14.9 is a huge meta shifting patch as we've got Nerfs to many of the op Champs from previous patches along with item Nerfs that will influence a ton of fighter Champions so in today's video we'll be and get the rank you actually want and with that said let's get into it let's start off the video by covering all the massive item changes and first up is death stance death stance is the lone fighter item that will be buffed in 14.9 as Riot's increasing its ad from 55 to 60 heal on kill bonus ad ratio is also going up from 50 to 75% death stce has been one of the Lesser purchased fighter items in season 14 so with these Buffs combined with a lot of other fighter items being nerfed death dance should become a much more attractive second or third pickup on many champs moving on to all the itemer Nerfs Eclipse will be losing power but only for melee Champions as the max Health damage is going from 8 to 6% Eclipse has been one of the god tier items throughout season 14 so this change will negatively influence a ton of Champs it's really the Champions that build eclipse in combination with sundered sky that are going to be negatively influen the most for this patch sunnd dis Skies coold down is being increased from 6 to 8 seconds the heel base ad ratio is also dropping from 140 to 120% so who are those Champions that have been building Eclipse with suned sky that will be feeling the most pain for 14.9 Leen Brier and Riven are three Champs who had almost exclusively been running eclipse and sunnd sky as their two core items in recent patches so we can expect for them to lose the most amount of strength to top it all off the third fighter item being nerfed for 14.9 is sterk Gage cost is going up from 3,000 to 3200 gold while the passive cool down is being increased from 60 to 90 seconds STX tends to be a third or fourth purchase on a lot of Champions so this change shouldn't drastically shift the strength of many champs it's really just the Champs who like to build sterk second that will be suffering the most Darius Urgot elao and set are a few Champs who liked going ster second more than others so that strategy likely gets thrown out the window for 14.9 especially for Darius a lot of players had even been rushing ster on in recent patches so that strategy will no longer be viable we've got a Nerf to hex Drinker for this patch as Riot will be reducing the magic resist on the item from 35 to 30 ma is going to receive a similar change with its magic resist dropping from 50 to 40 there's a lot more changes to ma though as it's almost getting a mini rework price is going up from 2,800 to 3,100 Gold there will will now be 15 ability haste on the item ad is going up from 65 to 70 instead of Life steal you will now gain omniv Vamp from the lifeline passive Lifeline passive Shield will now also last for 3 seconds instead of 2.5 so overall a bunch of changes that look to increase the offensive strength of ma while reducing its defensive power it's going to be a pretty light patch for direct Top Lane changes with three Champions being adjusted and first we have Kenan it's quality of life Buffs that will be issued to Kenan as his R will have a new animation and you'll now be able to cast it while moving e is going to have a range indicator when you hover over it so the fact Kenan can now move while casting R is actually pretty huge and will make him feel a lot more smooth to play it's difficult to say how much a change like this will add to kenan's solo Q win rate but we expect him to be a decent pick again for 14.9 so we're giving him a push out of C tier and into B Olaf is going to be nerfed for 14.9 as his Q damage is taking a hit being lowered by five at all ranks Q monster damage is going up though so that Olaf jungle does not suffer as much our passive resists will be lowered but only at the second and third ranks considering it's not just just these direct Nerfs that will negatively influence Olaf for next patch but also the suned sky Nerfs a move from s into a tier is what we see fit Urgot has been in the op tier for a while now so Riot has decided to issue a Nerf and it's going to be to his armor strength as they're lowering it from 5.45 to 5 the Nerfs Sy sterics will also negatively affect Urgot for this patch so although the champ will still be a great pickup we're going to be moving him out of op and into s Top Lane tier list is all over the place for 14.9 as we've made a ton of adjustments just one champion in the op tier right now and it's trundle trundle is has been a great solo que performer in recent patches and he's one of the few fighters who is not affected by any of the item Nerfs trundle does not build Eclipse suned sky or stars in his core so while many other Fighters are dropping down trundle becomes indirectly stronger atrox will see a nice indirect boost for this patch as well with his lethality build as he does not rely on any of the items that are being nerfed as for the Top Lane Champs who will be negatively influenced the most Renekton Riven and Pantheon are three of the biggest losers Riven especially as she likes building Eclipse into thered Sky as her two item core so she's being moved down the tier list