Adventure is in my blood finding treasures big or small and having fun is what it's all about with my wife Melissa and our three kids life is pretty full but there isn't a mountain we can't climb together this isn't your ordinary antique store my name is Alex Archibald and this is curiosity hey everyone it is bright and early it's 6:30 in the morning and I'm waking the kids up they're loving it because well every kid loves to get up at 6:30 in the morning right guys hmm they say no but it's because we were headed on the highway and going to the house the children and my wife for him to see the home that we purchased Potter's House for the first time today I'm really excited about that and hopefully the kids will eventually wake up and like it to day and Jason how did dad wake you up this morning wait no first you tried to take off my papers yes and then you grabbed my ukulele and started playing so it's a weak time Jason [Music] nobody stopped and then I got just came back I don't know why he's complaining not every kid gets serenaded by his dad with the ukulele first thing in the morning another to wake up the 14 year old that'll be fun I am very excited for Melissa and the kids to come see the house it's a really long trip about two and a half hours so I'm not sure how long they're gonna be able to stay awake for before they pass out that's okay we're gonna head down the highway and hopefully get there before 10 a.m. and I'm hoping to get a bunch of work done while we're there too we have a whole bunch of stuff going to donation we want to get some work done on the kitchen and hopefully get prepped and ready for next week where I have a lot of work plan but if all things work out the kids will come and enjoy the house and hopefully they'll think we made a good investment so off we go to check on this week's adventure and for the kids to see the house for the first time stopped to get gas and look who's here it's Josh everybody he's coming on the trip today - we're taking separate vehicles that I got my wife's Volvo he's got his truck there we're almost at the house maybe another amount about 45 minutes or so to go and then see we can't get a little bit more work done on the kitchen we have to take some stuff into charity today and just do a little general cleaning I want to check on the upstairs and make sure the drywall looks all right I hear that it's ready to go or the plaster I should say and the kids are inside getting a snack and stretching their legs so next stop will be the house okay we're here guys it's gonna have a look they've not seen the house yet this is the first time well still kinda looks like a haunted house on the outside you guys gotta come see how big the art is Jason's the first one so we're gonna use the front door does grandpa fix the lock for us last time we're out here so it's working again through just using the back door before I'll watch you step it might be a little bit slippery so kind of a construction site right now we got to do the tour though you got the door Joss is with this okay well - do you want to show Melissa the kitchen okay and then we'll do a tour I'll show you guys upstairs is it weird to be here finally in person a lot of women don't like it so far well no they said we needed to have a female point of view in here let's explain something this floor is sloped right because this part of the house so we can't put this thing anywhere else because the the plumbing for the dishwasher has to be here so we have a certain height all that cast has this one under the window yeah for all those people who are saying to put this thing down by the window okay Abby will you go stand next to the window we'll give a comparison so that sink would be basically a foot off the ground if we put it by the window sir before all you're watching at home that's the reason why we didn't put it there and also I don't want to spend the money putting a window in that's gonna say talk to people while doing that and you'll have that whole top of the counter is gonna be a bar you can put stuff on too but people we're talking about lack of counter space but this is all gonna be counter all the way around yeah no this is gonna be counter all the way across no but I'm saying there's a counter of both - whoo that's gonna be a bar so I think today josh is probably what are you working on getting the I'm gonna do this now that we know what we're doing yeah I'll probably do this one as well okay no well that it's enough to get started anyway yeah hey while Josh gets his stuff unpacked from the vehicle I'm gonna show the family around the inside of the house give me okay I'm loading yeah all right okay guys let's go look around okay guys so this is the planet this room that we're in right now is main floor laundry I painted that this is the only room the whole house is pretty well painted I left the original 1950s cupboards on the wall and this and this is going to be this is going to be what is here this is the washing machine so there's any washer dryer and it's gonna have a sink here like a mop sink for main floor laundry yeah and then my grandma coming off the side I hung that coat rack last long and then this is kind of for putting boots and shoes oh yeah that shelf yeah I thought we could put a picture look a nice picture or something up on the wall there so this room is and the floor is