welcome Ryan to the Alsace region look at that the degree earned this wonderful castle of the openings book it's beautiful we overlook the valley it's only fifteen twenty nine twenty minutes drive from satmari plenty of things to do around South Maui last year we explored some wine region as to actually we still along the Rhine here in the wine area but we're gonna go inside visit visit this castle it's gotta be nice and cool during this hot weather is gonna be perfect okay Brian let's go and have a look [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] thus finishing the visits of this beautiful castle made of beautiful pink sandstone you're overlooking the valley now and I think it's time to look at some rocks back down in sattva hey so we should go well hello here we are again in Santa human 2019 a wonderful place in the Vosges mountains in France with a great historic past and let's let me write to us the country where you see a brunette Dusen messy so dirty we're going to switch back to english for our viewer absolutely and so i I know you have fantastic things so thank you very much that you want to show us I stance as you probably know I have two places the same as I had in the past but this time I move it from the entry to here which is more safe and I have a door I can lock it and I can go back and forth that helps me to feel better and I have a second place where I have a special pieces for a special people that we will see after first view to my regular place where everybody can meet me and in case they are interested for something as special then go with me to the second place that we will see later that's right Thank You Johnny it's something that I will like to show you because it's from France ah okay and it's the new fine made in the year to eighteen and until now they don't finish to clean up from proper those wonderful fluorides from France from place never minded before giving this material so this place to fool the cruiser in mind oh that's it's applause palos the paper in which was well known trapped in the past yes but those yellow ones with course some with but I too like for example this one where you can see well the bar I know that voice works yes so this material never comes out before because the for the clothes L it's a very small mind with a not big production in the past okay and local dealers they work it hard they came out came inside the mine they found a very nice file on and they work it well as you can see it's a shape they found those wonderful fluorite with the sole rich yellow this is one of the consequences of the price of the minerals because then the people want to look for they search for and they found things but this this is the amazing color and yes with the drusy quartz on top of it it's it's fantastic yeah let's show that label too okay to the camera there we go we can get the full location and here I'll give you the label bar thank you this particular piece my goodness and there's gosh there's essentially no damaged there's a couple little corners where maybe there's some natural cleavage or something in the pocket but I'm sure the miners must have been just elated when they found this material they are so happy that you can't imagine that's the pleasure the pleasure to discover something by yourself that no one so before I'm sure they were the first person in the wall to see the material fine it was before he was underground and then take it off this is the kind of things that makes you believe in God yes when you find something like this by the miracles later all right well this is wonderful material this is another example for it with coarse holding my change the words coding are and more perfect Wow anybody should be really pleased to have a piece like this absolutely yeah I like the way the the drusy quartz is basically covering most of the crystals but you can still really see especially on this large front crystal the beautiful color so get a description absolutely fantastic so as we say they have you know good few things here but the real special ones are in another place and now we will go if you want to our place to see some miracle some new fine and some Placid alright that sounds wonderful let's go let's go and here we have the secret hideaway Thank You Jerry please please come in here I have a kind of show room but it's everything not display it in showcases but it's prepared for special customers to have with day you know a talk and speak about the collections and excuse about the pieces let me show you what I want to show you special in this box here for example you can see one good example of what was the main novelty no doubts in the show the Ranade Knights from the recent finds in Morocco my goodness these are huge crystals why they found this and why during the last year's they didn't the reason is that someone very smart that the banana Knights Sholapur also down because in the mine in the past when they mine at the banana nights they found vanity nights in the deep in the deep part of the mine until 90 meters deep so someone dug a 19 meters deep for four years until finally he discovered that he were right and he found this unbelievable pocket with crystals of vanillin 18 4 5 centimeter side wow this is absolutely amazing I mean we've seen vanadium from from Morocco Laden area for many years a lot of them but these are just the size of these is absolutely fantastic yes this is this is quite quite a piece I mean this crystal over here the complexity with all over over growths and animated exhibit and you even have yes oh yes yes there you go fantastic Wow and as it happens in those cases they discovered that deeper they you can find banoffee nights and they work deep now it's a lot of people that are digging that deep and they found other kind of a novena it's not this crazy vanillite with all crystals moving around oh my goodness gracious oh the complexity of this crystal is or of this specimen I should say is is absolutely amazing this is I mean that's nice but here we have the color is different yes and the construction it's it's almost like Sagrada Familia in Barcelona in red in red absolutely yes it's a construction and to give you some more detailed technical explanations those who were minded in deeply yes but in a place named at kudiye kudiye kudiye and those upper in may the larger ones appear in january/february this is on May and in another place named at Mohammed in Mohammed Dean it's all the same area it's all just a local name from the local area but they they doesn't come from the same place that the larger ones what it means it means that in the future if they continue digging deep in all the militant areas maybe they will find other thing more things you like for example and this are they still mining by hand mostly just so long tunnels barely as high as the people not industry not ingenuity this is all the way hem all arches are no type is an out yeah that's why he's like this so fragile can comes out without damage yeah that's yeah technology completely broken it would be a lot of pieces this big correct yeah but as I said before take this take an example of what cool happens so that's a game different gosh this is like a plate yeah but it's it's a single crystalline is a poly synthetic growing single Chris right and both sides are Super Lustrous yes but I really love on the flat side where it's it's almost like the skin of an alligator yeah the way it's coming out in beautiful color and luster Wow boy I'm so you must have been happy when they found these probably will get golden age for banana nights in Morocco because it's not only that they found super pieces like that but they found many different styles digging in a place in the second level on the file on where they never minded before and who knows what will comes out on that on that part of the five ones of me blobbin so so me Bladon has multiple veins fee long as there's a vein of minerals yes and at different levels of course mostly - they always work it on the first one because as they did artisanal as you say they can go deep because they raise the life yeah you know this is found about 19 metres deep or the larger ones which is very risky for the healthy of the person well they can have collapses a huge rain oh of course everything with the guy inside and weed without time not to go out or make a tunnel to go out by 90 meters that's very deep one doesn't think of huge range in Morocco but I don't care none time time to time yeah wow this is pretty nice I really thank you so much for sharing that with us that's why we can call them meet the real main novelty in Sumeria means show 2019 but in summary they are also classics classics are things like this this is from a private collection of a French collector Philippe Morel on a really classic French piece that I'll let you this explain because you will do it much better than me well I'm not sure I'll do it better than I the setter right on the on the drusy quartz is absolutely flat fantastic but this is their the the the fame the more famous areas it's re Islam you and then massage is the other that's the other place where they found we so on that on the when we came here we saw a whole large very large Sid right and we walked but the quality is different it's very different material and material is also known for some amazing bear rights to erect with nice donation and spotlights and sis fell right as well the trial rights Bora nice and it's very funny place because it's a call group of veins of a coal for some reason in the contact on those all veins of coal and the open area around the best and nicest pieces from many different pieces or from friends comes out and this is one of antique one from the times when that mine worker well the composition and the contrast it makes this a fantastic piece yeah I can understand talking about classics I still have another classic that I can show it to you it's from the same collection the Philip modelin collection and is a piece that I am sure you will appreciate you like minerals you like pieces not so common this is a very statics disclosure I disclosed right it is from a commoner cask yes very excellent Wow and again I mean I I I hate using the same words again but the luster on this disclose it--and the size of the crystals not to mention this absolutely fantastic arrangement yes it just looks like a tree the calcite overgrowth no that much which is a miracle because you know the conditions of work in burkas and many pieces as would say be or even artisanal brakes because it's a very delicate very Tyrael at the can breaks very easily so this is an older piece absolutely proximately when this we can take that label from philly more alone we will know when he bout it he about it in 2014 so about recently to me Sienna being to another collector and we can follow easily the the start of the sale of this piece but probably on the 80s so this is something else that many collectors or young collectors don't appreciate ya there's the genealogy the history behind the piece who has owned it what collection it has gone through and it's always you must keep all the labels all time to time a miracle happens okay and I got the miracle in this show I am so happy because I will probably keep the miracle for myself and let me show you the miracle all right please come forward to this so the miracle is one of the prototypes minute in the beginning of the year in the buas area in two different mines buisness and Heidemann okay this is from height Amman and look that oh my is not a miracle gosh and you can see right through it yeah just with the daylight not the sunlight yeah yeah just a daylight because it's thin as you can see and the matrix is is other silver Manoj will analyze this it's maybe scooted right maybe it's Ramius beside maybe it's a fluoride I don't know yet but I will know it because I will do analysis of that and if we use the torch and we'll light behind okay then it will be as Brian said the miracle of the hell so you can feel it oh it just lights up like a Christmas tree a red fire different fishes fantastic is the aerial Christmas tree yeah yes and it's even shaped a little bit like a Christmas tree oh yes so that's amazing it is not a miracle I think you know this yes this absolutely it has to be a miracle so but I suspect this is not going anywhere in the Georgie fabric collection go like France Portugal Morocco and Spain so that's four that's more oh boy yeah well thank you so much for sharing that and I'm glad you you're not letting me hold it I would be so afraid to have problem control if I break it I will lose myself a piece for my collection here you go not the money thing is there a personal pleasure to have this in my collection and enjoy it and yes I will enjoy it absolutely Wow thank you so much for sharing this with us we really appreciate it I have to see you before I will see you in Tucson walking around searching for that yeah but I think you're a nice articles for go Lorena minotaurs yes thank you for that yes thank you for your job helping to improve the mineralogy in France and in use thank you so much [Music] amazing both of you came mining ventures in this sunny town of summary with