Put Some Clothes On Your Faith! - DeVon Franklin

[Music] what I've noticed in this season yes you are in life someone yeah see that what I've noticed in this season is that we are alive right we're alive we're alive but what I've noticed is that our faith isn't having the impact what's uh Brookshire our faith isn't having the impact that it was designed to have anybody been you've been believing but you haven't necessarily been getting the results of your belief so God gave me this word because I think we have to make an adjustment in order to make sure that our faith works according to its design our faith when it works according to its design is guaranteed to deliver the very thing we are believing in but a lot of times we believe intellectually we have faith intellectually but it actually hasn't manifested practically right so I want to talk about this tonight so important it's so important to know that our faith makes us acceptable to God and I gotta let you know that faith is going to be the thing that's gonna get you through this season and into the next one but it's so important to have faith according to the word because sometimes we have this intellectual thing this belief that stays here that never manifests practically and as a result we don't get the results that are available to us if we used faith in conjunction with the instructions in the word so here we go I'm gonna be reading from James chapter 2 I'm gonna start in verse 14 and we'll work our way through all right what good is it my brothers if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds I repeat what good is if my brother if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds so what good is it to have faith if you don't have deeds what our deeds deeds our work so what good is it for a man to say he has faint if you don't have the works can such faith the faith with no works can it save him can it deliver him what good is it if a man or a woman claims to have faith no work can this type of faith that has no work to back it up deliver that person from anything hmm I'm gonna keep going I want to fast forward to verse 17 in the same way faith accompanied by itself excuse me I'll repeat in the same way faith by itself if it is not accompanied by action is dead in the same way faith by itself is not accompanied by action is dead hmm so if I have faith faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen so if I have a belief about what is going to happen in my present in my future but that belief is not accompanied by action it's not accompanied by work then that very belief that very faith that I'm having does not work dead means useless the defective dead have you ever got something from the store and it was defective what would happen what happened you want to take it back am i right so let's break this down for a minute faith by itself is dead this is the Word of God this is not Devon Franklin faith by itself is dead faith if it's not accompanied by action is dead hmm so if you are not getting the answer to your prayers if you are not seeing the results that you are looking for in life it's not that God's Word isn't good it could be cuz there are not enough works to support your faith so when you look at this text faith and work have to work together if you have one and you don't have the other it's not going to work in order for faith to be alive in your life in my life we've got to have the belief and we've got to have the work to support the belief so my question is is your life currently if someone were to observe your life if someone were to watch you day in and day out could they by your actions see what you're in faith over could someone observe by how you live what you're believing God to do can I talk to somebody tonight if you believe that God is going to deliver a a you a job in this season let's say you may have lost your job let's say you may have been furloughed but you're still believing that you are gonna get a job but you don't get up every day you don't put out your resume you don't make calls you don't text anyone to say hey you've you heard anything you don't get up and even get dressed hmm but you're believing that God is gonna answer your prayer but you're not participating in the process to receive the answer some of you you're believing that God is gonna take your business to the next level okay great but are you working on the next level now is there excellence on the next level that you're applying to your business now some of you you're you're believing that God is gonna open up a door for you let's say you're an actor or you're in the entertainment business you're you're believing that God's gonna open a door but you don't actually prepare it's like believe he he's gonna give you an audition but she don't actually learn their lines you don't actually learn the character you're just thinking God's gonna open the door and you're gonna walk through it but faith without being accompanied by work but action is dead so it's so important that if you have a belief about what God's going to do you and I have to align our actions to support what we are believing this is so important this is why you and I have to resist the temptation to wake up in the morning depressed angry frustrated mad unmotivated don't get me wrong there's a lot going on right now I understand but we have to resist the temptation to allow our frustration and what we don't see to disrupt our actions in our work faith if it does not have action if it does not have works it is dead doesn't work it's defective it's not effective it's dead I don't know about you but I don't want anything that's dead in my life so if faith is not accompanied by work or by actions it's dead what does that mean what does that mean that means you and I have to start looking at our life and do an inventory and say how am i living am i living by what I see or am i living by what I see hmm