Opening 3 phase line using Loadbuster

hey what's up guys you're watching bob's decline for those of you that are new to the channel my name is aaron i've been alignment on the east coast of canada for about 19 years now so today um nothing real exciting we took a permit on a three-phase line for some arborists trees are growing around that three-phase pretty close so we're gonna get in there trim that up they are certified to work around power lines so we're going up on the line here on our right hand side is the source left hand side is the radial feet that's where the air pressures are going to be working so so so yeah keep her coming keep her coming keep her coming yeah it's yours [Applause] [Applause] so [Music] [Applause] uh next step is to check for potential and ground check for potential is just uh checking for the voltage it's it's not checking for the voltage in between two different points but we're just checking the magnetic field on the lines so if you set the setting too low on potential indicator chances are it's going to go off anyways so we'll see that here i set it off at set it at 12 kv here initially and you'll see that it beeps on the live side of the cutout and on the dead side there's uh there's nothing but now we set that down to 4kv and it's still beeping on the dead side of the line you want to you want to make sure you have a proper setting to get an accurate reading [Music] anyways guys thought i'd share that with you this morning uh everyone work safe out there thanks for stopping in and we'll see you next time