for 14.9 scarner is seeing a bunch of Nerfs for this patch and we'll cover them in detail when looking at the jungle roll however they will still negatively impact him for Top Lane as well top scarner has not been performing nearly as well as jungle in 14.8 so with the Nerfs we're dropping him from s into a tier and before we head into the jungle let's boost your win rate with skill caps tip of the week while leak functionally operates like a two-dimensional game a third dimension is included even though it's only visual this can cause some incredibly annoying issues when aiming at someone who is being knocked up or using an ability that causes their Champion to spring up into the air when these interactions happen it's important to remember that the z-axis doesn't exist so you should aim at where they would be in a two dimensional space this often means just aiming for where their feet were before any of the visual cues started and your skill shots are sure to connect this also goes for Champions that are rather tall or big in stature hit boxes are always where the champion would touch the ground not their actual model for Champions that float like aan Soul you might feel like abilities should connect if they touch any part of his body but they will actually just phase through his tail as if nothing nothing were happening it's important to understand that champion hit boxes are really just circles on the ground and get a feel for where it is you're actually trying to aim to connect with your opponent if you look at the jungle changes now starting with some Buffs to aumu base ad is going up from 53 to 57 while base armor is up by three this helps out with a mumu's clear more than anything else as extra base ad is not the most intriguing buff by any means even though B ad is up by four it's not like a Mumu is constantly Auto attacking as much as an ADC would be so this buff won't be nearly as impactful for him as it would be for an ADC despite the Buffs we're going to keep aumu in the jungle B tier there's a chance the Buffs are enough to push him into a but for now he'll remain in B to has been the lowest win rate jungler for nearly every single patch of the season so riots finally decided to buffer in 14.9 passive bonus armor and Magic resist scaling is going up from 50 to 75% W base damage is being reduced however the max Health damage is going up and as you can see in the comparison Clips this is indeed a net buff for how weak of a champ sge has been in recent Patches by no means will these Buffs push her into meta she could squeeze into B tier but we'll be leaving her in C for now there are a bunch of junglers being nerfed for this patch and Evelyn is one of them W slow is being lowered from 65 to 45% our AP ratio is being reduced from 75 to 65% Evelyn has been hovering in between s and a tier over the past while now so as a result of these Nerfs we see her losing that s tier conversation and solidifying a spot in the a tier a Nerf to master ye is on the way as Riot will be reducing his e damage by 10 at all ranks since damage from E is guaranteed this Nerf will definitely hurt and will'll be pushing ye down one tier going from s into a scarner had been the most OP jungler throughout 14.8 so he's being tagged with a bunch of Nerfs for this patch Mana regen growth is going up from 0.6 to 0.75 which is the only buff it's all Nerfs from here on out as Q damage is dropping off by 20 at Max rank W slow is being lowered from 20 scaling to 40% to just 20% flat w Max Health scaling is dropping from 9 to 8% so all things considered these Nerfs are definitely impactful but we have to take into context just how well scarner had been performing in 14.8 win rate was upwards of 54% in the jungle so even if these Nerfs lead to a 3% drop he'd still be in a great spot there's a chance the Nerfs hit a bit harder than expected and scarner loses upwards of 5% to his win rate but more realistically we see 3% being about the Max and we'll be leaving him in the op tier as a result something that's also very important to account for when raiding new Champions is that players just learning how to pile of the champ optimally can actually outweigh the effects of Nerfs from patch to patch we saw this with Brier when she was released as Riot kept nerfing her for multiple patches in a row but her win rate never actually went down due to more and more players figuring out how to play her optimally Riot's looking to reduce the strength of Tia jungle for next patch with her Q bonus monster damage AP ratio dropping from 10 to 5% Q Mana cost is also going to be increased by 10 honestly not a change that really matters too much considering you never really run into Mana issues while clearing the jungle these days as a result we'll be leaving Tia in the jungle a tier Riot's going to be issuing some changes to Bel for next patch that aim to reduce her scaling strength passive attack speed scaling will now scale up until Level 17 whereas before you got the max value at level 13 Q damage total ad ratio is dropping from 110 to 100% to compensate though and so that bv's clear speed remains intact Q monster damage is being changed from 140% total ad to