dusty right now from all the work but the floor is just about done in here's just need to wash so this room is like the clean room more or less even though it's completely dirty there's not a lot of water to mop but so let's keep walking well it's main floor bath so the bathtub goes right in the back and then it has the toilet that goes there so I'm just waiting for the guys to come and plumb this up this is gonna be our first working bathroom that one's just about done yeah the towels look cool we're gonna leave those tiles just clean them so that rooms just about ready to get plumbed in for a bathroom Patrick was sanding all this hallway last week oh and this is the trim I thought we were gonna maybe do an arch here but I decided to put the original trim back on and leave it as an open walkway so I was returning that this needs to be primed at some point like the layout it's not more anything where I thought it was even though I saw the mouth I drew the magic yeah way bigger than you'd think yeah it feels way too good it is well then I'm saying I'm gonna stand in the doorway here but you can see living room there living room here and then dining room right there and a Josh unless he moves he's gonna be standing right there and then kitchen beautiful kitchen I must say oh and that's the door so that's the old bathroom door so Josh wanted to use it as architectural detail so I thought hey that's pretty cool fancy paneling ones it's trim deliverable yeah it's nice because it kind of goes along with like it ties into the door at the back like the same shape yeah we have a secret plan for for that which we'll reveal on a future episode I won't give it away right now you guys want to go upstairs actually hang on we have to go downstairs first cuz I can change the furnace filter okay I got most of the cobwebs off and it still some down here and haven't swept up yet so I'd say watch your head but you're all shorter than me so if I'd be okay so the the basement still needs a bit of cleaning but I've got to change the furnace filter it's been getting clogged up so layout of the basement woodshop over there which is still equipped with a working table saw as we know this was the laundry room down here but nobody likes going to a basement to do laundry especially what it's creepy no this is this was the laundry room this was just kind of a little workshop area to the right the cistern or secret room is actually accessible through a hole right around the corner that's where that was you want to pick your head in there Jason that's what the secret hole-in-the-wall is there's a whole room in there not that much that means there's a few goats you guys ready to go upstairs and see the top floor I haven't even seen it yet to see what the repairs the plaster look like okay guys let's go upstairs I was in another house use this one just a few days ago you know that shirt was in the Attic that I found the big log Anna you know that one is for hanging pictures on them it would go like just about a foot down from the edge of the wall it was a bead strip for hanging your pictures on cuz they hang it off of a big long wire and have a hook on top oh yeah but I've been saving this is an artist's house it might be kind of cool to put that back up and then you guys can hang pictures of something right here yeah like in every room here even in here yeah and then the other thing was you know that big giant glass whatever it is upstairs yeah window yeah I think that was a sliding pocket door that would have separated the rooms all right yeah if it's big enough these dividers that were on the main floor the guys still had it miss and the lady remember she came through the other video for something she said well that's where do you see bookcases here because there are built-in bookcases probably with sliding pocket doors or something along those lines so I think they cut off some of the room divider I think it was a sliding pocket door yet but what I don't know is that we have the hardware that would make it slide still work they ripped out all those but I think that's what we have on the other no you just work on building your cabinets back because that'll be a future project anyway we're gonna head upstairs you can kind of see the the color muchos down here is kind of a warm gray if some people were like oh I don't like it but it's you know it's warm it's nice it's kind of neutral no can't please everybody that's true but the walls this was the yellow room and you can tell from how much they had to skim coat the walls that it required quite a bit of skim coat this he says is ready for primer which means that when I come back on the weekend it's gonna be my job to basically get this all painted and ready to go and I'll probably have Patrick if he's up to it continue stripping off the the wood down to the original finish because that's a big difference when you get to the the nice wood that's underneath all this but we're doing the baseboards and that and he's gonna be up here a while but you guys want to check out the secret attic okay so open that door yeah see look that's what I'm saying you went in there and you didn't even know the secret door was in there yeah we have a light that was run up there this is my favorite room I think the whole house yeah what do you guys think is it cozy yeah you like it a VL it's your favorite