like the video and subscribe right now or evil bell pepper will be haunting your dreams tonight people who have had their car pimped on pimp my ride what has become of your car and what was your experience like overall no proof but a story believe it if you want i don't care there was a dude at my school who we called lollipop as he always had a lollipop in his mouth the kid always seemed three to four years older than all of us but was chill and knew a lot about hip-hop so we pulled around with him he was really into cars and one day drove to school in the green sparkle laurader that was on pimp my ride apparently he bought it on ebay it had huge subs in the back and tvs and the headrest etc he spent the day giving people rides in it lali seemed like he was on top of the world people more or less lost interest over time a couple of years later he said it drove like but i saw him now many years later driving it around town when i was home for the holidays it's at least more relevant than everyone else just saying that no one will answer and yeah i think the novelty factor would eventually wear off and it would just get annoying i've heard a lot of stories about them basically they make your car look really sweet aesthetically but they don't really fix the car you'll have sweet subwoofers and pimp in hub caps but your transmission will still be shot and the suspension will still be gone so if your car was before it'll still be now but at least it'll look cool sitting in your driveway i remember that i once saw a pmr evasive episode it was the only episode of its kind that i've ever seen most of the cars featured in this episode had been stolen jacked broken into etc i think there was literally one guy who had actually bothered to take precautions to protect his new car this is because everyone who is featured on pmr appear to live in a ghetto so it seems like a stupid idea to give them a nice whip in the first place i don't even understand why or how the producers didn't realize this would happen not someone who has been on pimp my ride but my car got the tires replaced and it drives better now i'm sort of the same i had a headlight out but i replaced it so now i can see better and don't have to worry about getting pulled over when they brought you in to see your car you should've lost your like everyone on the show only saw one episode where the guy walked away with a decent ride he played some sob story about raising his siblings and driving a pose they discover the car is actually two different cars welded together they just replaced the whole thing with a sign i actually remember that episode one of the craziest things i've seen someone driving lol i couldn't believe that there are about 70 episodes of pimp my ride if all of them featured u.s citizens and about six percent of u.s citizens have used reddit that means there are about four people who have used riddid before and had their car pimped considering that pimp my ride ended in 2007 it is highly unlikely that one of them is an active redditor now my girlfriend worked at a dealership where they had one come in pt crews a 20k worth of extra put into it she said it sat on their showroom floor for over a year and sold for less than 7k update trying to find the car but having some trouble gf said it had a giant subwoofer painted like a moon with a whole space interior standard douche monitors in the back of the back seat headrests purple paint job with galaxy graphics update 2 apparently this car was never on the actual pimp my ride but was done by a similar company in utor false info from the girlfriend guess i'll have to withhold kisses from her as punishment i just looked up the value of a pt cruiser and you're exactly right according to the kbb i used pt with 60 to 80 000 miles in my regional market is worth approximately minus 13 000 due to its detrimental effects on life i loved it when the bed of the guy's truck was converted into a pool table i was like wow way to ruin a truck's entire purpose the entire show was based on ruining cars i remember that it wasn't even regulation size also what are the odds you ever park on an even surface so you can even play there was the one episode that i remember where they put a fish tank in the center console with two goldfish in it the tank was totally sealed so that no water would splash and there was a little straw sticking out for feeding the fish and air no filter no way to clean it i want to know what it looks like now because you know that after one day of parking that car in the sun those fish boiled and now that guy is driving around with two dead fish trapped in his center console one of the stupidest things i have ever seen that makes me think of this coaster's platform shoes with the goldfish in them well dead goldfish if they lived in a cold climate the dead moldy fish water would freeze come winter and crack the enclosure wide open so now you have that smell to deal with using living creatures as decor never works out well for anyone especially the critters i'm upvoting you because while i know it's a minuscule chance i also need to know what the duck happened to these people and their cars did they keep them did they sell them did they take some of the ridiculous mods off or did they mod them more or did a pimp my ride car meet another pimp my ride car and they fell in endless love and they made tiny little pimped cars together with their adorable little spoilers and tiny little superchargers and named them all afters a bit not me but my brother was on the episode with the wonder bread truck it's still running well but he's removed the large tvn skate ramp and put in a new radio and a smaller tv i've always wanted to make a show called pimp my pimp where you pimp up pimps and make them into pimping pimps so they get all the hoes and dude who had gotten his hearse pimped worked at a berger joint that i frequented my entire life here in orange county i asked him about it and he said that he had sold it as soon as he could and that it paid for a good chunk of college i remember an episode of top gear they spent over one hundred thousand dollars to upgrade some guy's ladder to something that actually looked like a pretty neat car and the owner hated it the first words out of his mouth was him complaining they turned it into a hot rod top gear never did that again never been on the show but i saw a pimp jack someone's ride on 8th and arch once although he might have been borrowing it of course he borrowed it and meant to take it back but never found the owner so he sold to another person in the hope that he would find him girl i work with her brother was on the show his car was such a pose literally bonded together to cars into one the show refused to pimp his ride so they pimped out a brand new sign xb word with some people son of a lacquer's player slash owner something out in la tried to buy the car for over dollar sign 100k but the kid wanted to keep it saw it driving around town for a few years after what do you think are the chances that someone whose car was pimped would actually see this and