In this video, I'm gonna show you how to go ahead and set up stream labels inside of OBS studio. So you can go ahead and display them on your overlays, like new followers, new subscribers, sub goals. So that way everything looks professional. Let's go ahead and dive in. Alright, so what we're gonna be working on today is you're gonna see I have my overlay bar that says New follower, new subscriber, new donation stream goals. We're gonna go ahead and set up labels. And then we're also gonna set up the labels for the webcam overlay. Now, if you don't have any overlays, the overlays that I'm using right now are from Stream Designz, so you can go to StreamDesignz.com. I'll put a link in the description of this video where they have several overlays. You can go ahead and purchase. For this example, I'm using the Lux package. So he comes with the overlay bar and the webcam overlay and all the other elements that I need. So what you're gonna want to do is you're gonna want to come to stream elements.com and I'll put a link in the description as well. You're gonna go ahead and log in with the social platform you're trying to go ahead and stream to. I'm gonna go ahead and utilize Twitch for this example, and once you go ahead and get logged into. It's gonna go ahead and bring you over here to the dashboard. On the left hand side, you want come to where it says streaming tools. You wanna select overlays, and now you wanna select create new Overlay. It's gonna go ahead and bring you over into the editor. It's gonna say Overlay resolution. You wanna put it at 1080p. You wanna go ahead and hit start. And now what we want to do is we wanna go ahead, hit this plus icon and we wanna come to where it says static and custom. We wanna select a video, and what you're gonna wanna do is you're gonna wanna change. You don't want to come to upload and you're gonna want to go and find the files that you went ahead and got from Stream Designz or where you have your overlay saved. If you got it from Stream Designz, it's gonna come in a package just like this. A zip, you'll simply double click it. It'll open up a folder. If you don't know how to unzip it, simply do Google search. But once you have that folder, you're gonna see here, it's gonna give you alerts, overlay screen panels, and webcam overlay. So we wanna come to where it says overlay screens. We're gonna wanna select overlay bar, and we're gonna. Open and that's gonna bring it in here to stream elements. So now that we have it here, what we wanna do is resize. Now this is gonna be an easier way to be able to do this because if you don't set your overlay bar inside of stream elements, then it's gonna be hard to align all the texts that you want to put. So once you have this here, you wanna make sure you have this checked as loop. And now we wanna go ahead and hit the plus icon, and we wanna come to where it says label. So the first label we're gonna create is gonna be followers. So you come to followers. And you have two options. You can do the latest follower, which is just gonna show one, or you can do recent followers, and that allows you to show a scrolling ticker of about 10 to 20. So I'm gonna show you how to do both. So we come to followers or go to latest, go to latest follower. You're gonna see that it's gonna appear right here. Right now. We don't want this latest follower text. So to be able to adjust that, all you want to do is come here to positioning style settings. Follow her name. We only want the name. So you can delete that there. And now you can see here that now we have our label that's gonna show us. So this is gonna go ahead and refresh automatically every time somebody follows you. We wanna make this look a little bit nicer. So what we want to come here is to enable custom font. I like to use impact as the font, and then you can come here and make sure that it's centered and then you are able to adjust the color if you want a different color as well, or add any simple effect. So we'll simply place that there. So that's how you're gonna do it. If you just want one name to show at. Now I'm gonna go ahead and do a , a new follower again. I'm gonna go to followers. I'm gonna go to latest and I'm gonna go to recent followers. Now you're gonna see a new option here that's gonna ask you to be able to go ahead and decide how many names you want to scroll. So I'm gonna just leave it at 25. Then I'm gonna come here to the position, and you'll see here that now I have a list of multiple names. But I want this to be able to scroll. So when you sit here, you wanna check this, you check the scroll, and now we are gonna see that the names are gonna start to scroll through. Now, six may be a little bit fast. You can adjust this. I found that zero. And just leaving it blank is what's gonna give it the a nice little speed. So now you can place this here, and now we can adjust this to be able to align to our line. . Okay. And now you'll see here that now I have a scrolling ticker of my new subscribers, my new followers. You have the option to be able to do both. And then again, you are able to go ahead and change the actual text for this to make it all look nice. And like I said, I'm using impact. To be able to go ahead and do this. So that's how you're gonna set up your new follower, your new subscriber, and your new donation. The process is exactly the same. You'll come to labels, you'll come to tips, you'll come to Latest, and then again, you'll do the latest tipper if you just want to showcase one person, or you do the recent and use the scroller process that I just showed you on the new subscriber. Now, the one thing I do wanna focus on here is gonna be, Stream goals. Cause there's two different ways to be able to do this, and I'm gonna show you the best way. So when you set up a stream goal, you don't want to hit this plus icon, come to labels, and then you don't wanna select goals, right? When you select this, it's gonna give you this nice, this bar here, it's not gonna be as effective. For what it is you want to do, especially if you truly want this goal to be reached. So I'm gonna go ahead and delete this and I'm gonna show you now the best way to be able to do this. So you're gonna come here to labels, you're gonna come to followers, you're gonna come to total and all time you're gonna go to follower account. This is gonna give you an option here. So what you want to do for the first option, you want to go ahead and copy what I have here, which is gonna say Follow a goal, and then in Parentes count space slash. Then for the follower account, no data. You want to delete that. And you also want to go ahead and put follower goal zero and 10. Now this text in the front can be any goal that you want, whether it be a sub goal, whether it be a tip goal, whether it be a follow