color yeah we might have to figure out something to do with the vapor barrier but so as you can see there's still lots of stuff I haven't sorted through and done anything with yet so kind of waiting until the rest of the house is cleared out and then I can start bringing things down and going through it what do you think Mel yeah let's see there's still boxes full of stuff everywhere this is what I think oh maybe these weren't big enough to be pocket doors but there's definitely a lot of trim up here feel free grab a broom what would this be cool room what would you do with this room Jason like what covering all the insulation yeah you'd have a bed yeah what if there's like a hammock or something that's swung around up no you could build one in what do you think Stephen is this room pretty cool yeah it's like a fort so whoever had at bedroom downstairs would have had a whole secret room upstairs - I thought I was want to know like when you pull like a Murphy bed or something like it falls down yeah oh you mean like the hatch for getting up here no it's a full staircase the hatch no it's a full-on staircase you let's go downstairs it's a look at that room guys that is the treasure room this room is still full of all kinds of stuff that has not been sorted through so for those watching at home there will have to be another video here of us going through this because who knows what's in all these boxes and bins and bins like Johnny we know for sure there's hats hmm smartypants yeah I know this is it the goal is to get some of these rooms completely done and then I can sort and sift and then once they're done so this room will get painted and then the wood strip down probably these other rooms will get finished off and then I can start bringing things out and sorting it this washroom need to be finished up there's another clawfoot tub over there and some of this stuff is garbage so I'll have to rent the trailer for the next weekend so we can start hauling all this out but nice high ceilings yeah and no more cracks in the roof look this this ceiling was completely falling apart up top there and he did a fantastic job getting it all renovated I'll bring my original light fixtures with me to that I've been keeping for project just like this I have a lot of teens 20s light fixtures at the store they'll be perfect in this house so we can go downstairs one mission that we have for this weekend and we're just down here for the day today josh is working on the kitchen well while he's doing that we have to go around the house and find some things that can go to charity now the last time I had a charity come up they kind of let me down and didn't bring a truck that would pick everything up this time I found a place in town here that's willing to accept it they open at 1:00 o'clock which means we have a few hours to go around the house and try and find little things which I'm not really planning on selling like this clock it's a modern piece it's usable not something that I want to resell so that can go to charity there's sorts of stuff sitting around here that I've been keeping that I didn't want to throw out because it's good usable things we're gonna go donate that this afternoon so we'll make a pile downstairs somewhere here and get it ready to take out in Melissa's car but we should put some rubber gloves on I think you guys are gonna help with this because the house is still dusty and I say that as I'm not wearing gloves myself and I never did go through all these 70 and rpms that were sitting here and for those of you who are unfamiliar seventy-eights are made their single sided well I mean not single they've got us one song per side they're made of a very brittle sort of wax that doesn't mean they're awful they're really heavy and they break real easy so they're not super popular now there are some good artists and early jazz and blues however some artists and songs have not stood the test of time like a song called der Fuehrer's face probably less popular after world war ii some artist names now you don't hear very often either I'm gonna go through it see if there's any you know if there's Elvis I mean there's Bing Crosby there but he's very common so you know we're looking for things like early rock and roll looking for things that might be like jazz or blues no we'll have a look and see if there's any in here there's one that says just for dancing by the Californians that could be something trying to pull it any one's that might have a little bit more flexibility but truthfully the rest of these I'm going to donate to charity because they're not worth a heck of a whole lot and don't really want to pack these back to the city here's one you might recognize Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer this is the original version by Gene Autry the cowboy see if there's any others here's one it's by Pat Boone now at this time Pat was mainly a kind of a rock and roller he later became more of a gospel singer doing a lot more the religious sort of faith albums but that would be stolen he was rock n roll Gene Autry Peter Cottontail blue skirt walls have Frank Frankie Yankovic you might recognize that last name that's Weird Al Yankovic's dad many people didn't know that Weird Al's dad was a poker player so I guess that's me where he got his quirkiness from but yeah that's Weird Al's dad if you ever