normal types usually have very well rounded stats at the cost of never really being the best at any one task this could make it really tough to beat a hardcore nuzlocke where any pokemon that faints is boxed forever no items from the bag are allowed in battle set mode is mandatory and i can't level past the next gym leader now you look ready for anything no mom i look like a soundcloud rapper had a kid with a german tourist now listen if i were a real normie my starter would be rowlet but we can't have that at all so instead i search for the first normal type i can find on route 1 which ends up being a picky pack and piggy peck is probably the optimal pickup right here in fact if we would have gotten anything else i would have probably reset a few times just to get it having a jolly nature on top of that is going to come in real handy as well uh why are you sunbathing at night now because route 1 is so massive in alola we don't get a lot of pokemon in the early game but in holy city we can get ourselves a fur frow and fur coat is a surprisingly good ability taking only half damage from physical moves now there are a couple reasons why picky peck is a must-have from route 1 and alima is one of these reasons this guy is a notorious nuzlocke ender and while he pretends to be a normie we all know that that's not quite true if this fashionista claims to be alola's greatest normie i'm gonna have to introduce him to my weird shorts and non-matching bucket hat regardless elimah's strategy so far has been going for lear to lower my defenses and i've been desperately using the rock smash to get some defense drops of my own to no avail however after elima goes for a potion we get to freely use rock smash twice in a row taking out the young goose which means we're only left with smeargle and after having been layered twice a stab tackle does a huge amount of damage but an oranberry gets me back above half failing to get a defense drop with rock smash once again i have to swap out into poodle who takes nothing at all from a tackle because of that fur coat ability because of that i can easily finish up the smeargle with another couple tackles deciding once and for all who is the greatest normie of alola at this stage in the run my life was about to improve a lot on route 2 allow me to introduce you to my favorite pokemon dunsparse now while dunsparce is a normal type it's no normie pic of a favorite pokemon and if you're still on the fence about dunsparce allow this run to be a lesson in the value of this perfect specimen to start things off the serene grace ability is absolutely insane doubling the chance that move's secondary effects occur but before we give dunsparce it's time in the spotlight it's time for the main reason why pikapeq is so essential for the early game you see not only does it get rock smash by level up which is quite effective against the totem raticate we can also find the tm for brick break within the trial itself and because of my jolly nature i out speed the raticate and almost take it out in one hit despite its defense boost i do however get scary-faced which means that both my opponents out-speed but an oranberry gets me back up above half and i can take out the raticate with another brick break that ornberry ended up being very meaningful as well since the rat attack can hit me with a pursuit before i get to take it out with a third brick break with the first trial out of the way we can move on to route three where i pick myself up a spearow and bird number two here isn't exactly anything special but anything that we can get that gives us a better matchup against fighting types is definitely welcome by me speaking of which upon reaching level 14 bird number one evolves into trombike which is extremely good timing since our next opponent is going to be the fighting type kahuna holla having such a terrible matchup this early in the game is definitely scary especially since i don't even get the one hit ko with pluck but the matchup just ends up going for a focus energy so another pluck is enough to take it out which means we're left facing makuhita after getting flinched i realize the potential that this makuhita has for damage output is way less than that of machop so i decided to set up a couple of workups against it however after setting up my second workup the makahita gets a four hit arm thrust which does activate my orenberry but i don't think it's safe to keep going for workups anymore thus i go for a plus two pluck which is obviously gonna be enough to take out the makuhita leaving only hala's crew brawler i figure pluck will take it out but it survives on about 1 hp hitting me with its z move and unfortunately that's definitely going to be enough to take out bird you were so close buddy krebrawler being so low of health is actually really bad since hollow's immediately gonna go for a potion the next turn a couple of power-up punches here and i would definitely be a gunner but for some reason hala goes for a lear here as i get in my second