want to talk to you about I don't I don't know how to put it into words right now we're pretty much at a point where leaving your house cost $200 and most of us are able to adjust you know if we're spending more on groceries maybe we can spend less on gasoline or we can turn the lights out save a little bit on electricity well the prices in the last couple of years have skyrocketed so much that it cost $200 to leave your house and this is not a disposable income thing this is not a partying thing or having a few beers thing this is just groceries and gas money you know know this is this is not easy and I've gotten to the point where I am like shopping the deals I'm stocking up stocking up my freezer this whatever steak this is I don't know what kind of steak it is uh was on super clearance or special or whatever for 4.98 a pound which is like the cheapest you can get for steak and it has bones in it maybe it's a T-bone steak I'm making my own barbecue sauce using homegrown tomatoes and soy sauce and garlic powder um orange juice I not orange juice like you buy at the store but like you know squeezing some orange in there with the Tomato I mean we are all just doing our best trying to save on our expenses save some money and it's getting harder it is it's getting harder but one of the things that I see with a lot of money saving is that people will want to save money on their expenses just so they can spend their money on something else people don't want to reduce their expenses so they can you know donate to a charity or reduce their expenses so they can save money and invest for the future maybe give something to their children they just want to save money for the sake of not spending it and there is more to life than just that I made a video a long time ago and I said in it greed is good I don't even recall what I said in that video but I kind of I I regret making that video cuz greed is not good there are absolutely more important things than money absolutely once you have enough enough what is enough to you first of all you know is enough being able to live the rest of your life without working is enough you know paying off your mortgage and and your debt and being debt-free is enough just paying your basic bills and that's it nothing left over everybody's different but once you have enough then anything beyond enough is just extra and in when most people have extra they spend it on like it's like they're trying to get their bank account down to zero on purpose which I I'll never understand but this this world is I don't even know how to get you need money to survive we all know that this is a money-saving channel so I talk about money but to be honest with you every time I sit down and film a video I have to get my mindset back into talking about money saving because I don't think about money I I don't in my hey stop in my normal life money is not my top priority anymore it it was my top priority 25 years ago when I was getting out of debt and it was my top priority for a year and a half so I could get out a debt ever since then it's just not number one and I hope you all aren't saddened to hear that because I know you all think that I'm some money person who all I think about is money which is not the case I very rarely think about money with my friends and my I don't talk about money I talk about money on YouTube my family has no idea how much money I have or how much I make or anything all they're all they want to know is are you happy like are you happy making these videos yes yes I'm happy making these videos when I talk to my friends and you know my family I'm not like how much do you make at your job how much debt do you have what is your credit card balance you know we don't it's not that it's uh taboo or anything we just don't care but there are so many things that are more important than money in this world loving your fellow man using good intentions with love in mind whatever intentions you have should be with love in mind not with how can I get one over on the next person how can I profit from this person those are bad motives who oh scared mommy scared mommy me you scared me with the wood and then you jumped it was scary it was scary yes yes so scary good girl you're so cute oh my goodness my little puppy look at you look at you what are you doing I'm letting her grow her hair grow out I want to see what she looks like she's part yorky so it's supposed to go like down to the floor which is crazy to me oh and and then of course this guy hoping I drop something sorry good intentions so yeah good intentions should be love should be your main thing with your intentions helping other people making their lives easier not making your life easier making putting money in your pocket or anything like that okay look out silly girl but like I said going anywhere cost $200 a day $200 a trip now is it are we at the point you and people say people expect because we've got this crazy inflation that this generation has never seen before we haven't seen this since the 70s which is before I was born but '70s and early 80s from what I understand but people haven't seen it before so they they think that the price prices are going to go down but they're not that's not that's not what inflation is the prices are not the prices are never going to be better than they are today you know for the most you know what I mean like you know you'll see sales and stuff like that you know but for the most part this is as low priced as things are going to be like ever so prices are not going to go down inflation might go down which doesn't mean prices are going to go down inflation going down just means instead of things going up by 10% things are going to go up by 3% every year for the rest of our lives and it's something we have to get used to which is not fun not fun at all so what I would suggest because this is a what's the word a Solutions based Channel learn about money I know that I mean you can learn about money here you can but reading books is how I did it but Rocky hey don't knock over the don't knock it over but um if you don't you know most people think they understand what inflation is but they don't think they think that it's going to stop and prices are going to go back no the prices are not going to go back they're just going to rise at a slower rate so as a solution investing in a standard S&P 500 Index Fund I believe it's SW PPX uh Vu is an overall stock anyway I don't want to get into it that's a whole other video but the S&P historically for the last 100 years has produced a 10% rate of return overall and when you put in 20,000 bucks and you see it go down by $1,000 that's usually when people freak out and say I don't have I can't I can't lose this money and I already lost $1,000 so I have to take out the1 19 ,000 then you pay whatever taxes or anything like that they don't wait out the ride because once it goes down to 19,000 2 weeks later it's at 21 or 22,000 because that's how fluctuations in the stock market work but people freak out they take the money out too early it's really fun not looking at your account your 401k your brokerage account your IRA it's really fun not looking at your account account for 5 years and then remembering oh yeah I've got that account and you go back and you