Rock hounding! Crystals, Agate, opal, And More!!! Quest 4 Treasure # 82 By: Quest For Details

[Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] hello welcome back we are on a quest for details I'm going to do a little rock counting in a creek that I've never been in so I'm private property that we got some permission to cut through and access and that I'm pretty sure nobody else has ever even walked on look at this this is pretty cool it's right next to the new telephone pole this is an old one that they cut off at the ground look how far down that goes sack three or four feet pretty cool now the only way down to this Creek it's aligned with this stuff it's called Timothy Bush and it's a lot like poison oak even has three leaves but they're not actually joined the same I'm following a little deer trail in so I got to do one of these because I tried to push him through standing up and it didn't work so I have to do the crawl through if you've ever been out in thick thick thick scrub brush you know what I'm talking about so about to do one of these [Music] I'm touched territory look at all that gravel awesome you see what's here got the bucket in the East Wing these East Wing is a they're a little more pricey but they have the softest grip on the handle and it makes a real difference however their design works it doesn't transfer up into the bones of your hand and that makes a big big big deal let me tell you can hold two of these hammers that look a lot alike and bang on rocks with them and you feel it instantly the quality so that's one of those real deals it look what's laying right on top you see that so here's like a sandstone but it's got a little layer of goodness on it zoom yeah sugar under the first cool thing in the water what are you green my very thin little layer of some sort of quartz it's a little ledge there looks like a little vein work in it that's pretty cool little Fleck it is so good to be out in a wide-open spot I've been treasure hunting and hanging out in some very urban areas which is cool because that's where you find people treasures and left behind stuff but it's nice to get out to where you're the only noise and you're the only footprints the only crunching and munching is along the way literally the air is better and you don't realize how much the noise pollution has gotten to you until you get away from it your ears are just sitting there hearing me occasional but what I don't know here I'm looking for artifacts today because I feel like just a beautiful valley before the farmers gotten here I don't know I don't see a lot of obsidian there usually isn't a lot of obsidian so it's one of those try and guess what materials they were making their tools out of and stuff but uh well yeah just keeping my eyes open for shape and looking at the natural materials that are around and trying to spot what they might have used and then arrowheads and spear tips and tools made out of that and everything else pretty and beautiful along the way oh the stock scared me he came flying by making little grunting noises I couldn't figure out what it was why I was okay what was that that I was saying about obsidian you know anything okay so they did get some obsidian at least imported over the hills to here I can't say that that is a tool but uh we're about twenty miles from any natural deposits of obsidian so it just doesn't wash here this is a piece of something or a piece of a piece that became something okay so we can look for obsidian but we want to leave our eyes open to every other color stone to which we already are but looking for cool shapes in it off we go guys about so so today so we got about so so light but can you see that don't you wish you had like a 12 inch viewfinder so you could see what its gonna look like later but yeah that's pretty clear get some backlight on there that's a little keeper looks pretty it's got a little opal lustre on the end give it the dip see the blue come up in that ya little bands of it in there too liking these red looks like red orange Jasper's mixed with little swirls of opal and stuff in there we dip gives you more of an idea of what it would be like polished this one feels really agate II and hard to so it's a good thing okay this one you can see there's a little agate e nodule it just has that classic look it's got that black gloss coming through mm-hmm it's got kind of a greener see through shall we give it a whack this is the only time when I do Brit step or Kerry hammer with me is what I'm doing total explore to see what's there so find the rock put it under it like when you're cutting wood and look for my protection on so here protecting this on now okay we gave it a walk it's splitting the two pieces and you see it's got the white bands all the way through it give it the dip like snowflakes are white into kind of a a gray green all of the agate there would be the other half so it would be a twin image and cool let's split no I'm just big zagging across the beach trying to grid it off and it's so freeform I'll bring you guys with you go away we've done checking everything out there this one in micro world I know if you don't have high definition going on or some high speed then that's just like fuzzy red orange