this is the cecil hotel there is no section we cannot touch tonight we're going into the elevator elevator the infamous elevator yeah everyone that has ever been here says that there is just something horrific in this entire an hour what an hour it's the only room that has a bed hundreds of times wide open yeah there's no carpet there's nothing it's like he wants to stay away from the cecil hotel leave my room hey guys this is [Music] oh [Music] literally standing by the door right now freaking amazing guys i love it how many people did you kill five bro i can't do that i can't climb that dude if you fell off of that ladder yeah we're dead you're going right over the railing oh that way your wish just came true wow do not get out on any of the floors if the elevator starts to go up you've been allowed into the other world oh my god do whatever it takes to get some sort of activity who's talking to us open it towards yourself no what's up everybody and welcome back to tfil and our 25 weeks of haunted abandoned paranormal exploration adventure video series that we're on right now i think we're well beyond 25 weeks to be honest how do we know that actually josh is with us i love these guys been hanging out there for a while now the energy's great i'm excited for tonight and if you can't tell it says stay on main but this is the cecil hotel oh yeah and as far as i know other than ghost adventures and backpackings themselves we are the only team besides them to get full-blown permission to have the entire building to ourselves every room the water tank there's even a basement here that we can get into okay everything this is big like dude getting on the roof that's that is that is that's insane there is no section we cannot touch tonight there's five of us so right that's like two and a half floors each something like that oh yeah 2.7 [Music] eight three four one five eight three four one five eight that's definitely probably do you remember as that much of it i was homeschooled to make this video even more interesting and fun because we have so much time here and we happen to know two well-known paranormal investigators in the area linda the ghost hunter will be joining us we've seen our videos and patty negri who we joined at the biltmore last video they are both coming tonight and we are going to have two different investigations happen in the same building with two different techniques to see kind of what the difference is it's almost like an experiment yeah oh oh and what i'm gonna do is we're gonna split into two groups they're gonna pick teams so linda's gonna pick three of us patty's gonna pick three of us and then that's how we're gonna we're splitting perfect we're gonna split this yeah we have two little down to cover there's too many rooms and if you guys don't know anything about the cecil a little history on it is right now the cecil hotel was built in 1924 and opened for business in 1927 spanning 19 floors with 600 rooms soon after the impact of the great depression rained upon the cecil the surrounding area it created what is now known as skid row by the 1960s the cecil had become known as the suicide starting with their first documented tragedy in 1931 by a poison adding to the infamy in 1962 a 27 year old woman jumped from the ninth floor where she landed on a pedestrian killing the bull at least a dozen more suicides have been recorded although some still remain unknown whether they were suicide accidental or something far more insidious as the infamy of the cecil grew the room prices declined leading it to become a frequent hideout for drug dealers bank robbers and other criminals hotel guests were often robbed attacked and even killed with the most notorious unsolved case coming in 1964. but the history of violence at the cecil does not end there richard ramirez otherwise known as the night stalker was a serial killer and satanist suspected of killing no less than 38 people but only convicted of 13 murders he stayed at the hotel for weeks at a time from 1984 to 1985 in a room that we will visit witnesses and hotel staff believe that richard ramirez would discard evidence and his blood-covered clothing in the dumpsters of the hotel prior to heading up to his room to shower and go to sleep there's even a theory that ramirez had in fact killed a hotel guest in this room soon after an austrian serial killer stayed there in 1991 but again these are simply the documented guests how many other murderers slept well in the beds of the cecil is unknown in an attempt to rebrand the hotel and start anew the cecil was renamed stay on main but two years later a horrifying discovery was made elisa lam a 21 year old canadian tourist was reported missing on january 26 and not found until february 19 when her body was discovered in the water tower of the cecil after 18 days of investigation her body was discovered due to the fact that hotel guests were complaining about the low water pressure with one patron saying that the water was coming out black the most notorious part of the mysterious elisa lamb case is of course the five minutes of elevator surveillance footage although the case was formally closed as an accidental death many people still view it as unsolved perhaps directly linked to the hauntings known to fill the walls of the cecil many believe that the cecil hotel itself is haunted creating the near century worth grim acts while others believe the evil