PIECES OF GASTER vol. 2 | All Gaster Secrets Theories Evidence Explained in Undertale + Deltarune

how's going guys my name is Graham and welcome to two left thumbs anyone who's been following along with all my Dell through an undertale content the last video I did was on everything gaster I've been working diligently on a new Delta rune undertale video I've been struggling with it for like months it hasn't really come together exactly how I wanted and I feel like I finally figured out what was missing so that's nearly completed it should be out relatively soon I'll talk about it more at the end of the video but I was gonna tag on these extra gaster discoveries as like the opening portion of that video because I only thought I had like two minutes of stuff to talk about it really began to pile up so it's getting its own little video as a little add-on to the previous one it bums me out incredibly that all of it doesn't get to exist in one massive comprehensive video but hey that's just part of the iterative process of us figuring this all out together so it's not cluttered and confusing this is getting its own video so now we can talk about all the new gasser facts that were either recently uncovered or overlooked in the previous video so first a few basic Corrections I guess you could call it from the gastro video I'd highlighted the fact that in Delta ruined during the character crater you have to accept pain and seizure to advance turns out that's not true you can say no and the game still starts it's funny all the like dozen times I must have played Delta ruin to put together all this content I must have just said yes every time so that's a small correction now I have something else I just want to expand on a little bit I did bring this up within the last video but for whatever reason I just didn't spend that much time on it that at the time was a decision I made quite intentionally but now I'm not entirely sure why there's a cool time when you're talking to Sean about Javel where he actually quotes darker yet darker I guess it just felt referential rather than like any kind of actual evidence I think it's pretty dang important that Sean is quoting a character that we've never actually met so it's rather speculative but there's a chance that Sean and the devil are remnants of a shattered gaster they share some of his cynicism his crazed tendencies and little straight-up insanity I don't like to see ur eyes too much I try to keep things as factual as I can but seeing as they have some of those physical similarities maybe there's something to that but please don't read too far into something like this it has little to no supporting evidence but if it ends up being true to any sort of degree then at least I can point to this video and give myself a pat on the back for having it's equally likely that Shawn either knew WD worked with him or that the characters within this game and world are similarly aware of and fascinated by gaster lore the way we are I talked briefly about how sans is connected through the gaster blaster and I kind of lumped in papyrus through the proxy of him being sans his brother in hindsight lumping in papyrus in this way was done without very much supporting evidence not very happy with how I framed that argument it turns out papyrus does have his own gasser blaster related line within the game albeit a little more subtle but in an early update to undertale a line of dialogue was added to papyrus if you abort a genocide run during that battle afterwards there's a box of bones you can inspect and he'll say how lucky of you that I only used my special attack you surely would have been blasted I know in this community we have a tendency to cling to individual words but honestly I would blame Toby for that that's his fault for making individual words so meaningful so it's not a super super direct tie-in but it is a hint that papyrus maybe has some form of his own gaster blaster it's circumstantial evidence but I think there's some room for some cool head cannon there you know head cannon there's an official undertale blog on tumblr and it does a cool thing where they occasionally make posts from the perspective of characters within the game the posts don't sign-off specifically saying which character is talking you kind of have to sort it out yourself how the post is presented their manner of speech things like that they're ones made by toriel and mettaton but there's one in particular titled important info it's written an all lowercase the way sans talks and it has a little bit of a joke about having a bone to pick I'll put the whole thing up on screen here if you want to read through it I'm not going to read the whole thing but those are the main pieces of evidence that this is coming from sans there's a line towards the end of it besides it's rude to talk about people who are listening right not everyone is as tough as my brother a few things here as shown in the last video it's rude talk about people who are listening is more than likely referencing gaster these posts are more than likely written by Toby himself and knowing that Kari puts into these sort of things I don't think he would just make a throwaway referential line like that you would immediately think that not everyone is as tough as my brother would be referring to papyrus the fact that he brings up gas and then his brother back-to-back like that is kind of strange it's led people to speculate that maybe gaster is a lost third brother this kind of lends itself further to the idea that gaster is a skeleton which I also talked about in the last video god I wish this all just existed in one video looping this back around with a smile evidence from the previous video and this idea that gaster is a part of the skeleton family they don't forget photo with three people says that they're all smiling skeletons can't not smile just a quick refresher on that point there it also quickly brings up Sheeran's lower half people had already started speculating about that a little bit at this point so this was just kind of throwing more fuel into the fire and also directly addresses the fact that we cousins should be reading into these blog posts more they