**Recovery Rant**

that was amazing all the effort we did just trying so hard so we got a call for a chevy cruze and then something else stuck in the sand we got two of them out there so a double extraction if you will all right and then of course we got ed with the weather yeah it's clear and warm hot we'll get it out [Music] we're looking for you we're trying to follow your directions we went to the we went all the way to the end of the pavement to the road we've been looking for uh oh that might be you standing right [Music] got stuck there there and it was deeper and we went through the deep end yeah so pretty much you guys are the kind of people that are fun to rescue we're so excited so we're going to pull them back to here and then hook it on the front and pull them out [Music] yeah it's front wheel drive i'm sorry about that we're going to pull it back to here and then when the front end's not buried like it is right now then i can hook to the front and pull out okay i just don't want to dig for 20 minutes to get under there this does not have the same hooks on each side it's got a nice hook on that side it's got a hole here but it has a it's got a casting that keeps that hook from going in there [Music] oh [Music] yeah this one's easy the one that we grabbed yesterday they drove out into a dry lake and it was dry two inches and then just peanut butter underneath that a nice new toyota tacoma you're gonna are you guys taking us out to the stream so we don't get stuck again yeah thank you i'm riding that i'm riding in anything oh yeah [Music] [Music] so we got out there and got both of them found and got them pulled out without too much trouble what do you say ed them guys are happy to see you they have that pretty bad crazy drive out in there in that little car anyway you done good that's it we sure did the second vehicle we're going out to get is a 2020 jeep wrangler so we'll go see if we can get that guy out okay so your wheels are turned about perfect right now so go ahead and put it in dry [Music] foot off the brake okay you're going to want to help a little bit where's your tack at right here so you're probably going to want to keep it around 2000 rpm but definitely don't run over my rope oh that's so much fun though so we're going to make we're going to make a big loop around here just pull you back out on the road perfect [Music] [Music] [Music] oh thanks bro man this thing's heavy yeah this looks crazy yeah awesome okay so we got a call for an audi that's stuck in the sand out here to sand hollow i think it's a q7 i'm not sure exactly what that is but we're gonna find out in a minute and we're gonna go see if we can get it out so it's gotta be over 110 degrees today somewhere around there there's an extreme heat warning we left ed and the dogs home just because we don't want to stress them out [Music] [Music] [Music] but don't overrun the rope and when we get out there just start easing on the brakes so you don't like i don't want to stop and have you hit me [Music] [Music] [Music] not satisfied customer that's that thank you gentlemen hey that was easy enough just need the right equipment oh boy is it ever hot out there well that one was easy he had his hitch already on there and he was able to drive backwards with no trouble so that made it a real uh real slick operation so some of you are going to talk to me about that guy that did everything wrong eight times in a row and finally broke a 5 8 shank ball off i need something a little more real world i need kinetic energy ropes i need 7 8 shank balls which is what 99.9 of them that i come across like the one i just did i need a kinetic energy rope breaking off a toe ball i mean i'm open to learning if you have that please please point me in the right direction give me a link or something i've done a lot of research i haven't come across it but that doesn't mean it didn't happen put it in the comments section and let's see if we can learn about this but don't send me a link to that guy i would never do see what do you have to do wrong you have to use a static strap you have to go 45 miles an hour and you have to be hooked to something so stuck it feels like it's chained to a tree and then if that doesn't work you have to cut the ball halfway off you have to cut the shank halfway through that's a lot of a lot of wrong things to do in a recovery so when you're dealing with absolutes it really limits you if you say never use a toe ball for recovery i would have to qualify that to this never use a tow ball for recovery if the level of energy needed to extract the vehicle exceeds the strength of that tow ball and something else that i was thinking of while the camera was off and now i'm going to mention again any of these cars that i tow off any of them if they had a tow ball if they were using that guy in australia's halfway sawed-off tow ball that would be stronger than what i'm actually connecting to on those cars they don't have anything underneath them that is substantial and i have to decide how much force how much energy i'm going to be putting into the recovery so as not to damage their car and uh cause things to come flying back at my jeep so and if any of you are misunderstanding me as being frustrated or upset i'm not this is purely education this is what i do we've been doing this for a long time and we've been doing it successfully for a long time and i'm just just giving you my point of view and why i do it this way and thanks for watching
