now i'm gonna go ahead and say this it is a perfect fall october day and we're in bangor maine walking up to stephen king's house look how gorgeous this is baby ghoul there's a red balloon a pennywise balloon on the fence oh man so this is something jessica and i have been dreaming about doing pretty much our entire lives i remember seeing this house whenever i was a kid the first time i ever saw this and i always wanted to go trick-or-treating at stephen king's house [Music] this is even more beautiful than i thought it was going to be oh and wait till you guys get a load of this gate oh my gosh baby i have got chills and it's not the fall weather if only we can go up there and go trick-or-treating can you imagine what kind of candy you think he gives out if he doesn't or whoever is at the house total reese's peanut butter cups do you think that's his favorite candy oh i have no clue what's your favorite candy that's my favorite candy that so wait this is my dream uh in my perfect halloween stephen king dream stephen king would answer the door dressed as dracula with the the coolest cape you've ever seen or like you were saying a devil like a little red devil like the classic little red suit and horn right and here and he would hand out reese's peanut butter cups in a very creepy halloween voice a kid can only dream we came this far so you never know you never know before we go on our stephen king adventure and finding some filming locations to the movie pet cemetery i do want to walk around the property here a little bit not on the actual property but along the fence line because there are some other creatures that are here as well and this is the driveway going up to it and what on earth is this let's see if we can get over this way you can see it a little bit better it's like a three-headed it's almost it kind of looks like a swan dragon but it is a dragon that's for sure look at that thing the gate for the driveway is open but like i said we're not going to be going on the property just walking around respecting property owners wishes no trespassing but look at this the gate the walk-in gate it's got the k on it for king i'm officially losing my mind losing my gourd you're talking about losing your gourd i feel like i should start talking about my pumpkins like oh my pumpkin or something like holy haystacks holy hay bales that doesn't work i might come up with one i will yeah now before we leave in search of the pet cemetery filming locations i do want to point out a few different things technically stephen king has only has a couple different houses this one here in maine he also has one done in florida i remember reading somewhere online that they were trying to turn this into a writer's retreat not entirely sure how much that has come but how cool would it be to spend the weekend or a week or a month inside this house and write your own horror novel i would do it i'd write a novel for it i'd come in here and i don't know if they ever open it up to the public that you can spend the night i promise you guys we will come here and we'll do a video on it now this is very interesting as well driving up to the house noticed this almost immediately and it reminded me of the movie hellraiser three there's this weird contraption that spun straight from hell it's not like that though instead it looks like it's just got a bunch of different characters on it like a curio cabinet filled with books and animals now sadly we only have two days here in bangor maine i wish we had a lot more because just driving around on this beautiful overcast day in the middle of october well technically it's towards the end of october halloween is right around the corner we only have two days there's so much we want to do so much stephen king stuff but today we're going to focus on the pet cemetery filming locations we have a lot of ground to cover so let's get started remember got to stay warm because it is cold out stays today [Music] [Music] [Laughter] [Music] bangor maine the home of stephen king today we're doing the filming locations the pet cemetery in order to make this happen we have to travel about an hour south and kind of like the back woods it took a little bit to get here it's kind of out in the middle of nowhere now after the opening credits of the movie pet cemetery which takes place in the actual pet cemetery where judd buried his dog whenever he was a kid after the credits were now introduced to the creed family home and the characters i can't believe we're going to be visiting this house the next few days that we're here in bangor maine it's going to be rainy and overcast so couldn't ask for a better atmosphere for a stephen king video right stephen king has said that pet cemetery is the scariest thing that he's ever written and to be fair it was probably one of the scariest movies i've ever seen especially as a kid now right now i'm walking up to the creed family home and the road that i'm on this road this is the same exact road where young gage gets hit by a truck we're going to talk about that in just a moment but it's pretty surreal walking the street we decided to park further down the street and actually walk up to the house for a couple different reasons one out of respect for the people who are living here we don't want to park in their driveway or trespass in any way shape or form but also we like taking this extra time to just kind of take in the atmosphere the scene the setting it's like getting into the right state of mind now what are your thoughts on the