hey guys welcome to Rosie's dessert spot today I'll be creating this super tall pink drip cake with flowers I'll be creating a super tall cakes we have a lot of stability going into this one first I'm going to fill with buttercream four layers of cake once I reach the fourth layer I'm going to add in some bubble tea straws just Mark with my thumb where it ends on the cake and then just cutting underneath the thumb you could draw a line if you like and just use that as a guide but a lot faster I have four in a square formation and then I've placed a cake board on top with a hole right in the center for that centered out to go in lay down I didn't like that there was a lot of space between the two cake layers so I filled it in all the way with buttercream and that way it pushes out any of that air and you don't get any ugly Pockets popping out the side afterwards apply your next few layers of cake and when it's at the height that you like you can go ahead and create your crumb coat this is going to be just a thin layer of frosting traveling all around your cake smooth it out fill in any pockets as you go bring that top lip towards the middle and you have a naked cake ready to go I'm going to pop it into the fridge to set for at least 20 minutes before I do that I'm going to add in my super tall straw through the middle and that's passing through that cake board that we have in the center it's basically just going to keep it all from tilting and makes it a lot easier to transport fridge 20 minutes later we're going to add on our finale of frosting I've tinted it pink with soft pink gel food color by americolor and if you guys would like to learn cake decorating I have lots of pre-recorded glasses I'll have those linked for you in the description box remember that your frosting with a nice wide spatula you can drag that top lip towards the middle offset that buttercream back into the bowl with another spatula and continue until you are happy with the Finish I recommend popping your cake back into the fridge again before you add on the drip this was a teeny tiny python bag with way too much ganache inside tinted pink so I ended up having to use a spoon the rest of the way but basically I'm creating a nice big puddle in the middle I stuff the puddle about a centimeter or so away from the edge and then I drip these little trips along the outside that middle puddle is going to continue to feed the length of the drip and I find that this method just gives me the most control as to how many drips there are how long they become and how widely spaced apart they are into the fridge one more time to set your ganache before you add on any decorations if you guys would like to learn cake decorating in depth I have plenty of pre-recorded classes available and I'll link that in the description for you thank you so much for tuning in I hope this tutorial serves you and we will catch you again in the next one foreign
