reading from the esv version and that is verse number five and when you found it please stand on god's word isaiah 53 go back in your own time and read verses read the 52nd chapter up into verse number five and it reads as follows but he was pierced for our transgressions he was crushed for our iniquities and upon him the chastisement of that brought about us peace and his wounds we are healed amen you may be seated in the house of god i would like to use for a thought for these few little minutes that i have god's gap insurance god's gap insurance in 1752 benjamin franklin and is in our text that isaiah gives us god's got insurance for our soul it does not require the approval of the united states congress or nor does it require approval from an insurance company glory be to god no political party can claim in ownership or irrefutable impact no illegal or legal citizens can vote it in or vote it out glory be to god that's because this spiritual health care plan does not come by an executive order but it comes by eternal order glory be to god that's because this spiritual health care plan does not come by an executive order but the prophet isaiah whom the book is named after tells us he prophesies under seven kings under four kings from 739 to 681 bc when a nation had turned away from god isaiah speaks on the judgment of god verse chapters 1 through 39 he speaks on the supremacy of god chapters 40 through 48 isaiah speaks on the servant of god uh chapters 49 through 53 and then he speaks on the future of god's plan 54-66 but it's because of the scope isaiah gives us one of the clearest expressions of the forthcoming and the foreshadowing that jesus christ is coming glory be to god it is in this message that the book of isaiah clearly articulates the sins of god's people and dealing with others unjustly which resulted in their offering hypocritical sacrifices unto god if i had time i'll stay on that for a minute but y'all gonna stop playing with god glory be to god you're gonna stop being one way and then another way glory be to god speaking one thing out of your mouth and then another glory be to god but we ain't got time for that that ain't the message for today so he helps us as we come to point number one there was a pre-existing condition ah now let me help you out if it had been in our state you wouldn't have been in good hands because of your pre-existing condition if it had been usaa they wouldn't have been there when you needed them because of your pre-existing conditions if it had been nationwide they wouldn't have been on your side because of your pre-existing conditions oh glory be to god if it had been state formed you wouldn't have had like a good neighbor because of your pre-existing conditions if it had been farmers you wouldn't get no bump but um thump thump thumb glory be to god because why if you had pre-existing conditions what what are the pre-existing conditions glory be to god i'm glad that you asked we got to stop coming in church putting on a performance expecting an academy award glory be to god when we all got pre-existing conditions because the word says all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of god maybe for some of you it was a little gossip maybe for some of us it was a little taste at the bottom maybe a little red cup a silver cup blue cup or whatever cup you want it to be maybe it was fleeting flirtation maybe it was just a moment of rage maybe it was just a moment of flash of pride it was your temporary weakness but let the redeemed of the lord say so glory be to god let the redeemed of the lord say so those who can shout and say that i had some pre-existing conditions but god's gap insurance helps us to understand glory be to god it is by the stripes of jesus that he exists our pre exists conditions isaiah says that we're sinners by creation and says something else that we say is we are sinners by choice i bet you you're wondering like where is he going with all of this god's gap insurance glory be to god but if you stay with me just a little while i'll break it down even more glory be to god his bible the bible says that but he was wounded for our transgressions transgressions mean rebellion against god it is the word that reverberates here because isaiah says that he was wounded for our transgressions that nonsense and fine destruction turns our minds towards what paul says in romans 3 and 23 for all have sinned and come short of the glory of god glory be to god the first thing there's a pre-existing condition glory be to god the second thing the second thing the second thing there is a payment of our contributor glory be to god if you don't pay your insurance it laps oh glory it falls in half you no longer are covered but you can very overcome you can go out there and get in a wreck you cannot have hospitalization if you don't pay your insurance policy but jesus was our contributor he paid more than we could ever pay more than we could ever have do more than we could ever do why because it is the payment of the contributor our sinful conditions amen as you expect the cost of health care to be astronomical but we needed a sponsor in the midst of our sickness and our sin with covet 19 running rampant cancer depression violence out of control we need a sponsor a savior and we need to survive so what was the payment his