movie pet cemetery have you read the book have you seen the movie i mean obviously you've seen the movie everybody has i've seen the movie i've seen both of the movies i have not read the book i really do want to but i i think the first pet cemetery was maybe the first time i was ever like sincerely genuinely creeped out by a child like chucky didn't even do that for me like they did when we're first introduced to the creed house the very beginning of the movie there's a truck that's coming right down this road towards right where i am standing in fact if it was coming it would hit me like it hit gauge but as it passes the camera pans over to the house and you see the driveway and you see that little stone pillar that column right there to the left of the driveway and then the very next shot is of the family pulling into the driveway and you get a really good shot of the front of the house as well as the garage that's right next to it right about there [Music] hey baby goal a little pet cemetery trivia on the back of the car there was a bumper sticker and what did it say have you hugged your md today your doctor that's right because lewis creed was a doctor [Music] excited that they're finally here ellie hugs her father and does cartwheels down the lawn and she makes her way over to a tire swing hanging from a tree [Music] standing here on the side of the road you can see that rope swing hanging from that tree in about the center of your screen but when they're here filming if you go over this way towards the left of the flagpole you can see that little patch of like shrubs or brush whatever you want to call it that's where there was used to be a tree and that's where the rope swing would have been overlooking that little hillside down next to the road should also point this out right across the street is judd's house now it looked a lot different in the movie if you remember it looked very old and very decrepit and that's because they actually built a facade on the front of it kind of like a shell over top of it they did the same kind of thing whenever they made salem's lot in ferndale california there's a path over there do you know where it goes [Music] yeah that's a good story a good walk i'll take you out there sometime tell your story too now in this shot you're going to see church sitting in the grass next to the pathway as the family and judd walk down the hillside mommy daddy come on let's go we're coming [Music] now even though there's no path here you can still see a little clearing through the trees [Laughter] and you're ready for it walking through actually takes you to a creek [Music] man these trees are something else [Music] the adventurer that she is curiosity's gotten the better of her and she's gonna go be careful you're gonna slip [Music] now even though there is a pathway on the other side of the creek this is not the right pathway from the movie the filming locations is actually further south i think it's further south and like arcadia national park but this is freaking gorgeous of course we are going to be hitting up the sights the walk up to the mcmack burial ground you hear that that's a big truck kind of like the same ones that hit gage i've seen a few since we've been here a few of the 18 wheelers big trucks whatever you call them yeah they fly this is beautiful we'll say this though knowing that the actual pet cemetery is in a different location not at the end of this pathway this does look like you're about ready to walk into that cemetery before we move on to the next location there's one more scene that we have to talk about and that's the death of gage and it's probably the most gut-wrenching heartbreaking scene of the entire movie possibly even cinema now jessica and i just got done watching that scene again to try to make sure we got everything lined up and i have to admit it gets me teary-eyed to this day just watching it unfold and hearing the dad scream it just gives me chills at the start of the scene you actually see this side of the house the windows match up perfectly and right next to the house still is this open field now as i pan the camera you're going to see that lake now the family is having a picnic right about the center of your screen and you can see that lake in the background and gage is flying a kite and they're having a blast it's a beautiful day daddy's flying the kite mommy look watch him there it is [Music] gage goes after the string of the kite which takes him to the road and everybody else his parents and judd are screaming get the baby get the baby don't let him get close to the road and he gets to right over here this portion of the road and then they show the truck coming around that bend the bend matches up perfectly you see these trees in this little field over here and then right here is where gage dies [Music] [Applause] [Music] this is definitely what are the most haunting and magical filming locations videos we've ever done that's for sure hey baby goal do you know what a graveyard really is well i guess not really well it's a place where the dead speak well not really their stones do the talking now you have to use a little bit of imagination because a lot has changed since they made the movie pet cemetery but where we were just walking through this little path that's behind jessica this was the entrance to the pet cemetery this the the cemetery at the end of the path on the creed property remember whenever we walk through the the woods there and there's the creek magically you're over here this is