did someone get that am i living by what I see or am i living by what I see y'all don't understand I'm not just talking to you because this is what I think sounds good I live this any time I get ready to make a move of God I start to prepare before the door opens when I was believing God was going to open the door as a producer I started to act like the producer before I got my company before I produced my first movie I acted like a producer I've learned how to produce I begin to see my company in my mind and all of my actions were that of a producer even though the producer had not yet manifested in the present the only way that I was able to ultimately receive the the company to become an a producer the only way is because I allow my faith to be accompanied by action so that it was alive and well in the same way faith by itself some of you your faith is too naked some of you your faith is too naked you need to put some clothes on your faith you hear what I'm saying turn to your neighbor you may be in the house by yourself turns you neighbor say neighbor you need to put some clothes on your faith because your faith is too naked faith by itself when you got naked faith it is dead it ain't gonna work it ain't gonna put some clothes on your faith come on somebody come on you got to put some clothes on your faith come on don't be walking around here with no naked faith uh-uh you better cover up you better put something low you better put something on that faith nah if you believe you got to put something on it a man Robbi even said before I cast my first project I called myself a casting director amen hey man so Robbie put some clothes on her faith before she became a casting director and now she is one of the most legendary casting directors in Hollywood has ever seen come on your faith is too naked right now even at a time like this you got to put some clothes on your faith you've got to put some action with your faith don't be walking around here with your faith with no action because in essence if you do not close your faith and your faith is naked then you're never gonna be able to get the power available to you turn to your neighbor and say put some clothes on your faith I'm talking to somebody you may have someone else in the house with some family yet on the other room your faith is too naked the preachers talking to you somebody come on faith if by itself not accompanied by action is dead it does not work but faith when accompanied by action faith not by itself when accompanied by action is alive is alive is alive you are in this live right now because we're trying to pump life back into your body you've got to know you've been putting your dreams you've been putting your purpose you've been putting your plans you've been put in your future you've been putting them in a situation where you're not really supporting them why because you have faith over it but you have no work so for it anything you believe you have to work to receive anything you believe you have to work to receive anything you believe you have to work to receive so important if you believe it then you have to work to receive it I don't know who I'm talking to right now but somebody's life is being transformed right now because too often you have the intellectual faith but your life does not match up so right now we're putting clothes on our faith how because we're a company of my action I want my faith to be closed in action I want to go into accident action means I'm living it I'm breathing it I'm doing it I'm believing it and you can see it on me I don't know who I'm talking to right now but somebody's got to know that someone has to be able to see what you're believing on you y'all see these church you guys love these stories oh I love don't face church why because you can see it on me when you put clothes on your faith when you put some works on your faith people can see it on you they can see who you are believing for something how because your priorities shifted you no longer just spend the day scrolling no you got you get up and you prepare you get up and you workout you get up and you prioritize wow you must be in belief about something happen cuz I can see it on you you don't just spend time anymore you know with these idol texts and distracted and detoured no you you you are you you seemed focused I see your eyes shift and there's something different I can see that you put something different on and when someone says these things to you you you can say yeah put some clothes on my faith I put some works on my faith I had to change everything in order to align with what I was believing I got to talk to somebody right now if you have to change everything in your life in order for it to line up with your belief make the change why are you procrastinating too often we rest in what is not working if you God has promised to deliver something to you and you are not feeling the progress or seeing the progress in maybe because your life has not yet aligned with what you believe so it's really important if you've got to change some things in your life change whatever you got to change change it change it this room right here depending on what I have to shoot during the day I rearranged the whole room based upon what I gotta shoot I got to move furniture around I'm moving dead stand whatever I got to do whatever don't matter why because I know what I got to do I got a job to do you have a job to do don't be afraid to rearrange everything in your life in order for it to support what you're believing what's also critical and I'll move on to the next point is they're whole Lots if there's a whole lot I gotta get through when you and I have faith and it's accompanied by works then there will be the DNA of what we're believing and everything that we're doing if you're doing things that don't support your faith there will be no DNA and your doing that will show what you're