aerial ace he then goes for another lear i don't know maybe he's feeling particularly generous today what can i say we managed to get the win now even though we can leave melly milly island at this point we gotta pick up our next encounter at 10 karat hill a spinda spind is one of those weird old pokemon that they created and didn't give it a gimmick or niche but it exists and we've got it our next encounter is on route 4 and here we can either find a very rare five percent eevee or we end up finding a lillapup i immediately get dog to evolve into a hurdyear and with that intimidate ability this thing is going to be incredibly useful then at paniola ranch we can get either a miltank or a tauros which i was very excited to see because this thing also has intimidate and getting just one mon with intimidate in your nuzlocke can be so helpful but having two is gonna be insane gladion calling me a normie isn't exactly unexpected since the guy's an absolute edgelord but i still had to show him who's bus and humiliate him then getting everybody ready for the second trial upon reaching level 20 bird 2 evolves into firo and this means it's time to take on the second trial versus totem araquanid a pokemon that can be very difficult to beat because it's so powerful with its water bubble ability and it's got rain on top of that not wanting to get hit by a very powerful bug bite i go for baby doll eyes after intimidate but it just ends up going for bubble in the rain after which it calls in its ally pokemon dewpider since i'm in range of being knocked out here i swap out into bull who also gets an intimidate on both the pokemon but they both end up using bubble which actually does a ton of damage because of water bubble and the rain i get a bit of health back with my ornberry and one horn attack is enough to take out the dewpider clean in one shot the oranberry was definitely needed though because another bubble leaves me at just 7 hp so i obviously have to swap out into poodle the araquanid does have aurora beam which is the reason i can't just swap in firo and start going for aerial aces so after pathetically doing a bit more damage with a second headbutt another bubble leaves me at just five hp as iraq when it is now at low enough health to call in masqueraine being so low on health i have to swap out and i go into tipsy who gets hit by a bug bite from mass grain which does get rid of my ornberry and an aurora beam doesn't do too much from the araquanid benda then actually does something useful and puts iraqi to sleep with hypnosis this is a game state i have to capitalize on and i immediately swap out into bird 2 as mass grain misses a stun spore an aerial ace isn't quite enough to take out the araquanid but amazingly the masquerade misses another stun spore as we can then take out the araquanid with another aerial ace masquerade eventually suffers the same fate which means we've beaten the second trial and in doing so we get access to route 6 where we could get unlucky and find an eevee but we end up finding the much more common igly buff listen don't tell jigglypuff but this thing is so bad and it's true aside from a couple intimidators and the awesome dunsparce we need some better pokemon and running into a kangaskhan instead of the useless fletchling is definitely a welcome addition to the team especially since we now have to take on what's definitely the toughest trial so far one of the things that makes kiawe's trial so tough is that you have to go up against a bunch of pokemon before facing the totem pokemon this means that we not only have to face this speed boosted ghost type but we also have to go into the fight with pretty low health on hertier and so after getting off and intimidate i have to swap out right away since of course this marowak knows brick break but after getting to minus two after two intimidates it doesn't do too much damage to tauros once marowak calls in its ally pokemon selazal i go ahead and swap out into poodle he takes a torment from the salazzle and then of course a brick break from the marowak that doesn't do too much because it's at -2 and we've got the fur coat i decide to use baby doll eyes with poodle to lower marowak's attack further before surviving on 7 hp and since i can't go for baby doll eyes again because of torment unfortunately poodle goes down hudo's sacrifice at least lets me send in bull to get off another intimidate to get marowak to -4 as it goes for a detect and i can hit selazo with a horn attack doing over half damage then being knocked down to just 12 hp though i send in bird 2 who gets hit hard by both a flame burst and a brick break so i can't really stay in and swap out into tipsy at least the marowak goes for detect on the switch and solazzle almost hits me down to half of the flame burst i then get hit by a torment which is gonna allow me to survive a brick break on just 6 hp but i end up missing my hypnosis so much for being useful this time tipsy unfortunately that is the end for spinda having a third of my