip is now yeah it's the mirror yeah I got some sort of blood poisonous I wish that was a shocking condition yeah and his thumb it looks like a bent old carrot right now carrot thumb on him sounds like the sort of carrot I tried to grow have failed to grow any apartment this is Glenn coldenhoff does that mean that we're going to get out hopefully Jenny will be able to grab a word with the man who finished second then Glenn coldenhoff second in third in 2016 second in 2018 each time edged up by this guy Nathan Watson get that thing away from there quick he needs help that man oh he's gonna lose like the ocean look a bit stressed [Music] on you're letting bigger three times German junior Trials champion before tourney still only 20 years old I mean these guys have fur I mean I was a bit stronger Jonny to realize that you're now 27 oh you as well past it Jonny I am no joke you know there's there's Ranger there's rocks in his little South African lady friend congratulating Billy bolt you'll be back doing your will you'll be back well excuse me but there are guys like under his lettenbichler although he has just packed in and Graham Jarvis at 43 David Knight at 40 you were still rocking on doing this kind of stuff Knight is racing the skegness beach race to me is he yeah sounds bigger struggle he could certainly be so Nathan Watson Glenn coldenhoff Yentl Martens there he is number 63 will be on the rostrum at the end of the red bull knockout 2018 chapelier Todd Kellett Jamie McCanney will miss out on it rounding out the top six with and I think we've got Billy bolt and Jenny with Jenny down in the pits Billy Billy Billy you are the first ever world enduro the first champion my I'm lost for words what a race he has been what a year it has been for you yeah for about two girls are celebrating it still hasn't sunk in out all yet I'm speechless to be honest that I know it's such a long year so many races different races you know like massive team effort from everybody you know if so many but different kind of bikes and just you know huge effort so thank you to everyone at rocks Tahoe ski family and everyone back home for you know supporting us in and getting us here to where I am today so definitely hasn't sunk in so I don't know have a clue what I'm saying to be honest Buddha I'm sure it will and you'll get a proper interview soon but I'm just completely lost words at the minutes go ask you about the second half of the race and you came in the second time I took a pair of your goggles in the shin and you said she's twisted on the front how difficult was the final part of that race it was right after the pit stop it was straight again I did about three laps with the foot twisted and well it happened there for a bit and I just kept making more mistakes and more mistakes and ended up coming in and getting a face full of Sun so that I came in to get goggles I thought I might as well straighten it out I had a quick look at the watch and it was 40 minutes left I thought if I stopped for fuel now I'm I'm safe for the end of the race so came in and had a bit of a tantrum in and out a regrouping that is pretty strong and second off to the race boy yeah absolute chaos I can't even remember what happened in the race to be honest it's just a blur but now over the moon first ever world enduro Super Series champion legend Billy bolt ladies and gentlemen that was it that's a guy you were such an enthusiastic kid that he used to be at the age of 10 11 12 they used to be observing at trials and he used to write he used to ride round is one of those guys at the Scott try and the famous Scott trial in Yorkshire collecting riders after the whole thing was over you know like he got back on the trials bite for the Scott trial came 13th yeah and he's finished 13 here so it was a beg your pardon he's finished 12 he finished 12 he moved into 12th place on that outside the top ten that's impressive but running finished 12th and 13th yeah and the fact is that he was such an enthusiastic kid that all he ever wanted to do was find a way of riding his bikes and this is where the show becomes a threat ladies and gentlemen we're team works needed Jack yeah but you need two guys because you can only move one bike at a time which Yamaha shall we say what's the coin for having the 4/8 for Scotland nod and I think Jenny's also got hold at the Red Bull knockout winner nathan Watson I have got a hold of him Nathan finally two second places and you eventually take the win here at the knockout the normal smile has been doubled yeah I just can't believe I've been I was so emotional went across the line in a second Italy to UK second year twice and to finally do it I put everything into that and yeah can't believe it see how much it means to you also third in the West series as well it's been a hell of a day for you night yeah I didn't I didn't know that until across the line yeah that's just a bonus and I just so so so happy for everything thanks to the team for all the hard work and yeah amazing day what I might thank you look all that means to him Jericho yeah Andy date to the to the family his old man and his mom and Ben they'll be in a similar spot to stay yeah somewhere and the wonderful thing about Rob make is in complete contrast to your archetypal motocross dad that I'm sure you is that Rob Mickey always stayed completely in the background there was never any of that pushing the lads along or anything he kept the estate it just