believing you've got to know this you've got to know this that any action that you're taking right now you have to ask yourself is this supporting my faith or not is this action supporting what I believe or not oh wow I got to give you a commercial break I'm coming right back to our regularly scheduled program a lot of people been coming to me invite for advice during this dating a season you know pandemic how do you date all this kind of stuff if you are in faith that God is gonna bring you loved if your actions don't support your faith then you may never get the love this promise to you if you get into the mindset that well I can text him well I can text her back the same people that God's already delivered you from but because you're lonely in the pandemic you find yourself sliding back to someone God delivered you from and then you still want God to deliver love to you but your actions are not supporting your faith why because you're spending your actions with somebody you already know ain't gonna lead you where you want to be if you are spending your time your life your actions and your actions don't align with your faith then the two will never intersect and you'll never receive the power of what's available to you I promise you right now if your dating habits don't support the faith that you have over your love life then you got to change your habits mm-hmm because there are some people you already know you know uh-uh you ain't good for me I'm weak over you what you ain't good for me come on let's just be honest no no every time I interact with you oh wow you know I'm weak over to you but I know you're not good for me you're not for me right but I still find myself you find yourself drawn back to that person you've got to cut off every action that doesn't support your faith and where your faith needs more support than you've got to add more action all right I don't know again I don't know who this is for but please if you are believing God for love allow your dating actions to support what you're in faith about please and if you are not dating according to your faith in your belief then the way that you are dating is working against what you believe if your belief in God can deliver love then your actions got to support that if your action don't support it then you're actually by your actions showing that you believe the opposite I hear you Lakeisha can't wait to come out to preach you used to the priest right this is really important we got to do an autopsy we got to do a an assessment we got to do a CSI investigation of our actions lord show me my actions let me look at my actions and say what is supporting my faith and what is not really really really really important you got to get this in your spirit because in this time and I'm moving on in this time the enemy wants to keep you distracted he wants to keep your actions separate from your faith because he knows that when your actions and my actions combined with our faith were on stoppable nothing that we can't do our faith is alive and well so important so during this time be mindful of the distractions and be mindful of people who come into your life during this season who you already know every time I have an interaction with that person I in the moment it's cool but overall it's not then I encourage you not to do it you don't have to respond every text that comes through you don't have to answer every call that comes through just because they want to faith time don't mean you have to face time you won't you gotta be more cognizant of your actions during this season in order for your faith to work according to its design I could stay there all night right back to her regular scheduled program here we go verse 18 but someone will say you have faith I have deeds so someone will say you have faith I have D so let's partner up right you got the faith I've got the deeds doesn't work that way it doesn't work that way you and I have to have both I can't just partner with you cuz you got the faith and I've got the deeds no I've got the work you got the faith hey we just get there together no you got to believe for yourself uh-uh do me a favor just do me a favor go ahead and type right now you got put say I got a believe for myself come on somebody I got a believe for myself you can't have nobody believe on your behalf I listen to what I'm saying there may be people that really believe God's gonna do great things in your life and they can see it but first you got to believe on your own so so go ahead and write in the comments I have to believe for myself for myself I've got to believe for myself my mama can't believe for me my pastor can't believe for me my spouse can't believe for me my mom my friends can't believe for me come on somebody my my co-workers can't believe for me I've got to believe for myself who am I talking to right now I've got to believe for myself I've got to believe for myself I can't I can't get by on nobody else faith I've got to believe for myself for myself come on somebody get this in your spirit I've got to believe for myself myself because too often we trying to get by on other people's faith like sometimes you try and get by on other people's credit you ever maxed out your credit you need somebody else's credit you trying to charge stuff on a car that you probably should be buying anyway don't treat your faith the same way uh-uh no no no you can't charge on my card you got to believe for yourself who am I talking to right now I gotta believe for myself come on I see you I see you and I see you to me I see you Stacey I see you Glenda I see you I see you Nicole I've gotta believe for myself come on yes yes yes yes yes I see you royal I see you Paula I see you Pamela why is this important because if I don't believe for myself I'll never act for myself if I don't believe for myself I'll never do for myself come on if you don't believe for yourself you will never do