a flat 45 scaling to 85 rius stated that this change will be a buff up until you reach 136 total ad so all in all these should land as net Nerfs to Bel as her mid to late game Skirmish strength is being lowered however there's a chance that the monster damage buff to Q is enough to outweigh both the other Nerfs if anything it's most likely that in the higher elos these changes don't matter as much but in lower ELO where games last longer and you have more time to scale these scaling Nerfs will be more detrimental it's tough to say exactly how belet's power will shift for solo Q next patch so we'll be leaving her in the S tier for now so for our jungle tier list lots of moving Parts in 14.9 op tier will stay the same as last patch with scarner locking down the slot you'll notice that a bunch of fighter Champions have been moved down the tier list as the item changes will be negatively influencing a good chunk of them Leon and Brier especially are two junglers who will be losing the most amount of strength for next patch since they were Champs that have liked rushing eclipse and going into suned Sky second with all these Fighters losing strength watch out for Majors like Fiddlesticks and brand brand in specific is highly underrated right now in the jungle and his relative strength is only getting better for 14.9 and if you're serious about climbing from the jungle right now we've got a plethora of new content on our website with six new courses to help you guys out Ms is always had one of the weakest early games for any midlane champ but Riot's looking to make it a bit more manageable for 14.9 Q Mana cost is being lowered from 80 flat to 60 scaling to 80 e cool down is also buffed as it's dropping from 15 down to 11 seconds at rank one both changes will make life a little easier in securing last hits up until your lost chapter by in the past using Q to secure minions has felt really bad due to the high Mana cost so 20 less Mana is really nice of course this is only an early game buff though so it's definitely more High ELO skewed for the lower ranks Mals likely gains very little power from these changes and for that reason we won't be moving him up the tier list a few of the most OP midlaners from recent patches are being nerfed and first we got arri W damage is going to be lowered by five at all ranks R cool down is being increased but only at the second and third ranks so more of a midgame Nerf to Ari here which will hit her a decent amount as mid game with two items completed is where she really comes online as a result of these Nerfs we'll be moving Ari out of the op tier and pushing her into s aelan soul is next in the chopping block as Riot has a Nerf lined up for his e reducing the AP ratio from 100 to 80% definitely not the end of the world for raan soul but much like Ari we will be shifting him down one tier going from op into s cidan is going to be nerfed in 14.9 with his e as the spell that will be targeted the AP ratio on cassin's E is being reduced from 80 to 70% similar to the previous midlane Nerfs this change doesn't remove ctin from The Meta as it's only enough to shift him down one tier going from s into a riots looking to shift some defensive power off of auction and in exchange give him more more offensive attributes movement speed on Q is being lowered at Max rank going from 40 to 20% Q non- Champion damage is also down from 90 to 80% at Max rank to compensate our minimum damage is going up across the board as the base damage and total ad ratio are both being increased our Max damage is being changed as well so that the base damage is slightly lower early on but the scaling is up these changes likely land slightly net negative for auction just because you'll more consistently be feeling the effects of the Q Nerf as opposed to the r buff we'll be leaving auction in the s tier for the time being but if the changes do land more harsh than expected he could need a push into a tier lots of new looks across the mid lane tier list in 14.9 as the op tier will now be locked down by Diana and brand brand mid is highly underrated right now our Challenger midlaners Hector and shy both think very highly of brand mid as he's just such a reliable force that will always be impactful there are a few midlane Champs to where you can bot the early game super hard but still remain relevant but brand is one of them all you need is LeAndre and The champ is basically full build the AOE damage output in team fights is nuts and if you run ghost for your secondary Summoner spell once you have riy completed the cutting power that brand has is off the charts Gallo is one other champ we are moving up the tier list for 14.9 as he's really been excelling over the past patch due to his recent Buffs and very versatile builds you can play One-Shot Gallia with lichbane if your team needs damage Hollow Radiance Rush is incredibly strong to counter heavy AP comps while shelia's Rush works amazing if your team is already heavy damage where some added utility will fit in super well and if you're looking to climb from mid lane right now we just released five brand new courses for the role on our website that will really help you out after