team knocked out and the rest of my pokemon at very low health i have no choice but to send in tsuchinoko the dunsparce and go for ancient power and with that serene grace tsuchinoko manages to pull off the 20 omni boost the selazal then hits me with a torment and even a brick break from marowak at this point is doing very little despite being super effective at the end of the turn i hid an ancient power which is enough to take out the salazzle the next turn because of torment i can't go for ancient power so i hit the marowak with a yawn however this was pretty much necessary as another brick break leaves me in the red and after going for an ancient power and getting some leftovers recovery the marowak falls asleep once again torment is a pain here and i have to go for a very sub-optimal iron tail which barely does anything i'm then struck with another annoying roadblock as my next ancient power gets cursed bodied which means i can't use it anymore so after going for another iron tail since i can't go for it again after the marowak wakes up and goes for a brick break i just hit it with a yawn even though i didn't know if it was going to wake up or not this ends up once again being necessary since a brick break leaves me at 2 hp and i happen to miss my iron tail but at least i'm no longer disabled and at this point the marowak is asleep meaning that i can go for my final ancient power taking out the marowak and winning the trial but at a very steep cost having our team get pretty wrecked by kiawi's trial means we definitely need some new pokemon and after collecting enough totem stickers samson oak actually just gives us the totem raticate which happens to be a normal dark type we can also head over to route 8 where our possible encounters are either young goose or stuffel and i end up encountering the latter not only is it awesome to have a fighting type on the team but the fluffy ability is pretty much the same as fur coat after that i took on the grass trial but all it took was lowering lorantis attack taking care of kecleon using leer to lower defense and going for the one shot and beating the grass trial actually gives us access to a very important encounter orang guru in the lush jungle it's not gonna come in handy right away but once it learns moves like calm mind and nasty plot stored power could really be a viable strategy in the future and with all the island trials of akala out of the way it's time to take on the island's kahuna olivia and the rock type resisting normal makes this a pretty tricky matchup and for that reason i obviously came in with a plan starting off with intimidate and then going for as many baby doll eyes as possible to get it down to -6 attack before swapping out into tsuchi noco bug bite is at this point doing very little damage especially after leftovers recovery but i do end up going for a yawn since it's now time to use all five of my ancient powers to try and fish for boosts and i end up getting one the first turn olivia uses a full heal right away here and the second ancient power leaves anarith in the red not getting the boost which prompts olivia to use a potion but i just go for another yawn here bug bite once again does pitiful damage as i hit a third ancient power and end up getting one more omniboost because of this i outspeed and i can only use a fourth ancient power which doesn't get the boost but it does not matter i can go for the final one versus leap and unfortunately i don't end up getting the omni boost but statistically i should only be getting one out of the five anyway so i'll definitely take the two unfortunately though plus two attack is not quite enough to take out the leap as it then hits me with a giga drain i then end up missing an iron tail but it's okay since the next turn we can use one to take out the leap leaving only olivia's lychen rock with the boost i out speed but one iron tail is not quite enough to take out the lykan rock which means i am gonna get hit by the continental crush but dunsparce being at plus two ends up surviving on just 20 hp after which i can use body slam finishing off lycanrock and beating olivia listen if this fight means i lost the shot with the girl of my dreams at least i've still got the love of my life my journey then takes me to ulaula island where in mali city we can actually go ahead and catch a mincino and this thing is one of my favorite pokemon from gen 5 that you rarely get to use then before the fifth trial i decided to level up the team a little bit evolving bear into beware and dog into stoutland despite todamaru being a steel type which resists normal after swapping back and forth between my intimidators a bit i could freely take it out with a few bulldozes and skarmory with a brick break did you two know anything listen just because how and i enjoy shows like friends in the office doesn't mean we're stupid the sixth trial we have to face is versus totem mimikyu yet another bad matchup for us since mimikyu is a ghost type however since it's a physical attacker