their strapping young lads from UK how are you Eric I'm doing just fine yeah it's absolutely wonderful to see you again likewise it's so gorgeous out here I'm so thrilled yes and I see you're holding some really amazing material there will you please tell us all about it new Purple Haze pocket fresh out from the mine extracted merely three weeks ago Wow new finds so this is amazing because normally your finds have been green and turned purple when you expose them to sunlight or to other UV sources but this is already purple just standing here that's right but it even gets more amazing if you take it out towards the Sun all right well we got out slowly turtle we are - what's the sunlight wow it's opening up like a fine wine it does amazing large twin crystals with nice aragonite fools on course on course yeah so I see penetration twins are one of the shall we say hallmarks of the of your mind your namesake mine so this is absolutely amazing to see this and I hadn't seen them with the aragonite before I've seen with the quartz but this is pretty spectacular you have to admit so how large was this pocket it's only a small pocket and we were able to extract the whole pocket and it's always different with the cavities most of them are collapsed so most of the fines you will be making are not very pretty so a lot of it it's the amount of really beautiful specimens you extract it's minimal is gonna be limited yeah we would hope that they find a beautiful new home and be in addition to someone that it loves fluorides loves minerals and it is exciting that a new mind the diana maria mine is able to produce not only green fluorides that we now found purple fluorides and who knows maybe in the future there will be upper colors as well we are hoping so yes so Diana I noticed it besides that this Purple Haze pocket you're you're wearing an absolutely beautiful necklace and it looks to me like it's one of the green fluorides indeed it is so what I tried to do is I thought some of those little twin gems are so so translucent so Jamie I thought would it be able to would I be able to cut them so I had a few tries and that's what came out so I designed the necklace and I developed the cut and I find they are wearing quite well but let's go inside I have a few other clothes that I'm like to show you I look forward to seeing them so not only did I think that it would be great to cut the fluorides but I also thought it would be nice to leave them actually natural and produce a few little pendants with them so I left a Twins natural and just put a little server faceting on them and leave them as a boho style necklace which I thought is affordable and I think taps right into the market of young collectors or people that are interested in the alternate use of minerals well then what's really nice I think about this is that you keep all the natural form and and since these stones are just Jemmy to begin with it's a perfect combination and they daylight for us as well so when you go out you're wearing it outside they will turn purple or blue in the daylight Khorasan so it is a really nice accessory yeah that's a really good idea you have there I really like those yes might have to pick one up for kyoko even oh I'm sure she would love one so matching two dependents of course I designed a few different cuts for earrings as well so at the moment I just had to trillions as earring set but and rounds as necklaces but I'm planning hopefully for the future maybe even in Tucson to have a launch of her actually set collection so you have matching pendants and earrings so that collectors wives that always maybe feel that they are shortcoming when their husbands purchased some nice specimens can now add to their collection so they have the specimen to wear Eric why don't we go back to the theater and go and look at some of the fantastic specimens that crystallographic is brought and you can continue with it okay that sounds like a fantastic idea let's do all right let's go all right wonderful to see you again back in hot samory yes this year is definitely going to be a smoker shall we say 40 degrees today oh my gosh I can't wait let me tell you especially with your hangover you were going for it a little bit shall we say for summary we bring you know the summary shows a very different than the the things we had normally put out of the American shows you know we have a strange mix here the French have a taste of beautiful display minerals not so expensive and then but we're right on the border with Germany so the Germans come over and they like to buy the old classics you know the German grays and silver minerals so you know this importance have a real mix here of oak classics new display things and you know we'll go through the cabinets and you can see that a real mix of minerals trying to please everyone we were in the in Freiburg a few weeks ago for the the opening of the new Freiberg exhibition and they had just found this in that it's ended from a new mine but if you don't know it's a new mine in Germany a new mine in all German a new mine an old Germany up in Saxony and it's a fluorite mine has been working a few years and has produced very few specimens these are my rights on yeah and pretty neat I like the way they're peppered all over the the cubes the fluorite cubes and I'm not gonna try and read the label but yeah that's see yeah that's where it's from fluorite with chalcopyrite I can read that bit [Laughter] had it Anita flag Bachmann Stein need of slag Bernstein district that's kuvira your district saxony yeah really so this is nice because it's something new from germany which is not something we see all the time well and you know and it's it's not the gray you know that matches the weather in germany most of the time so i think this is actually quite nice and some fairly transparent you know as well well I you know I wouldn't complain one bit if I had a piece like this in my collection you know this is not the most beautiful specimen but it's from Black Forest and how often do you see nice black forest floor oh right now this is this is a really nice one you got this little dusting of quartz yes absolutely Weber Clara all from the Clara mine yeah yeah yeah no I've actually been there and you're right usually you don't get such spectacular pieces from there this is the aesthetics of this piece are quite nice yeah and if you hold it up and Boeing can probably get the zoning inside this one yeah yeah he's owned that's right yeah hold it still Eric I know you've got the shakes but I've got to rotate it a little bit though so that we can see some of the other the the drusy quartz and everything with this Wow so I'm assuming that this must have been a pretty spectacular pocket the people must have been thrilled when they ran into this yeah yeah all right very nice as I love the old classic how am I not something you see you know usually we get one every two or three years and lovely lovely old labels dating from the late 1800s it's a pink apostolate from the famous andreasberg silver mines in the heart of our case well I was looking at that and I was saying well if I didn't know any better I'd say this is an Indian specimen you know from the Deccan Traps but wow that is really nice sure is lustrous that's for sure shining everywhere the crystal shapes are very nice yes really good shape for a specimen of a vengeance that's a rarity you know this isn't the biggest specimen but it's just beautiful oh my god yeah look at the size of those crystals they're almost Holford it's a very complex and yeah I just love the little color variation right on determinations it was so yeah the biggest pocket and these are very tough to get but that's just a beautiful little miniature it absolutely is and you're right the dusting on the termination really adds quite a bit to the piece it's something is very rare we've actually got pyro more fight growing on fluorite crystals oh it's on fluoride it for yeah you're right and actually it's not from the same line that's from shy oh yeah yeah yeah it's much rarer than of the forest ones but so that combination is some yeah that's a little bit of a north and west of worldly fire is located yep yeah that's and it's like a nice ring around the the piece that really the contrast between the fluorite sand the fire more fights makes for a really excellent piece assist us hey looks like it's a silver metal rolling there we go surprised native silver but their actual crystals of silver so it's not the usual wires it's a much rarer yeah Wow I haven't seen the receipts like this that's absolutely fantastic from cones burg yes that's fantastic yeah first I was wondering which silver mineral this is but this is just native silver which really adds yeah it's very very large well formed crystals of silver absolutely fantastic yeah I'm from the same mind is one of my favorite little specimens a sir that little silver scorpion oh yes there you go the tail over here and the two claws so this is much more of the the traditional wires yeah you expect to see from this mine it's a piece we owned many years ago we just bought it back as part of the collection an eyeful wulfenite windowpane just sat up there March I did it assumed korolev it lovely combination okay is this a superb piece yes note submit yeah that windowpane is actually fantastic and from such a classic locality and how old do you think this piece is about probably from the 70s or 80s would be my guess okay absolutely pristine though it's a it's a lovely thing one of the real similarities from the the early 80s to know for years people have been calling these Cooper Adam i'ts Cooper oh I Hannah might hopefully they're not Martin Steve go from Bratislava and Malcolm safe word for Melbourne spent about a year doing work on all that the range of supposed Cooper adamite some tsumeb and they actually presented it at the tsumeb forum this year in Tucson they did a whole paper on it and it turns out that 95% of things from tsumeb that we've all labeled Cooper adamite in the past are actually zinc in the liver night and it's a very clear it's a very yeah so this is a very fine fan of zinc in the liver like the yellows very law for my rights and together it's a beautiful display special to get those beautiful fans together the liver night is an arsenic mineral of course it's an arsenic yeah that's absolutely amazing but it's not Cooper either might yeah you know Livernois know it had me fooled of course yeah that's let's have upstairs all right what we have well as I explained downstairs part of the problem it's a memory for us is you know we have one of the world's most varied and large inventories of classic minerals from all over the world and you know we could fill the whole theater ourselves and be all limited of space so you know fortunately we were able to have this little private room up here on the stage and you know everything's nicely organized so people all these all these boxes are full of nice classic specimens so you know we get a lot of people coming up and they're you know they come and come have a look through our boxes up here all these boxes are full of fabulous fabulous things we bring over to bring over six thousand specimens to the show six thousand six thousand quality specimens we bring to the show you have your own ship that comes across our own truck yeah it's crazy it's ER oh you go through the channel now alright but faster much much better that we're gonna start with a couple of new finds this is we bought a lovely pocket of a born a night from a new find in Bolivia Oh in Bolivia weeks ago and the quality is just because we oh my goodness the luster and shine on this is just wonderful totally silver normally these things are much much duller yeah in appearance I mean the cogwheels are fantastic but normally you just don't get this kind of luster on them and even even all the way inside here with all the quartzes there's additional Borna Knights and in very fine shape yeah nicely but boy they're going on it I said wonderful combination peas very rare to get it with the quartz oh yes yes that's absolutely fantastic this is something I was proud of just a lovely little display floor I shall say listen oh where is this one from it's a bits proving one its person is once allah from one sawatya which is very famous for its superb lustrous pyrites but they have some other very nice things as well yeah this is looks like complex like almost octahedral but these look like modified cubes that are very stacked on top of each other yeah there's a color zoning within them much deeper purple on the inside and very pale on the outside and I like this kind of calcite too because it doesn't take away it actually really makes a nice background of the other crystals all right did this came to us a couple of weeks ago and this is just a lovely little jewel of a voted crow site from in charge shining yes from South Africa's cut a great luster the aesthetics are amazing in some of these is going to he'd roll crystals are really large and absolutely Jemmy as well all right very fortunate to have gotten this piece Wow yeah this will be a very lucky collector who who ends up with with this particular one will take