probably about 45 minutes away from the house but this small little patch of land here in the woods we're going to line up some things you'll see what i mean this is where they built the cemetery and right about in this area in the center this is where judd buried his dog whenever he was a little boy that's where i buried my dog's spot when he died of old age in 1924 you know what jessica just like everything else when it comes to movies i always think the area is a lot bigger than what it is this is pretty small right and obviously things changed and if we look over this way you can see there's a blue building and a water tower these weren't here or at least if they were they hid them very well but we could line up a lot of things based off of this rock pile and then there's another one over here as well ellie do you know what a graveyard really is this place where the dead speak jessica was behind me kicking up the leaves and stepping on rotted wood basically and she unearthed this now these definitely are not trees but there are two pieces of painted wood that is nailed together i find it really hard to believe that parts of the cemetery were still here after all this time but come on it is i mean that's definitely white paint that's definitely white paint and quite a few of the crosses and the the makeshift tombstones for the pets were painted white is there another piece over there there is i just keep hoping one of them says something on it but i mean they are melted into the earth that's how old they are and i don't think you just find that randomly out in the woods especially when a scene has been built here that was a cemetery now let's get a closer look at it that does look like it would have been nailed together in the shape of a cross 100 percent oh my gosh this is cool i feel like the paint part was only preserved because this part was facing the earth right and when i picked it up i mean that it's very obviously paint very obviously paint there's the place what's it say mommy it says pet cemetery honey it's misspelled but that's what it says in this scene as well as they walk through the pet cemetery entrance they walk over this way and slowly the camera follows them now at the very end of this scene they show a very quick glimpse of the deadfall and that would have been over here and we know that because if you look right at the base of the trees on both sides of the screen right now you can see these rock piles those can be seen which means the dead fall was built right between these two [Music] and now that we know where the deadfall is this is also the location where later on in the movie judd and lewis climbed the deadfall to go to the mcmac burial ground to bury church and also where lewis goes back to barry gage and his wife the place we're going is on the other side of that when the first time that you watched the movie pet cemetery did you ever think that you would be standing right in the center of the pet cemetery i never thought i'd make it up to maine to be here now it's beautiful though right it is yes but you want to know the craziest part about the pet cemetery it's not in the woods it's in a little patch of woods behind an elks lodge and a motel and when we got here we decided to walk through the woods because you know why the heck not but there is a parking lot here which would make sense that you know the crew and the cast would come here and park now right over this way towards the corner of the parking lot is a a road that goes back there so it would make sense they would choose this place to film there because remember they built that entire set all the the tombstones the fencing the sign all was built some of the trees now the real question is this did we or did we not take that pet cemetery cross now we're standing out front of the ellsworth city hall and you see this brick walkway you can see this clear as day as victor pascal all bloodied after getting hit by a car on his bicycle is carried into the doctor's office which is run by lewis creed we're gonna line up shots we always do but this is the building it's a beautiful building that's for sure ellsworth city hall 1935. oh wow yeah not much has changed the windows are the same the banister's the same there's cars in the parking lot the only thing that's missing is the people carrying victor pascal up the street and then the people over there in the grass having a picnic now in this scene they carry them right up these stairs and the camera pans off to the right here and you can see them open up these doors and they go right inside now sadly we can't go inside because the building is closed but here's a shot with the camera up against the glass you can see this hallway everything they even go up those little stairs right there now if you're familiar with the movie after the accident the people are bringing pascal to lewis creed to try to save his life ultimately he ends up dying and then pascal keeps coming back throughout the movie haunting louis creed it's a creepy creepy tale one is stephen king's best like i said he even said it's the scariest thing he has ever written [Music] [Music] right now jessica and i are walking through a park known as the arcadia national park here in maine and as you saw from the sign we're walking up what's known as the bubble trail [Music] i never thought of that you're right because of the rocks it does have a very bubble kind of feel to it right now we're searching for a very small scene the filming location to a very small scene from pet cemetery