[Applause] I had one I'm Calvin with southern country living and today I will be doing a recipe that it's a favorite of a lot of people we're gonna be pickling eggs and I'm gonna be using an old-fashioned recipe this is a way that a lot of people really love it I think if you give it a try you'll like it too so let me get started here okay I've got me a pan of water that's heating up we're gonna let this heat up till it comes to a complete ball okay the water has reached a boiling point so now I'm gonna add the heat okay now that the border just come to a bola point I'm gonna start adding my eggs to it I'm gonna do about 2048 by 2,000 tonight and as you add the eggs the water's going to quit bowling so let me get all these eggs in here and I'll be right back with you okay the eggs have come back to a ball and I've set my timer for 12 minutes I'm gonna let these boil for 12 full minutes after they Bowl for 12 minutes I'm gonna take move to the sink and fill this pan up with some cold water let them sit for five minutes in cold water and then I'll peel the eggs after that they'll be ready to put in the jar for the pickled eggs okay the eggs have been cooling for five minutes so let's see how good they're going peel okay that would feel good go ahead and place it in the jar okay there there tell them pretty good so let me get all these eggs peeled up now after I get my old pill and in the jar okay that's two of them peeled so what I'm gonna do I'm gonna go ahead and mix up the brine mixture first and let it go ahead and come to bowl fill all these eggs so let me set this to the side for just a minute and let me see if what I want mix for the brine mixture I'm gonna start with one cup of water and I'm going to add two cups of white vinegar okay I'm going to use this is three teaspoons of salt and this may surprise you a little bit but I'm going to use 1/4 of a cup of sugar now in this brine and we'll also go ahead and put in just a quarter spoonful of the Pikmin seasoned spices of the pickling spices and let me get my onion I forgot to slice it let me get it real quick and put it in here okay until the brine mixture I'm gonna add just a few slices of onion okay let me put this on the eye over here and let it come to a bowl okay I'll get the rest of these eggs peeled and in the jar and I'll be back within just a few minutes okay I got all the eggs peeled special thanks to Murray for helping me with that that's probably the hardest part of this recipe okay I'm using an old pickle jar my brain has already changeable and I've been letting it sit there for about five minutes to two down just a little bit start off with a layer of eggs in the bottom and we'll put two or three fresh pieces of onion in there then I'm gonna put my next layer of eggs okay let me drop this is some deal this is fresh deal and I'm going to just drop a couple of twigs of deal in a couple more onions now we'll go with another layer of AIDS okay some more onions little more deal some more eggs okay put the rest mining in there couple more twigs a deal and some more eggs for this size jar I could have probably used another dozen eggs okay let me get my brine I'm gonna pour this in here very slowly go ahead like I'm doing everything go into it okay well I step I'm gonna do and we'll take some more of the pickling spices and I'm gonna put about a this is a quarter teaspoon full I'm gonna put one more in there then I'm gonna put the lid on give it a good shape so their thing gets mixed up real good okay so this is a jar of old-fashioned pickled eggs what I'll do now I'm looking to just a little bit more before I put them in the refrigerator but I'll put these in the refrigerator for about seven to ten days and then they'll be ready to eat turn around and show you how it looks all the way around you can see the pieces of onion in there make sure you do have it shaped up good so that everything is mixed in together okay but I'll put that in free-trading let it sit for seven to ten days they'll be ready to eat and you long as you keep them in refrigerator and keep them sealed they good for six to eight months thanks everyone for watching this video if you will please give it a thumbs up and leave a comment on it if you've done pickled eggs before let me know how you do yours and what's your favorite way to pickle also please remember to subscribe to our Channel we appreciate each and every one of our subscribers and if you'll turn on the bail for notifications then you'll get notifications every time we put a new video on okay thanks once again everybody have a great day you