these downstairs just so you can see the difference and see what they look like come in the artificial light and then out into the sunlight okay found some things that are really quite exceptional alright we'd like to share them with everyone and family all right let's go so here we are back on the main floor and I'm going to show you two things first we're gonna show this this this is wonderful it shows you just how good these floors can get and in the diannemurray remind all the best specimens come from very small cavities because they will thaw it's a well preserved there's no water flow and typically the cavities were awful of clay and when they're full of clay the fluorite crystals are really well preserved protection cover effectively yeah and you know once every five or six months you know we'll hit a nice small pocket of something and this latest pocket was really something extraordinary these gem twins are some of the nicest we've ever seen oh yeah yeah this is a much more common occurrence where you have this sort of frosting within the crystals but yeah these twins are just I mean it's like they're Jemmy through and through yeah that commanding gem the color is intense you can already see even with this light I think just the natural sunlight sneaking in from outside is you can already see some shades of blue coming out of them and the good thing is in the under LEDs and the cabinet's they really that deep emerald green assist okay yeah and if you walk out now to the sunlight you can see slow you can see the change alright they almost explode yeah and what would do as we walk out we'll do this one as well this is some you've already filmed some of these out of the the tent yeah this is the this was the lightest one from the Purple Haze occasion small these are from the northern flats Indiana Maria and this is from the southern flats all right and they're only about 10 meters apart but Green apart so you know if you walk out with them you can start seeing the color change alright you know you start to see the fluorescence oh yeah here comes older the green pocket material and these the Purple Haze ones just get more and more intense yeah as you come outside as far as I can go yeah okay let me go over here so you can get a little bit better angle but I mean this is every collectors dream you have and you have one of these next to it they wouldn't say these ten meters apart in a mine in a mine just unbelievable what nature is able to make for us and I guess this is the the aragonite yeah we thought it was a regular but upon analysis it's actually calcite it is counselling okay yeah Deanna was mentioning that she thought it was aragonite originally and of course without analyzing you can't really tell you did x-ray analysis no dicen Wow gosh it's this purple purple haze that's absolutely a fantastic name and then in this case the the less clear ones the ones with the frosting in the crystals really adds to the special ReadySet softer dancer jimmy ones yeah Wow so Eric you you know one thing we're gonna have to do is is pop this review later on this afternoon it's the only cure for your hangover and if you're doing what's hot and it's a Marie all day but it's gonna be perfectly personal size you're gonna need this by the end this afternoon's absolutely amazing was that a five liter bottle or just your size yes oh my goodness no it's three liters yeah but I think that'll do just fine and it's always a big pleasure to make French people drink German wine yes spike Bergen job but see they still use the French name yeah the burgundy Burgundy so it's almost burgundy wine so it was good fun it's great dancing [Music] so I see then as usual your display cases are filled with wonderful treasures and please share with us some of your favorite pieces something new I got this right here okay it's a beautiful rose quartz oh my goodness like like a halo type right right on this quartz a little bit of feldspar matrix underneath it's like the combination the microcline this smoky was a little drusy cover on top and then a perfect collar of rose quartz so I'm assuming this is a Brazilian piece yes a Brazil Minas Gerais you can see that's what questions parent so there's only a couple localities in Brazil that actually produced these and I mean the the only other one I've seen that looks as good as this is in the Smithsonian Museum that's a magnificent yeah this one is big oh so quite superb I must admit so yeah that was just a handful of little pieces so in this case that looks like go Bobo's my area exactly and you can see that as a dolomite like the small I was wondering and on top calcite excellent so we're looking at a considerable size piece here normally we see nice color in the smaller ones but a big one like that is that's pretty amazing yes it's also one of the recent things I got you know the only find a few pieces every year it was one of the finest I ever got actually yes always have a few pieces like secret pieces here in the box yeah looking forward to seeing knows you've probably heard that was a recent find of proof sites in Morocco oh yes you can get that well this is a really perfectly Jemmy good Jemmy red color extremely bright and then we're looking at about two and a half maybe three centimetres you start up a really deep deep red color and almost looks like it could be a ruby other than the shape yeah exactly Oh twin tamagotchi from Nepal Himalayan mountains Nepal okay and I just love the aesthetics and the balance right beautiful you still couldn't be better you know it's just whose Nepalese courses are just totally totally clear it's like you're looking through a perfectly made I stir and then to have that and it's really suggested as the French would say I got that very similar yeah yeah so different color they like that they have like a yellowish color under the car yeah this is an absolutely colorless and transparent through and through it's also a recent find from Mary Lani in Tanzania it's an appetite you've seen a few larger pieces are around here the shrine this is the nicest for quality I've seen let me get the light here to so you can see some of the color it's a very it's a loo you're finding apatite crystals of the sizes that this even this one is already large it's nice color and termination is fine too mm-hmm this one I love this is really cool and no it's very hard to get the green color on a video or on a photo and the digital this is South African right it's from them maybe and it really has I hope you can catch it is like emerald green and these fluorescent immensely from I didn't try it but possible yeah I've seen some before and it had really nice more essence a tiny little awkward with it and mica yeah almost a little show yeah I love this one very fine aesthetics as well by having multiple species on the same piece and then the large this I'm some tiny ashore illegals do you see that on the under termination oh yes absolutely yeah so Marcus thank you thank you actually really appreciate the treasures that you thank you you bring to the world alright thank you [Music] to see you again I can see right away you've got a new fine to show us but you have a whole bunch of other specimens yes we want to start with really great exists from the Austrian Alps this is fantastic my sister from Carinthia okay Marge aced the second best fight of a mastaba to come from Carinthia receptor this receptor that was the famous friend find from decades with dargon Miller and these have lighter color but they're really exceptional for the for multiple chapters and every crystal has its own sceptre and I do especially like this scepter here on top with two heads doesn't go all the way around on this one yeah wow that's it's a fantastic game assist space tomorrow yes big size can you tell us a little bit about the this new find of Vivian eyes yeah I was very surprised and when this came out for the first time these webinars from OSHA panini alpha County Romania came out in in January okay that this Roger point is a very big open pit mining so it's a car for mine it's a proper man yeah it's the second largest copper mine in Europe I was told to they are mining on 80 levels there so it's really deep mine and to hit this zone first in January and then the pieces were all put aside and actually the biggest pocket the hit end of February beginning of March where these huge crystals so it just missed Tucson admits Tucson yeah but your money doesn't go after this right as it is so these were found on on lower levels or higher up they come back to this zone every couple of weeks because we are going around the mining process and in March they hit this fantastic pocket take biggest crystals from this pocket or 18 centimeter three centimeter single crystals that's incredible about five centimeter wide and two centimeters 16 18 centimeters is about seven inches for American over seven inches that's absolutely amazing everybody's truly competing with other world-class for example that the Bolivian I think color in the famous Bolivia if not better in some respects for the sheer size also for the color they're a bit different I discussed with some friends the Bolivian have a bit more bluish you this have between issue but look at the clarity the last the color so this is you can see through them practically every one of them and it's as you said the luster they're shiny they're really generous yeah that's that's superb I tell you of the future and I think among the world-class fantastic be superb aesthetics I like the way how it formed on these two pieces of matrix and then the matrix in this pocket was kind of breaks here many many little rocks and crystals formed there adds to the aesthetics of the piece to have some of the matrix attached to it is indeed and this is the or that they're mining actually then this is the rock this director this is some iron content and some copper content even some gold content in there because you have to understand this locality is just six kilometers away from the famous Russian Montana the best you really in gold yes just six kilometres in between these two localities so there is a fairly high gold content in the rock here 13 grams per tonne 13 that's very valuable it's worth mining it and they're doing also some gold mining in some areas of this mine it's a real treasure mine this is a little cutie this is my favorite for aesthetics from this find it's a doubly terminated crystal on to abstract response - yeah if a little part of matrix irritation is absolutely flawless on the smell that we terminated koalas flawlessly and even the upper ones are also flawless so see the clarity actually the terminus isn't that fantastic my gosh you know I never cease to be amazed I mean I've seen a lot of really beautiful things in the in your stand especially and a few others but when you see something like this you can't help but be this comes from a pro model it's you plus crystal lecture this is Michael out you see it's orange and orange I mean most of the time we see this blue this is different ability at North Area exit the guy would not tell me the accurate totality now it's still secret it's some kind of current Barrow miners want to keep it secretly very small fine so the amount of specimens from this pocket are around 30 to 40 piece okay and half of these but just broken parts so we are talking about the total number of about 20 collect the great specimens and they're all this red mixed with the orange but not everyone like transparent like this no that one is really clear I think the red comes manganese the orange probably from iron ore and if you take a careful look you see even some little needles included oh just come on for you / you claim we also see this in the Alps in the open deposits is combination also excellent yeah so the biggest crystals were about four centimeter from this part right but now there's a clear this is a really remarkable one this is a Swiss piece right yes this coming from from to a mountain okay actually a very small area in canton of graubünden okay this in eastern switzerland it's not count on your which are more famous yes is a very it's just one mountain well defined it's not really air it's just one person singing only the north face of this man office and this is interesting about these things the north face is an intimate rust so when the Stratus gets the chance to find the pocket and open it you have very good chance to take them out in perfect condition there before and it's completely closed their nose it was closed for thousands of years in the permafrost when the open you get this fantastic elastic and the color is very deep as well you know what the jokey quartz is really very very smoky the radiation in unique to this volatility because the the smoky quartz is exceptionally tired we had this combination just with you this is a fantastic Destin's yeah courts yeah the testings are very good tapered distinct striations you see but this is huge for testing huge have some Swiss stylist told me this is the biggest they've ever seen on matrix okay yeah they no bigger than single for floating is about 30 centimeters okay tall but this is about 5 inches almost 15 it's the biggest and best I've