gave them the support they needed and that was it below then push emx dad's out there it's not the way you do it let him grow on their own how was your dad Johnny was he you know he wasn't like that he was a helpful cellist killed yeah chilled I should think so he's probably brought up a fairly chilled son that's me yeah you would think he would is that gentleman was that the still photograph I'd that gentleman just gone to sleep standing up but it's possible after that look at the tide surging in now that that left line it is almost lost and I think Jenny's also caught up with the 20-year old money lettenbichler Manny what a year has been for you and to end it the way you have done today by your own admission not the most comfortable on the sand but it's been a great day for you second in the West series yeah it's for somebody you like I want to I want to thank my dad and like my friend just because they're supporting me like all all year long and I got a pretty good rhythm in them in race so I was was super stoked about that because just find a good flow and then could go like a good speed for sure really was was on it also but I think I made a good chop it's it's nice to finish the season well and we were looking forward for the next year training over the winter and hopefully come back strong it's been an incredible year for you you say you come back stronger next year I mean really it's only between you said I mean obviously there's Taddy and Johnny and everyone else but yourself from Billy perhaps just been that that little bit ahead of everybody else in terms of performance and especially consistency so is looking good at going into next year for sure for sure like I'm always trying to be consistent and don't code - grazie at the races so it was it was a good year and I'm happy and now it's time probably for beer thank you thanks to my dad that's something he's taught me it's now time for a beer yes to relax well there from the right part of the world right or in my case is Shandy what was it Radler brothers they're wonderful should ear in Holland bear with Shan in a bottle rattler it's absolutely Jack honest I don't think we should promote the drinking of Shandy I'm from the South man I got to be careful I'm never gonna live it down I've never drank a Shandy in middle life excuse me but I'm from the land of Newcastle exhibition and Newcastle Brown Ale mate so on that for me to be talking about shandi's is probably fairly disgraceful yeah Glenn coldenhoff there and the fabled number two five nine that he'd be carrying into the MXG next year mxgp T's next year I hope that hasn't burst his bubble of confidence Johnny it won't have damaged him too much I should be good I guess it's I guess he's happy to get it over with you know they have such a long season racing across so much travel in that and yeah I guess this is the final race of the earth rim so be happy to get it over with and I guess he's going on holiday soon you know I think that now you mention it that could well have contributed just to fatigue really I mean it's not just the race thing it's the huge amount of traveling to those events as well yeah yeah I'm just guessing but I guess after the Nations it'll probably chilled out a little bit yes and I think we have got up with that it caught up with Glenn coldenhoff but with Jenny Jenny over to you I'm down here with Glen Glen a tough race it started out so strong I mean nobody could touch you once the X loop open things changed a little bit got that little bit more tricky yeah sure you know in the beginning I felt good and I took I think two times already the the Joker Lane and and was still a front and yeah once they exclude when open you know I was the first lap was okay I mean I I cross the trees and the thing also I was no problem but the lap after you know there was a lot of traffic and yeah I was I was a bit scared to get disqualified and and you know sorry I I still went over the trees and and yeah that the third lap I came to the X loop I still wanted to do the trees but my friend was waving they're coming on the side come on the side and I said no I want to go over and and but then I saw someone from the organisation here and he also told me go go aside and you know I think I lost a bit of time there but on the you know so we had a small issue in in pit lane and we were very very lucky because I almost completely empty empty my fuel tank when when I came in and so I was a tough day tough race I would say but in the end very disappointed with the second place listen third in 2016 second this year you know you're just gonna follow what Nathan Watson's done basically it's first next time yeah sure no I'm I must really say you know after destination so I really put in the work and then put in the hours on the bicycle on the bike and everything and I really tried my hardest but today wasn't my day I think thanks Lin that is one of the most gracious sport you could ever meet Glenn coldenhoff who has finished second in the redbull knockout and remember the guys he did he did wait a lap longer than Nathan Watson before pitting for fuel didn't do so they they obviously got very borderline it sounded like it yeah and he sounded lucky something didn't maybe didn't feel quick enough or something it sounded Lee said they had an issue in there cuz he did lose a chunk of time but you know we saw him take that line up the side of the track and we said about it and he just