within the walls has grown as each guest leaves and that is what we're here to find out at the cecil hotel oh my jesus what are we doing what's the lift belief oh jesus cory do you know this uh the secret diesel knock yeah the cecil knock yeah what's the cecil knock yod i think this is legit there's no key you guys have free range in the entire hotel how about that oh okay just don't do any freaky inviting some of the staff oh who's some of the staff yeah i'm the only one that works here so so you want to join us yeah if i could could i join you guys yeah sure hey do i have to put a shirt on yeah we're gonna get them one size yeah i'm getting kind of hot in here i don't know oh wait but it's contagious huh maybe we all should just take our shirts get a little sweaty i can't compete with that above the counter clean up your mess yeah watch out little slippery area right yeah seriously i just watched like the ghost adventures episode yeah completely different than ours how could it be any different oh my gosh wait a little bit there's let's start let's check out the lobby it's a lot nicer than i expected it to be this is one of like the first fully furnished places that we've gone for i know which is strange because it's been abandoned for i think three years yeah wow wow all right find the elevators start the night off uh we're going straight to the elevators how do we even decide where to start what is going on you know i feel like i'm a teacher and i got the two most rascal kids in the back just passing what was that the cecil is intense already you guys know what's happening right now right what we're going into the elevator wait the elevator the infamous elevator yeah really the elevator yeah it's the show we're not building up to that we're just going straight to that's the only way to get in the building oh boy this one would be it my friends because the buttons were on the right so you know for sure that this is the one this is the yeah because there's only two elevators in the whole building this element went in this one yet because the buttons are on the right side so 100 the buttons are right here this is the elevator there's no other elevators in the whole thing no because it's just just these two yeah it is only these two elevators oh my gosh this is where she was last seen was in that one in this elevator before the last footage of it yeah so you're telling me like all that grainy footage and everything we're gonna see the real deal right now the camera's probably still up there it's the same camera that they got the footage from open it well before look at we don't need to check the cameras of what goes on here you're the only staff member like i said it's not important we don't catch anything what happened well and on that note we've had a lot of jokes but maybe it's time we actually yeah take it seriously this place has a grim history yeah everything tons of suicides have happened here murders have happened here serial killers which ramirez has stayed here which are others that we probably don't even know of of course elisa lam but everyone that has ever been here says that there is just something horrific in this entire building so and that's our duty yeah tonight dude i would i heard that you know him the nightclub or richard ramirez would kill somebody and then people would say yeah he had blood on him and everything but they just thought it was like kind of his work or something yeah but he would come in here and just ride the elevator up yeah and we're like we're going into that following in his footsteps yes literally saying and they said that you just like dump his clothes and the dumpsters in the back what year was this uh he was in the 70s uh the 80s yeah 80s yeah and they were just fine with it yeah and at least the land was 2013. i mean that was like one of the most vacations that was like the biggest story but yeah eight years ago it's one of the most infamous cases like just ever i mean the world's just over somebody jumped off the roof hit somebody yes yeah they landed on somebody yeah oh my god this place is so crazy and then everyone seems to think there's a an essence here that causes all of it it's too much chaos for one building stop yeah that's not really normal for a hotel to have that many deaths yeah even like the roosevelt is supposed to be like kind of haunted but this has like this has nothing on this yeah nothing and that's far more famous this might be like this is kind of grungy the most that's happened in how big of a time you know i mean like we went to like something like 100 years ago but this is like this all the way back from like 1920 you know first deaths everything like that and until now 2018 so widespread yeah so much stuff inside they said online there's 80 plus deaths here 80 plus so yeah did they shut it down because of the deaths they so they renamed it from cecil to stay on main because the cecil had such a negative connotation to it that they knew if they changed it to stay in maine it would attract a lot more like tourists has a great name yeah so the cecil was still here that's where like the permanent residents lived floors two and three but stay in maine was like kind of like the new hot spot to get a cheap place to stay but yeah so they for sure knew let's save this elevator for right now so what we should do is we should bring matt into the elevator yes yes blindfold them absolutely like a random