ever seen in matrix and I like the additional crystals baby weight so total to bloat crystals in the back crystals everywhere in the display swell from all sides actually is really rotating the base oh yeah that would look really really nice if you did that yeah a wonderful spectacle when we come to see your pieces [Music] good morning Molly and Karen it's good morning never see you guys again good to see you here is someone from Hawaii I see this and I say you have a coral to show us oh yes it looks a little bit similar it's a halide from Turin Jia from black to older honey where you put it the art consists only salt crystals okay with a little bit into grown gypsum crystals here you see yeah I'm there very nicely shaped crystals and the structure of this thing is absolutely amazing yeah it really is arborescent and I like the coloration to the tints on the edges with crystals and really adds quite a bit to it so how old do you think this it's from the 1950s from the nine yes I'm an old miner he sort some good specimens and we had the opportunity to buy some of them yeah we have a showcase filled with some excellent gypsum wires rams horns the ram's horn yes from a new font from Greece from 2017 we had the opportunity to buy a dozen of the best specimens unfortunetely was a very small pocket the gypsum is partially accompanied by puff balls of scoffs kite okay but this specimen they are not associated with this with the stuff Samara yes an amazing piece highly luster sparkling I'm so and and it's like multiple it's like an older deer with many others in it not just a traditional ram's horn that we've seen in many situations before it's life or death right that's the more traditional shape you would expect to find okay here in this showcase we have a mix of English classics and Timnath classics and in the center you see a very very nice LaRocca night from will garland and Cornwall the color is colors and senses yeah well I'd much rather have this beautiful color than a larger not so colorful crystal yeah yes you see here there's another one with even larger crystals mm-hmm but not that the comes out not as intense that's correct yeah hold it no this is absolutely a fantastic acquisition you know this yeah these light rock a nights I mean everybody hears about them but rarely do you actually get to see a nice one much less hold it yes may I show you a Smith tonight that are we acquired recently it is very very big pinkish Christmas very sharp okay so this is a assume a piece yes these are centimeter or size crystals the wrongs are extremely well formed very lustrous and the background with the matrix really makes the aesthetics of this piece fantastic yeah so yeah that's uh that's a pretty important piece I would say what I would also like to show you Eric is a very very nice minute ID all right very special great specimen that is coming from the potosi mine in Mexico yes yes well it looks like you have the whole geode there practically so almost yeah tractors of the color crystals yeah this is great very very fine yeah the aesthetics again I mean every piece you folks have has wonderful aesthetics and the good you know scientific and technical merit to it as well so it's it's really an absolute pleasure to be able to see these minerals and and to hold them here we have a near cassiterite wrung from the penguin barrel mine so it's traditionally on the mica matrix yes which is very characteristic of this mine and accompany it with the Russian iris yes yes the barrels are clear in this particular case I've seen some mild blue ones as well from this locality but not with a caseta right that looks as impressive as this particular piece what you also have has a great speciality this year is a variety of forks in a very very high quality so these are Spanish fluorides from the Asturias region I suspect yes yes and there they're stocked but the so it's a very complex queues it's almost like it's a multitude of cubes forming a larger cube of itself and then with the quartz background or the courts matrix on it the contrast is absolutely amazing in this color this it's a really really fine purple color absolutely yeah good to see you again happy to to be in San Murray with the sunny weather very sunny maybe a little bit too hot you know we don't blame when it rains we are not grading because it is we have too many too much too much Sun okay yes - wonderful specimen incredible okay do we receive one just two times before yes and I want to show you okay if you need it yes absolutely she looks like a fish you can see the the tail of the fish revelation it's incredible this is absolutely the best Milpitas piece that I have ever seen just the size of the azurite crystals and the machine on the malachite and look at the termination of zu questions yes this is right up in here every one of these crystals is fully terminated my goodness gracious when I saw that piece the guy said me I have a surprise for you when I saw that we could that we we we did we were crazy about that you didn't have a heart attack no no I other strong strong heart okay very Gail I'm so glad because my goodness it's just absolute perfection thank you hi I can't believe this and Regina is that she comes perfectly she comes without was not brag doing yeah there's no damages but this is yeah getting this out without causing any problems is quite a feat I must admit there's this blue I feel them EPS blue is absolutely amazes in you suppose if they were not electing you like this yeah this is absolutely electric well I tell you what this is definitely the best museum-quality I'm sure but for me it's the best meteos piece I've ever seen I so many many like that no she's in as well their plate right with formulat by Jason yeah the unusual shape and everything adds to this piece and yeah I have one of the piece incredible with the twin twin cords war with imitate Inner Mongolia oh it's a Mongolian piece I wanted to see the yes yes absolutely and I saw before some Japan blue twins but without matrix okay yes loader loader Road oh no and and the the twin is right at the end reading to the aesthetics it's like we put there yeah you can look in back yeah it's one one crystal mm-hmm in back of the twin right right and every single part of this is absolutely amazing and you can feel that it's becoming accept yes yeah yes well this is another amazing piece so inner Inner Mongolia thank you so much nice to meet you it's wonderful to have a chance to see some of the beautiful specimens that you have prepared and for the public here so I will turn over to you and let you guide us and show us some wonderful things yeah thank you and I would like to thank my colleague which is escapement hide somewhere yes because Alessandro Paladini is the one taking care of this part of the project for our company okay so he is the one running the shows and which likes to deal with minerals and so on on the side of the technical preparation is okay lab and I like much more to go in the field and collect and oh your your preparation labs are quite well-known throughout the world and many people send you fantastic pieces and they come out even much better when when they thank you actually what we do is trying to find the potential of each piece trying to bring the piece to the best possible appearance leaving it natural right and not touching the nature of the piece what makes this big pieces special is the level of the color of the two sections we and in association with call to marine and so on is aquamarine and the top is morganite yeah exactly exactly there is an evolution in the geochemical fluids for which the crystals fall I see yes it is also a little bit each day and it Xing produce of this sculpture linger on the surface of motives we will see something similar later with fluoride nomina is typical of seven different minerals for this pro light from Colombia I find is exceptional and you know that I am a to marine lover this may be is not such an interesting piece on the aesthetic point of view but I really like it I show you something interesting the piece is displayed like this because it has a nice termination sharp and those are the piece born like this and this actually is a simple piece which form the matrix and there are two crystals terminated at the naaru gospel and this is from production a collection this piece break in the pocket naturally because of natural tensions and the pocket collapse phenomena which are described in the study of pegmatite and after the break and the break break together one termination here another termination here down the pocket and it grows at the until agos ball with totally different colors and today we have this very strange and unusual shape and it's lovely object this is celestite from madagascar the sequani sequani yes the famous image the famous location actually we are doing nothing special but we are there at the location worked in collaboration with some miners and there are some pictures here in which you see the front of this commission i don't know what you can see but there is an older at the front of this commission the right fine found right in this moment a cavity sillas that cavity they went into they so the cavity and they collected the cavity please rock this rock is here is right exactly the same and here is an example of what happening in the lab but the first work is to open the pocket to expose the crystal and the third step is to clean perfectly trim perfectly the piece is trying to expose as better as we can the crystals and we move from the surface of the cavity all the rock in order to expose celestite in all direction and they come out a very lovely pieces so all that's left is basically the inside the actual but not not matrix of only the celestite leaving the the mother Rock yeah yeah yeah actually it depends from what do you want to achieve but in any case during this process when you find a big cavity at the end we try always to locate the heart on the cavity so imparting which the best crystals are and trim out of this part the rest is commercial stuff and it is a very lovely process and we spoke before about some Pakistani by coral barrel this one used so there is of special poly because of quality because of the transparency but these are less transparent but anyway lovely they come in a different pocket same phenomena different pocket but what the difference here we had the aqua marina with morganite and now we have morganite with our body yeah and it's on the matrix and this is yes oh my goodness oh yeah this is very nice it's nice when you get the alibi with it as well yeah and and this is a doublet of military stuff oh my goodness and this is etching a bottom near this and you can see that aquamarine overgrowth on both sides yes and a morganite in the center in the center and then some complexity on the track as well it is detached naturally touching pocket of recrystallized so it was fruit in the pocket so wonder this is just an example of how to bury varieties can combine in different growth sequence yes I would like to show this demented piece we have a project which now is running since 6 month only and on the demantoid mine in Madagascar and together with a us partner which name the company is a prosperity of the mining company ok based in the United States in New Jersey actually we are we went on mining this deposit which was discovered in 2009 in Madagascar and after longer processes longer problems big problems and so on typical of Madagascar actually became available for making a proper mining activity and this is an example of the best pieces we are collecting now this is very fortunately I can tell you that 99% of the production is broken down maker general for the workers exactly and actually for the company and indeed we are presenting in United States we were in Las Vegas we were in Hong Kong recently offering a cut stones and it was a quite a successful so the specimen collectors are always competing with the jewelry and the Jazz dealers yes in many cases even though it's a beautiful specimen the gem industry can provide a much bigger return exactly for the company a bigger market so at the end I say making some fun that selling gemstones is like selling potatoes when you have the correct price the market price you can sell an infinite quantity I philosophy Simmons the market is limited you have no notion trading the best stuff all the stuff which actually the market is able to absorb and the market is able to absolve the stuff little by little if you don't make a proper marketing and we destroy the market and it is a shame because for example this deposit is a deeper than unique in the world mm-hmm I will provide Inga for a water consider of the best lemon toy even even the matrix here is completely demantoid yeah exactly and if you look at this specimen it is completely everywhere they are delicate and it was found completely loose in mud oh yeah that's that's absolutely amazing and I want to show some of the best feature of the fluoride from this actually there are many different varieties if I am able to take out yes my flashlight the best feature of this variety of my opinion are the size of the crystal the sculpturing of the