i lead with bold just to get an intimidate off to lower its attack and then after tanking a play rough i go for a bulldoze to break its disguise but that also lets us lower its speed once that disguise is broken toneo mimikyu calls for its ally pokemon the very annoying banette since this thing is also a physical attacker i go ahead and swap into dog to get yet another intimidate to lower both of their attack as a playroof doesn't do too much damage now at -2 but i do end up getting burned i take the chance to go for priority babydoll eyes to lower mimikyu's attack further as another play rough and faint attack together with the burn gets me low enough to where i definitely have to swap out once again into bull to lower their attack with intimidate bull ends up tanking a playroof and the faint attack very well at just below half hp and an iron head doesn't quite do half the banette as i'm then hit by a player up from mimikyu and a screech from banette which means i definitely have to swap out at this point i send in kangaroo who barely takes any damage from a play rough and the banette goes for willowis but i managed to dodge it and proc my quickclaw the next turn taking out the banette with a single irontail then after getting hit by another play rough at the end of the turn i go ahead and swap out into bird 2. i start going for leers because once again if i get mimikyu to low enough health it is going to call in its ally pokemon jealousand so i figure i'll capitalize on the fact that mimikyu is so low on attack and use as many layers as i can get away with and then swap out into bear a slash would have done pretty much nothing even as a critical hit because of my fluffy ability and an iron head is enough to take out the mimikyu after all those defense drops welcome back normie i can check your pictures right away oh but normie there's nothing special but ugh what did i expect oh my if it isn't normie where might you be off to listen you caught me in my airpods going to starbucks one time and for the rest of my life everybody keeps calling me with all the trials on hulu out of the way it's time to take on the grand trial versus nanu he leads out with a sableye which i have no difficulty taking out with three crunches things only start to get a bit more interesting when he sends in his croc rock which intimidates rat so i have to swap out into bird 2 to dodge an earthquake i then pivot out into dog who this way won't ever be hit by an earthquake and i get often intimidated as i get hit by a swagger since being confused is not ideal i go ahead and swap out into bowl which also gets us another intimidate to further lower crock-rock's attack as i get hit by an earthquake then expecting the crocorc to go for a swagger again to confuse tauros i swap out back into dog just to get another intimidate now that i'm confused it's not going to go for swagger again which means i can freely swap out into bear and because of all the attack drops the earthquake barely does any damage the crocorc then predictably goes for swagger an interaction for which i was specifically prepared with a person berry which means i now just have a free plus two and can take both it and the persian out with a plus two brick break each see you nanu at this stage we've gotten to the big bad of the edgelord's guzma himself now all three fights versus this guy were fairly difficult but i tackled them all with the same strategy and this third time was by far the most dramatic to start off the pokemon he always leads with golisopod is a threat in and of itself to handle this thing i start off by sending in dog to get an intimidate and just to get around the first impression i use protect the first turn since he can't use it again after that i then make sure to use babydoll eyes until i'm at low enough health where i have to swap out and i go into bear and i only do this so that i can further babydoll eyes down to minus six although i probably could have stopped at minus five since sending in bull would have gotten it to -6 anyway with intimidate either way the plan from here is to use the pretty pathetic setup move workup to get as many attack boosts as possible i get to plus 4 before deciding to attack and a sucker punch actually gets me down to just 14 hp before rockslide leaves golisapod in the red sending it out with emergency exit now this is kinda risky since i could miss a rockslide but fortunately i connect and take out the pincer in one hit guzma then sends in mass grain which does have an intimidate of its own but since i can outspeed a quad effective rock slide is enough to take it out which means guzma now sends in his galysapod again since first impression is now live i have to swap out into bear now i could easily just take glycopod out with bear here but that would leave me in a very bad position versus his final pokemon vika vault so i start out by just going for a few baby doll eyes and once again swapping in bowl at this point golisapod is completely out of razor shells so i can