obviously aren't meant to be throw aways so it's not crazy to craft a theory around one and using this very same blog post to further tie things together shyaa'n as a monster is just kind of that head that we're seeing and that little bit off to the side is likely the fish's tail this bottom piece is referred to as the agent it's a totally separate sprite and entity there's way more going on surrounding that but if when battling siren you hum repeatedly eventually there's this dialogue about the monsters gathering around to hear the song and Stan's start selling tickets on toilet paper but if instead you're doing a genocide run it has the line a hooded figure watches the commotion from afar the only two characters we know of with hoods are the river person and sands and now technically RAL say but at the time that the game was released and this blog post was made that's a clue or a piece of the puzzle that we wouldn't have had to work with and it's kind of presented in a way that you have everything you need to kind of see the significance of this so I'm excluding that character there's some very particular inherent link between siren and sans there are very lengthy forum discussions of people trying to solve this here I just think it's interesting and it adds one final piece of evidence to the idea that this post was written by sans now I talked a lot about unused music and sound files in that gasps through video there's also one other one that I didn't think initially tied to gaster but now I think probably does there's the abc123 a track named that way simply so it alphabetically gets jumped up to the top of the list and it's more difficult to miss it's specifically telling players not to share the secrets of the game online respect game it's impossible to have mysteries nowadays please keep all of this between us obviously that didn't happen it was never not going to happen people were either gonna disregard it or much more likely find specific secrets before finding this one in which case it would be too late this glitchy track is created using vocals synthesizers of fruityloops studios and if you've listened closely it seems like cut up fragments of this track are what comprise one of the layers of the gaster speech sounds [Music] and in one of the first updates to the game version 1.00 won this sound file was completely replaced with a choppy arrangement of synthesized laughter this new sound file is only six seconds long now this is either Toby just having fun with us maybe he was a little bummed that people disregarded it so completely or there's an actual in-game can and purpose here where gaster doesn't want us digging deeper into the game files but maybe it's like reverse psychology maybe he says he doesn't want us to then when everyone does he's just having a good laugh about it pretty cool overall and it seemed worth sharing I think the most significant omission from that video that was pointed out to me in the comments and his explained in great detail by be on her suzy undertale tumblr account is the existence of typer values within the code of undertale and delta root now how dialogue is displayed and delivered in both games are associated with something called a tie / value these values store text characteristics like font size color speed at which it's typed out and sound effects most characters have their own specific type or value that assigns all of those functions rather than having several values 1 that means font 1 that means size etc it's all grouped together as one consistent value it's easy enough to imagine when you look at different characters like papyrus oratorio they're vastly different and each character has their own unique type of value assigning all of those characteristics in the gasser video I outlined in great detail the significance of the number 6 to gaster now in undertale all of these standard typer values all the ones that are associated with characters in the game just naturally progressed from 1 to 111 their number and order is probably pretty well just determined by the order they were added into the game there's one very important exception to this entry 17 with it's glitchy sounds wobbly text and wing-dings font is called up through a type or value of 666 now this is a very specific usage this exact sound and font and all of that doesn't exist anywhere in Deltora at least not together like this as its own type or value but that game does still have a unique 666 typer value it's used throughout the character creation intro sequence up until will now be discarded no one can choose who they are in this war which uses a type or value of two and now through this 666 entry 17 is connected to the character creation I already had a lot of supporting evidence of how the character creation largely connects with gasser so this is huge it's yet another way that 666 and the character creation and gasser are all mixed up together it's also very cool that the character creation is cut short by someone else this is the only place that the type of value of 2 is used so we can't even point to a specific character within the game to highlight who may have interrupted we just know it was some third party that wasn't us and wasn't who we can presume is gaster running the character creation guys this is a game changer thank you so much B for pointing this one out to me it's so cool it was so dedicatedly research and well explained thank you so much for that I'll have a link to that tumblr account in the description I never would have figured that stuff out on my own so credit where credit's do thank you thank you for that way it's awesome this is kind of a double whammy thinks it's something directly related to gasser but it's also building off the idea that gaster is the architect behind the events of delta rune that he might be the one creating that world during the opening sequence the core is something created by gaster when he was working as the royal scientist there are these little pillars around the core and when you look through the files of the game these are referred to as darkness totems their exact role isn't precisely known but they could exist to create some sort of balance between