wanna know these like the original dremel tool yeah do you see this yeah I was looking at this one dollar for my garage sale or athirst or maybe it's cool it's cool like cool graphics just go to the 10 commandments inside 10 commandments probably because this game is of the occult thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's et game no oh look it's Patrick the house is haunted by bet that fits on top of et yeah when they went trick-or-treating yet oh yes yeah that's cute I bet that's probably always missing from this game it's nice as a lychee that you're with it yeah that's neat Ian we're digging through that's neat now I have someone who's interested in buying this so we have to empty it out if there's anything left inside of it wants you open it up try it at the bottom first go to squeeze in the botton and pull the cover door open is there anything in there we'll check the top oh won't you try it here plays the song Jason I don't know if that's gonna sit up for a living [Music] [Music] the most anybody's ever played that piano in the last probably decade or more the kids are helping to put some garbage outside that will throw it next week and even the lights got in this is the less fun part there's no exploration Josh is cutting wood and I'm waiting for the electrician to show up but I think he's here right now we're gonna try to figure out where the plugs need to go before we start wiring normally what we use in there yeah and we can just put the washers in the screws okay to kind of pull it off from the wall a little bit and then you guys went through your backsplash along and then with the cover this is gonna be about a quarter inch or something yeah that's not good you can go you don't so you can get covers okay so I'll create that one two three prong D applying I guess we have a and then another one great around here somewhere and then the electric for the clutch fan all of us need to be wired up okay this was the flip fan wiring so it wasn't working we just let the breaker capped it and it's just kind of hanging out okay so um is the music peak pretty low slope national that's a high peak okay we're able to get to the wall you're pretty easy oh yeah yeah there's a hatch up top to get into the anime and it's walkable up there because the way they had it before isn't yeah so you guys are putting the covers here then you know this one's gonna go there this one's going there and they range hoods cards okay yeah leave it well we do is we do have general boxes okay that's like a plaster later though oh yeah let's go black to plaster okay well we'll get the cabinet in place and then and it's just going to be screwed on so it needs to come down easy yeah and I'll have to show you in the what's gonna be main floor laundry we need an outlet in the 228 foot in place and we have to 20 minutes then they used to have a dryer so we have a long cable with the dryer attachment on it downstairs that like extension for an extension bill cardille so we just it's so variable in the panel but I'll let you guys know make sure it's all okay okay so we'll walk downstairs and check out so we're cut this is plywood chemistry we're kind of just gonna stay in this plywood to kind of match work as a backsplash so the idea is it's gonna be washing machine here so we'll need a plug kind of somewhere around here the nearest plug is right there currently so washer and then dryer so we'll need to 20 on this wall that's kind of the main thing I was worried about is getting this so we can I have not been brave enough to climb through there myself but the heating and plumbing guys been in there several times and most of them came back out this still might be one in there just gonna lined up Josh and we've decided not to put the microwave above the range we've taken your suggestions youtubers and we're not gonna put it there I guess it can cause some heat or ventilation issues of the city up top plus I'm not a huge fan of microwaves anyway yeah that was my wife a Melissa she doesn't yeah we don't really use a microwave for much I know a lot of people do if they'd ever decide they want to put one and they can put it on top of the counter or another spot for it but it's looking good looking kitchen II Josh wraps things up in the kitchen Melissa the kids and I are off downtown to drop off some donations then we have a couple more stops to make we're gonna take the kids for lunch and then drop in and say hi to Mary so let's go and drop some donations off and head over for lunch so for everybody wondering with my opinion wives of the kitchen in the mudroom I think it's looking really good I like the flow of the kitchen working really well I understand why they had to put them to sink where they did unless I wanted to get my knees on the sink for sure had to go there and I think it is going to end up looking perfect I think that the way that everything's set up is gonna work the best for the space that we have and also the colors I you guys know I'm biased I like that color I know there's some people that are like but I I got a love a color so my opinion I give it a thumbs up I can't wait to actually see what they do with it because I think they're using a lot of creativity and implementing a lot of the pieces of the house into the art so should be interesting but for the past almost two months I've been coming to this town