freely set up workup but what i didn't know is that it's completely out of moves all together so as i go for my second workup he swaps in his vikabolt this isn't really a problem though since plus two is still enough to take it out and me thinking that this thing still has first impression i swap out and a bear but the eagle isopod just ends up taking itself out from recoil with struggle who's the normie now edgelord the next big fight in the game is loosamine and she is notoriously difficult so we definitely have to prepare well the first order of business being to evolve igly buff into jigglypuff and then immediately into wigglytuff i then made sure to rearrange my team to have the perfect setup to take on this crazy lady it's time to face lusamine leading off with a fully special clefable this is gonna be monkey's time to shine already at base monkey special defense is so good that we only take about a fourth from hypervoice after which i can set up my first calm mind then after getting some leftovers recovery i make sure to go for protect every other turn to maximize how much recovery we can get from leftovers i then repeat this process for as long as it takes to get to plus six special attack and special defense then once it's time to attack of course the clefable manages to get a critical hit hypervoice getting me almost down to half but a stored power is definitely enough to one shot at this point lucymine then sends in liligant and i go for protect just to get some recovery here but since it went for petal dance it is very unfortunate that it goes for teeter dance the next turn confusing me however monkey manages to pull through using stored power to take out the liligant being confused here i wasn't sure if i was going to stay in versus my lodic or not but seeing the damage from the first hydro pump it did barely anything and on top of that i managed to break through confusion the very first turn dealing with my lodic in one shot i don't really want to try my confusion luck further against beware plus i've already taken care of all of lusamine's specially based pokemon so i quickly swap in a dog for the intimidate before swapping in balloon who tanks a zen headbutt fairly poorly beware then misses a zen headbutt and i can get off a toxic and since bewear is such a threat to the team being a fighting type i really need all the residual damage i can get i then make a quick switch into bull to get another intimidate and zen headbutt is doing very little at this point with all the attack drops i'm accumulating i then swap in balloon again who has to tank another zen headbutt but mostly just to get some additional toxic damage before swapping out once again into monkey the drain punch does a decent amount of damage recovering beware just enough health to not die from the poison and so just to stall out the final turn of poison i swap into bowl to get a final intimidate so that it won't do too much damage and a zen headbutt does some pretty pathetic damage before beware just succumbs to the poison her final pokemon is her low punny with all the elemental punches and dizzy punch i swap into dog for the intimidate and then into taurus to do the exact same thing but after getting confused from a dizzy punch my teammate looking so hot once again pinned into a corner i go ahead and swap in dunsparce who gets hit by a thunder punch she then hits me with a fire punch for good measure as i connect with a yawn another fire punch gets me down below half health as i go for a coil to up both my attack defense and accuracy and lopunny then falls asleep i then go for a body slam but it's not quite enough to do half to low punny so the next turn is lopany snoozes i decide to go for another coil to set up my attack i'm now strong enough to take her out but she gets the burn with fire punch however i can now out speed since she gets paralyzed from body slam but she gets cute charm so i'm not left with much choice since my team is looking particularly damaged it all comes down to if dunsparce picks me or low punny and obviously the chosen one breaks through the spell of this wretched rabbit and destroys lusamine once and for all hey at least lily looks like more of a normie than i do but here's the thing we're certainly not out of the woods yet since upon reaching pony island we have to take on the dragon trial and not only do we have to face a dragon with an omni boost it also happens to be a fighting type so after neutralizing its attack boost with intimidate i go for a baby doll eyes to get komo to -1 attack after which it hits me with a dragon claw that doesn't do too much damage and then it calls in northern but since it doesn't want to use fighting type moves for some reason i go ahead and stay in as i get dragon clawed and screeched and unfortunately miss a toxic everything's still going to plan however so i swap in bull to get another intimidate to lower kamoa's attack further as it just hits me with a dragon claw but boom burst does considerably more damage taking me