respond with proof it's a long shot i know doesn't hurt to try though there is a redditor who went on the show he's done amaz before sounds pretty shitty if i recall they remove all the good stuff tvztc before giving the car back and left him with a fire risk mess hopefully dude is still around and will drop in here the best parts for me was when zibit would first show up at the door of the lucky ghetto dweller if it was a chick she'd start squealing and jumping up and down and dry humping him we'd be treated to a second orgasmic frenzy as soon as her new ride was revealed some of the chicks were hot zibit must have tapped some of that ass after the camera stopped rolling pimp my right turned in to ride my pimp i'm a little late with this but back in high school my neighbor got this done one day he found a lump on his nuts and thought he had caught something from a girl so he didn't tell anyone after a few months went by and the lump was still there he decided to show his mom and turns out it was cancer next he finds out he only has a few months left to live and the make-a-wish foundation shows up his maker wishes to have his ride pimped mad mike shows up and they did the whole thing in our school parking lot as the entire school watched he had a 96 ford thunderbird that they put some subwoofers and tvs in and then painted it so that the color changes from purple to green a week later he totals the car and it has sat in his driveway under a tarp ever since my best friend got his ride pimped i was even in the episode it was an 89 maxima my mom sold him the car ran like a turd even broke down while they were filming kick-ass paint job reverse gold wing doors cotton candy machine in the trunk and after they were done it still ran like a turd he parted it out they put the reverse wing doors in filmed it then took them out and made it regular cause they are illegal i went down to gas with him a couple of times and the main guy with the black hair seemed coked out the guy with spiked hair had two chicks with him that looked like old strippers from the 80s nobody could sit in the back and they didn't fix the suspension so the tires would rub when he turned it ended up getting impounded i think polished a turd it was a turd it was just a turd out there i was on inside west coast customs in 2012 not pmr but run by the same crew minus a bit sat i had entered a video contest sponsored by monster energy where you submit a one o'clock video that explains why you wanna be on the show my dad has had a 1972 book skylark since he was a kid that broke down when he and my mom were still dating dropped the drive shaft so he had it towed to his mom's house where it sat until she died 30 years later his car became a long-running joke in the family because it was unused and collected so much dust so i thought i'd try and give the contest a shot so that i could actually see it running in my lifetime i know very little about cars but when i received the call that i had won i was still so stoked to go out to corona ca for a week to spend time out there they sent a hauler out to pick up his car and we'd fly out to meet it out there i didn't really learn a whole lot and a lot of the labor that we did was just for the cameras i was fine with that because i would have screwed something up anyway but i could tell my dad wanted to do a little more we also didn't have much of a say in how it turned out which really bugged us too there was a certain crew member who we kept butting heads with and tried to avoid during our stay once it was all said and done they brought the car back to oh and dropped it off you could tell how hastily the work had been done since we weren't a celebrity slash top priority and they were only really working to fulfill the contract with monster we actually had to send it back out there because it came back undrivable who knows if they did any further work on it before the sent it back because it still leaks transmission fluid and has only been driven twice since it was returned i worked with someone who had a connection to the show he said that a lot of the cars would get stripped down before the owner got them back here that flat screen and box they show he got flat screen and box mounts when it was all said and done the more interesting part is what he had to say about the mechanics and the experts he would point them out and say that guy's an actor he doesn't know a wrench from a screwdriver i guess they just read scripts and some mexican dude does all of the intricate detail work and probably gets paid half of what those dumb ass actors are making my cousin was on pimp my ride he had the most worthless beat up vw bus he got picked and they did some pretty cool stuff and some pretty dumb stuff to it they painted it lime green and the best part was they added a little green stop sign that circle that could be operated with a switch would love one of those on the freeway they also added a mechanical surfboard rack to the top the car couldn't fit in the garage with it on so he had to remove it they added a flat screen tv with and box or maybe a ps3 as well as a clothes dryer so he could dry his clothes after surfing senseless wetsuits and dryers don't mix all these gadgets were murder on the battery so the car would need to be jumped regularly also while they did a lot of cosmetic stuff they didn't touch the engine apparently so after a while the car wouldn't run when he agreed to be on the show they made him sign papers saying he wouldn't sell the car for some amount of time couple years and when he did sell it they told him how he could and couldn't advertise it eventually he did sell it though not sure how much he made but it had to be more than the couple hundred bucks he paid for it all in all and not but positive experience also what's up with all the commentary on poor neighborhoods cars get stolen everywhere and they don't always go to poor neighborhoods my cousin lived in cyprus and they did an episode of extreme mackie of a home edition right down the street from my old house in west garden grove these are two socal cities you've never seen two more upper middle class places and like all celebrity curiosities like these it generated a lot of interest at first but then it was just whatever i passed that house a dozen times a year going to my parents place they appear to be continuing to live a comfortable suburban life mad mike from the show is actually a family friend and i remember him telling us when the show was popular that almost none of the people on the show actually worked on the cars most were actors who would come in and start or finish the work before getting off camera so that the actual professionals could do their jobs i'm not sure where but i once read an interview with a dude whose car was on pimp my ride he said the car was still a piece of crap and there were no mechanical repairs but he ended up selling it for like 15 000 or something when they asked him if he missed the car he said hell yes you've been visited by noodle dogger you will be blessed with best cup noodles for eternity but only
