she galvanized me Steady like steel a primer is basically a weapon with high fire rate and high status and multi-shot makes that all even better now those are generally speaking the three traits that you want most out of them in theory any weapon can technically be a primer to a certain degree if they can inflict status but not all weapons are made equal and some are just by default suited to this and even come with statuses packed into the weapon from the get-go so let's talk about what a primer is and how to generally build them for big damage if you like this video and you want to see more please don't forget to like And subscribe thank you so much now before we get all up into the builds we have to talk about the mods which enable this to be used in a wide variety of weapons these are in shorthand called condition overload for all melee weapons and gunzio for all other weapons all the Gun Co mods are galvanized aptitude for rifles galvanized Savvy for shotguns and galvanized shot for pistols all of these mods give 80 same status chance and the secondary effect being the Gun Co gets activated when you get a kill with the weapon each of them give a 40 boost to additive base damage per status effect on the enemy the two primary variants can stack this effect twice making it 80 additive base damage per status and the pistol variant can be stacked three times making it a hundred and twenty percent additive base damage increase per status effect the melee weapon variant of these mods is simply called condition overload and it has no activate condition to be met it is simply active at all times and also gives 80 percent increased additive base damage per status effect on the enemy so these are the mods that give every type of weapon in the game condition overload now all we need to do is talk about how to get multiple statuses on an enemy for this to actually be useful and this is where primers become a thing so for the purposes of not making this video an hour long I'm going to only be talking slightly about the kubernucor the phantasma the zorus the Epitaph and the senoid gamma core because these weapons basically cover all types of primer you get in the game now when going about building a primer the parameters I try to hit is high status High fire rate multi-shot and duration and for the actual statuses the ones that I consistently try to hit is heat and viral heat because it strips 50 percent of an enemy's armor effectively increasing your damage and viral because at 10 Stacks it increases your damage by 325 percent now this is a straight up increase to damage against Health even if the unit has armor this effect works because an armor unit still has Health the health just has damage reductions applied to it through armor but at the end of the day it is still health and viral still works I saw someone in my comment section quite confused about that once so I thought I'd just clear it up here so again viral is a straight up damage increase and it can be much further supplemented by of course almond strip hence the Heat and in a lot of cases a full armor strip like westerlock or a Niro so in summary this is usually what I try to hit status chance fire rate multi-shot viral and heat now let's talk a bit about status charts status chance is a percentage value basically stating that if you have for example 40 status chance and heat is a status on your gun you have 40 chance to inflict the heat status block on your enemy now if you have 140 status chance and heat is a status on your gun you have 100 chance to inflict the heat status block on your enemy and an additional 40 chance to inflict a second heat proc on your enemy in just one hit now let's say you have two statuses modded on your primer viral and heat and you have 140 status chance and let's say the number for simplicity's sake is 30 viral and 70 Heat this is what we like to call Elemental weighting so in this example heat has 70 percent weighting and viral has 30 ain't waiting this means that this is the status proc priority so every time you procure status that status has a 70 chance to be a heat proc and a 30 chance to be a viral proc you can change this weighting by simply adding more heat or more viral type mods into your build to boost the weighting to give certain statuses priority depending on your build now let's talk about fire rate fire rate for obvious reasons is very important because you want the process of priming to be quick and easy you can freely slot mods like anemic agility that decrease your damage but heavily increases your fire rate because a primer is not for damage it is for damage supplementation meaning that this weapon's only job is to inflict as many statuses as possible in the shortest amount of time to boost the power of the weapon that actually is modded for big damage next let's talk about multi-shot this stat is one of the most broken stats in the game that's why we don't have a ton of ways to boost it but if you can and you probably should the purpose of multi-shot in a primer is as the name suggests to make every shot you do be a multiple bullet shot so as an example if your multi-shot is 2.8 this means that you will with every shot have a 100 chance to shoot two bullets and an 80 chance that's the 