below half i then continue to do the dance swapping in dog to get yet another intimidate lowering camo's attack further as i now finally get hit by a drain punch which activates my chapel berry not doing too much damage boom burst however does quite a number leaving me at just 31 hp prompting me to swap out into monkey the very next turn and monkey takes almost nothing from a dream punch and since it's got goated special defense not even a dragon pulse does that much i think kind of make a mistake here opting to go for calm mind instead of toxic this turn honestly there's not much i gained from doing this but i opt to go for protect the turn after just to get as much leftovers back as possible the following turn i do what i should have just done in the first place and after tanking a dragon claw and a boom burst just barely i managed to land that toxic i obviously then go for a protect the next turn to maximize toxic damage before swapping out into balloon i do this expecting a dragon claw which i'm of course immune to and the boom burst doesn't do too much since wigglytuff is fairly specially defensive then after protecting for more toxic damage i get hit by a drain punch really expecting a poison jab which is why i have a poison reducing berry an air slash then takes me down deep into the yellow as i use a dazzling gleam which the komo of course has a berry for but it does put it in a range where toxic is enough to take it out this neuron is definitely still a problem though since all my pokemon are now at pretty low health i unfortunately had to sacrifice bird too just to get a safe switch in i do this to freely swap in bear who's holding a coba berry in case the northern goes for an air slash but it just ends up going for screech so i can use dragon claw that you find inside the trial taking it out winning us the seventh trial i then have to watch about a hundred hours of cutscenes before it's time to face the dumbest boss in all of pokemon nuzlocking seriously i don't think i've ever gotten through the alternate chroma boss fight without losing a single pokemon but this time i was determined to do so but getting through a fight with a legendary pokemon at level 60 with all its stats boosted is a lot easier said than done i start by using fake out with kangaroo who's then gonna have to eat a photon geyser taking it down to one hp with its focus sash that i can then go for toxic i'm then obviously gonna go for protect to maximize the toxic damage i can do before immediately swapping out into oren guru who can actually tank a photon geyser since it's resisted i then of course go for another protect for more damage but now knowing it's gonna go for dragon pulse i can easily just swap into wigglytuff who's immune to it then all i have to do is click protect and watch as alternate chrosma's health bar reaches zero before any of my pokemon this actually started a bit of a pony island roll since once i had to face robonby all i had to do was toxic it with wigglytuff and protect for a few turns swap around and eventually just have it go down and hapu is subsequently easily trampled as well with that said there is still one edge lord standing in my way to get to the elite four and that is of course gladion and the real roadblock here is that this guy now has a lucario on his team so i start out by intimidating crobat and then immediately missing a stone edge i do connect with the second one but it's not quite enough to take out the crowbath so the next turn i go for protect just to get as much leftovers recovery back as possible this does end up topping me off over half hp which means i can survive another acrobatics and take out the crowbar with an iron head gladion then of course sends in his lucario so i immediately swap out into balloon who's gonna have to take an aurosphere i make this switch to guarantee that lucario's gonna go for metal claw as i swap out into bear because of fluffy this does barely any damage at all and then when i get hit by an oar sphere the next turn which would guaranteed take me out i can use a chapel berry to weaken the damage and then just take out the lucario with a brick break the rest of his team really wasn't that big a deal and i'm glad we're done with this edgelord forever it's finally time to prepare for the elite four and even though we can capture ourselves at grandpa it's not that good a pokemon and isn't going to make the cut on the team somehow instead i make my way to pony path where i can pick up a shiny stone and thus evolve menchino into chinchino this means that the final team ended up being our intimidating dog with ironhead playroof firefang and thunderfang our other intimidator bull with stone edge iron head workup and giga impact rat the totemiest of boys with u-turn double-edged sword stance and crunch our newest team member technician chinchilla with encore rock blast bullet seat and tail slap bear the bewear with super power shadow claw thunder punch and workup and finally his grace dunsparce the most serene of