addressed it there I mean yeah what a gentleman I'm the man who loves his mark cross so I hopefully love what the well-earned holiday will come now because he opportunity have taken it since the Lamy they start stupidly early we're on air with them from about the beginning of march yeah yeah I think the first one is should you off or something like March the 10th you might have tomorrow often meanwhile various motorcycles being rescued before they are drowned which is probably a good thing yeah got the amount of kit that has to be around on this beach to deal with things is quite overwhelming 750 volunteers out there today it's not happening on the track yep one for every rider in the final yes yeah oh somehow no a source of motorcycle are left by yourself I think that bike that looks like it's been abandoned sister's name well poor thing it needs a bit of tender loving care and attention at least those have got it well if he gets old of it by the way after the qualifier this morning lot of work going gauntlet on down in the pits yeah the pitch where a hive of activity crammed with people cleaning up and sorting out motorcycles for the main event it's that sort of work behind the scenes that you tend to forget sometimes but that's right I mean family was quite drive it like brake pads can go and new filters have gotta be put in and all that's made a lot harder by the fact with sand everywhere yes the war levels you know all those things just to make sure there's a lot can go wrong at a beach racing and sudden particularly evil stuff isn't it because it wears sprockets exactly literally it's like brake pads chains pillars constant you know usually sorry a bike after a beach yeah they've been loads of these in the paper Oh Roy only ridden one so Nathan Watson takes victory then from Glenn coldenhoff and Yentl Martin's they'll be the guys who will get on the podium for the red bull knockout 2018 also have that second podium which Nathan Watson will reappear on alongside Billy bolt and Manny lettenbichler as well you know Paul board inside pop up 2018 yeah 818 for Paul Bolton his boots off Garcia he warmed up with a 10th place at Western Superman would ride their lettenbichler finished 15th Garcia 16th Paul Bolton elated Bradley Cox 20 year old son of the legendary Alfie Cox has finished in 19th place and then there's Roxy Billy and Stan Lee Edmondson oh no they got the banner ready goodand good and proper didn't they oh of course Billy's dad was coming over last night wasn't he he was on his way for the actual event today they were saying his grandma was coming but she's in a wheelchair and they didn't know how they were gonna get her onto the beach for the podium work that out before I'm sure they'll find a way the resourcefully available the careers yeah the remaining bikes on the beach that would be nice to have that number one plate on the front nearby do you know one plate he said hanging his head the number one plate is traditionally a really hard plate to defend with that's right not if champions don't have a good year when they kind of abandoned their normal racing number for the number one plate like Red Bull KTM wanted Paul's Yanis to one number one in mxgp this year which he did with his little number 41 inscribed at the bottom of the number one but it wasn't enough when he lost the championship forgave Prados everyone wants to beat the number one that's it it's like a target on your back oh yeah it's a bit of a sore point with if you hadn't suffered injury you'd have been well in the running for this title John I'd like to think I could have been fighting for the championship yeah but things that I'm going to be told yeah I'm gonna start literally when I start riding and I'm just gonna focus on the West championship and try and get ready for next year yes you're not doing the indoor super enduro series I don't think so I don't think I'll be ready for it my wrist still isn't good so we'll just take it as it comes you know I'm doing loads of work anyways to try and get fit my main goal was to be ready for this race and we didn't make it I've had literally six hours of physio every day since I had the operation to ridden here to doc I mean to me to look at your wrist and what you've been so many operations I mean it's incredible but yeah I mean like it's a credible the shape you're in already I honestly didn't expect to be as good as I am now you know my physio was like oh yeah you'll be good we'll get you ready for Gatlin it was the plan and then we changed the plan after to get ready for yeah and he just kept saying these dates all the time so I've done so much physio it's horrible yeah driving to the physio for three hours driving home having lunch going back this is the son of a former 500cc motocross world champion who actually won that championship on ojas born in 1993 Jackie Martin's gentle Martin's on the rock star husky finished third in the redbull knockout 2018 second place for Red Bull KTM and Glenn coldenhoff [Applause] well now herlands feels sat down knowing that he maybe could have risk well I think I'm right they wanted the break didn't he he wanted to get frightened noisier by yeah and easier to present the trophy's Jeffrey Herlings then comes up to present the trophy to Nathan Watson his successor as winner of the red bull knockout Nathan's got to heave that above his head which he manages to do so a red bull knock out the winner that will take pride of place in the