and it's where judd and lewis are hiking up to the mcmac burial ground and there's a scene where they walk across these very creepy looking roots through the trees not much farther now [Music] now spoiler alert times have changed and to make it easier for hikers they tore out a lot of a lot of those roots and they put these staircase in this wooden staircase you can still see some of the roots so that's what we're gonna go try to find what we do know about this scene is that it definitely was filmed on this trail now at the time these stairs weren't here instead there are roots and jessica was reading online those roots have been dug up they've been gone and they put this staircase to make it easier for people to walk the trail now just looking at this it's beautiful it's creepy that's for sure but it to me it doesn't really line up to the scene from the movie now it stretches from here all the way to the top of the hill so we're gonna walk it and see but this is probably it and i'll tell you why i'm not knocking fred gwen in any way shape or form but at the time of filming this movie fred guin wasn't the same herman munster that we all know he was about six five jessica at the time of filming this he was a lot older now i find it very hard to believe that fred gwen and the cast and the crew and the cameramen went all the way up this hill to the very top where the other side of the steps are mainly because when they were here filming it was those creepy looking roots like i said they put these steps in here over time to make it easier for hikers so more than likely more than likely this set of steps this section this portion is the area that they used but just in case let's scale the steps plus got to get some exercise in let's see what i mean pretty much walking through the woods everything looks the same and since they changed it all there's just absolutely no way of knowing but this is definitely the path from pet cemetery here's some right here poking out of the ground basically you're looking at a curve in the pathway it goes up that way stretching over the hill which is exactly where we are going because remember we're looking for the mcmac burial ground now like i said there's absolutely no way of knowing where on this hill they filmed those scenes with judd and lewis walking up over top the roots this all looks just like it now what you're looking at right now is the very top of the hill the very top of the staircase so no matter where they filmed it i covered it all it truly amazes me how much things can change especially from filming locations because you know when they make the movie they actually document it freeze it in time not only do buildings change but also the forest pretty wild and got my exercise in you know how in a lot of our videos i'm always going on and on about scenery and the way things look and how beautiful things are i love california but nothing i mean nothing compares to a view like this look at this like i knew maine was beautiful but i did not expect this jessica and i so far today have been spending the day driving all over god's creation here in maine hoping and praying that the rain doesn't wash out this video and luckily so far every time we're in the car traveling it's been almost pouring down rain but whenever it gets time to get out and film it opens up just enough now this rock quarry that's right behind me i'm going to talk about in a minute i'm going to line up some shots very quick scene happens here as judd and louis make their way the long stretch because it feels like it took forever to get there up to the mcmac burial ground now this location and the top of the hill the actual burial ground is about an hour away from each other here in maine so yeah it took some time to get there but with views like this who can really complain to get to the mcmac burial ground judd and lewis start climbing the quarry and in this shot you see them coming right around this bend right about there in the center of your screen let me zoom in a little bit now what's really interesting about this is if you look very very closely at the rock the markings on the rock you see those little nicks like little etchings in the ground well you know in the rock itself you can see it as judd comes right around that little bend right there [Music] [Music] there's no possible way that i'm going to be able to get this angle right with our lens and our camera but it's about right here where you see louis it's a close-up of his face and you see those rocks those that rock pile that's down there in the water you can see that clears day right behind him [Music] almost there lois you keep saying that first off i mean climbing the rocks judd would have walked right past me over to this formation where jessica's standing on right now also if you look closely you can see those nicks in these formations as well i'm not gonna lie i'm actually a little surprised that they were able to get the actors out here because you know what it's a little tricky spot to get to especially whenever it's raining so i'm being extra careful and kind of sliding down the rocks on my butt but typically you don't see this there's a lot of safety precautions when it comes to filming so much respect for them for for going across these rocks safely i'm sorry if i gave you a little bit of a fright going down there baby goal i know it's wet just had to do it i was very careful but guess what now we're heading off to the mcmac burial ground right now we're about an hour outside of bangor