creatures with ancient power coil body slam and yawn and thus it's time to take on the elite four and i decided to take on acerola first neither of us has a particularly good matchup with ghost versus normal i only decided to take her on first because i came up with a pretty decent strategy since banette is a pretty weak pokemon we can use it as setup fodder but to do that we have to first go for intimidates to lower its attack as much as possible before sending in chinchilla she unfortunately has her defense lowered by screech the first turn and i then go for tail slap just hoping it'll go for faint attack so that i can encore the banette into faint attack the following turn this now gives me the perfect opportunity to swap out and eradicate says the only thing it can do is -6 feign attack i then use my turn of encore to set up a sword stance to get myself to plus two unfortunately this is where banette's encore ends and i get hit with a screech to have my defense halved but this isn't too big a deal since i can get to plus4 with sword stance right after i am hit by a very weak super effective infestation but since i can take out the banette right afterwards it doesn't continue to rack up residual damage ross lass is another problem i had to take into account since it's most likely gonna go for confuse ray which is why i equipped rat with a person berry which is gonna let me snap out of confusion and immediately take out the rest of acerola's team with crunches a pretty manageable fight even for a normie which means it's time to take on a second elite four member and i decide to challenge the rock type master olivia as per usual when we're facing a physical foe i go ahead and lead with one of my intimidators and immediately swap out into the other one to start my intimidate cycle once the armaldo is safely at -6 attack i go ahead and swap out into bear who has even more physical bulk with that fluffy ability the plan from there is quite three head basically just set up as many workups as you can get away with once that's done i annihilate the armaldo with a thunder punch as well as the lykan rock ray daily goes down to a superpower and provo pass to a couple of thunder punches because of sturdy i didn't feel super safe about beware staying in with -2 defense versus this gigglet so i decided to just swap out into bowl who can easily take it out with a few iron heads even though it took up all her potions but this means we can move on to the third elite 4 member kahili and here i must admit i made a pretty big mistake during this fight i totally spaced and confused technician for skill inc thinking that my attacks would hit five times every single time in my calcs it did say that five hits of tail slap would take out this halucha and i didn't get punished for it so you can imagine my surprise when kahili sends in amanda buzz and i somehow just get two hits with this rock blast i just sat there with youtuber thumbnail face for a while realizing what i'd just gotten away with having been confused by flatter though i do have to swap out so i send in bull to get off and intimidate as the mandibus hits me with a brave bird i then use stone edge which unfortunately is not enough to take it out and after her going for a potion and me getting her down to the same range again i go ahead and swap out into dog after getting flattered it did take some time but eventually i do manage to take out the manda buzz next up is tucanon rest in peace bird one and this thing is a physical attacker so i swap around between my intimidators for a few turns before i just take it out with a few iron heads and deal with the oricorio with tauros this leaves only the final elite four member mo lane and his steel types and for this one i was not sure how i was gonna get through this at all i at least had somewhat of a plan going in and as the cleft key goes for protect i end up setting up a workup to boost my attack it then just sets up spikes which gives me another perfect opportunity to go for workup then as it sets up a second layer of spikes i decide it's time to attack and go for a bulldoze but unfortunately it does a bit less than half i'm then hit by a thunder wave which i definitely figured is just inevitable at this point as i set up another workup the following turn the klefki sets up the final layer of spikes as i don't get fully paralyzed connect with the bulldoze but it's still not quite enough to take out the klefki i then get hit by a flash cannon as molane surprisingly doesn't go for a potion and i can finish off the klefki with a third bulldoze mullein then sends in his metagross which can't be intimidated so i just stay in as he misses a zen headbutt and i hit him down into the red with a bulldoze he then unfortunately uses a forward store as i get fully paralyzed the next turn he does connect with zen headbutt but it doesn't do too much because of fluffy and i managed to get a critical hit with bulldoze finishing off the metagross i don't have a good switch in versus this doug