the known world and the dark world there's the whole idea that gaster fell into the core shattering his body across time and space maybe this resulted in the creation of the dark world where maybe it simply sent a piece of him to the dark world there's not enough evidence to state anything factually here but it appears to be another piece of the puzzle of how the core gaster and the dark world are all interconnected a quick important note when I was talking about gassers followers it's very interesting that all of them are found in hotland and that this is also how we access the core the core clearly is very powerful and does a bunch of crazy things including manipulations of time and space the way the followers kind of appear and disappear flipping in and out of time and space and this appears to only be happening in proximity to the core there's like a very clear fracture in space happening near this area made even more interesting by the fact that we have these darkness totems and multiple of these followers show up in Delta rune in they're normal non-gray followers state and now tying things back to that abc123 a track we hear seven unique voices talking typically six has been a very important number surrounding gaster this is quite speculative but what may be happening here is that we have gaster and his six followers we have met five followers in the game and seemingly we are creating the sixth follower at the beginning of Delta room it was touched on briefly in the last video with the connection between the goner assets during this creation and the goner kid and the goner clam but now it just kind of comes together a lot more clearly my brain is like geeking out really hard really hoping that that has some significance I guess we're gonna have to wait for the full game to see if that's built on it all seems really important and one of the more obvious connections to gastar going on during this vessel creation is the song in the background is another hymn the all capitalized hymn is something also very heavily tied to gaster and while we're chasing this idea of maybe creating another gaster follower and we have characters like this saying that they're carrying pieces of gaster if we're making another hymn and we're making a vessel then perhaps we are making something that can how is a piece of gaster i hope you guys can follow my logical through line on that one I'm not saying this specifically is related to gaster but it's not the only time we seem to have an example in this game of something housing themselves within a vessel of sorts that's a lot of step laddering and intertwining building of theories and connections and all that so I'm gonna take a step back with a few things that are a little simpler and some that are just straight silly this one is super quick and simple but if you type out egg in all capitals in wing-dings font it comes up with multiple hands pointing left up and up now this is so inane and stupid and random but in that previous video I kind of covered how will the egg laces and everything and how I think it connects to gaster wingdings is in argue of connected to gaster and the idea of the man who talks in hands is very likely connected to gaster now what's the deal with the left up and up this is the approximate moving pattern of a knight in chess what is one of the major cliffhangers in Delta room who is the knight huge repeatedly mentioned thing that we never get a firm answer to and this stupid deeply buried for lack of a better term easter egg or more accurately gaster egg might actually point to the fact that gasser is in fact the knight I'm sure there's other ways to look at this other ways to to cut it but I think that is simultaneously stupid enough and complex enough that it makes it easy to overlook yet it's like the most glaringly obvious hint possible when it's right there in front of your face I think that might actually end up being super important it's also very rarely talked about I only saw like two or three people bring it up and I didn't really pay much mind to it at first and then all of a sudden I decided to put a lot of weight into it I guess I'm just feeling it right now I laid out precisely how and why I believe it makes sense that mystery man is gaster but I thought I should draw attention to another funny theory that exists out there the first place I ever saw this was from a forum post by today Z they aren't a fan of the whole wingding gasser and mystery man connection so there's silly simple thing that they came up with is that WD instead stands for white dog gaster there's simple summary is that annoying dog is gaster travels through time and space he created the world including the core he fell into his own creation undertale he's seen the timelines because he wrote them he's everywhere he's listening to us he's on the forums on twitter on tumblr on reddit but since we largely know that the annoying dog is also a stand-in for Toby this is kind of saying that Toby and gasser are one in the same there's something fun to kind of latch onto there this is more of just like a silly throwaway idea than a concrete theory but while sitting here meticulously drawing out all these dots and connections it's funny to just take a step back and have a laugh at something like this I don't actually put any stock into it or take it seriously so I'm hoping now that's true like nearly an hour's worth of video everything that we could possibly touch on when it relates to gaster has now been discussed because this kind of came about while I was working on that other video that one is very near being completed I'm very excited about it it kind of shares a similar format to these gasser videos it's me explaining things as best as I can by just laying out the facts I won't get into specifics because I'm trying to be mysterious and just trying to tease things a little bit here but it's something that's been highly contentious very highly debated within the community for a while now there were a few small theories about it back in undertale Delta ruin gave us the context to really start exploring this and it has such crazy implications for this universe and I'm so damn excited about it and