for yourself never because you don't have the belief the belief and what God is gonna do the belief and what he has promised you and I is the motivator that helps us do see I didn't believe for myself over some things that y'all may not even see that God's gonna do in my life but I see it so when I'm even believe for myself it motivates me to get up early it motivates me to work out it motivates me to prioritize it motivates me to read it motivates me to study it motivates me to do everything I can during the day to maximize it why cuz I believe for myself what God is gonna do so I can act for myself some of you have been relying too much on other people to do things that you are supposed to be doing on your own I love you I say it in love but I gotta tell the truth too often we are outsourcing what we're supposed to do because we have an expectation that somebody else is gonna do it for us listen I have nothing against the government and I do hope that they help but what if they don't what if they don't give any more stimulus money does that mean that God's not gonna bless you that does that mean that the finances are not coming so you can spend your day being man that the government didn't do what they were supposed to do but at the end of the day are you gonna do what you're supposed to do you gotta believe for yourself I've gotta believe for myself and then I've got to do for myself now it doesn't mean that we won't get help it doesn't mean that there won't be a provision that God aligns on our path but if we don't start to take accountability and responsibility for our life we will never receive the fullness that of our life that's promised to us I love you so much I got to tell you the truth too often we are too passive and then we complain oh this person didn't do this so that means you know I must say you know God must be upset and I'm not let's say you know you want to move forward in your career somebody goes to text you back or someone's supposed to email you and they didn't email you and you make an excuse well they didn't get back to me so I don't know what I'm gonna do what do you mean you don't know what you're gonna do what would you do if that person didn't exist what would you do if that person drop dead heaven forbid right now what would you do is it just gonna be that person doesn't bless you so that means oh man the blessing on your life is over come on somebody if you believe for yourself then you gotta do for yourself and too often you're not doing for yourself because you're waiting for somebody else to do what's your responsibility to do I said this story early on I'm gonna repeat it again my young I'm a middle child of three boys my older brother his name is Donald my older brother when we were younger in an elementary school he would help me with my homework every day he would help me solve the problems and this particular day he was on the phone cupcaking that's what I call it he was cupcaking with his girlfriend and every time I would go over to him to say hey I need some help he wouldn't answer me he'd be like man I'm on the phone whatever so I went over on the couch and I mope I was upset I was man who was I mad at him I can't believe he's not helping me with my homework I can't believe he knows that I'm this assignment is due tomorrow I can't believe that he just sitting over there on the phone disregarding my feelings disregarding the fact that I need his help and then as I sat there on the couch as a kid I got the revelation tomorrow I'm gonna have to go to school and turn in this assignment the teachers not going to ask me did your brother help you or why didn't your brother help you the teacher is just gonna say did you do the assignment or not and in that moment I realized this is my responsibility not his so I fixed my face I wiped my tears I went over to the table I did the very best that I could I turned it in yeah I may have gotten a you know B minus or C didn't matter I learned the value of taking accountability and responsibility for my life and from that day to this I believe for myself and I do for myself doesn't mean that I don't need help in times it doesn't mean that I don't ask for help but when it comes to how I live my life I'm not asking anybody to do for me what I'm not already doing for myself this is why when it comes to dating oh Jesus y'all about to fall out of my chair at night yo this is why when it comes to dating don't expect somebody in your dating life to do something for you that you're not doing for yourself if you're not taking yourself out if you're not wining and dining yourself if you are not cheating yourself like you are the prize how do you expect somebody else to do that come on somebody let's just be honest you got to take care of yourself you got to do for yourself so that when someone does for you it's like they do for you what you're already doing it's not like you need them to do for you so that you can feel how you need to feel come on will you take accountability for yourself because you believe for yourself then you're bringing something even greater to the relationship I'm talking to somebody too often even in the relationship we're outsourcing we're waiting on that person to do something oh well they didn't take me out and they didn't do this what were you taking yourself out before well if you want taking yourself out why you spec them take you out come on come on come on fade if not accompanied by action is dead provide your love life start putting some action behind it start believing for yourself and doing for yourself the same things you want people to do for you do for yourself first and then you will be preparing yourself to receive those very things that you already do I see you ELISA I stayed I know it stings but it's a love it's in love so important it's so important again we can stay here all night show me this is verse 18 second part of it show