0.8 to shoot a third bullet so a good example again is if you have 140 status chance and heat is modded onto your weapon with a 2.8 multi-shot this effectively means that you have a hundred percent chance to shoot out two bullets that each have a hundred percent chance to inflict a heat status block and each has a 40 chance to inflict another heat status proc meaning potentially four heat procs with one bullet and then it has an 80 chance that's the 0.8 to shoot out an additional bullet that has 100 chance to inflict the heat status Pro and a 40 chance to inflict an additional heat status Brock if you were keeping count that's a potential of three bullets per shot that have a chance to inflict six statuses in total with one pull of the trigger now with a boosted fire rate this can become crazy really quickly now for duration the reason I often mod this is purely ease of use sometimes the unexpected happens and the demoless nullifies your Buffs and you have to reapply them duration ensures that your priming will still be valid that simple finally let's talk about the strongest Arcane you can possibly have on any secondary primer it's a big shame that this Arcane is not available for primaries but what you're going to do so secondary encumber has a 24 chance to apply a second random status effect when you apply a status effect now sadly this does not apply to status over 100 percent nor does it apply to multi-shot over 100 but there is some wiggle room meaning if you have the same setup with the 140 status chance heat and 2.8 multi-shot this will give you 100 chance to inflict heat now when that heat is inflicted there is a 24 chance to proc another random status effect if encumber does not proc and your 40 second heat proc triggers this does not roll another incumber chance again but the roll does work again off multi-shot so if your second bullet from your multi-shot proxy heat status incumber has another chance to proc now for the inverse let's pretend that the first bullets 100 heat proc activated incumber and it inflicted a second random status your additional multi-shot Now does not try to activate encumber again incumber is a once per shot Activation so you can only ever proc one in combo per shot fired multi-shock just gives you better odds this works the same on the kuva new core chaining to multiple enemies let's say three enemies are hit with one kuvan you go shot only one of those three enemies can have incumber add an extra random status to them not all three ever okay we are past the very mathy part for now and if you have any more questions please ask down below hope you made it through now let's do some primer examples and builds for you to use and try out you can of course swap any of the Elementals out and around to suit your needs in any way you need but for now let's jump into them and for the demonstration purposes today we will use my favorite nikana the Dragon ikana for the first primer the kubernucor the objectively best one out of the lot and for the build we hit all the parameters I mentioned earlier for status chance we have Sure Shot for a 90 status chance boost and Scorch for the Dual stat heat mod for 60 status chance boost and of course heat for that 50 armor strip we have pistol pestilence and Frostbite to combine to make viral and combine additive two times sixty percent status chance boost the new core comes with an innate radiation and I had a combined progenitor of magnetic for the combined element why magnetic you may ask it's because you never really mod magnetic onto your build by default so it's purely for condition overload and also big reason because it's combined it does not interfere with any additional modded elements this all brings up the new course status chance to 185 percent meaning 100 chance to inflict either heat radiation magnetic or viral and an 85 chance to inflict an additional one of those statuses very nice for fire rate we have lethal torrent and anemic agility this is very self-explanatory but just as a note we don't mind about anemic agility costing us damage because this weapon is not built for damage just status application for multi-shot we have Barrel diffusion and lethal torrent again and this is why lethal torrent is such a great mod because it gives you two of the most important stats in Warframe period and then lastly we have Perpetual Agony for the status duration to keep our statuses on the enemy for longer making the ease of use Skyrocket I do have eject magazine in the Excellence because the new core is very annoying to reload since it takes forever at a whole two seconds reload unacceptable so this mod just ensures that I never have to reload this weapon and it's just always ready for action the new also comes with a unique built-in effect of microwave meaning it will increase the size of whatever you are firing at if you fire at the head the head will balloon up in size making it easier to hit again very nice and that's it for the new core next for the Epitaph this is the only real competition the kuvan Yuko has in terms of just raw Effectiveness but it can be incredibly frustrating to use if you don't have status immunity or primes your footed because this guy can stun lock you with the explosion size for the build