surface related to some kind of some corrosion nice influence yeah exactly and the transparency on the collar and hitting the color I don't know if in the camera now I kill the camera with this light but the depth of the color is the coral is amazing yes and in general they traditionally this crystal set they traditionally have so as very dark or so this is an overgrowth on an original crystal that I drew before exactly exactly with the several generation of in a very transparent quality the reminisce of these crystals is amazing I'll show you another example you can see here generation regeneration which is a home Boudica head room okay overgrown by cubes here and when you put the flashlight on the back if I okay there you can so show it's very dark on the originals exactly you can see that the first generation is powerful Lander the second generation with cubes is more blue is more is blue I told you this is just one of the different varieties we have in this mind but it this is one of the must occur well Federico thank you so much you really appreciate you showing us your treasures I'm sure that you are no exception I understand you have some very special specimens that you want to share with us yes there's starting with tourmaline Smythe for you yes ok so I'm going to guess that this is an Afghanistan base Afghanistan yes from from from around about maybe a year ago or maybe a little less nice color zonation and you've got the Cleveland ID and the quartz on it but the color is very intense so that's that's really nice yeah it's not easy to get the beats with with long a long elongated crystal like this with multiple color donation yeah and so the sort of pink grading into a light green darker green then this this section a little bit off color but then goes back again to a really nice green so yeah the the changing colors really make sense yeah and what is nice extras you have here that's right okay still I squat and we mind is always realized as the last on that means oh yeah the aesthetics of course this piece is really fantastic oh oh my dynasty spinel the size and the color the intensity of the color is absolutely unbelievable and that lets a wonderful specimen wow it's like blood-red like here the best ruby color yes of red normally when you have the blood red crystals you maybe have one two crystals on a map in small crystals but that you have so many so proudly here is a lot easy different and the nice extra is the yellow the yellow suicide here so that's making a little comedy I'd stirred I was wondering what that was yeah and this is from from Luke Luke Ian okay oh yeah look Ian is in Vietnam so that's different different Eric this is no joke yeah Wow it's a wonderful specimen yeah well and then this is more than one centimeter on edge to crystal they are not even touching each other this oh you're right same very small amount of space between is between of that mess and this is very special for the locality okay because I have never seen this color and clarity from that locality before and especially the color so if I had to guess I mean I would say this is a Brazilian green but I understand that this is not from Brazil it is not that's what the first impressionable people this comes from edge okay I understand Wow and it's the best crystal I've seen for the locality and with the green color a really nice termination and it's actually several crystals vertically attached and that is that's just fantastic green and it's size and the phone this is really sharp you know this extremely sharp well I'm pretty lucky to have acquired this case I tell you all right well it's ready thank you so much for sharing your specimens with us and web leche I look forward to seeing you again [Music] nice to see you and I guess it's another year and suddenly I mean I see that you have some amazing apatite crystals here and would really like to hear all about them from you yeah this is a one new pocket come out from Tanzania and the sights is crazy absolutely yeah and we condition is quite yeah - yes with the dioxide and the color also in the light the sunlight is really blue in the LED light coming some green yeah the sights is crazy yeah that one looks pretty spectacular yes and also secured with heavy stuff like oh yes actually that makes it quite unusual yeah yeah we upside unfortunately the colour contrast at the outside is almost to say that color in the sunlight this is a stronger opposed the dark um more blue and for green then you have an idea in the light is less diesel it's 40 centimeter and this is a very recent fine from what I understand about so one year ago after four come out from Tanzania this this moment is not easy and the necessary time for camp for correct for the Tanzania but is right so it's a complicated process get them out of the country yeah are they becoming very protective of their natural resources you have to go through all the formalities also say okay thank you really appreciate it and you look forward to seeing you again soon thank you so here we are with French crystal yay these are the people who actually climbed the mountains look for these famous alpine classes that have absolutely fantastic minerals in them we see the minerals and we assume that it's easy to find and that the mountains are full of them but maybe they are but the mountains do not give up their treasures easily and these guys work very very hard on their extremely harsh conditions to find these crystals and GM is going to explain to us a little bit some of their recent finds yeah thanks so last year for instance we have been collecting mineral called epidote in association with some quartz in a famous locality in France called meconium so the corneum is the mountain close to both ways oh it's an off ability and we've worked for very strongly to to dig in these rocks very strong rocks and we discover a pocket with those specimens association of quartz and episodes this is what we are doing in the summer and in the winter we are also continue to dig the mountain to discover pockets in other areas so our primary focus is the wasone that is the place we love most because it was all you can find some really good quality specimen like accident episodes and quarks or even anitha's top level specimens and we are also collecting minerals in the moon rock though there are very good specimen such as this one that we found last summer okay oh yes so I see well here you have of course the epidote crystals that are placed on a quartz as we just discussed a few minutes ago and the number of localities you can find epidote but it's not with the brilliance of the with the brilliance of those crystals as well as the famous was all quartz there they're just absolutely fantastic you know minerals that you find in this area that are not necessarily found in in other places so in this particular case you don't have as as big court says but the brilliance and the luster of the epidote on the matrix and then the courses that are coming out of it just really add to the specimen quality and the epidote is not as good as some of the other ones that you have but for me the aesthetics of the piece like this make it very very interesting pulling a piece like this out of the mountains must be incredible work I remember hearing from Kristen Jane in the shaman year that the access is difficult but the collecting is more easy but in was all because of these metamorphic amphibolite s-- the access sometimes is easier it's like the collection is much much more difficult absolutely this is exactly the case we also of some specimens very few by the way with some cal sites like this one okay and so it looks like the calcite grows over the epidote here so is this another generation of mineralization that happens after the epidote is deposited yeah a thing of the case absolutely yeah so this is very interesting as well wow this is really an impressive plaque I guess and it also shows the the way the the epidote grows on top so this was near the Nevada value yes exactly here we can see you know the meanwhile defi here which is exactly where we are looking for the pocket so these are the actual a thigh is basically a fault and so there's a sliding of rock that has opened up and then the hydrothermal fluids come up exactly you get the crystallization what is difficult is to know when you will have this pocket that will happens and the story about this this rock and the pocket is I think it has been found if I recall correctly in 2016 and at that time we reopened a very large pocket much larger than any previous pocket we opened before and the size of the pocket you know was just massive compared to traditional size like it was two meter extension by 80 centimeters and 40 centimeters and it is true that we have been with the chance to found a set of those you know size specimens which is really uncommon yeah I was going to say most of the time you have nice crystallisation but over a small surface area okay well it's been an absolute pleasure talking with you and you sharing our minerals Elma messy Bessy when I buckle up this year and we will be seeing you again soon I'm sure [Music] all right well Peter wonderful to see you again I met you last year and was very impressed with what you showed us and look I understand that you've been continuing working and have pulled out some more fantastic pieces from the mine we have we at that time we were driving a small tunnel to breakthrough into new workings okay now we've broken through and we have a very big mind with kilometres of tunnels and the most incredible different colors what's so amazing about green walls is just almost every pocket is different oh all right what are you saying kilometres a tunnel that's the lawful lot of tunnel to drive in a year these were driven in 1860 oh we had to do was to break through from where we had got to in the dig all right and then the crew have dipped a little tunnel and now we're into the the old workings as you say otherwise you'd be a 24 hour a day operation to achieve anywhere near that amount of tunnel it's it's not commercial it's a bunch of collectors and Friends mm-hmm digging and enjoying themselves this this I think sets the scene it's called purple love purple love oh I see a heart there's a right shape there yes and this actually we showed at Munich all right knee in the exhibit in Munich last year but I thought I'd show you a complete run of the different colors oh that's a good idea here this is a huge we're dealt win another huge Jemmy twin on the other side so it's a lovely piece it's actually the fluorite in the back is yellow and if you transmit light through it you will see yellow oh there you go yes indeed you're correct Wow so how much of the yellow is there there is that just Oh almost all of the fluorite that green laws seems to have yellow okay purple on top and and yellow underneath so you know you have a different contrast than we had on the other PS the the insides I mean there's still the Phantom appearance but the III can see particularly in this little corner right here it's almost turning into a burgundy wine type of a color we call it cranberry but cranberry well I was born in Dijon burgundy so for me it's wine yeah yeah that's really nice so this piece have a name as well we we call it the leopard or the leopard that's right you mentioned getting older here starting to forget things you know what we're doing underground we've we we don't take everything out of the cavity if we find the cavity like this what we're doing is we're trying to take some specimens so people can see them and then the remainder we leave so we can take people down and they can actually see the specimens insitute a little bit of a Posada right on the edges this is very very typical of the weird owl right down flat workings very historical flat workings this is typical of places like bolts burn green laws Rotter Apfel you see the same thing the side right on the side of them this piece has a little bit of history when we first went into the mind oh I'll show you what is rather amazing about this piece is this little mark here we the specimen was was in a clay filled pocket and when we found the edge of the pocket it was full of little pick marks from the miners saw reacting very rough etching and one of the the pick marks had gone in and that is the the actual pick mark from 1960s - oh right right in here in this little corner here that's amazing so they missed it completely but we managed to not retrospect and must be your fortune know a little bit to it I love it its provenance oh yeah history well thanks that makes it a much more interesting piece in that respect but I mean the the size and quality of these crystals I mean you've got some important discoveries here Peter you don't like it yeah it's really very thrilled to be able to see these and hold them and just really really feel fantastic so yeah so now there's none of the yellow coming through at all no this this does anybody look to have any yeah just on as you can see it just on limestone and and no yellow so it's actually quite unusual and I have a suspicion that that is why these are more cranberry colored oh because you're not getting we have through