me your faith without deeds show me your faith without work and I will show you my faith by what I do so the text here is saying okay you want to show me your faith without deeds but I'm gonna show you my faith by what I do we're talking about our actions having the DNA of our faith our actions having the DNA of what we believe so if you can see what I believe I'm gonna show you what I'm believing by how I'm working so it's interesting again y'all I use my own life so that you know that when I'm going through what I'm teaching is the same thing that I'm living by so I'm believing God to do some things in my life and so if you look at my Instagram page and you look at my facebook and what I'm doing you begin to see actions you begin to see evidence of what I'm believing you begin to connect the dots of like who this is interesting Wow God devons believing for something because I can see it in his actions Devon don't gotta say a word I can see that his actions are telling me that is true it is very true your actions do speak louder than words and it's so important when you look back at the text it says I will show you my faith by what I do some of you you're talking too much and you're not doing enough some of you you're telling everybody what you're gonna do you're telling everybody you're playing you're telling stop talking they don't need to know let him watch let them observe because sometimes you talk to somebody that God didn't tell you to talk to and they try to talk you out of what God is trying to talk you into right come on now hey let them see what you're believing by what you do and how you live you don't always have to tell somebody what you're believing you and God know let your actions speak louder than your words we talk too much we post too much we're saying too much mm-hmm no no no no you ain't I don't have to tell you exactly what I'm believing you can see it in my actions I don't have to come in and say hey what do y'all think about this no no God's giving me a revelation I'm believing for myself I'm doing for myself and my actions are leaving the breadcrumbs of my belief you don't have to always speak to somebody and tell them what you're gonna do just do it just do it mmm remember the Nike slow just do it just do it just do it you're talking too much turn to your neighbor again I know we're in quarantine you may be in the house by yourself but turn to your imaginary neighbor and say you're talking too much you may have somebody in your house they in the other room go ahead and say neighbor you're talking too much come on come on you've got to let your actions speak louder than your words this is what the text is saying show me your faith without deeds and I will show you my faith by what I do okay I want to go to verse 20 real quick I know we got a little bit more time verse 20 I want to finish this you foolish man do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless do you want evidence that faith without worse is useless do you want the evidence here it is was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar you see that his faith and his actions were working together hmm his faith and his actions were working together okay wait wait let's just go back if we could real quick real quick I'm just gonna read this in your hear let's go back to Abraham in eyes of real quick Genesis 22 I'm gonna read real quick I know I talk fast but I want to make sure I get all this in so y'all gotta follow me all right this is a good story we're good so here's what this says James chapter 2 verse 21 says was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar we go back to Genesis 22 sometime later God tested Abraham he said to Abraham Here I am he replied oh he said - he said to him Abraham he called out Abraham Abraham said Here I am then God said take your son your only son Isaac whom you love and go to the region of Moriah sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains I will tell you about verse 3 early next morning Abraham got up saddled his donkey he took with him two of his servants and his son Isaac when he had cut enough wood for the burnt offering he set out for the place God had told him about what's interesting in this text again God tells Abraham go sacrificed your son Isaac and he does and Abraham does not say God will why he just says ok God if you're calling me to do it then I'm gonna do it the other thing it says early next morning Abraham got up saddled his donkey he took his servants and Isaac but he didn't tell them everything God told him this is why I say you got to stop talking so much because God is revealing certain things to you that you don't need to tell anybody else because as long as you know that's all that matters as long as you know what God has called you to believe in don't know we need to tell it you just got to do it I'm staying the text on the 3rd day we're talking Genesis chapter 22 I on the third day Abraham looked up saw the place in the distance he said to his servants stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there we will worship and we will come back to you ok oh boy so he leaves the donkey which you thought he would have used for the sacrifice he leaves the donkey he leaves his servants and the only person he takes is Isaac his son verse 6 Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and placed it on his son Isaac and he carried himself and he himself carried the fire and the knife as the two of them went on together Isaac spoke up and said to his father other abraham said yes my son Isaac said the fire and wood are here but where is the lamb for the offering oh boy so here they are they going up the hill Isaac's like wait a minute you said we're gonna go up here and sacrifice I don't see no donkey I see the fire in the wood but where is the sacrifice oh my goodness now Abraham knows that he is the sacrifice but he didn't have to reveal what