I've stayed in one hotel that was an adventure but I found one that's been really great and has almost become like family since I've been here they've had to put up with me and my crazy friends I've brought through for the past two months and they've done a great job dealing with our insanity but I wanted to introduce you to the owner of the hotel is a great guy and yeah it's a great hotel all right this is so this is mr. pack long so packed how long do you have the hotel for oh we bought the green head in 1990 okay and were you always from the town of Provos here yes we were in poco since 1985 okay so local and you had a restaurant before this yes we did we came that's the reason we came to Pablo's to lease a brand new restaurant for five years and not for the five years we bought that we back well it well it's been a fantastic place to stay so what's your favorite thing about owning a hotel oh it's the people that we met every day that we meet every day as you say and and it's never the same every day you get up and you look forward to coming to work that's the exciting part well it's been an absolute pleasure staying in your hotel and I'm looking for to coming back again next weekend - perfect we'll see ya thank you so I did what you normally don't do when someone's joining you for lunch I ordered for them and right now josh has no idea what I ordered for his launch unless these guys told him yeah so I I think he didn't like it you guys watching at home might think it's crazy but it wasn't when it comes out the only thing I'll say Josh is that when I told Stephen what I ordered for you he said he might have lost a tiny bit of respect for Josh he said I thought he was cool until you ordered that okay go right here so this is Josh's apparently favorite pizza what's on that pizza Josh it's like a Hawaiian and you add pepperoni even better if you had bacon but this is spot on pretty good so a lot of people are not a fan there's a big controversy about Hawaiian pizza don't ask me why but now I don't mind the wine I'm just not used to having a pepperoni but I am into it I can get on board before we go for lunch so we're making a pit stop to go see Mary and share some really good news with her and back after what was a very nice visit with Mary and I was proud to let her know that the interview and people learning of her again she has been nominated now for the Order of Canada which is the highest merit that you can possibly get for contribution of Arts and Culture in Canada so very cool and I hope she went Melissa the kids are on their second trip to the thrift store in town to take a load of stuff for donation while josh is in the basement rummaging around and trying to find trim that he can upcycle for the kitchen project meanwhile I'm trying to find more stuff I can donate and generally get stuff cleaned up around here because next week the dumpster is going to come back and dumpsters and trailer and we're gonna have to fill that thing up so I'm gonna come up with a game plan for after the weekend and keep working around the house but I've only got about another hour or so left today before we have to hit the road this is just a quick visit to get a little bit of work done but let me show you how the kitchen is progressing so Stephen how's it looking it's looking pretty good yeah it's feeling kitchen lincolni job she's got some good ideas yeah he's doing a good job yeah no one's starting to feel more like the kitchen with the put in place and the counters going in I have to figure out what to do with this lighting and go take that piece off from up top there it's looking pretty gross right now I might do some buddy New York wrote me and they wanted this thing I'm not gonna sell it to them because trust me it's it's pretty gross I wouldn't want to ship that up in a pen but you can finally cheaper probably back home but it's gonna look great once it's all done let's go around let's see if we find small stuff to donate all right I had a fellow from the local museum pop by and he thinks he might have some baseboard trims that we might be able to repurpose for the house so we're gonna make a trip over to the local museum and see if there's some stuff for the home the nice thing about the town is that everything is just minutes away the museum's is probably about four or five blocks away from the house and I head over there and check it out see what we can see well here we are now normally the museum isn't open this time of year is it well may 16 to September 16 and this makes me feel old to see a phone booth sitting in a museum I've said it before whenever I go to museum and see a phone booth I'm like really but they don't exist anymore little bakery cart train station here no train station is gone now yeah but these are remnants of it okay so this where you put your railway memorabilia Earthquakes yeah sighs mom flamethrower wait Wow how'd you guys come across all this da Vinci got Leonardo da Vinci 1480 part of a series of weapons drawn by Leonardo da Vinci in the 1480s and they actually made this off of his drawings he was quite the inventor DaVinci was so did a fire did they ever get this thing going Wow like to see that go that's quite the suit the chips they stop that suitcase huh yeah it looks like a big suitcase with your head poking out of it yeah that's what it is it just popped oh that's really