Optimize Windows 10/11 for GAMING & PERFORMANCE in 2024 - Best Settings!

hey what's going on YouTube Welcome Back to another brand new video and in today's video I'm going to be showing you guys how you can optimize your Windows 10 and 11 for better gaming and general purpose use this is the only guide that you will need and it will work throughout 2024 because I'll be covering the best settings this video could be a little bit lendy so please bear on with me and without wasting any more time let's get started all right step number one is always going to be creating a restore point because in this video we're going to be changing a lot of settings and if you guys want to restore back everything back if you don't like it you can always do it by coming over here simply select your localis C simply create a restore point name it restore and just simply click on create I highly recommend you guys not to skip this step because it is really essential okay step number two is opening up command prompt and running this as an administrator beginning up with the First Command that is sfc space slash scan now this is going to scan all of your system it will bring out any corrupted files or any data that is missing on your PC any critical error it's going to be completed and fixed in this phase do not forget to restart your PC once you're done with this now I'm going to be letting this thing run in the background Meanwhile we're going to be continuing with the video next step is enabling storage sense and for that you need to open up settings on your PC and right over here you have to Simply search for storage sense once you are over here you have to make sure that storage sense is turned on go inside and click on keep windows running smoothly automatically then you have to scroll down and configure the cleanup schedules that is run St sense every single day delete files in my recycle bin in 14 days and download folder set this thing to never then right after you're done with that simply click on run storage sense now and let it do the job then in here you have to go over to the gaming section and then go over to game bar and make sure to turn this thing off game bar consumes a lot of memory in the background and keeping it on will consume a lot of of memory then go back and go beneath the game mode and over here you'll find game mode simply turn this thing on go over to graphic settings then click on change default graphic settings and make sure to enable Hardware EXC related GP shuling as well as optimization for window games as this will reduce your input latency as well as utilize your GPU for gaming right after that you'll also find a list of all of the apps and games that utilizes your GPU you have to do is go to the browse button and then add any game that you play into this list you can simply select the exe file by going into the download location and simply click on ADD button then once you have added all of your games you have to click on them go over to options and then select high performance to make sure that you below next step is removing temporary files and for that you need to press your windows and R key together and right over here you have to search in for temp this will open up the folder which contains all of your temporary files on your PC as well as your log files which are no longer needed so you can simply control a and shift delete all of them you have to do your administrative permission and you can skip the ones that cannot be deleted because some files are still in use once it is done you can simply close it okay let's move to the next step that is the device manager and Network adopters so for that you have to Simply search for network adopters and select your ethernet simply double click on it and then go over to the power management section and disable the first option that will help you to fix all of your packet loss and inconsistent network issues simply click on okay and you're good to go next step is Ms config so you have to search for Ms config and look up for system configuration on your PC once it opens up go over to the boot section and over here click on Advanced option click on number processors and then choose the maximum number of processors available for your PC this will utilize all of your codes while booting up your PC and it is also good for gaming in the long run simply click on okay and then go over to the services settings and over here click on hide all Microsoft services and disable all Adobe browser related Services fan control services RGB Services any service that you think that is not required while booting up your PC you have to stop that service running in the background as that will consume a lot of network as as well as processing power which will give you consistency issues in your games disabling these applications will also help you to boost your FPS significantly now make sure that you know what you are disabling in case you don't know about anything just leave it as it is it could be something really essential such as VGC if you disable this thing you cannot run valerant after that go over to the startup section and then click on open task manager over here and then disable all unwanted startup applications as this will help you to decrease your booting time your booting time is the time taken by your PC to start up and the lower the time is the better your PC is performing for me the last bios time is around 9.5 seconds but this is Justified because I have over 6 terabyt of storage and it takes a lot of time to boot it up but in case of your PC or your laptop it should be somewhere between 5 to 7 seconds and that is good enough time so you can simply right click on any application and simply click on disable if you do not really need it once it is done make sure to click on this apply button and then click on okay next setting is the mouse settings and for that you have to search for Mouse settings on your PC and right over here you have to click on additional Mouse settings once you open up Mouse properties go over to the pointer options and then your pointer speed should be at the sixth tick so count 1 2 3 4 5 six the sixth tick is the best and it gives you the least amount of input latency also disable enhance pointer Precision pointer Precision is the worst enemy while gaming pointer Precision will drag your mouse lot then you move it so it's good if you're using a trackpad but if you have an actual Mouse with you do not use pointer Precision it will only ruin your gameplay and it will also give you a lot of input latency simply press on okay once it is done and you're good to go now we have to Dean animate your windows windows by default has a ton of animations which are not really required and it consumes a lot of processing in the background than you think and to disable that you need to Simply search for adjust the appearance and performance of Windows on your PC and then click on adjust for best performance over here you have to click on show thumbnails of icons as well as smooth edges of screen fonts both of them will help you to look at your icons smoothly as well as see your screen fonts in a normal way other than that it will disable all of the unnecessary animations on your PC and it will also improve your PC's performance next step is also within this setting that is the advanced section where you have to set the processor schedule in to programs and set up your virtual memory on your PC virtual memory plays a very crucial role in saving your fps8 done over here you have to click on the change button and then you have to click on custom size make sure to uncheck automatically manage paging because if it is checked you cannot use any of these settings down beneath now once it is set to custom size the initial size should be a little above 1 GB so 1GB is around 