rock I understand I'm launching a lot of my videos right now out of a public library parking lot because I don't have any internet at home and I'm hardly ever at home right now due to circumstances so that's what's going on so if you get a bunch of my videos and in big clumps that's what's going on that's me sitting there for four hours editing and waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting to send them out that's cool that's I'm sorry it's got little fibers going straight up and down it's like a layer I forget what that's called somebody tell me and sometimes it's all in one spot a little teeny tiny nugget of opal see the brew oh yeah when you get darker color behind it you can see the blue pop out more clear and more blue than just regular quartz that's how you can spot it almost has yellow to it also you know opal it's got that play of colors Plus this one looks like a some weird yellow inclusion buried down in it frozen water like a monster nagy here goodness morning that I think it's the bubbles it's alive that's cool you know the surface of it oh yeah and the sun's coming out for you guys good stuff do about you let's look at it closer counter like shell but also time looks like petrified wood huh what do we see do we see any organic details to it oh yeah look at that see that little branch see that that is gonna roll with us and get some I like to let my mind sit on it must give you a chance to walk around and see how much more of it you run into and it is run into stripes of it coming out of the hillside upstream then you know it's not this one rare piece tends to look more and more and more like it is so that's exciting that looked black and cool I know that there are fossilized shells within 10 miles of here and under us at some depth somewhere so see that thank you for the light I think something likes you guys oh you think yeah so I'm talking about look at that see the softer rock that would be cool to do that that acid bath on and you rode that stuff away there that's the chunk of that old bully stuff it's just really angelic see if I can get the light on it looks like a jellyfish I hope that this app picks up the color alright for you guys we'll turn in a couple of directions I think that's the best and you get a little bit of Darkness behind it with the light coming in and you can sense more it's blue and yellow and the layers of clear I'll boom the lights is coming in - that's awesome that's a big chunk beautiful okay so yes something likes you here's a cool chunk of sedimentary rock you can get the close-up on nice you've little layers those were little intricate layers of fine silt laid down by water and this is an old mud flat that's a groupie loopy mud you see that and it's got frozen in time that's a layer and then it had other layers go over it and it's kind of like you've ever made smiley face pancakes for your kids so this got poured in I'm kind of cooked by the Sun and set up like mud can set up like and they're laying over other layers came in settled over the top of it and it turned the stone so it's like a mud possible or maybe it's a lobster pretty cool huh fossilized bear poop ooh look at sitting down that there's a little layer of this agate opal look at that we must be an opal land again we've been striking on it I'm in a whole different Creek in a whole different valley and a whole different town okay I like the little impressions let me see if I can get this close up this is always on the outside of these if you can get it exposed four degrees cooler yeah there's that one another nice shiner what did I see just beyond the bucket it's doing that to me Oh little stripe of jade now that's the good stuff it's got little bins to it I believe that's California Jade see the little black dots in there it's got little bands of quartz but it's form like it should looking like it's good I'm thinking okay this one yeah now look right there that there's almost translucent carnelian uh agate II goodness oh hey that's Jimmy look at that sorry good stuff how'd I get wanna bust that into some little pieces and throw it in the polisher yes yes still not seeing anymore of anything that looks like that one piece of petrified wood that we found so far the hope start going up more and more for it oh now that that's got a nice shape feel and color to it let me get that way yes so it's like a planet nice nice flow nice flow I like that one that one captured it in there I get every way I can it a cool looking window on that one just a sedimentary bit and we have some picture frame pretty cool that looks yummy doesn't it oh okay this one's like a run to the water I like it some good-looking stuff steady my hand on the other hand here and get you the zoom in a little black inclusions and that awesome guys getting the light coming through there is just God stuff okay in your luck you go the season you look right down into the water see the stones all wet for what they are oh oh my god and and the LG see how it's growing in some spots my authority it's turning it all a tea color that'll stain everything up and you won't even be able to tell one spoon from the other look at that okay so it's stuck onto like its matrix toned but there's a layer of that