cool hold the bottle now I'm told that some of Mary's pots were made with clay from the bordel area and that there's a consideration that perhaps the indigenous peoples made pottery there themselves they found a bunch of pottery I think in the boat'll area it should make sense that that was the case sorry there's so much clay there yeah I see the exhibit down below really need the back in the 60s and 70s there wasn't as much for protecting historic sites as there is now and that I believe is it mg o 815 German World War one trench machine gun it had a water-cooled jacket that was on the outside of the barrel which is what that big round pieces up top they're really common captured item and this came out of a legion which means probably back when they brought it back from World War one you can see they're captured by the 14th Canadian I believe 14th Canadian somebody's gonna correct me on this as they always do 14th might have been vimy ridge there was a lot of Canadians in Vimy Ridge and there's another one we have a trophy gun another MgO a 15 that's a tripod and some of these you could actually get a giant sled mount that would go on the bottom scary thing you would want that point not you do strip do you speak Pat's and the vehicle drawings and Paroles day we get the best parking spot in here don't ya okay and there's a picture of him there so this is from his office some of his books on Main Street insurance is what the judge did when he wasn't busy being a lawyer who's off hunting and actually that's a pretty big thing out here isn't it yeah oh yeah this is where I put it all and I got a bunch of this I got that too in one piece fell don't put all this off it looks good this is a dicks to do dick Brower on Main Street great camera yeah like I say June 13 is our big day a whole team have 50 kids come over here and so a lot of this was donated locally from people who had businesses in town and yeah sometimes you wonder where your local history goes it's nice at there's places like this to preserve it and I noticed you guys don't seem to have one of Mary's pots in here oh no I don't have you on it all so the snow is so hard that you can actually if you're careful walk on top of it oh just about without falling through it's really crunchy and crispy out here today well I was able to find some extra baseboard trim that the museum wasn't gonna use well make sure to put it to good use and I'll have to look and see if I can find something to donate on behalf of Mary now this board had a bad split so we filled the seem have a clamps right now we're gonna let that dry I have to wipe some of the glue off after while that's drying josh is over there working on trimming out the door and I like that it's it's recessed like that now because it actually looks like you know a magical sideways door is built into the counter it's gonna be really cool and apparently in every project Josh Bersani hides in our field somewhere so that's gonna be behind the upper cabinet so years from now somebody's gonna peel that back and see it Garfield they're looking at some measurements it's cute and Josh if they want to check out more of your art online where should they go uh you can go on Instagram or Facebook both the same name it's at my hands gallery and so why is it my hands gallery oh because I'm a finger painter yeah they're a lot better than the dumb Garfield oh come on that's cute so my hands gallery on Julia my a KN b s GA ll d ry and you're on their Instagram I'm gonna zoom up on your hat there is what she taught yeah that's the other Instagram flag to instagrams and that means maker and Cree right it was you got yeah I'm not making cream yeah I'm Plains Cree but I'm not sure exactly which Cree it is so if you're Korean watching don't be judgy yeah nice check it out guys thank you Josh and I are kind of digging underneath the counters because we never really went through here take a silver tray oh yeah they're petrified though that's all right you know that it's funny I know what that is no this is that's for the wagon no this is a Firestone ashtray tire like it would have an ash tree inside is that yeah they're not super you know this may be worth 20 bucks or so if you have my ashtray let's cool them tire I have a friend who actually builds quarter-scale cars $5,000 worth of goodwill let's see some pots well there's something wrapped up in this let's see what was worthy of wrapping up feels heavy it could just be a lot for clay to that we're gonna be all you know I thought that what is Olympic Li yeah okay but you know I found a lot of actual pottery and sculptures and stranger places than this you know apple juice containers some soon drift of bulbs little glass bulbs rocks what we'll have to do is really go through all this stuff once we start you know this is like petrified huh it looked like petrified wood now it's just old would not petrified yet leave it there long enough telephone directory what year 1969 it's been sitting there a while success it you're looking to do oh yeah another little laugh oh oh nice does it have an MB on it it has a different signature it's the hugger Mary that must have been yours yeah she did change your signature it's too bad it's got a bit of a cry that might have happened in firing actually cuz it looks like it the glaze goes into your crown yeah it does okay we'll take that