God had revealed to him because by what he says this implies that Abraham has faith that somehow God is gonna deliver him out of the situation what does Abraham say Abraham says God Himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering my son and the two of them went on together again he's his his again we're talking about faith and works we're talking about believing and doing so he had a belief okay God is asking me to sacrifice my son but God also told me that through my son my son is my seed and generations will come through my son so I don't believe that God is gonna cut off his promise so I believe that he is the God of his promise so I actually have a belief system of somehow Isaac surviving all this I don't know how but I'm gonna go ahead and allow my actions to align with my belief and do what God has called me to do but still believe that he's gonna deliver the promise so he believed the promise of God and he also was obedient to what God called him to do he said he's gonna provide the land did he know that there was going to be a land no he didn't he just said I believe God is gonna provide the lamb let's go watch it here we go it says verse 9 when they reached the place God had told him about Abraham built an altar there arranged the wood on it he bound his son Isaac and laid him on the altar on top of the wood yawl this is crazy I mean I wonder if Isaac was fighting I probably would have been fighting daddy don't put me on this no no daddy no no I don't know the text doesn't give us the dialogue of what Isaac may have been saying but if it was me I'd have been yelling I'd have been yelling mom dad don't do this to me dad right he bound his son Isaac laid him on the altar on top of the wood verse 10 then he reached out his hand took the night to slay his son but the angel of the Lord called out to him from heaven and said Abraham Abraham and he said Here I am do not lay a hand on the boy do not do anything to him now I know that you fear God because you have not withheld from me your stuff Rahim looked up and there in the thicket he saw a ram caught by his horns he went over he took the RAM he sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son we go back to James chapter 2 verse 22 you see that his faith and his actions were working together his faith and his actions were working together and they were made complete by what he did complete means read goal bringing about the desired resolution so when our faith and action work together it works in alignment with God's intent for us Abraham God said take your son Isaac up to that mountain and sacrifice him and Abraham was saying this you know I am not willing to allow my own desire to see the promise on my life become my god so I will sacrifice my promise if it means that is what required to be obedient to him too often we have a plan that we want to execute in life and we want it so bad we begin to worship the plan we begin to worship the promise when when when the text is saying Genesis what part of my own that was a Genesis chapter 22 what the text is saying is that when I say you got to have faith and works right you got to have faith in works to work together but you also have to know that this faith in works is designed for whatever God called and caused our lives to become for it happen too often God gives us the revelation and we make the revelation our God can you imagine it Abraham was so committed to his promise that he said Lord I'm not sacrificing Isaac I'm not doing it I'm not putting any works behind that faith no I'm not gonna do it but he had to have the faith that God somehow was gonna deliver him he didn't know how he didn't know how until his actions took him to the edge of where his faith could no longer carry him he said okay well you know I guess I I guess I've gotta kill him stop now I know you will withhold anything now you gonna get more than you even bargained for you and I got to know where we allow our faith in our works to work together it becomes an unstoppable combination that are not only reveals to us what God can do but it also can reveal our heart to what others can see because see understand this that Isaac was there on the altar he was like yo what's going on dad's about to kill me but then all of a sudden II heard the voice uh-uh-uh you ain't got to do it you have to understand that our faith working with actions will be a major way that somebody may know God because they're gonna see his power demonstrated in our life God is using us to demonstrate his power but we've got to allow our faith in our works to come together you can't have one without the other maybe you've seen that I've been you know making cakes and Megan likes cakes and you know I love to get in there and bake I haven't baked in a very very long time and what I've noticed is that you know when you have that cake box you got to follow the ingredients if I were to take the eggs and just try to make a cake by itself it ain't gonna happen if I take that oil and I try to make a cake just with that oil it ain't gonna happen if I take that water and I try to make a kick out of that water and gonna happen if I just take the the dry mix and I try to make a cake out of that mix it gonna happen in order for that cake to become what the box promises I've got to combine that faith with that action I like to combine all of the recipes together I've got to mix those recipe I've got a mixed suit I got to combine all the ingredients together I've got to mix it up according to the recipe I've got to put it into the oven and then I've got to let it do what it's designed to do who I'm talking to somebody right now when you combine the ingredients that God has given you an eye for success the two ingredients are faith and works and when you and I combine those things all we have to do is combine those things and then give God the time to let the combination of faith and works do what