scrap yard at meats and not enough I won't get much for is not a lot of metal working there no that's true that's very true well I know on display on this elated celebrating end with their unloading the champagne and Yentl Martin's Glenn coldenhoff and Nathan Watson ole Nathan foolishly emptied his champagne ahead of cold enough so he gets an eyeful as compensation that's nasty story I got a complete hit on my cameras when I was hoarding nothing at a British championship motocross podium and that absolutely destroyed just like sticky horrible however it's alright to spray and drink so yep so let's check out the official results of the redbull knockout of 2018 and the wind went eventually to Red Bull KTM who came very close to a one-two-three Nathan Watson Glenn coldenhoff Yentl Martin's interrupting for a smarter in third place ahead of Camille chapelier Todd Keller to Jamie McCanney excellent rides on the st. Blaise II Husqvarna for Todd Keller in 5th place Jamie McCanney from the Isle of Man six the head of man Buerkle thunder sander melon in 11th place the new West champion Billy vault in 12 place ahead of Jos met son Gregg Smits enjoying his first of a beach race to Monte a lettenbichler Garcia Montana but Rouge Paul Bolton Bradley Cox and Rudy Lamas louder Rico Lamas sorry rounding out the top 20 and of course they were eventually after the qualifying this morning and precisely 661 riders went to the line because they were the number of riders that survived the qualifier after this point quality so you've finished the qualifier you were in the qualifier in except for the unfortunate Robbie Maddison because bad old word got disqualified a rider would have been 662 steam so here we go this will be a Nathan Watson will be back here because he even finished third dis vaulted himself from six to third in the championship Nathan Watson then winner of redbull knockout 1000 points added to his score and that's good enough to vault him into bronze medal positions in I thought up which one is a number three box well done Nathan he was impressive today really impressive that was good nap doctor cut cut eggs over overemphasize one a an excellent family they are modest charming bunch of people make II always was at the height of his career and then Manny lettenbichler another man of course with a successful racing father the World Endurance Super Series champion then of 2018 no first ever West champion is Billy bolt for rockstars father he will win the cross pole and the other two boys will have a bash if they want to at the crossbow rookie challenge and worth 10 grand apiece they can race a round of that dirt crossbow challenge that could be a lot I'm more intrigued by what the gospel be doing along dusty and that wall then havoc Lonnie [Applause] city Bolden absolute confusion as a kid and thereafter all his family were into motorcycles and sports but not one was really competitive Billy's turned out to be the very competitive wise first major title but you know star young not his last I would say yeah because he's I mentioned earlier second third and fourth places all the time in school boy Giles to the likes of Jack price and urine Roberts never actually won one he was that good at trial was that surprising to see him go injury but it was one of the things he said I don't know whether Johnny would agree was that he he said trials went in the wrong direction he started to make them easier and he said that was what kind of made them boring for him and why he decided to see fresh challenges well you don't get a much bigger challenge than willing this year is not the pugilist baby Roxy enjoying the fact that her fellows just become the World Endurance Super Series champion and of course there's no only one person could become the first champion in a series like this so I just want to be really remembered by events all diverse and you know it's Billy that is dealt with him best yeah so Billy bolt 12th in the Red Bull knockout that then presents him with the championship and they said let's check out the overall standings in the world enduro Super Series four thousand eight hundred point for Billy bolt Manuel lettenbichler a salvage is an excellent second despite a hand injury Nathan Watson faults into 6 into third place Joseph Garcia in for Tony Blazusiak is there ahead of fall Bolton Wade young and the rest and there is the cross pawn a cowboy they cannot let him loosen up this I can't give him that I didn't realize it was like a racing is it's all will he be able to scoot off down the horn look he's gonna drive her own Willian Filip there from the World Endurance Super Series in them smart gray jackets are there to present him with the cross ball ask him what he's gonna do with it boys just have a word with him and say you know wonder if there any restriction in UK route law that would prevent me just having a play with this along the walls end so that blatant gentleman was it that was not only the redbull knockout 2018 it was the culmination of the World Endurance Super Series I'm Chuck barnacle I've really enjoyed the company of Rob Warner and Johnny Walker we wished Johnny all the best for 2019 he'll be back to full fitness and health and taking part in this wonderful series in 2019 when it's been a really dramatic day here on the beach we saw Glenn coldenhoff come close to victory and then this man Nathan Watson snatcher dramatic finale and then Billy bolt crowned as the World Endurance