there transparencies not getting that color yeah I mean this is you're right dude cranberry is the right word this time yeah I can't claim this one to be burgundy you know that it's absolutely beautiful but isn't it incredible how you've seen in in four or five specimens so far you've seen completely different colors and and this just doesn't have the gradation and you saw in the other I mean maybe one or two crystals but for example over here it's it's just cranberry throughout yeah yeah that's that's fantastic this is superb now I'm going to show you something again totally different all right Oh oh my I don't know what to say this looks like it's a psychedelic color like somebody actually you know painted through this but obviously we know that nature produced it and there's no just is absolutely incredible so even though there's still an appearance of zonation the the depth and the intensity of the color is completely different from all the other ones yeah yeah Wow so this I mean again you have these huge twins big Jimmy twins right um but that's for these penetration twins are classic for for we're down they all right yes yes so Peter thank you so much for sharing with us Michael I really really always enjoyed good to see you again hopefully the next time I see you'll be at the mine look forward to it all right thank you [Music] physio the topic yes you so yes I do come from the long ways but it's it's always worth it and I know you you have some very nice things that you would like to show us some classics and some new material so maybe we can go inside and take a look yes I will I want to let me play they might eat the dead bodies okay so 19th century hematite sfrom Alba Island and let's take a look while active weather day the monocrystal extend among the young so these are extremely brilliant mono crystals of hematite from Elba Island famous as the site locality for L by two tourmaline one of my favourite minerals but also well known for hematite sand pyrites as well but these hematite SAR are really very very shiny and it's a foam which is that even though in every trade and this one and I was telling me has particularly unusual crystal habit the shape is not what one normally finds keep in mind that these are pieces that came out in the 19th century approximately so this is not a single crystal obviously but the cluster of hematite on a hematite matrix itself so the entire piece is hematite you can see on the the bottom or the backside and as you turn it it just shines in all directions it reflects the light you could shave in the morning in front of one of these they're so reflective so and these this one is also an old piece from the same time that is the nth put that they prevented so and end of the 19th century possibly the beginning of the 20th century Oh is there car mattresses useful this is a very unusual one yes it's a twinned crystal the size is very impressive and of course being a twin makes it particularly good this has really nice color to it and good luster we did offer the evolution so the reddish you know tints on this oh yeah you can see on this particular side where the it's actually almost jemmye and then this is the plain the twinning plane so you can see this crystal and that crystal it's almost as if they they grew outward one from the other Syd you Mozambique from the places you don't found is a nice result so this was collected at the end of the 1960's in Mozambique in Africa so Allah is pulling out a piece that I'm already salivating and how wonderful this piece is we have a Vivian I'd hear of on a siddha right matrix absolutely amazing color shape transparency on that middle crystal that we stay that moment and over here on in the upper part we have a twisted crystal so the growth is unusual in that respect very very nice in the locality from Nouveau she small dimaggio years as a pow so this is a new find in in central Amazonia in South America for the essence of TNT at does all so the first one started coming out of there about two years ago but this one is more recent from you brand new just came out this is absolutely insane piece Wow well you you definitely are bringing out treasures for us to enjoy here this alien yes I know you try very hard and you succeed that's the best part Mexico allah dhu yeah so thank you so much I know I know you're also in charge of the prestige exhibit and so maybe we should go over there and you can show us this year is an amazing display of course it's always wonderful together [Music] meet one more time this year we choose a subject of land minerals which is a quite a deep subject because there is 421 lesser species which contain we just make these are not scientific exhibits we just makin one showcase to explain let me and family like this instant results and all the secondary minerals yeah everybody knows like give all my fried nighty-night of course [Music] a little I agree users there is also some cool girls like you major I apologize which are less than drugs the second showcase I believe I met the National Museum of Korea which about the eye [Music] I'll change [Music] in the middle-aged [Music] finally we consider the story of San Mario malaria's that far because from the lead from the Galena big amounts of silver during 500 years and this was the beginning of the fortune of here for the second time we are busy on Mondays that we had the four years ago of volcanic minerals exhibition is a French geologist retired a specialist of marital minerals and shown us his is all vision led minerals from Morocco and I think this is quite quite good as you can see like the vanity night Caesar the little star of anglaise height of the superb v-twins of suicide all troops leave Latin towels and also classy locality and with some very nice rarities like you Navy life from visit blue tonight she like I gave a relative of the new school very kind french collector well-known children Nonna's man this year galina balan in bulgaria as you can see there is a few very very good things [Music] cubes in the middle of cuba hydrants the summit of nice water and plenty of very arrogant stranger twins and always astuteness of Canada is now specialized shown us vision mostly Europe and font you can notice some excellent things bigbonna Knights firmly Moline in the South of France some very good really go out forgotten written which is the end of the 18th century the captain I'm talking about you Iago showcase he's one of Eddie Castle bomb I think that everybody in the world knows there it is French surgeon very very famous character now he collects only French [Music] very old specimen actually we tell you which was really very richer led mine with some silver mountain forces or goal of mine mainly about the amount of and notice for instance that get in our which we should about the canteen of Edward and which is also [Music] this year we have a new institution with us which is a university of variation in Belgium and they have some very very nice big nada right another ride from Algeria one of the videos however I have ever seen and some giant Congolese like crystals from Tunisia these are works of geologist relate you too the University of variation and they shall also some real holotype like the format for Maria right Hong Kong Road this is a real holotype specimen to remind us that allergies not only very showy things it's also scientific studies and also historical piece with a nice sketch of a Gallina crystal from fiber one of our main partner fiction book Natural History Museum and the issue Germany and Belgium LED minimums and they have was quite very very good things especially round Pierrot from balance zinc a night from World's Fair absolutely fantastic very good on a night one more time from lamellae people family farms of course and very very strange pineapple let's say pineapple regal enough from the manatee very strange formation unique specimen theories of my vision from France because I only collect for so many years now so it's difficult for me to think about it specific localities [Music] reticulated Gelinas from lima one more time Emily and I took the risk very fragile leaders of suicide self-elected deep deep deep in the mail in ten years ago and there is of course many pure night only for tonight from some also like miracle mining is a some old classics for middle-earth and many men we stayed in Moscow family because these are the two cases of my wife Caroline you already see some of a specimen - Alison the last exhibition which usually you think I kiss rather so she has to place one they go to Africa definitely the very final series from infecting and what is interesting there in the case of the world with very very they are certainly from 1775 so that's quite old and this was a little bitty for it was named definite at that time it was I think you know led by origin a German of course and there is some lafarge which is a classic French look at noon right in the middle of the ocean one yard and some of those American and Mexican beautiful lights which are some classic that everybody knows and that she loves also an even increase so it's very very funny little crystals of nice from Australia in the middle of nowhere finish the prospect somewhere and they have so many extra faces leaves sometimes in life damn it the two other cases are devoted to some young collectors Federer goalie for the regime gee oh geez and now the teacher in central come along to infinitum [Music] they are and he collected people more fight is absurd on Facebook strategy oh man listen that means everything is given more fight and also only leaf out [Music] in the circle collector maxxtow Maxine is 26 years old and two years ago we decided to specialize in minerals from France the results of these two first unit of collection and believe me it's already very very good with some very rare disease from the Alps galina's this poor people can shake and some classic along tonight Jelena from the base now the mattock really showcases topic is geography so this is a showcase about Europe very very proud to showcase there is so many many of them are type locality so you can in some hydro set aside from man details of Great Britain the killer for jadeite Mantovani insomnia some of Lina right from Sardinia or for AP classes totality of every classic joining us from Derbyshire for Germany classic people from alcohol in Spain or Madam's in Germany the super classic limited form you are young start in Germany and many many years of different aside from being synchronized involved area Matlock is Jo kronite many more to discover and I forget the also classic mooninites rugged school - I like French always for all my friends around in some Halloween show wants to show what what we have in our country so this is a Odeon basement right here with some very old suicide of laQuan mean like all these innovators from here just on the other side of the hill and this very big verb very very characteristic he has been described by homemade real in their case is about [Music] [Music] you're talking about q3 and we have of course a mule is a coal mine which intersection veins [Music] sometimes City don't interpret it right right big crystals xing-ke night on samples in the south of flowers [Music] hosted by four with a locality which are well known everywhere this is written a massive with some classic you will go out that we already talked about and also papaya which are very classic for the strange senior cubes of gas in some motor mechanic II like working quarry for hot stone road babe of bedrock which [Music] which is very very rich because of [Music] type of our veins but which contain some gallon our twister in Saudia 105 so you can notice of course they file and Shia which are well-known for your fight story sight of the Sun Casino the less known locality from Fujiyama fight busy Navajo Sansa in town and I'm very happy to show some very well enough common value that many french collectors reading the books but never seen before because they are either in the drawers in the showcase about massive song file you can notice a great view which is possible in over useable well known in the past for all night for Chioma fightin in limited and also from pure right locality like lawn jockey which produce time to time sorry quite nice moonlight sometimes on the wrong floor right directly sometimes on quartz [Music] this is the case devotee in Asia and Australia you can see some flame but we might and few more fights from the China so we're getting our very very bright from the undergrowth as many Highland some suicide and given infinite ocean let's continue with African part of course extremely rich with human society meaning to nature oocyte phenotype the strong side from there go castles not very far from two men of quality night of infinite from Miroku [Music] suicide to India tonight for the Congo especially the giant lady light crystals fall to mention that you can to see here and the case America with of course Toma fight from intervene galina's from the and you know that Mississippi Valley type for geologists a big big importance in history of producing and there is also some cumin GI generally I some Infinite's on within Mexico