floor yeah they walk into a random room just ditch it make him count do 100 leave him there and then we'll go wherever we want and then that's just by himself that's a great idea it's a terrible time but i have to pee really quickly okay cool well you can pee in the hotel room oh my god i remember it'll be a front-facing camera so i won't see anything because they're just gonna hear my whole stream yeah all right cool hold on hit the uh once your blindfold on good oh god it's so dark in here oh man can i can i see me get in the elevator huh can i see this guy oh really because right now no idea oh wait wait wait did this it just opened up can i take this off in the elevator oh you want to pick a random floor pick around the floor yeah whatever you want all right you ready what do you think sounds like seven yeah sure all right that's a good one oh there's actually more floors in this hotel than i realized yeah i want to say yeah what are these extra levels extra levels there's so many levels okay so this floor was on what seven seven and this one said lobby or do this i thought they were both on seven were they both well from my angle i can see seven from this side but probably maybe i don't know but when you're ever called an elevator and multiple will come down for the you know what i'm saying yeah they always send one okay i don't know where i'm going i hate it so much oh god it's so echoey should we go right left forward or to the right forward let me see which one are we up here which way do you want to go um let's go over this way i think okay which way that was just really weird so pretty much we're already starting off creepy no we're already starting off freak the [ __ ] out because this is her elevator dog that's probably how do you feel going on the fire escape blindfolded are you serious huh can you think you can fit through the fire escape i don't even know what it would look like i was supposed to know you're all what i don't understand why they both would come down but they opened at the exactly he would do that 14. he would just pick 14. what does it go to 14 does it go well 14 so they're sending matt to 14 right now elisa lamb just went out the fire escape and went up and went to the water tower that's what that's where he is right now yeah it's also the same floor that richard ramirez stayed on yep holy yeah oh god okay take a guess between 1 to 15 what floor he's on well we know we're in 14 because we see it right there you should have seen because we were laughing about it down here we were laughing about like he would pick the 14th floor okay and the flashlight they gave me does not work [ __ ] he's already taking it wait no that's going to move that way wait why did that went up why did i go to seven why did it go to seven by itself oh man some of the doors are open to some of the units why would that even be open there's the elevator they obviously aren't [Music] staying on this floor did he pick seven you think or no no no no no no no no it literally stopped on seven seven and then it went up higher so let's wait let's wait and see what floor he goes to wait give it like two minutes so we know he's away from the elevator and then we go i don't even know what florida start on i guess [Music] this is terrifying oh i have a hair in my mouth oh yeah send it to 10 seconds hey i guess i guys had to work my way down i guess is he just like he's trying to find us right he's going to wait wait wait wait why is take the stairs oh my god that's so great [Music] why why is the elevator taking so long it's so creepy all right i'm gonna start i'm gonna start at the bottom because the top is creepy so creepy oh this is the communal showers let's go now if they're in the showers i'm not going to look for them out of here [Music] the first round there's no carpet there's nothing it's like a salad yeah 506 this is the first room she said dude i'm getting the chills that's that's just creeped me out i know elton probably wants me to walk these halls but not a [ __ ] chance look how slow this is it's just small enough you think somebody's hands are gonna like just reach in and grab it first room [ __ ] because they're the partner like complained or something that was scary that what i don't know like she's being freaky or something yeah oh yeah yeah yeah she was getting she played so she was kicked out of her room by request and she was changed before yeah hello hello like you would think in a hotel you would have a bathtub but there's nothing it's just a stand-up shower it feels like more of a hostel those mother left me on the 14th floor on the 14th floor is technically the 13th floor [Music] wait this is where the elevator stopped on the way up it stopped at seven with a bed here and look where the elevator is okay you just made me not want to be here and look it's like pry it open like they never want the door to show [Music] and you just shut all the lights off on all the that's what they're doing he's going to the breaker on each floor he's going down [Music] oh this is lobby where are they did you hear walking from that way you did i just heard even the cameramen even if he finds cory and josh well that's true we could have found them already oh my god you scared the [ __ ] out of me oh my god i knew you guys would be hiding what were you guys doing in the bathroom wait we should put these in front of the elevator open them all i just press why is it going