and i hit new game to delete you know the old save file and i caught it starly and it was shiny i was like holy [ __ ] like my first pokemon ever caught a shiny um i didn't actually delete the new save file though yet to physically delete yeah you have to hold the start button yep at the main screen and so i could not trade the pokemon or anything uh because i don't know why you can't what about that reminds me of like braden like captain kidd who he's been trying to a shiny lock and did you know that no one on youtube has done a hardcore shiny lock before what's a shiny lock uh it's a nuzlocke but you can only catch shinies oh yeah it sounds awful right that sounds disgustingly does not sound fun braden is trying it and he has had the worst luck ever he was over odds on everything because it's like a 1 in 8 000 chance to find a shiny right yeah um on the starter it took him four thousand rolls which you might say that's that's pretty quick realize you see three pokemon per encounter in starters yeah so four thousand plus resets on that one um he's trying to find a a a a ghastly right now uh he's on like 22 000 resets and hasn't found one jesus christ he's so does he have to like go b-doof does he have to restart his game each time no but is it like uh if he goes to the encounter it's not shiny it doesn't count against counts as a reset okay um so yeah it's uh it's a lot and the thing is since he started it someone with better luck started and finished a run and uploaded it to me which is the most upsetting thing i've ever heard that's the most braided thing i've ever heard in my life dude do you really dreaming can't catch a break ever i remember seeing i didn't know that's why he was doing that because i remember watching him uh farm for shinies uh on a stream once yeah he was doing the starter full streams there's one time where he got he like saw a shiny charizard but then like there was a shiny totodile yeah reset anyways yeah it's just