maine getting some exercise in as we walk back up to where they filmed the mcmac burial ground scenes where judd takes lewis to bury church the cat it's a lot more of a hike than i thought it was but it's not that bad and when we got to bangor maine last night it said the next couple days which is happens to be the last few days that we're on our trip before we head back to la that it was going to be raining not like torrential downpour but it was going to be misting like this which i think it kind of adds to the whole ambiance of pet cemetery right that's the tone it's a dreary drizzly cold cold now you were saying you were saying on the drive here that for the first time really in the month of october that we've been on the road that you actually feel halloween yeah so you're from pittsburgh i'm from st louis and this is nearly the exact weather that we would experience in october all of october very wet very cold biting cold what do you think baby goal it's about a mile walk feels like it it's nice to just be this far away from civilization you know jessica keeps stopping to take pictures as well as she should should always take the time to enjoy your surroundings and where you've been and but uh me i'm on a mission gotta get to the very top baby goal we are almost there i can see the rocks where lewis and judd come walking out of the woods in the pile man this is crazy cool how you feeling baby goal wanna take a minute it's a lot of uphill trekking yeah but i mean landscape my god how beautiful is this and once we get up there of course we're going to line up some shots and show you the filming locations but you can already see that lake that's way over there that's pretty much where we parked the car oh wow so so worth it the hiking sure as heck paid off so once we get on top of this giant rock formation this right here in the movie pet cemetery this is the mcmac indian burial ground [Laughter] wow i honestly can't believe we are standing here right now this is insane this movie is absolutely terrifying one of stephen king's most terrifying and again hauntingly beautiful stories and this oh man i'm kind of i'm losing my gourd this is insane you know what's really neat even though the rock formations from the movie aren't here there are still rock formations here like that that giant one that's right in the middle of everything obviously man-made you have to think that somebody did that because of where we're standing could be they're all over yeah whole line of them over there it just it gives me more questions than it does answers as with all filming locations things change over time but in this scene you can see this giant rock as well as that rock back there as lewis and judd come out of the woods and louis sees this place for the very first time he has this look on his face like what am i looking at and he asked judd what is this place well he's about to find out [Music] what is this place as they walk out of the woods and up to the center of the mcmac burial ground we get an aerial shot as judd starts telling louis about why he brought him here well basically it's the place that they're going to bury ellen's cat church remember that creepy cat yep this is where he's buried and comes back to life this was a burial ground whose burial ground make i brought you here to barry ellen's cast well i forgot sick i said why judge i had my reasons now we brought our drone so aptly named ghostly swoosh and we flew it but the wind and the rain it was not behaving the way that we wanted so sadly we have to scrap that but that's okay because you know what just being here oh we should have brought a shovel the soil is thin but you'll manage now this rock can be seen again in a couple different close-up shots now from this angle there's a scene where judd decides to have a smoke and he hands the shovel off to lewis and says you got to do it yourself the soil is thin but you'll manage soil's thin but you'll manage growing up did you ever have a pet that passed away of course yeah now would you bring that pet here and bury it here knowing exactly what happens whenever something goes in the ground no are you sure i'm positive yes they don't come back right that's for sure no man and also they're not exactly fresh anymore again you see that same rock but from a different angle judd is standing over in this direction lighting a cigarette and he's looking off in the distance now if you look way way over there it might be a little hard to see with this camera but there's a lake and you can see that lake in this shot as the sun is starting to set [Music] the exact spot where judd has louis berry church is right in the middle of the mcmac burial ground which i find funny because even though judd says the soil is thin it's actually stone there's no dirt here it's like a giant natural stone table if you'd call it that ultimately church gets buried here gage gets buried here and then his wife and every single one of them comes back a little bit nasty because after all it's stephen king now baby goal out of all the places we've ever been to this by far at least for me is the coolest filming location we've ever visited it has its own beauty and coming here during this time of year so perfect so perfect the next stop on our pet cemetery filming locations tour brings us to mount hope cemetery in bangor maine it's a massive cemetery the wind is really starting to pick up and the leaves are blowing across the cemetery jessica what are you doing over here you picking dandelions i'm surprised