and Arizona from some of the classics not everything because it's impossible Internet addition to show so many many specimen and you know I saw the other day something I will pass it and I actually didn't walk past it I just stopped a long time something exceptional so can you tell us a bit more about all of your films but especially this specific guy here because it's you know it's French first yeah and it's a really exceptional so yes this fund is in do in January this year they come from my mind I am the owner of the measured mine and the measured mine is a - City right it's a direct mine it's a hold mine in 19th century for Agron and I have Risto also mine okay I know Irish mineral and specially City right and this food is the best food never never making the in the mind and with the best specimen I never found it as a miner is from fantastic I think is the best personnel never phone in city wrecked in France yeah yeah maybe one or one of the best I completely agree with you yes I could agree with you so for those who don't know that it's situated in the Alps like in the ESF so maybe you've heard about both ways as well but like that's very close from go to us all but not go to us on itself so it's beautiful city rights and if you come closer you will see that the crystals are really perfect the color the color is amazing you know like usually city right are kind of brownish but this one is really bright green and all the crystals are like no Chris roads are damaged and you see some quartz as well and parts crystals sometimes in the fractures and you see some anchorites as well on this on this specimen here so it's really exceptional I mean you see you see the size of the specimen is definite it's really wonderful and it's a new film 2019 so since when do you have the mind tell yes 10 years okay so and you only do the mining I think that you bring tourists as well to your mind right yes I visit with man spiritual disease can you check your helmet yeah down the burn a girl and with not a lot of person for in four at a time for eight previous groups between between four eight and just you can visit the mine and see pockets ah in the mine with good spirit considerate periods and berry take cetera and it's a very funny and yes I know I couldn of mine just went there a few months ago and it came to my office like I saw this mine it was amazing and you can go and climb and the track down and then look at the rocks and see no to so that's really good yes very very good so this is a pocket so you see the the size this is a that Canyon pockets this is a screwdriver here yeah and that's your head right you can see this one Bob rice crystal here yes this crystal is here you see okay and actually you you show me another picture as well where it was still like dirty oh yeah that's the one yes you can see ya yes this one this is a pocket and this is the specimen you can see the outside as shown on the specimen and you see that the size again better because oh it's you again here it's verify oh it's a friend it's a friend that's you're taking the picture and you see that before it was all covered in oxide so if you have to clean it yes green wizard it unit just three tonight just just one diamond just removing all right yes well I love it thank you very much for sharing this and I think that when people walk into the swimming pool area they just see this fear a man say how is it for severity never sees other thanks thanks for saying that [Music] so that you have again something new this year this is great semi yes always something new and different and nice from outside you just can work passes booth and then I saw like all of these beautiful things right no no contrasts so can you explain to us what this yeah these white balls are tips up off of the couch oh yes okay noise so this is this is a very unusual find of calcite on top of Scola side so usually we have the we have just the Scola side and then a couple of years back we had the Scola side with the still bite and now we have these kind of sugar cubes all over the scholar side and this is a new fine which which we just got before the show so we brought our best pieces to this show here what I like about this one you see the needles and just on top of the needle or some scholar sites you have the calcite yes so that's really cool I like when you see when you see that you know it's not rested on the bowl that I just on the needles over there so that's a nickel yeah and a similarly nice piece is this one here where you have you have the you have the complete scholar side ball and then you have the the Cal sides on top of the other yes yes there is a sword there is a brownish tinge as well as to the honey calcite so that kind of adds to the appeal of that bear on this pharmacy actually yeah the top of the side is brownish right over to the other one yes so that's really cool so this this was this was found like many new finds in a water well in India and currently India we have having facing a problem of low groundwater rather low water so people are the government is encouraging people to dig more wells and these wells are not actually they're not looking for water they're actually reservoirs which the people I mean it's going to fill up when it rains in the monsoon so people make these reservoirs and while making them most of the time they find zeolites this is you'll find them everywhere yes Wow so we can expect a few months something new again yes in Pune right now this there's there's the work of the Metro going on so they're looking at a lot of places in Pune right this year we could expect something really great coming out of Pune that's great okay long time you know this one is hiding over there but I like it I know maybe you don't like it it's not this is because the custard is failing up yeah sorry I like this one as well yeah one of my favorite ones is actually your and then of course this one right here oh yes this one is cool because you can consider the hats here and in fact the calcite really looks good in the Sun I don't think we have a good that's one thing about saying maybe it is truly too hard insanely we saw actually something else here at Sammy's booth very nice pieces of scooter sites again matrix with Apple eyes this time so please Sammy yes yes yes again so this is from from a quarry between Mumbai and Pune there's a place called Pun well and there are some quarries operating there of course for aggregate just using the the raw material the basalt there as building material and the minerals are actually a byproduct of this quarry so they found a cavity and they called us and we we got it out so these are some of the few pieces that we were able to extract in impact form Wow okay the cavity was quite short does not much place to get into it and matrix is yeah the matrix it's got some chalcedony on it with some oxides right like you suggested and the green of off light with some petals still bite and it's quite a thin porous matrix you can see that there and I sort of quite a nice specimen there like the resumed as well yeah see you have like it's colorless and then it's got pinkish red and then in the center it's green yes sir so this is actually the way I like the specimen displayed up but it's so thin here there's nowhere to be I know where to mount that Soviet and this is actually the best piece that regard or look at the backside of this see how the scholar side is perched on that little stalactite there yes yes and I guess in this zooming of the vehicle flights they win in the center and pinkish red that whoa look at this little bowtie and it's a flat terminated bowtie of a powerful eye that's cool yeah so something very nice something again new from India [Music] group of Frenchmen years and this year is special for them because they published two books so we do bail is the editor and Georgiana Busan who published a my encyclopedia and this stuff together perished a very special computer rights so I'm gonna let Christophe talk about those two books and the editor very lately with the widow Monique was lucky enough and to de-risk to publish two great books this year so I respond one which is an antique copy you can give it to the other meteorology and Julia the birthday was actually the consulting scientist for further but the magazine has worked six years on this book so it's a major release six six years of work 600 pages two thousand pictures of great photographers like not only we know Big Bear but also jessicaho and meaning others it's a high quality book which is closing a gap a gap or a lack of works of reference in prongs yes this great book because basically can you just open it a bit you'd see each mule has at least one page with photographs so it's ranked by by family by class so we begin with the Nazi vitamins and then we move on to the sulfides the head ID oxide etc great job and I'm happy picture on it son Christopher I have something special as well because that's his book right and it's in French and English okay and it was released yesterday so it's very yeah yeah and I'm very grateful to me Dominique and Julia who both participated in this book the editor who's financing and taking the risk to to make it happen and Julia who has written the scientifical part of it the book is how take is really one of a kind because in many aspects not only because it's a new I'll take angle to handle right it's not what I would say a boring book or at least what I try to do because there's not much about I would say scientifical facts and descriptions and boring descriptions about localities it's only about France 50 locations are being described very shortly and what's really special is that this book is given is giving the the voice to 45 collectors but these characters are as either professionals like museum curators so like museum scientists creators and not collectors right you know is this part of it like would we are Caracappa nicola miser the liberal for the museum of shinee and many others but also just outside playing characters like myself like for me I'm hans-dieter with the Japanese the collector as well we've got people from out of the world but also traders like high-end ruse like enough to who's also a great I would say ambassador of French features most of them are full page features and the photograph is did a great job video meaning there is is one of them while kim ik-keun is a significant one as well Julia Babu say because he's a matter of all trades and all talents not all transport Aaron and Jeff Scoville as well so we've got an ad vendor mesh I shouldn't forget him as well so this book is displayed displays 50 locations and we've got I'd say focus and some more significant locations that's what's actually my first purchase when I first arrived in somebody I purchase first those two books for the museum because there they're gonna be reference books anyway so thank you thank you very much for your contribution yes between Nessie no it's a Keith [Music] at the term shoe here in Santa Maria it's not only about truth gemstones you have some jury designers as well and I really loved what I saw while I was looking around this area I just loved it and I just have them began talking to Joanne and Gemma here Gemma is a jury with drink designers that makes those beautiful jewelry pieces so thank you I stopped first for the lapis everything is stunning so thanks can you tell us more about your company and how what is involved and for example can you talk about this very specifically because I love it yes first of all we want to say that we are from from Barcelona and our company is a familiar companies Gemma is the third generation of juries of a main family the my grandfather Biggins [Laughter] and my my fire follow follow the steps of my Graham fire and then Gemma Gemma is the third generation all for example did ring all our all our eggs every are made by by by her and and all the all the various unique pieces are unique pieces and in this in this case this is a ring made in oxyde silver and yellow ball 18 carats with raw lapis lazuli from Afghanistan and we put a diamond inside and his is which she loves she loves to to make this kind of of pieces because she has a lot of respect for the for the nature and she loves to to put in here in in her jewelry rock stones like as lapis lazuli ore or another kind of historic appreciate the fact that seem she kept the rough stones and she made the jewelry yeah exactly that's what it's really respectful of their of the rough gemstones so it's really beautiful really appreciate that I love it thank you thank you very much we try to we try to to to put always highest quality in our jewelry because for example visit this lapis from Afghanistan Afghanistan that is roughly it looks like like a sky so in a very other style that I liked a lot as well using pebbles putting opals inside little diamonds that's really cool can I pick of course of course this is a special collection for us which is called at me because the place that that we find the River stones is a lately ballet or MIDI Rizzo team France yeah near of middle of second egg on a ho-bag latina so I picked up another labradorite I hope that you see that the the blue yeah that's