goal. I'm just gonna have that there. And you're gonna see here that now I have that goal. So what I'm gonna do is, again, I'm gonna adjust this text. I'm gonna go ahead and label this impact. Hey, and now there's one thing that we want to do, right? Because what happens is that we want this to be able to update after every stream, right? We don't want it to just keep going. So to be able to do that, what you wanna make sure is that you come up top to this little session data. You come here to where it says settings and you wanna make sure that auto session reset is ticked on. What that's gonna do is that every time that you end your stream and you start your stream, this goal is going to go ahead and reset, so you can set this 10 to be any number that you want and you change that. Again here, this can be a hundred, it can be any number that you want. And then is there, so now that we have this here in place to be able to bring this into OBS what we want to do is we want to hit. It's gonna ask us to be able to name this. I'm gonna name this overlay bar. You're gonna hit save. And now once you save that, you're gonna come up here to this little paperclip icon. You're gonna copy that. And now we want to come back into o Bs. I'm gonna remove the overlay bar that I have here now. And to be able to add this, we want to hit this little plus icon under sources where you're gonna want the overlay bar to. You're gonna come to where it says browser, and then we're gonna name this overlay bar you're gonna press, okay. And then for the URL, you're gonna paste the URL that we just went ahead and copied. You're gonna name change this in 1920 by 10 80, and then you are gonna ahead press okay. And you're gonna see here that the overlay bar is now going to appear with our texts and our labels that we just went ahead and created. So now, anytime that somebody goes ahead and follows you, or is subscribes, or donates, or hits your goal, you're gonna see it automatically update here for you. And you don't need to do this every single time once you do it once. It's gonna continue to upload. Even if you open up obs again or close it, it's always gonna stay there until you remove it. So let's go ahead and do the same thing here for our webcam overlay. The process is exactly the same. So we're gonna come here to stream elements. We're gonna go ahead and go back. We're gonna create a new overlay. So you want to create a new overlay panel for the webcam. And then what you're gonna do here, we're gonna see leave it at 10 80 p. You're gonna hit start. You're gonna come to add, you're gonna come to static. You're gonna add a video, okay? Cuz it is a video. We're gonna change. You're gonna come to upload. You're gonna go to the package that you got from Stream Designz or from your own overlays if you got it from Stream Designz. When you come here to your folder, you're gonna see here that it's gonna say Webcam Overlays. So you'll select that and then here you have three different options for that. You can select which one you want. I'm gonna select the center one. We'll press okay. And now what's gonna happen is here, see, I'm gonna hit submit and now that overlay is gonna be here, so now, like I said, we have it here ready for us. Now we want to go ahead and add a label. So we wanna come to labels, we want to come here to bits, say latest, latest cheer, or we do tips. So you hear latest, latest tipper. , you're gonna grab this text, you're gonna place it there. , we can remove the latest tipper text cuz you just want the name and the amount of money that's actually shown, so you'll say here, say Mike donated 20, it's just an example, so this is what it would. We can go ahead and size this up. So you cover text settings and then here is where you're gonna be able to adjust the size to make it bigger, to be able to fit in that screen. When it gets cut off, all you wanna do is adjust the box that's how it's gonna give you the space that you need. Then you can place it there. Now this is gonna be a new follower, so we'll come here to labels, come to followers, we'll come to latest follow. You'll place that there. , you can remove the latest follower name and just have the name up here in there. We can come back to here again, to make everything look consistent. We can use this as impact and that's gonna go ahead and allow you to do that there. So we'll select that. It'll come here. Same thing. We can adjust the size for what this to be, and then we can go ahead and customize this to say. And then once we have that in place, we want to go ahead and follow the same actual process. Now this is gonna update automatically. Now keep in mind what I did here in the demo. Don't do this because this is just simply for an example, leave this blank or how it was initially right, which was just like this. And then allow it to be able to go ahead and update automatically. So once you have that saved, you're gonna hit save. You're gonna name this webcam overlay. You are gonna hit save. You're gonna come here to the paperclip icon. We're gonna go back to O B S studio. And now what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna just delete this here, leave my webcam overlay, and I'm gonna go ahead and add a new one. So I'm gonna go here. Browser source. I'm gonna name this webcam overlay, I'm gonna select, okay. And now we're gonna follow the same process. I'm gonna paste that there. I'm gonna make it 1920 by 10. And then I'm gonna press, okay, and now my overlay bar is gonna come up. So to be able to link this to your camera, what you're gonna want do is you're gonna want to take your camera, unlock it, and you want to size it up, right? So you wanna make sure that it fits directly inside of the webcam. So if you have too much of a border, you can use the alt or the option key on your keyboard to be able to go ahead and size it. Once you have this in place, what you're gonna wanna do is you wanna select the webcam. As you can do that by holding command or control on your keyboard, , you'll go ahead and use, grab the webcam and the cam right click on it, and you wanna select group selected item. What this does is that it now links both together, so when you move it and you resize it, they both stay. So you can see here now that you have your stream labels for your overlay bar and for your webcam overlay as well. So now that you have your stream labels set up inside of O Bs studio. You now want to be able to go ahead and set up alerts. That way when somebody does follow or somebody does donate, it pops up on screen giving them a moment of shine so you can be able to encourage others to do the same. So go ahead and watch this video right here where I'll walk you step by step on how to set up alerts inside of O B S studio. I'll see you guys in the next video.