1,24 MB and a little above you can set this thing to 1361 this is the most optimal size I have found on my PC it works wide well on all of your PCS so you can simply use this size for the next thing you have to open up calculator and and calculate your memory in megabytes I have a 32 GB Ram so you have to multiply it by 1224 and you'll get this size this is your memory in megabyte if you want to look at your memory you can simply search for system information on your PC and then look for Total Physical memory on your PC that is around 32 GB for me then you have to divide this thing by two and that will give you half of your memory this is the size that you have to set on the maximum size so setting the initial and maximum size like this will help you to utilize your virtual memory in the best way possible and once it is done simply press on okay next step is the windows optimization pack I'll be leaving a link to this next level first one is the CPU priority and for that you have Intel and AMD CPU if you're using an AMD CPU you need to run the AMD CPU priority if you run an Intel CPU you can run the Intel CPU priority as well next one is the ram optimization and as I said I use 32 GB Ram so I need to run this one but I have left a ton of presets over here you can choose from and if you don't like it you can always reset it back to default third one is the quick CPU and this is a setup file once youve installed quick CPU you can simply open this thing up if it doesn't open up make sure to check your system tray it should be in this now quick CPU should look like this now over here you have to set your system power plan I have set this thing to Ultimate performance but if you don't have it you can always set this thing to high performance it does the same job next thing over here your core parking it should be set to 100% if this is set to zero then your PC is putting your course to an idle state in which your CPU is not utilizing those CES optimally and setting this to 100% means none of your core is going to be parked or turn off to save power all of your CES will be utilized while playing the games and as soon as I click on okay you guys can see my CPU utilization is now grown up this is because all of my CPU CES are now in use and they will all contribute the power to increase my PC's performance and my through booot this will also help you to benefit in FPS games a lot like valorent also go over to the memory data and this will open up the system memory now as you guys can see my Inus memory is somewhere around 33.8% or 10 GB now as soon as I click on this clean button just have a look my memory usage has fallen down this is because it automatically stops all of your unused processes in the background and instantly frees up your m that will help you to get FPS and smooth running of your games whenever you're playing it I highly recommend you guys to keep your quick CPU running in the background whenever you're playing the game and it will ensure that you're getting the best gaming experience next folder is the bad streaks and in here once again I have left clean temporary files and this is going to remove all temporary files on your PC you need to Simply right click and run this thing as an administrator it will politely ask you to delete all of your temporary files you can simply press any key and it will start deleting all of them don't worry this is completely safe next is the useful tweak. badge file this badge file is a standalone file that contains a lot of commands and you don't not have to manually execute them you can simply right click and run this as an administrator and it will start executing all of these commands which will help you to get better performance don't worry this is completely safe as well and you can drag and drop this thing to virus total to check if it is legit or not next one is the windows important tweaks and in here I have also left some of these tweaks that will disable un necessity Services background applications on your PC downloading maps disable transparency enable clear page at shutdown improve system responsiveness and win 32 priority separation this will ensure that your PC has disabled all of your unused and unwanted Services completely including background applications which is not available in Windows 11 and it will ensure that your system is running safely and utilizing the maximum performance for gaming once again if you don't like any of these you can always go to revert Registries and revert all of these Registries back one by one if you want them last one is the program folder in which I have left an Optimizer 16.3 this is the latest version of Optimizer you can simply right click and run this thing as an administrator this Optimizer is a stand alone and it will help you to disable a lot of services and a lot of settings that you cannot turn off right from the settings so now first is the general tweaks and over here these are some settings which are very common you can simply disable all of these in the system settings and then in disk drive you can simply disable SuperFetch and hibernation then in apps I recommend you guys to disable all of these and privacy only disable the first two then you have to go to Windows 11 if you're running Windows 10 this will show Windows 10 for you guys now over here in the system you can disable your profile disable TPM check but I do not recommend this because Val requires your TPM check but if you guys are running Windows 10 and you want to upgrade to Windows 11 that requires TPM 2.0 but if you guys do not want it you can simply disable the TPM check right right from here then I recommend you guys to disable sensor Services because you don't not really want them then for Windows updates I recommend you guys to disable automatic updates then for taskbar do not turn off anything over here you can simply disable stickers if you want to now here comes the Privacy section which is really really important first one is telary Services which you definitely want to turn off then disable Cortana because nobody uses her then disable start menu ads Edge tement and Edge discover then you have gaming enable game mode disable Xbox Live and disable game bar and for touch disable everything because if you're not using anything on your touchcreen just disable all of them now in the extra section this is what has been recently added so you can disable snap assist but I do not recommend this because snap assist help you to snap your windows here and there what I can disable over here is the co-pilot AI this consumes a lot of process in the background so just disable this thing then you have to go to start up and over here you can simply click on any application that you do not want to start up with your PC even if that is a system application you can simply turn this thing off I've already done what I wanted to these are the applications that I generally use after my PC boots up so I have kept them as it is then you have a cleaner in which you can clean your windows temporary files bsod that means black screen of death mini dumps error reports you can also empty your recycle bin clean your browser cash cookies and history which I do not recommend you guys to do it but if you guys are facing virus issues you can simply do this thing as well go over to the registry section and right over here you can simply enable all over here once it is done I highly recommend you guys to restart and apply changes this will restart your PC and it will apply all of the changes that you need on your PC and voila you have actually optimized your PC and it's ready to play the games I highly recommend you guys to do this setting every time you buy a new PC or reset your PC and fresh install your Windows well that was it for this video guys I hope I could have helped you out if I