i'm surprised it survived at all it's so windy there you go like all the other ones i've seen are completely bare and they're just this one little dandy lying i should have left it it was really pretty i couldn't resist it now just like the creed house the cemetery is quite recognizable in the movie pet cemetery a lot of people come here for photos now you see the cemetery twice in the movie pet cemetery the first time is after missy commits suicide and stephen king does a cameo where he's performing the funeral at her gravesite the other time is whenever lewis comes back at night to dig up his son gage okay so we have to take a bit of a time out right now in this video and tell you about an ongoing joke that happens to jessica and i while we're on the road filming if you listen very carefully off in the distance you can hear leaf blowers there are gardeners in the cemetery blowing leaves all these dead leaves that are on the ground and trying to suck them all up as leaves are falling but the joke is every time that we're filming somewhere there's always a leaf blower a lawnmower a tree chipper something going on a weed whacker it's becoming an ongoing joke so from here on out you're going to hear a slight hum hopefully in the background of it of them blowing leaves it happens it happens now right now we're standing at the top of the hill in mount hope cemetery because you see that stone in the center of your screen there's a shot an establishing shot of missy's funeral with stephen king you know doing the funeral from up here now in this scene in the shot you're going to see where it says tibbetts right there on the stone and then right down there that's where missy's funeral is happening the cars are parked right on that street and now may the lord bless you and keep you may the lord make his face to shine upon you now you see that big stone that's to the left it says bury on it well after watching the scene you can see that stone right there that cross and those two stones which puts stephen king standing over almost right in front of the stone that says barry as he's conducting the funeral for missy now this stretch of road right here is where the cars would have been parked for missy's funeral and at the very front would have been the hearse now you see those stones back there on the hill you can see those behind judd and lewis as they're talking as to why god would take someone like missy when an old fart like judd is still roaming the earth i don't know i gotta take someone like that we should still have a bunch of years left in front of us and that's an old fart like me just go on and on and then the camera turns to face lewis head on in a bit of a close-up and you can see those stairs behind him as he delivers the line it's a very awkward one he says my father used to have a saying judd god sees the truth but waits what does that mean i don't know but it sounded creepy when he said it it does sound creepy my father used to have a saying judd god sees the truth but waits right now we're walking over to where gage's tombstone was it's not too far from where missy's funeral was so you can kind of just park your car and walk right over to it from the top of the hill if you're looking at the establishing shot of where the funeral was you go to the left there's another little walkway this one doesn't have as many steps as the other one does but you can line up some things now this shot right here i want to draw your attention to the fence that separates the cemetery from the road now right about there is where lewis would have parked his car and then hopped the fence and then he would have walked right up through this little walkway over to this stone now this is the stone that he would have passed now the scene picks up right where it says 1869 and has that little flower right about there yeah that's about right 1869 the flower and then gage would be buried right up there by that tree pretty wild right i feel like we should have brought a shovel well i'm glad we didn't because then the people who run the cemetery probably think we're trying to dig up somebody but no we're just trying to reenact something from pet cemetery another time another time now as lewis walks up the hillside to his son's grave he passes a few different tombstones different markers one of them being the square archway and then right where i am standing well let me say this right where jessica's standing you see how she's standing right on that concrete step if i turn the camera this way you can see that white stone monument behind her up the walkway there you see that tree and you see that stoop which means gage's tombstone would have been right there in the center of your screen those three landmarks match up perfectly he looks over and standing right where jessica is is pascal and he says the famous lines the barrier is not meant to be crossed the barrier was not meant to be crossed then there's a close-up of his dead face saying the ground is sour i love that line and you can see that thomas c ferris 1814 to 1891 right behind him the entire time the ground is sour after you're done visiting the pet cemetery filming locations and before you leave there are two other stones here in the general vicinity that you should visit little pieces of trivia you're going to love this the first stone that you're going to want to visit is pretty much right next to where the funeral scene happened now right in the center of your screen this little open patch of land this is where missy's funeral was but