put in $20,000 and now you know 5 years later it's worth 30 and you're like how did that happen well that is uh this the wonder of the world the ninth Eighth Wonder the ninth wonder of the world which is what is it Rocky I because I can't I seriously can't think of the word you're such a good boy but anyway I can't think of the word and it's a word I use every day so I can't and I can't even think about it oh my gosh but um yeah doing that investing is the only way to become wealthy you it's it's maybe one tenth of 100 of 1% % of people who save their way into wealth it's almost impossible you have to invest oh accumulation oh gosh anyway um way back in the day when I quote unquote came out as a millionaire people kept saying the numbers don't add up these are from people who don't invest and they don't understand how it works so I would say you know maybe I've got a million bucks but you got to remember um I've been investing for what 20 20 25 years is so if you do that compound interest geez finally compound interest so if I've got a million bucks maybe I only put in $200,000 and it turned into a million over 25 years maybe I only put in 150 and I got got really lucky on an investment a lot of the stock uh stock returns have been 25 28% year-over-year maybe I did that but and honestly I don't know because it would take me so much time to figure out exactly exactly how much I put in and like with all my different accounts so I haven't done that I'm just not interested in doing it hey that you thought I dropped food I saw that but I didn't put in a million dollars people act like I just put a million dollars in a savings account that's not how it works that's not what I did that's not where my money is I don't have a million dollars I have a million dollars worth of assets worth of stocks and index funds and mutual funds that's where my money is it's not in a savings account y'all crazy y'all crazy good girl let's turn this camera around you all can enjoy my bad hair do I don't know why it sticks out on the side sometimes but then it sometimes wants to go into the bun and be nice and tight I don't know I'm just sitting out here barbecuing enjoying the first day of not horrible weather and I'm barbecuing on free wood that my neighbor gave me I've got a whole pile over there and um the smoke from this type of I I I think it's Walnut Wood the smoke flavors the meat it's delicious I think I need to put more wood on this fire it's starting to get kind of light now I'm just smoking the meat at this [Music] point hold please today's grocery shopping day I ran out of a lot so cereal is up to like $7 a box and I don't I mean I like cereal once in a while but when I get tired of oatmeal because oatmeal is like mostly what I eat when I get tired of oatmeal I sort of switch I switch over to eggs and potatoes I cute I like my potatoes cubed cuz they they cook faster that way and yesterday I ran out of eggs and potatoes and with T-Bones usually I would cut these into 3 oz portions but because there's a bone in there I can't really cut them into 3 oz portions so I'm going to be having a big old piece of steak and veggies for dinner and I have recently learned that um wheat no longer uh carbs not not all carbs um any processed anything processed does not agree with me anymore I bought these um David's cookies I don't know if you guys have ever heard of them snowballs got them for Christmas gifts one of them where I was supposed to meet with a friend didn't pan out uh so I ate them cuz I'm not going to spend 20 bucks on cookies and then $30 to ship them so um I ate them and the next day I no feels like there's a rock in my stomach that type of thing so um anything that has processed flour no it the only carbs I can have is like natural car I can't eat mac and cheese anymore the only carbs I can eat is like potatoes or rice like real product that's not processed potatoes and rice and that's it I can't eat bread anymore um Pizza can't even eat pizza anymore I mean I can but then I'm not really feeling that great for like 3 days and no I'm not allergic to anything no I'm not gluten intolerant nothing like that I'm just so used to eating just meat and vegetables my stomach that's how my stomach is now and and I don't feel like nauseous I just feel not good like it zaps my energy type thing and I'm babbling I don't know what is wrong with me lately I just keep babbling in front of the camera okay here's something I moved my artichoke plants from this corner and they're now along the fence you can't see them cuz they're so small they die back and then grow back for the most part usually and I was really worried that I had killed them all cuz um they looked dead so I chopped them down but I'm really patient with artichoke because I know that like you can't kill them in California what happens is you plant them and then all the leaves fall over and then people assume that they're dead so they throw them away thinking they killed the plant no just leave it there trust me keep watering it like normal just leave it there and the next season it comes back and aroke is uh like I whatever that what is with my word problem today so propagating so they propagate so right now I'm going to go over there and cut them up and off of my three plants and I'm going to turn it into probably five or six plants oh yeah oh yeah I can make five or six no problem So eventually this it's probably going to be like all lined with artichoke in five years okay I got a nice fire back nice fire where are you my dog's just following me around I wonder do you guys like this style of video where I'm just babbling talking a little bit about money saving and I prefer by the way I prefer cooking over a fire like I pref um not only is it free it's it's free let's be honest um but it just tastes better and I like the process more than doing I don't like steak out of an oven or on the on the top burners I just don't like it that way oh there we go okay that's going to be good sorry I'm not going to be able to give you a taste test because um tonight I already have a meal ready and I'm not going to be eating this for like another day or two so um but because I'm going grocery shopping today and I had a nice good amount of time in between that's why I'm doing this and um people ask sometimes about my ebikes I still have seven um I'm trying to get rid of three the anoke the van Powers Urban Glide and the KY rusher ovia trying to sell those nobody's buying them um and then the other ones I want to keep which is the ad motor mx66 the high peak Bonet the EU S4 and the Uno e torque those are my favority e bites and all for different reasons so the ad motor the ad motor which is Rocky is guarding right now it has the Vintage seat and it'll hold two people it's got the pegs on the back so I can hold two people the high peak Bona the yellow one and the EU S4 are my favorite for off-roads and then the uni Uno e torque I hitch up to the trailer and that is my grocery shopping ebike there you go all right folks this is just about ready I got to get off off here I'm just in a really loving mood I love you all guys I love all you guys just go love somebody Put a Little Love in Your Heart we'll make the world we'll make a better place oh the world we'll make a better place