one and same with you yeah it could be why she kept it down there maybe she wasn't super proud of it it is good actually some other glaze says Samara Elle England okay it looks like it's broken yep a game of oh okay hmm if your kids are acting up you could use the Parker Brothers game of manners for children what an exciting game excuse me this must be Old Salem Massachusetts New York and London simply one a Parker Brothers first games probably did not catch on with the kids at the time probably be here with parents is this like someone reads it what should a boy do if he wishes more pudding for dinner and number nine and then I think you just let you pick one Jacob say no again it's like cards against humanity' but the polite version start a letter to Aunt Fang all right all right well it looks like a couple down there turn a somersault this game dude is it's like is it version one of that's got it that actually looks quite okay that's cool he's like Frank bone fragments or there's a I found a lot of bone these are not bone these are definitely something these look like I don't know remnants of pottery run offers yeah or something okay I'm gonna hand this populist before or my son Jason's behind me I'll go ahead it to him okay Jason you be really careful with this it does look like a volcano's he'd be very careful hand up to Momo okay and what I realize is that this is hollow that there is a later if these boards come off oh yeah there's something in here oh there yeah there definitely is is there stuff in here dude I just noticed that this cabinet in the front has a big hollow spot dude that just skeptical made my heart pound okay oh okay water is stuff in there stuff secret compartments okay well this would have been stuff for target practice out the front window yeah well I'm guessing this is if she was doing pottery or teaching people these would have been tools all right so pottery things you could you know to make different impressions in the clay oh that's an old and atomizer that's actually kind of cool this is a welder that's kind of cool I will you know I'll keep that there for now but that is kind of a neat piece a big rock so this whole thing it might go on further okay birds okay let's see we can't pull just this one piece off see what's underneath it and we have okay well there's some stuff looks like maybe some mice that lived in here at one point oh no no no look that's her mark that you push into the pots Mary boards tub these are her that's for centennial for 1967 for Canada okay that that's coming back with me right now that's the original stamp that you'd use in her pottery that was a good find and that was buried underneath this piece of wood by accident by accident okay these are coming and these go over these are front pockets for applying today world's oldest battery that's another impression that's when you [Music] okay well I mean finding those stamps was worth it right there that is super cool that was really cool oh I probably went one of them went on yeah and then you push it in so finial okay and yeah these look like 22 shells yeah no tresspassing over here let's see Mike get capped see that's the hole they probably had another purpose or use but that is a bunch of I think those 22 caliber the 22 or 9 so is what I know cool well that was good find and there's another counter like this on the other side but it doesn't have a base inside of it so finding all sorts of surprises around the house still this piece is a piece of pottery that is marked on the bottom very clearly that it was part of the 76 Montreal Olympics when they had the pottery exhibit in display sitting in the front porch with dirt inside of it used as a flower pot you have to check the bottom of these things because you never know when you're gonna find a piece of Olympic history in a piece of Canadian ceramic history just sitting in the front lots of good finds even still when I thought the house to just about empty do you never know those treasures all around every corner so we were just here for the afternoon but Josh was able to get some more cabinetry on the hood range more or less roughed in and also some of the trim finished around the door which is our centerpiece of the bar it's looking pretty good josh is busy working away back there and I found some more treasure which is always fun when you're in this business back next week we are going to be painting the upstairs doing lots more work and hopefully getting the doors and some of the tips and put back together I'll be bringing my work electricians are coming next well what do you think of the house yeah it was really nice I liked it there yeah well what did you like about and you guys were up in the attic almost the whole time playing do you think it'd be a cool play house up there would it be a fort oh yeah yeah it's Stephen what did you like my favorite room was probably the but honestly house like design that it was like you like that color that sort of teal yeah some people on the internet don't like that color I think they're wrong hey what do you think about Josh's ideas for the kitchen well maybe I should spend more time talking to me would have some you guys glad you came out today yeah okay so next time you guys see the house it's gonna be just a little finished what'd you think about that sounds cool I'm excited well now you know what