over here where jessica is standing is rumored to be the inspiration for georgie from stephen king's book it now jessica was just standing over here painting her respects and she was reading it and georgie well this georgie the inspiration for georgie in the movie it he was only a year and a half and there's a shot at the top of the stone with his name on it pretty wild right now there's one more person buried in mount hope cemetery that is rumored to be the inspiration for one of stephen king's books and that's carrie well the inspiration for carrie white now the real life carrie she's buried over here not too far from georgie and missy's funeral scene there it is now i've seen pictures online with like you know people dress it up for halloween where there's like a bloody hand hanging over top of it but supposedly rumor around bangor is this this stone this name is what gave stephen king the inspiration for carrie carrie m wife of frank oh hesseltine died june 11 1856 age 24 and then there's something written down there looks like it's in latin i can't read it now i know we're in town in bangor doing the filming locations the pet cemetery but i promise you at some point at some point we're going to come back to bangor and do other stephen king videos but while we're on the topic of what inspired stephen king to write certain aspects of his novels or for ideas for his novels there is one more place one more spot of inspiration that i want to visit right now i'm walking down jackson street to the corner of union street about two blocks away is stephen king's house now right up here at this intersection on the left-hand side of the street there's a storm drain and it is rumored to be the inspiration for pennywise living in the sewers in his book it that storm drain right there now what's really interesting about this how i have the camera positioned it's on purpose because if i were to walk straight across that field from the middle of my screen straight across that field it would take you right to stephen king's house it's right on the other side of those trees across the park that's how close we are now i've seen pictures online through the years oftentimes people will write the word it in red or they'll leave a balloon or something i was hoping something was going to be here but if you look over on this side you see that white string that's a balloon string you know i knelt down to get a shot of this and i i was kind of second guessing myself i probably shouldn't get too close because i might get my arm ripped off but you know that old saying right what you know that's what stephen king did that's what he did with everything from georgie to carrie to this is that paul bunyan statue from the movie it and i think it's also written in the book it's down the street right across the street from our hotel but we're gonna save that for a later time pretty wild right you know growing up my mother was a big fan of the stephen king books and she's actually the one who got me into reading stephen king and my favorite stephen king books there's two of them is christine and misery yeah man this is a childhood dream or shall i say childhood nightmare come true and i think that's about it for our very first visit ever to bangor maine i am fairly certain they're going to be back there's a bunch of stuff here that we want to film what do you think baby goal bangor maine stephen king's house pet cemetery filming locations was it everything you thought it would be and more yeah yeah yeah i don't know if you come in the summer if it will have the same feeling but coming in the fall yes definitely the leaves the crisp air feeling like it was going to rain or it was going to snow we did get rained on right it it just added to it added to the haunting the enchantment of what maine is really didn't have on the plate even though it was really freezing and we got wet it was just kind of like it took us two days to film this entire video there was a lot of ground to cover we did it we got a whole bunch of hiking in it was just absolutely phenomenal i'm sorry exercising i said hiking i said the h-word exercising is what it's called what i wouldn't give to just walk up there and ring his doorbell and say trick-or-treat or something right i mean look at this thing beautiful home or if he came out right now and he was like hey guys what are you doing where he went he came out and he was like you guys are grim life collective aren't you i can't get over that he has the perfect color of fall trees in his yard too like how did he plan that out like the perfect yellow the brightest red i've ever seen in a tree and it's a little sapling like did he do this on purpose well did you know that not only is stephen king horror but stephen king is fall and halloween with that being said we technically bookend this video like a like a shelf with good books on it we have stephen king's at the very beginning his house and also at the very end as it should be as it should be i feel like every time we come to bangor and we do a stephen king video we have to start it here and one day he'll come out one day he'll be home and be like get off my lawn your video of pet cemetery was spooktacular like thank you mr king thank you with all seriousness if he ends up watching this we love you much respect with that being said from bangor maine in front of stephen king's house thank you for joining us on another grim adventure and as always happy halloween happy halloween oh that wind is phenomenal yankee candle thank you