to four dude i press nine it's still it still won't even go to nine double nines again double nines how about wow oh so sad i didn't finish i poked my head around i walked a little down the hallway and i was like that so i walked back to the front of the elevator wait what oh my god yo what the [ __ ] they definitely put that there around both of them elsa had to push this king got trapped in a community bathroom by ourselves oh you're trapped i found them they come out of the bathroom together like you've been stumbled upon yeah but pretty much we heard a bunch of people talking we thought it was you guys but then when we finally came out it was just him by himself so i was on level i met you guys on six right yes so i was on five i get off of five and i'm like i feel like i can hear something so i go around the left nothing there and i hear the elevator come and when you hear that or something i feel like like they go yeah right we lost elton you saw that right yeah unless it's in there if he do you guys know he's in there no no no if there's no one i swear to god i believe in those there's someone behind the door it has to be elsewhere i hear something down that way and then the elevator stops so i go i tried to cheat it i was like let me run over and see where the elevator is going so i go to that floor and it goes to two so i'm like resident must have used it so i go back to the left and then i hear the elevator coming to the fifth floor yeah it's super loud like it's about to open so i run back over i'm about to be like i got you guys nobody gets off so i don't know who would have called the elevator to the floor i was already on was that you well no fifth when i how would you know i was on the fifth no we had no idea where you were somebody on the second floor would have had to have called it back to before i was already at did you also notice that after we left when the elevator came back up to the 14th floor it stopped on the seventh yeah we were we were at the bottom oh yeah but it stopped that's what he was telling me maybe we should show him why i stopped at seven why'd it oh yeah this is kind of crazy wait what happened actually matthew you should leave that camera on for a little bit let's go come on court you're staying by yourself yo peace please yeah i get i get anxiety on that yeah oh no don't do it ready not on this elevator oh yeah this doesn't sound very uh i just can't get over the clouds i hate how loud it opens oh yeah what the heck is so creepy i didn't even know that it's the only room that has a bed hundreds and hundreds and it's wide open yeah it's propped open this is how we found it oh it is propped open and it legit stopped at this floor where for whatever reason on the way to the 14th really while we were at the bottom so who say that who said it 701 so we took it all we left you we go down to the mezzanine i think that's the first one i went to no it wasn't it went to five yeah i think i worked my way up yeah is this the room that you were telling me about but you were gonna say whose room was this was this lisa lambs no we went to lisa's land that was on fire so one fifth floor so what what is it about this room we don't know we have no idea what do you think why are you even bringing it up just the fact that it's made yeah it is just a random room which that way and a nightstand and this is new this is a nice room this is like that door can't close before linda and patty both get here i feel like we should at least do our part and do a little investigation i don't know if this is here for a reason there's nothing about 701 that i've read anywhere but it seems like if the doors propped open and this is all here if it was a model showroom there i don't feel like they propped the door so far from the elevator so maybe this is here for a reason but you guys have the noise canceling headphones in the spirit box you have the cat balls you can do whatever you want with it the other videos open that's our calling so it's so weird yeah so you guys know the deal investigate we're going to try and get on the roof goodbye oh yeah we're going to see if we can get on the roof right now really that sounds fun it sounds casual and we're going to stand here and investigate yeah realize where we are these are the water towers man corbin and elton are on the roof they claim to see another elevator on the opposite side of the building so we're gonna try to go meet him over there you know what's like insane though what we got up here the way that they said she got up here i know yeah which makes me think this elevator is not gonna work this is how you get to the water tanks that's how she did it that's the climb that's the climb up i say we wait and do it when they come back let's get everyone that's freaky yeah let's get everyone to come back we just drop down right is it cool up there is oh did you see the water tank no we didn't have to go underneath them you just walked underneath the water tanks they're right there should we go up now no i think we come the rooms and then the very last room we went to was lisa's first room that she lived in right and it's pretty much like almost like dead in there but we know that there's something in there yeah so reach the fifth floor it's then that people report encountering a young woman you're instructed not to look at and interact with her she may or may not try talking to you ask for help or antagonizing