beautiful again the stone is perfectly picked because not all a bird right divers rights will show this yes yes every distance like this but this one is beautiful and again very respectful of the stone following the waves of the stone of the rough stone yes if you realize you don't you don't you never don't see the stone out of the of the ring mhm yeah no no it's perfect yes true meanings here Germany is like the set of terminal is really cool yes this is a raw black tourmaline the most important here in the in the necklace is that the Japan tried to to show to the people the composition of tourmaline when when when we find in the in the lab no is a prismatic disperse Matic composition move and then she makes the class with with a central stone with actually can you show us the clap as well on the back yeah because with Internet and you see in this case is small and yellow quality in care at all okay but it's very important the throttle design but is very important in yes back all our thinking for a comfortable sensation when you wear the necklace yes that's great great great way thank you so much good welcome all right Gemma a superb work great work thank you very much nice meeting you guys and I would definitely come back next year [Music] Danny again I have to stop by the booth Savva come on doing Fabiana milky I'm trying I promise every year I'm trying not to stop at dinners good but I walked past his booth and then I was stopped by this amazing amazing big cat side and right here so I'm sorry but again we have to stop and see yeah so can we have a closer look at this definitely so awesome stone it'sa from Tanzania Tanzania yeah okay and when was it discovered this was discovered I think about fifteen years ago already yeah as really big crystals with a whitish skin and the world inside was yellow with a lot of needles okay but with the cat's eye if you look outside yeah that's the first time I've seen such a big one how big is this one that one is a hundred and fourteen I guess one point 14 carats yeah it's really sharp the cat's eye is pretty sharp so that's pretty cool this one is very sharp as well and the de gemstone is really pure and the color is unstable unstable yeah because it's not always the case with yellow Denver right yeah yeah some might paid for might be okay but this is the positive yeah yeah so usually we find too much rights and quartz quartz so inclusions of doom or try to eat words like the blue inclusion that you see in this one but we found some actually too much right big enough to be cut so not only in small shiny inclusion in quartz but pure too much right here yeah and these came from Brazil and the new material comes from Madagascar okay so usually yes we found that the do much right enforcement Brazil this is Madagascar Gina we're in Madagascar it's in the South but I I don't know exactly because I like the color so that's actually big for like less than one millimeter like only a few pieces had been found also in Tanzania like a few years ago but alluvial ones and sporadically really like you know one here one there I would see you soon a bit okay yeah thank you thank you very much some nice and cool weather too this morning [Music] the connector that stick is really well known in the business it wants to be you know you must keep quiet but it always has amazing spoons so that's Nick thanks for allowing us to come and film you because I know that you're camera shy but you always have amazing stuff I was I stopped here first because I saw some interesting gemstones that are never cut okay because they're too soft and light but you have some so can we have a look and at them yes I kept the rug for the 25 years for the good cutter because most of the guitar they will ruin it well of course of course yes so that's the reason it's still on the market that's truly amazing you know it's something that we might not see again you know it's really rare especially in this color because most of the angles at where white white and white is not interesting I have a white one here which is just oh yes right look at this one look at this one I like this one a lot next to the angler sites he had some unusual gemstones that people usually love with it's it melts outside multitude I guess most it is not really care to be determined and people say it's okay it's not a jet it's between Jade and so tip it's an interesting stone and it needs to be studied more right and it's from Burma from from Myanmar sorry the Jade area yes from the trade area yes exactly this one is actually really really nice and they're green in green you know like sometimes it's not as as pure as that and some people make beads out of them usually see beads I don't see like gem cut gemstones too bad no transparency but the color this one is great very vivid yes the question now is not that quality this matter also is older but this one is like you know is it still just quartz but it's fun quartz it's a colo we don't see too much in adventuring usually it's more paler exactly this one is very saturated in color which permits a lucrative look very shiny so what is the inclusion giving the crucial for Shih Tzu sites which is is gradually itis it could be used like fake emerald yeah but this is like it has a lot of shine so this one is I like I like this one because you can actually see the glitter inside but some are I can take another one out maybe this one is more like [Music] emerald color the idea was to cut on the in the middle more less it's not strong for jewelry because the oddness is around four for the two minerals it's more for collector tendons yeah difficult to get a good polish nice yeah yeah that's what we were saying it's very difficult to use to accomplish that's cool - I just like this you know great look at this colorful tray that we made out here it's perfect nice Betsy thank you very much thank you thanks for having us here yes okay spending a bit of time with us we'll see you morning everyone in Tucson everywhere unique Tucson that money I was walking down the aisles here and for the first time I saw Alexandra and actually not that extent work with her stones first and it's like okay this is curious you know they she has a lot of interesting stones very colorful aquamarine and a bunch of unusual stones and I stopped at the booth and I began talking to her so and it's aa nice to meet you nice to meet you nice to see you and she has a very interesting story on top of that so can you tell us about what should you and where do you mind and where do you go and look at your gemstones they all come from one very specific place right here - cofey nice to meet you I'm Allison very fast so I'm a geologist so I walk in Madagascar so I'll go in mind I work only with little minds with only with record so this is a coal miner okay is right okay you see I'm looking at these are usual colors for aquamarine from that I guess this is actually pretty good this two years ago okay I asked so many people in Madagascar I'm sorry let me speak with a blueberry okay so I such by following riverbed so I found written mind with this girl okay very interesting so I work with my my partner again I chew in Madagascar so after two years we have the big one very good fellows they were affrighted know each other so these are really amazing i'ma CRA's gonna push them inside I'll see them better amazing color that's what we usually refer as Santa Maria aquamarine Santa Maria is in Brazil yeah and these are from Anna gasps car they are non not heated she found them rough like this and actually she only produces non-treated gemstones okay so in this this is actually the real color no treatment at all we mature like Sun every like Santa Maria meet our economy just here you have a set of another gemstone that is called circle these are green circle this is usually the color of zircon that you would find at the mines okay yeah my new kernel this one okay brownish this is a really like really good I mean you can recognize that this is your home but again when I was working fast so another green stone I had I could not believe it was her come here just yeah compare let's if we compare the color and for yours it's my fine accelerates okay yeah you know I could have told it was a garnets because the dispersion is high just like a garnets and the color is just as amazing as a garnish but no it's a it's a zircon so the color is due to natural irradiation yeah and we call it minimal damage and it might sir come this one same thing same same story you found the went to the mind on here in this same story say can you actually go to the mine the mines in Madagascar is that's fine because you know as a woman it's really dangerous yeah already so but going to if you go to the villages right so we're going through villages still fine then how do you go how do you get to the mines directly we have people that you know along the years because you've been going to Madagascar for three years you were telling me three three-and-a-half maybe for you for years okay begin to know people now and you have a connections yeah every to Camacho so I discover this country okay because I begin my main story after my society in Madagascar okay so now I work with twenty to twenty that since the villages that work for me yeah only just money it's not for me you know misery yeah you have no people work in between you and the people who actually go and find the magnetite and the microwave okay I'm gonna come true annika her before because to fool people country so now only my match and me right perfect very beautiful well you know what's Alexandra I think I'm just gonna walk away with the Sun on my hands thank you all right okay okay give it back to you fair enough thank you thank you very much Thanks and I will see you again very soon thank you for sharing the story [Music] we are again at the till you of mine in the Silver Valley of San Mao you mean very old silver mine we have been here before with a Louie's guy you who was seen rappelling down one of the old mine shafts subsequently we were here again for but this time for a photographic exhibition by Albert Rus and the subject was ice and ice crystals and this time we have another photographic exhibition but this time is about a salt mine located near null see about a hundred kilometers from here the only operational actual full-on salt mining operation in France in this day and I am here with the geologist of the mine and so sadly kilo ohm shanthi esophageal delicacy so Cedric has guided me given me some information and he is also the photographer who has taken all the pictures that are in this exhibition and we are currently leaning against an 800 kilogram salt block this is the material that is mined and the principal use of this is for de-icing roads in France so here the the title of this exhibition is a voyage through the heart of salt we begin with the outside of the mine so Sanaa basically referring to salt and this is the main shaft down which the miners the equipment go as well as the product comes back up after it has been mined we go down this particular shaft and you enter the actual mine in this particular photograph we see old markings of the miners when they use to pick methods to get out of the salt so as we carry on we see galleries which unlike areas that are often seen where we mind for specimens here the scale is much much different one thing I want to point out is that this is a network of pillars and galleries the pillars are there to maintain stability so that the entire system does not cave in because otherwise now you would not be able to continue mining it's not a problem to bring miners down the old shaft but the shaft size has not changed and now we have this very large industrial sized equipment that does not necessarily fit so these giant front loaders are too big to fit in the elevator so what they do is you can see a line right here and then line right here they must take this equipment apart bring it down piece by piece and reassemble everything at the bottom of the mind so this photograph here is very interesting because this is an actual shot or the blasting of the hole we're dealing with tunnels that are more than 15 meters in width and a ceiling of four and a half meters and they basically drill four meters into the salt and then they set off a shot you can see all of these flashes at the beginning of the shot and it drops down the salt which can then be transported by these large front loaders and the material that is collected and will be transported through along this large conveyor belt through the tunnel and ground down to an average diameter of the particles of approximately four millimeters so almost a half a centimetre that material can then be carried again by the front loaders and they stockpile material in the area that have been previously mined and they then carry it back up the same elevator that the miners in the equipment have come down here's a picture that was taken by Sadiq and it shows you the particles of the finished product so I want to thank Sadiq now for a very very interesting visit and for amazing photography of this operation Mitsy beaucoup [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music]