California there's that nap-nap a little common opal see the little pockets at crystals in there Sam and then the banding of clear and melt and clear and milk around the edge that agate look okay I already picked this one up because I want to move that into the sunny warm light with it and show you the crystals in their crystal caverns see that those are actually both spirit tips sparkle Sparkle Sparkle nice that means that we gotta look for big old tips if how about a big old pockets that one's about that big so we want to be looking for like the whole side of it is full of little pockets ease of gems that's so awesome when it looks like I said isn't it's kind of like other stuff there's the side view awesome okay awesome Creek I may live in this Creek for a while there's the only footprints you see across the little pitter patters and me the rest is smooth not a soul out here which means that things like this and this can be sticking up I bent down to get this I looked over there if you guys want to pick up first sit here until you can get your texts in go ahead and text that twenty hundred name it might cost you $99 a call okay the viewers have weighed in they want to see the white one that is a crazy layer of that opal agate look see the bands in there let me get that wet for you don't be offended see you get the grass off there Nate the light in there now do you see the layers this is just like a sliced agate that you see there's the inside and it goes circular and beautiful I think that is just that's awesome we can sit there and slice that and slice that and slice that you know have the big crystals and then the little stripes on the outside that's going over now look at this not only is it beautiful look at that but it looks like every Edge has been knocked off and it's the right thing to make tools out of so I know what that is this is a core stone so this was a bigger piece of its Jasper it's beautiful Jasper and the Native American saw this when it was a bigger chunk and these are all big pieces have been taken off to make tools so this is a mother stone that's what I call these I have these in my collections been peeled and they tend to look like this if you can picture that way bigger and because of the they knew that every single tip that came off there see they did it for us that x 2.is were not simple people they had artistic scientific creative minds equal to us even more in tune to the natural beauty and patterns and colors you have to realize because that's all they had to find beauty in so their their expressions of our beauty came out even more in their tools like ours did when we were more utilitarian so that would not have escaped them and there's just no natural surface left on it you'll have to it's buzzing okay here's the other thing and it's beautiful look at that that made my heart this is a you can guarantee a bunch of big tips were made out of this wouldn't you love to find those laying in this Creek I never have wet oh look at that look at that it's like it's painted I hope you can see that I would watch this video when you have good vision on your ability of your interweb machined in barely talked look at the rivers and the beauty in there as awesome okay every piece of this to the same as when they were working it and taking pieces off every piece of this is gonna make something beautiful those are just endless cabochon pendants and stuff okay I'm gonna move on the Wow Wow there's some good supply stones right there all of these can be made smaller and sliced and polished and they'll just come out yeah it's the ribbon beautiful ooh this one might be a little big for me to carry out of here don't wanted to show you guys the sparkle I'll set it somewhere up on the high bank if I get determined I'll haul it out looked at you want to live in that little sparkly cave look what your view would be yeah well this one's got a weird shape to it it uh it's big it's nice and flat just triangular and it just I don't know it looks like the world's biggest Arrowhead I wonder if it's some sort of hand shovel digger thing it looks worked on every edge my mind usually doesn't try and reach that far out but this was already the stone I was watching there's this some things about it it seemed too perfect I don't know make a nice shovel head though I'm telling you she looks pretty darn balanced to me looks like a hand shovel oh yeah I'm gonna go ahead and hang on to that it's got that feel got that feel plus the the chunks of this were all big and round by the way so this is weird that it's flat and triangular and tip like that going real far from this spot right now because you don't seem to assume that the whole Creek is loaded up with good stuff it might just be falling right out of the bank here so I'm giving myself a good look around I want one of those Jasper Spears they made before it gets broken before it gets rounded down and destroyed and turned in the sand everything that you leave in this Creek eventually unless it gets pulled out by somebody is going to be ground up smashed up every time the water moves everything that's here has a chance of becoming sand and literally it will get washed out to wherever little spot is for it and it will become lost