as you can see it is identical to the new core the difference is it has forced cold rocks and blast instead of radiation and magnetic light Manuka it performs just as well as the new core with slightly different application in terms of a more broad AOE application compared to the new cause more focused application but like I said I see these two primers as almost equal in every way new core is just a little bit better due to the actual fire rate and the microwave effect next up the sineyard gamako one of my personal favorites I was really hoping the Incarnate form was going to be more like an Epitaph but we just got a sad suck instead which is sad but anyway this category is basically precision based primers for zata's whisper enjoyers other good weapons in this category for example are historic Spectra and the Cyclone for example and surprise surprise we have the same exact build as the previous two I hope you are starting to see a pattern here viral and heat hard to beat I know that line rhymes and I'm just not gonna remove it because I actually frankly quite like it the gamma core comes with an innate magnetic as well so technically has one less status to proc when compared to the new core or the Epitaph but that is very quickly addressed by encumber as you can see right here not super much to say about this this is a very focused beam new core and I basically only ever use it when I run zardo's whisper for head priming which to be fair is quite a lot next up is the fantasma the phage or galaxian Vandal is also really good year for primary gun priming but talking about the fantasma now this build is what I use for priming the status chance might seem low at 42 percent but consider the fact that the phantasma has 15 multi-shot with this build and fires incredibly fast and reloads almost instantly after considering that it won't take you very long to realize the power of this weapon as both a damage dealer and a primer equally we have Savvy and motor setup for status chance bringing the status innately up to 42 percent and even more when you activate motor setup meaning that every shot in the 11 round magazine fires 15 rounds and it takes about 1.5 seconds to empty a magazine that means that in 1.5 seconds you have fired 165 rounds into an enemy each with 42 percent plus status chance yes that is insane the phantasma if you didn't know is a crazy good weapon our elements as always are heat and viral and the phantasma has built-in impact which yes does counter status and radiation I can really not recommend the phantasma enough I have lingering torment on for the status duration to keep those statuses on and live and acceleration for the beam length now if you are wondering if modus and savvy are enough status chance have a look at this and just see how much I proc and lastly the zorus this is very Niche and I only use this if I can't fit a primer anywhere else but this does the job fine so first thing first why the zorus well it's a glaive and glaves can bounce and with volatile rebound it explodes on each bounce acting like a kind of Throne Epitaph the zorus has the highest range of all glaves at a 8 to 9 explode radius depending on whether or not it is a charge throw or not to give you an idea the Epitaph covers 8 meters radius so the zorus is right there with the coverage and lastly why the zorus is because it has infinite combo duration meaning weeping Woods is a great addition on it since it's basically a permanent status boost of 440 percent and that gives you a 97.2 percent status chance with just weeping wounds at 12x combo alone and with our additional mods this brings it up to 141.2 percent and the zores being a glaive bounces up to times that is four instances of damage slash explosions and they all apply status in an AOE and these AOE applications can overlap with each other if enemies are close together for the ball we have melee prowess for a 90 status chance boost and Volcanic Edge for the 60 status chance boost and the heat for armor strip then we have virulent Scourge and vicious Frost to make viral and the two times sixty percent status chance boosts lasting sting for the status duration to again keep those statuses on and live heavy attack wind-up speed from killing blow to increase the speed for the throw volatile rebound for the 100 chance to explode with each bounce and then weeping wounds for the 440 boost to status chance at 12x combo which you will reach easily we don't have the attack with this build so you won't be losing that status chance enjoy now that about does it for the weapons and the explanations I hope this helped you with understanding primers fully and please ask in the comments down below if you need any more info on the matter there are many more weapons that I could have covered in this video but that would unnecessarily bloat this video there are a lot of ways that you can change your weapon into a primer but I think I covered most of the use cases if you have some hidden op Tech that you want to bring to the community please share down below and I might even make a video on it if you want me to in any case I hope this was helpful and that's about it stay safe out there and see you in the next one thank you so much for watching that was a lot