trio so i decided to just stay in as it leaves me at 29 hp and a brick break connects taking it out lowering my speed with tangling hair but both magnazone and bisharp are massive roadblocks and even though i've gotten this far i really don't know how i'm gonna get through the rest of this on the switch dog gets nailed by a thunderbolt which leaves it in the red and the next turn i go for a firefang which actually gets the flinch followed up by another firefang that gets a crit it's good damage but unfortunately not enough to save dog who gets destroyed by a crit thunderbolt i then send in bull who i know can out speed and finish off the magnet zone with a bulldoze but it puts me in a really bad position versus his next pokemon you see bisharp has defiant which means that if i lower its speed with bulldoze it's gonna get a double attack boost which i can't allow so i try to go for an iron head but it does such little damage that i'm pretty much forced to go for the bulldoze and while it does a very good chunk of damage it activates defiant giving bisharp the plus two allowing it to take out bull with an iron head i may very well have caused my own undoing here since i'm desperate tsuchinoko is in here and i outspeed because of the bulldoze and my body slam even manages to get a paralysis and bisharp gets fully paralyzed mullein then makes the mistake of the century by going for a full heal because since i out speed i then get two turns to just take it out with body slams meaning that i actually got through mullane which means i now only have four pokemon to face the champion and zero intimidators yeah i'm screwed however despite my unfortunate circumstances the people still need to know who the biggest normie in all of alola is is it me or is it how leading off with rat who had given a chapel berry to survive the focus blast it just ends up missing and i get a free ko against the raichu this bait's incredible who's most definitely gonna go for a power-up punch so i decide to just get a little bit of chip damage with u-turn and immediately swap out into bear who can at least handle it a bit better i'm then hit uncomfortably hard by an ice hammer after which i go for a workup to set up my attack to plus one then because ice hammer lowers speed i'm actually faster and can finish off the cribominable with a brick break this sends in how's own tauros which of course intimidates us back to neutral attack and hits us with an earthquake which does a little bit more than half of the health i have left after which i go for a brick break which isn't quite enough to take it out my plan was then to go for bulldozers hal four restores but he actually just withdraws into noiburn unfortunately this both gives him a free opportunity to take out bear and an intimidate in the back so i decide to send in chinchilla who can at least survive one dragon pulse and then retaliate back with a rock blast which is enough to take out the noiburn after three hits unfortunately this is where tauros comes out again which is gonna lower our attack by 33 and even though i can take it out easily with a single tail slap we're not at full power versus vaporeon at neutral attack i may have had a shot at taking this vaporeon out with bullet seed but as it stands i get three hits and get it below half and it just destroys chinchilla with a hydro pump and who better to face a desperate situation like this than tsuchi noko the vaporeon misses a hydro pump as i hit it with a yawn it then unfortunately halves my attack with charm before i can hit it with a body slam which of course doesn't do enough to take it out and it then falls asleep as it's sleeping i need my attack power up so i go for a coil to boost my attack defense and accuracy i know -1 isn't gonna be enough so i have to go for another coil risking it waking up and amazingly vaporeon continues to snooze as i can hit it with a final body slam leaving howe with his final pokemon decidueye maybe if i were less of a normie i'd call it deca dewey it hits me with a leaf blade but because of my plus 2 defense it doesn't do too much damage and i can fire off a yawn how seems to have had enough of my antics however as he goes for a bloom doom and this is unfortunately how dunsparce goes out with a boom but having put decidueye to sleep dunsparce's efforts will not be in vain i spend the turn that decidueye is gonna be guaranteed sleeping setting up a sword stance and then since i out speed i go for a crunch and take it out with one hit and that's how i beat a pokemon ultra moon hardcore nuzlocke using only normal types and hey look listen if you enjoyed this one if you got all the way to the end of the video and you're not subscribed to the channel what are you doing it's not every day you get to use your favorite pokemon in a hardcore nuzlocke and even rarer than that is to get to show the world how awesome it really is and if you disagree and you don't think that dunsparce is the best pokemon ever after this video then i've got one message for you