dominating the ADC meta for multiple patches in a row we've got a Nerf to jinx our cool down will be lowered more significantly at rank one so that the early to midgame snowball strength of jinx is weakened this really shouldn't be a killing blow Nerf to jinx but we do see it being enough to Warrant a push out of op tier and down into s a little odd to see Heavy twitch Nerfs coming in for this patch as the champ has not been nearly as high priority as Jinx base health of twitch is dropping from 68 2 to 630 so that early game is going to become more exploitable now Health per level is up though from 100 to 104 so late game twitch will be a smidge bit tankier than before our bonus ad is seeing a pretty big drop off being lowered by 10 at all ranks W slow AP ratio is being reduced as well from 6 to 5% twitch should still be a serviceable pickup for 14.9 but he's no longer going to lock down an S tier spot as we're moving him into a the third 8C will be changed for 14.9 is Nila as Riot wants to remove some of the upfront damage from her kit and in exchange give her some extended fight power they'll be doing this by lowering the total ad ratio and crit ratio on nila's Q damage in exchange she'll be getting a buff to Q's active attack speed going from 10 scaling to 50% to 10 scaling to 60% we definitely see Nila becoming weaker due to these adjustments but not to the extent where she falls out of meta so we'll only be moving her from op into s so if we have a look at how the ADC tier list is shaping out with Jinx and Nila both dropping down it now leaves Koga as the Standalone most OP ADC jyn and Cog are the two adcs we would put highest priority on for 14.9 as jyn's been great coming off his recent Buffs while Cog has been super solid for multiple patches now ever since he was originally buffed ADC is definitely the role that sees the least drastic shift in meta for this patch as the Nerfs are more Placebo than anything and likely won't shift the priority picks very much there's a log Jam in the ADC a tier right now as most adcs are actually in good spots with the exception of COG there really won't be any ADC that is too egregious in 14.9 so just choosing whatever you're most comfortable on is a good idea we've got quite a few changes to support for this patch probably the most we've seen all season to be honest karma is up first as Riot will be buffing her utility for this patch with Q slow going from 35 to 40% R plus e AOE Shield will be increased from 90 to 100% while R plus e AOE haste is up from 12 to 15% Buffs really aren't that impactful and considering how weak of a solo Q champ Karma has been in recent patches they're definitely not enough to push her back into meta so it we'll be leaving her in the C tier a scaling buff to saraphina is on the way for this patch as her qap ratio will be increased from 50 to 60% not really a change that impacts support seraphine that much considering it's way harder to reach High AP thresholds with the income of a support we don't see this one moving the needle to propel seraphine higher up the tier list so she will remain in the a tier a few supports we've had rated very highly over the past few patches are being nerfed in 14.9 and first up is blitzcrank passive Shield duration is being reduced from 10 to 4 seconds W movement speed is also nerfed dropping by 10% at all ranks honestly Nerfs aren't too bad and Blitz should remain a pretty solid pick up for 14.9 so all we'll be doing is moving him from op into s Pike Nerfs are penciled in for this patch with his W being the spell that Riot is targeted W Mana cost is going up from 50 to 65 while the cooldown is being increased by 2 seconds these Nerfs match the theme of what we've been seeing in this patch as changes that aren't overly impactful so we'll just be moving Pike down one tier going from s into a Janna is the final Champion that will be adjusted for next patch as Riot wants to take away power from W Max and throw a bit of strength back into emac they'll be doing this by lowering W Bas damage at Max rank going going from 195 down to 175 the AP ratio on W is also taking a hit going from 60 to 50% in exchange emac will become more rewarding as The Shield at Max rank is going from 220 to 240 definitely net negative changes for Janna but she shouldn't be falling in power all that much and will only be moving her from op into s so we're going with quite a new look to the upper echelon of the support tier list for 14.9 as the op tier will now consist of Sona Nami and Braum all three of these Champs have been next in line trailing right in behind Janna and Blitz in recent patches so with all the changes this patch we're moving them up it was back in 14.7 to where both Nami and Sona received some really impactful Buffs and they've been excelling ever since there's also been a ton of indirect changes over the past while that has really favored enchanters as items like solsa slle blood song and realm Spike have all been nerfed while Dream Maker was buffed as for Braum he's just a really solid melee support right now great Synergy with Jinx and Lucian who are two of the higher priority adcs and such a hard counter to the majority
