[Music] because i was late for this [Music] what is up youtube back here in ottawa 613 lift absolutely love this gym so we're happy to be home got amadeus behind the camera again axel over here we are doing we are training armstead like i haven't trained arms in a very long time but today's the day you haven't seen in a while so we're gonna do it we're gonna kill it arms is one of those things that lagged on me for a while because when i trained armed they trained it when i was tired when i didn't really want to train and i kind of would go half-assed and then i would save for like leg day let's kill the workout but i need to switch that mindset i can't even kill my arm workouts because that's my leg and body part train them as hard as anything leave feeling broken just as you would any other body part so that's gonna be the goal we're gonna [ __ ] it up trying to get huge getting some pre-workout right now me and i'm just taking some pictures because we're finally restocking the bum pre-workout supposed to be july 13th 100 sure on that date so i'll keep you updated if it's different but we're gonna get onto the workout four five eight nine good come on ten eleven twelve thirteen five more five four three two three four five six seven eight [Applause] [Applause] like my favorite thing ever part of the function of the tricep is actually bring your elbow down from here to here so if you feel like it's almost like a cheek but not a slight little finish to your set you like pull down here and do like a little throw down with your wrist a little flick of the wrist nice way to finish off [Music] this is probably the worst place to stand and talk in the gym because it's so loud but second exercise we've been doing we always start with rope we've been moving on to a spill pressure trying to go heavy i can't like close grip or dip right now for my shoulders [ __ ] so i try and get any heavy tricep kind of compound movement out of the skull crusher here not really but close enough it's the heaviest we're going so feel it [Applause] [Music] oh [Applause] [Music] one more [Music] six seven eight nine control ten eleven two more twelve last one i got it [Music] one two three pump it up come on four five six five more four three two more call chris last one good [Music] [Music] [Music] oh [Applause] all right so i literally just said i can't do tips because my shoulders [ __ ] but this dip machine if i use i used to use it in a way where i'd lean forward and i'd put like five six plates on it just [ __ ] throw it down my chest shoulders everything was taking over now on this machine i keep my back my stomach off the pad i try and stay really upright with my arms behind me and just it's a lot less range of motion but it's just a tricep lockout position and because your arms are behind your back that's the tightest spot to contract your triceps so it's a really good movement to really get a type of traction squeeze the shirt of it you can also move a decent amount of weight because you're strong in that position so that's what we're doing i don't know if it's a good or bad thing when i think i'm stronger than i am but we'll soon find out [Music] two three four five six seven eight nine push ten eleven [Music] machine the contraction is so tight it literally feels like the muscles like it'll blow up feels good one two three four five six come on all right seven eight nine ten hey okay so same programming for arms as we've always done we kill it with three main tricep movements and then we move on to three main bicep movements so our goat shoe is always preacher on our back day we were doing a one-arm t-shirt so today we're gonna do a heavier two-arm creature followed by probably a dumbbell girl and we make it up after that so girls [Applause] [Music] one more exquisite upstairs five four three two one that was very heavy i don't know if it's i think it's partly the bench but we were at [ __ ] save on the other gym last year we were curling the bar in 225 and getting like 10 reps and i'm stronger than everything else but this right now that hopefully that means i'm smaller favorite thing i learned about biceps that people ask me like i still have shitty arms so you shouldn't ask me how to get bigger arms but one of the things i think really helped with doing exercises where you can have a spotter normally you train arms you don't spot that you're like it's dumbbell curls like that but on something like a preacher curl here you have to spot get fourth rep though and i find a lot of recent people have like biceps and mind muscle connection and having a spot to squeeze out those final reps when you start to lose that connection it helps a lot so you focus on squeezing so try to all right place it upstairs come on ten nine eight six legs come on five push four three two all the way and hold it tell me man those wraps on this are the best if you're wondering what we're doing kind of trying to let me or actually whatever doing the set drop it to about the halfway point so we control the negative and then help it back up and then drop it and help it back up but you're really controlling the negative and trying to pull it up even though you can't the spotter's helping you and that extra little bit destroys foreign [Music] [Applause] [Applause] push push breathe [Music] oh [Music] wow all right third bicep movement after my two favorite i move on to some kind of hammer i like to do a hammer this one's been one of my favorites because it's a little less tension on my shoulder for some reason when i have more of a neutral grip like this it puts a little more pain in my shoulder so i found the cable pulling from behind it not only gets you a good stretch but the way i can lock my shoulder in it doesn't hurt mine specifically it might [ __ ] up yours me personally but we're doing this table first set normal straight set second set we're going to do a drop set try and finish strong feel strong [Music] [Applause] [Music] okay and after this we're done closing i might give you a physique update today that might be in for a treat depends how shitty i look i could be saying this right now the next book just deleted and you guys will never know the better so we'll see all right so here's a moment of truth i haven't really hit a pose in a long time not gonna lie i don't practice closing my offseason i wait till i start prep so i'm going to be checking out how i look right now for the first time this is my first physique update and it's going to be your guy's first the house watson physique update to start off prep starting now we got a lot of work to do but i'm excited this is one of the heaviest i've ever been starting prep not the worst shape not the best shape in the middle but i think i'm in a really good spot like i said i got a lot to shred but it's going to be fun a lot of work to do got to earn the three feet this year so hopefully you guys follow along the journey gonna be trying to share as much as i can getting it after it 2021 classic olympia i'm coming for you