sacrifice our gain his sacrifice grief infirmities insecurities our gains security solid emotions glory be to god stop operating in a spirit of fear because god has not given you a spirit of fear quit running away from god and running everywhere else stay with god sins and transgressions forgiveness from guilt sickness and disease health and wholeness mental turmoil and a peace of mind weakness and his strength i want to pause right here there's a story i want to share with you in a little time amen there was a story by the name of thomas parks thomas parks was a college student and he was driving home one day and he gets in an accident glory be to god and they rush into the hospital and they take him in the hospital and they give him the best and best premium care so now it's time for thomas to be discharged and the reception is hens and mobile thomas looking disfigured and the secretary let him look there just for a minute and he says son i can see he thought that his instruments had covered but he knew that he couldn't have paid this thing the reception says son i don't know where you are but that's not a bill that's a receipt paid in full i don't know who i need to get today glory be to god but it's been paid in full glory peter god that's not a bill that you have that's been that's a receipt saying paid in full ah and in a little time that we got amen and the third thing is there was a prescribed cure isaiah sounds the last note in this verse when he tells us that there's a prescribed cure for whatever else us if i had more time i'll talk about the prescribed cure that ills us glory be to god thank you the prescribed care that that's a cure for what else us glory be to god the things that we don't talk about the things that we don't share with others the things that are hurting deep down on the inside i come to let you know and serve notice to every demon devil which warlord m i come to let him know that there is a cure for depression there is a cure for kovic 19 there is a cure for cancer there is a cure for anything self-destructive behaviors there's a cure look at your name and say there's a cure there's a cure it's amazing that we talk bible all of the time but we leave here just this is much discombobulated in disbelief we speak one thing and don't believe the other glory be to god if you look back over your life can't you see that god has brought you this far ain't that your shock glory be to god you've been in many wrecks you've been in fatigue you fell down but you got back up as reggie said today but if you can look back over your life and see that god's gap insurance has covered me there's as a prescribed cure glory be to god how as we as saints of god speak that we're this but then we don't believe that we're then god's gap insurance ah so why do we need god's gap insurance uh when i got through i started shouting my own self uh why do we need god's gap insurance number one it's god's consistency towards us glory be to god but philippians 4 and 19 says but my god shall supply all of my needs according to christ jesus glory be to god can't you see the consistency the consistency even when we are inconsistent god is still what consistent even with you being inconsistent with your praise right now god has still brought you thus far to let you see that you are victorious god's consistency for us number two why we need god's gap insurance because god covers us ah second corinthians 12 9 says my grace is sufficient for you and the power perfected in weakness mostly therefore i would rather boast about my weakness so that the power of god may dwell inside of me let me help you out with that you can't get gap insurance unless you got a weakness ah glory be to god you can't get gap insurance unless you tell yourself now those of you that have been saved sanctified and they never did nothing wrong glory be to god don't let that be your shout but my shout is glory be to god that he covered and when i of our suffering he paid for the foundation of all of our fear he paid for the root of all of our restlessness but this is my shot as we get ready to close god's spiritual health care plan can turn junk into jewels dust into diamonds high glory be to god pebbles in the pearls glory be to god trash in the treasures glory be to god ruins in the riches glory be to god rats interrupt intervals and nightmares into dreams i thought y'all would have shot it more than that did y'all not hear me he turns junk into jewels i don't know who feels like they're a little junky glory be to god but now you're a jewel glory be to god i don't know who's been deaf but now you're a diamond glory be to god i don't know that who's been a pebble but now you're a pearl i don't know who feels like they are trash but now you're a treasure and whatever your nightmares are he'll turn them into dreams god knew that we needed a savior the wrecks of life through sin why do we need god's cap insurance [Music] brother the funeral will be this saturday september the 11th at divine life christian church in memphis sister latifah porter brother passed away the funeral is this saturday september 11th at united community mb church with pearson in memphis sister violet honestly lost her sister arrangements are incomplete and let us continue to be in prayer for our pastor dominique mosley his oldest son lost