it's designed to do too often we are impatient we want what we want now we don't want to wait on the Lord we don't want to wait on things to manifest if I put a cake in the oven and I don't wait for it to do what it's designed to do I'm gonna mess it up the moment I go in there if it's too soon if I'm impatient it's been not only is it cain't gonna fall it may never those ingredients may never come together according to their design why because once those ingredients come together you've got to give it time you've got to give it time some of you are trying to rush the process on the box of that cake says this is what this will look like if you do what the instructions say he said he would give us life and we would have it more abundantly if we would do what the instructions say some of our lives do not look like what we've been promised not because the recipe isn't good but we're not one putting in the right ingredients and two we're not giving it time to do what it's designed to do faith plus works is alive but it may take some time in order for what you're believing and what you're working for to manifest the scriptures say you will win if you do not quit some of you you're getting too discouraged because you don't see it just because you don't see it doesn't mean it's not happening if you believe in his word whatever you're in faith over and whatever you're allowing your action to support if you believe in his word then you got to give it time be persistent be consistent stay committed some of you you you you're committed for a week and then you fall back I'm talking to somebody tonight some of you you're persistent for for a season and then you lose your persistence some of you you you wake up and you're disciplined for a day and then all the sudden it goes out the window I don't know who I'm talking to right now but if you really are putting works with your faith you've got to give it time stay persistent stay consistent stay committed to the process I don't know who I'm talking to you tonight I don't know who I'm talking to tonight our time is almost over the last part of this text verse 22 James 2 verse 22 James 2 verse 24 you see that a person is justified by what they do and not by faith alone justified means that there is evidence of their relationship with God so when you look at it this way you see that a person has evidence of their relationship with God by what they do and not just by faith alone I don't know about you but I want the evidence that I have a relationship with God to be a parent in everything that I do I don't want any area in my life to not be evident that I have a relationship with him when we combine works with faith it says that we become justified that means when our works align with our faith it shows greater evidence of our relationship with him I don't know who I'm talking to tonight but I pray that you would begin to use these ingredients I pray that you would begin to talk less and do more I pray that you would begin to take accountability and responsibility for what you are supposed to believe and what you are supposed to do and I have no doubt in my mind without fear of successful contradiction that if you begin to do this tonight how do you do it tonight make a list of what you got to do tomorrow tonight before you go to bed make a list I got to do this this this this make your to-do list do it tonight don't say I'm gonna do it in the morning don't put off tomorrow what you can do today write it down make the list begin to put some action behind your faith and I have no doubt if you would begin to apply this just do it for the next week and let's see what happens next time we come together next Wednesday let's see what God does let's just see what he does let's just take him at his word let's put some more work behind our faith and let's see what God does in the next week y'all you know how I do it I could I could I could go all night I get excited about the word my social media manager my director of digital she was like divine you need to keep your sense to you know 35 to 40 minutes I tried but oh boy I get in this word and the word is good were praying for Johnny we're praying for his healing dear Laura we're praying that he would be delivered even now that he would begin to feel better we just speak against the virus if there's anyone watching who has the virus or they know someone who has the virus we just come against the virus in the name of Jesus by your stripes our Heavenly Father by the stripes of Jesus anyone who has the virus we're just claiming their healing dear Lord we are praying right now that their breathing would return that their fever would go down that their smell of the sense of smell and taste would return we're just praying for a complete healing right now we're also praying for anyone dealing with cancer or any other difficult disease we're praying for healing we're praying right now dear Lord that if you have cancer if someone's listening right now and you have cancer we're just praying for your healing right now we're praying that the pain would subside would praying that your blood cells work according to their Divine Design we just with a butte cancer in the name of Jesus I also prayed airily father if there's someone watching it needs a financial breakthrough I'm just praying or you would just send the resources I also pray that you would put on their mind who they may need to reach out to who you've already told them that if they call that the money is there so I just pray you would tell them who to reach out to and I also prayed that knowing you would send resources their way I pray for anyone discouraged in the dream you've given them that they would be encouraged tonight and they would know dear Lord that faith plus works is the winning combination and I believe that everyone listening to this live right now was destined to win so grateful Lord that we could come
